Far-left Congressman Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) has expressed irritation with reporters asking why he lied about pulling a fire alarm to disrupt a budget debate in Congress, demanding: “Man, why are we still talking about this, man?”
Asked why he pleaded guilty to pulling the fire alarm deliberately, despite having initially claimed he thought the lever would open a door, the New York Democrat insisted: “That’s behind me, that’s been adjudicated, we’re done. Pay the fine, move forward, in three months it’ll be dismissed.”
Reporters pressed Bowman on the fact he had not been “straight” about having pulled the alarm by accident, but he insisted he had been “very straight… from the very beginning.”
Further pressed on the fact his criminal actions were an ongoing subject of discussion in Congress, Bowman grew more frustrated.
“Come on, man,” he said, channeling Joe Biden. “Yeah, whatever, man. That’s all good,” he added.
Many January 6th protesters accused of disrupting Congressional proceedings are facing months or even years in federal prison.
