Germany is preparing to take in hundreds of Palestinians fleeing the Gaza Strip, with a large number of them already headed toward the German Embassy in Cairo, Egypt.
The far-left German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock has announced that “we have been able to achieve that around 320 Germans, including their family members, could leave Gaza safely.” However, the country’s Federal Foreign Office refused to provide any information as to how many of the 320 were recognized German citizens.

The decision has already sparked concern among Germany’s security apparatus, who suggest potentially hundreds of Hamas terrorists may arrive in the country under the guise of being refugees.
“The federal government must ensure that it does not bring Hamas supporters or even terrorist murderers into the country. For this purpose, thorough police work of German and Israeli authorities before departure from Cairo is mandatory,” said Andrea Lindholz, vice president of the CSU.
The move follows several top Israeli politicians demanding that Europe and the United States open their borders to potentially millions of people living in the Gaza Strip while Israel launches its ground invasion into the Hamas-controlled territory.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: J.D. Vance, European leaders, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, French President Emmanuel Macron, and President Donald J. Trump.
📍WHEN & WHERE: Recent remarks at the World Economic Forum (WEF) summit in Davos, Switzerland, and private discussions between U.S. and European officials.
💬KEY QUOTE: “A lot of this is posturing, right? If you’re a European leader, they have to seem like a tough guy against Donald J. Trump. So a lot of this, what we’ve seen, is more symbolic posturing for the Europeans. Behind the scenes, they’re much more reasonable.” – J.D. Vance
🎯IMPACT: The debate over Greenland has strained U.S.-Europe relations, with European leaders publicly rejecting U.S. ambitions to acquire the territory while acknowledging security concerns privately.
IN FULL
Vice President J.D. Vance has said that European leaders are more receptive in private to U.S. interests in Greenland than their public rhetoric suggests, revealing that recent statements are political posturing rather than genuinely immovable opposition. Vance acknowledged that European officials have been “incredibly hostile in public,” but added that “a lot of this is posturing, right? If you’re a European leader, they have to seem like a tough guy against Donald J. Trump.”
“So a lot of this, what we’ve seen, is more symbolic posturing for the Europeans. Behind the scenes, they’re much more reasonable,” he explained. “They’ve also acknowledged that, God forbid, something significant happened in Greenland, the United States would have to play the leading role in defending it,” he added, saying there is “broad recognition that much of what we said about Greenland is actually true, and it’s interesting to juxtapose the public posturing with the very reasonable private negotiations that we’ve had with the Europeans.”
Notably, when German forces overran Denmark proper in a matter of hours during World War II, it fell to the U.S. to move into Greenland to secure the Western Hemisphere against any attempt by Adolf Hitler to take control of it, even before America had entered the war.
Vance’s comments come amid rising tensions between Washington and European capitals over Greenland, the world’s largest island and a strategically critical territory in the Arctic. Greenland already hosts U.S. military infrastructure, including Thule Air Base, and is increasingly seen as vital for Arctic defense, shipping routes, and access to critical minerals.
At the World Economic Forum (WEF) summit in Davos, Switzerland, European leaders openly criticized U.S. Greenland policy, with French President Emmanuel Macron accusing Washington of “useless aggressivity” and “new imperialism” during a bizarre speech in which he wore Joe Biden-style Aviator sunglasses indoors. Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen also claimed that “We can negotiate about everything politically—security, investments, the economy. But we cannot negotiate about our sovereignty.”
President Donald J. Trump announced following the summit that the United States and its allies had agreed to a “framework” concerning Greenland’s future, following discussions with NATO leadership. Trump has indicated the framework will address security cooperation and access to Greenland’s mineral resources.
In his own speech at Davos, he advised European leaders to focus on their failures on energy and mass migration rather than Greenland.

💬KEY QUOTE: “I mean, if somebody comes at me wearing a mask, by the way, I’m a gun owner, and I can’t tell whether they’re a police officer, what am I supposed to do?” – Kris Mayes
🎯IMPACT: The comments mark a continued escalation in violent rhetoric by Democrat politicians against federal law enforcement engaging in immigration operations.
IN FULL
Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes (D) has falsely suggested it could be legal for people to use deadly force against masked U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, under Arizona’s “Stand Your Ground” law, if they feel their life is in danger. During an interview on Tuesday, Mayes stated, “You have these masked federal officers… and we have a Stand Your Ground law that says that if you reasonably believe your life is in danger… you can defend yourself with lethal force.”
The Arizona Democrat previously stated, “I don’t believe ICE is a real law enforcement agency.” Her remarks continue a disturbing trend among Democrats who have employed increasingly violent rhetoric against federal immigration enforcement officers. Earlier this month, anti-ICE activist Renee Nicole Good was fatally shot in Minnesota after attempting to run over an ICE agent.

“I mean, if somebody comes at me wearing a mask, by the way, I’m a gun owner, and I can’t tell whether they’re a police officer, what am I supposed to do?” Mayes said, claiming she was “not suggesting people pull out their guns, but this is a ‘Don’t Tread On Me’ state.”
Despite Mayes’s false claim that ICE agents are not “real law enforcement,” it is a congressionally authorized federal law enforcement agency within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and has the full powers of any other federal law enforcement agency.
In addition to her false claim regarding ICE’s law status, Mayes also bizarrely threatened to prosecute ICE agents for infractions under Arizona law, despite the constitutional principle of federal supremacy.

Infamous drug trafficker, Sinaloa Cartel associate, and former Olympic snowboarder Ryan Wedding has been arrested after being added to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list last year. A Canadian national, Wedding is accused of running a major drug network that smuggled cocaine from Colombia through Mexico into the United States. In addition, Wedding, 44, is accused of orchestrating several brutal murders to protect his drug trafficking interests.
Federal law enforcement believes that Wedding was hiding in Mexico under the protection of the Sinaloa Cartel prior to his arrest. FBI Director Kash Patel formally announced the Olympian’s capture on Friday.
🚨 BREAKING: FBI Director Kash Patel confirms historic arrest of Ten Most Wanted fugitive and Olympian Ryan Wedding, a wanted international narco-trafficker who was reportedly involved in m*rders
“A modern-day EL CHAPO…and he thought he could evade justice!”
Wedding is accused of taking out a “multimillion-dollar bounty” targeting a federal witness against him last November. The FBI also contends that Wedding, along with his alleged second-in-command, Andrew Clark, 34, ordered the killings of two members of a Canadian family in 2023 as retaliation for a stolen drug shipment. The pair is further accused of directing the killing of another person in 2024 over an unresolved drug debt.
In 2002, Ryan Wedding represented Canada during the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah. However, by 2024, the athlete found himself criminally charged by the U.S. government for overseeing a sprawling cocaine smuggling operation which used semi-trucks to transport narcotics from Colombia—using routes through Mexico—destined for sale in the United States and Canada.
Last November, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced additional charges against Wedding, including two counts of murder involving the deaths of two witnesses in Colombia that were part of a federal extradition proceeding against him. He was previously convicted in the United States in 2010 on conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

A severe and sprawling winter storm is set to blanket much of the United States in snow and ice over the weekend, likely impacting upwards of 230 million Americans. The National Weather Service (NWS) predicts the storm will stretch from New Mexico to Virginia on Saturday before moving into the Northeast by Sunday. States across the country have issued disaster or emergency declarations in preparation for the dangerous conditions.
The storm is expected to be accompanied by unusually severe cold, with most of the northern half of the United States being plunged into sub-zero temperatures. “Record Cold Wave expected to hit 40 States,” President Donald J. Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social on Friday. “Rarely seen anything like it before. Could the Environmental Insurrectionists please explain — WHATEVER HAPPENED TO GLOBAL WARMING???”
Energy experts have cautioned that the sustained cold temperatures could lead to widespread power outages. U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright emphasized that federal authorities are working to ensure backup generators are available at critical facilities to prevent blackouts, stating, “We’re going to do everything we can to keep the lights on and to keep power prices down [during the storm].” However, with a band of the storm expected to produce significant ice and snow, millions of Americans could be left without electricity as power lines are brought down by falling trees or the weight of ice buildup.
Notably, the storm is already causing significant disruptions, with over 1,200 flights canceled or delayed as of Friday morning, according to FlightAware. Airlines such as Delta, American, JetBlue, and Southwest have warned passengers to expect further cancellations as the storm progresses. Chicago Public Schools canceled classes on Friday due to extreme cold, while New York Governor Kathy Hochul (D) declared a state of emergency, warning of “some of the most dangerous cold we’ve seen in years.”
In Texas, where temperatures are expected to drop into the 10s, the state’s vulnerable power grid is once again under scrutiny.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Reported on Friday, with actions spanning multiple field offices, including Atlanta, New Orleans, New York, and Miami.
🎯IMPACT: The precise number of departures remains unclear, and some dismissed agents have already filed lawsuits.
IN FULL
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel has ordered the removal of a number of senior figures at the bureau who were either involved in or helped spearhead politically motivated actions against President Donald J. Trump. It is believed that senior field office leaders in Atlanta and New Orleans, as well as the acting assistant director overseeing the New York field office, were among those removed. Several of the agents have already filed lawsuits to attempt to prevent their removal.
Additionally, as many as six agents in Miami, Florida, were reportedly forced out due to their involvement in the FBI’s raid on Mar-a-Lago, which included authorization to use deadly force. Other agents removed were tied to the Biden-era Arctic Frost scandal, a corrupt investigation overseen by former FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge Timothy Thibault and, subsequently, by special counsel Jack Smith.
News of the firings follows Jack Smith testifying before the House Judiciary Committee on Capitol Hill. He was pressed on several instances of overreach, including the subpoenaing of phone toll records pertaining to then House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), who was bizarrely considered a flight risk.
On Thursday, Smith admitted that he expects to be indicted for his role in Arctic Frost, and was unable to explain why his investigative team considered McCarthy—who was the newly elected House Speaker—to be a possible risk for fleeing the country.
While Democrats have routinely called Smith the “Gold Standard” of federal prosecutors, Representative Tom Tiffany (R-WI) noted that the former special counsel’s most high-profile cases against American political figures have either been thrown out by the Supreme Court, ended in mistrials, or, in the case of President Trump, dismissed.

💬KEY QUOTE: “We’re watching Iran. I’d rather not see anything happen, but we’re watching them very closely.” – Donald Trump
🎯IMPACT: The U.S. could be poised to strike the Iranian regime, potentially empowering dissidents to oust the mullahs.
IN FULL
President Donald J. Trump has warned that an American “armada” is en route to the Persian Gulf, as thousands are believed dead amid violent protests against the Islamic Republic of Iran’s ruling mullahs. “We’re watching Iran,” he said while departing the World Economic Forum (WEF) summit in Davos, Switzerland this week, adding: “I’d rather not see anything happen but we’re watching them very closely.”
President Trump had previously indicated that he would strike the Iranian regime if protesters began to be slaughtered, but the prospect of intervention may have at least somewhat diminished, with Trump saying, “Iran does want to talk, and we’ll talk.”
Nevertheless, he stressed that a “massive fleet” is heading to Iran “just in case.” Earlier this year, a similar naval build-up off Venezuela culminated in a late-night raid that removed the country’s Marxist dictator, Nicolas Maduro, from power.
In his address at the World Economic Forum, Trump noted that the U.S. has previously targeted Iranian uranium enrichment facilities to prevent nuclear weapon development, and that strikes will be repeated if Iran continues its enrichment efforts.
Iranian military leaders have issued warnings to the U.S. and Israel, with General Mohammad Pakpour of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claiming the country is ready for conflict. President Trump recently warned that instructions have been left for Iran to be “wiped off the face of the earth” if he is assassinated.
Iranian authorities confirm there have been over 3,000 deaths from the protests, but civil rights groups argue the actual toll is much higher.

💬KEY QUOTE: “This Court ruled that the Plaintiffs American Association of University Professors (‘AAUP’) and their associate chapters, and the Middle East Studies Association (‘MESA’) have shown by clear and convincing evidence that Secretaries [Kristi] Noem and [Marco] Rubio have intentionally and in concert implemented Executive Orders in 14161 and 14188 a viewpoint-discriminatory way to chill protected speech that ‘violated the First Amendment.'” — Judge Young
🎯IMPACT: While Judge Young’s ruling is unlikely to stand on appeal, it marks one of the most radical ever rulings against federal immigration law and the executive branch’s ability to enforce it.
IN FULL
A federal judge issued one of the most reckless judgments of recent years late Thursday, essentially granting leftist nonprofits final approval authority over Trump administration deportation orders affecting their members. U.S. District Court Judge William G. Young, 85, ruled that the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) and the Middle East Studies Association (MESA) have continually had their members’ First Amendment rights violated by federal officials by being targeted for deportation over their support of Hamas or similar terrorist groups. Further, as remediation, Judge Young barred the federal government from deporting AAUP and MESA members without the groups’ permission and final approval by a federal judge.
“This Court ruled that the Plaintiffs American Association of University Professors (‘AAUP’) and their associate chapters, and the Middle East Studies Association (‘MESA’) have shown by clear and convincing evidence that Secretaries [Kristi] Noem and [Marco] Rubio have intentionally and in concert implemented Executive Orders in 14161 and 14188 a viewpoint-discriminatory way to chill protected speech that ‘violated the First Amendment,'” the judge wrote.
Young goes on to say, “Any non-citizen member of the plaintiffs AAUP or MESA, who was a member on or after March 25, 2025, and continued as a member through September 30, 2025, shall have a right to institute a proceeding (‘Sanction Action’) in the United States District Court…”
While Judge Young’s ruling is unlikely to stand on appeal, it marks one of the most radical rulings ever against federal immigration law and the executive branch’s ability to enforce it. Not only does Young ignore the jurisdiction of the U.S. Immigration Court system—an error highlighted in a separate case that The National Pulse reported on last week—he makes the drastic move of essentially granting two private nonprofit groups, the AAUP and MESA, veto power over deportation proceedings unless a federal district court judge approves the deportation.

🎯IMPACT: Access to Greenlandic mineral deposits could reduce U.S. reliance on China for rare earth minerals, if logistical challenges can be overcome.
IN FULL
President Donald J. Trump has reported progress toward a “framework” agreement on Greenland, centered on enhanced defense cooperation and opportunities to access the island’s rare-earth minerals. Greenland possesses substantial deposits of these vital resources, with Trump saying a deal with the U.S. “puts everybody in a really good position, especially as it pertains to security and to minerals” in the Arctic territory.
According to European assessments, Greenland contains 25 out of the 34 minerals designated as critical raw materials, such as graphite, niobium, and titanium. However, Trump has stressed that his primary motivation for acquiring Greenland is national security rather than resource acquisition, declaring, “I want Greenland for security—I don’t want it for anything else.”
Notably, Greenland lies between North America and much of Russia across the Arctic Ocean, and especially Russia’s nuclear missile silos in the Kola Peninsula. President Trump believes the U.S. needs freedom of action in Greenland to establish his Golden Dome missile defense shield.
The Trump administration has actively worked to decrease dependence on Chinese supplies of rare-earth minerals. Previous steps have included reestablishing a U.S. consulate in Nuuk in 2020 and providing support for mining initiatives in Greenland.

🎯IMPACT: The incident has raised further questions about the media’s credibility when covering immigration enforcement actions.
IN FULL
Vice President J.D. Vance defended U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on Thursday after a five-year-old boy, Liam Conejo Ramos, was taken into federal custody with his illegal alien father, saying that, contrary to reports, the child “was not arrested” and that agents were enforcing laws while ensuring safety. Vance, who said he was alarmed by the story at first as a parent of young children, explained: “I do a little bit more follow-up research, and what I find is that the five-year-old was not arrested, that his dad was an illegal alien, and when they went to arrest his illegal alien father, the father ran… Are they supposed to let a five-year-old child freeze to death?”
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), in a post on X, defended the agents involved, saying Conejo Arias abandoned his child when approached and that officers took care of the boy for his own safety.
“Our officer[s] made multiple attempts to get the mother inside the house to take custody of her child. Officers even assured her that they would NOT take her into custody. She refused to accept custody of the child. The father told officers he wanted the child to remain with him,” DHS said, adding, “Parents are asked if they want to be removed with their children, or ICE will place the children with a safe person the parent designates. This is consistent with past administrations’ immigration enforcement.”
Local educators and the family’s lawyer had claimed officers removed the child from a running car after school and later took him and his father to a Texas detention facility.
The standoff over ICE comes amid widespread far-left agitation against federal immigration operations. Several hotels in the Minneapolis–St. Paul area reportedly canceled bookings for ICE personnel, alleging “heightened public safety concerns” after protests and threats tied to enforcement actions.
On Capitol Hill, Democratic lawmakers have been attempting to block or restrict funding for the Department of Homeland Security and ICE, with senior Democrats such as Minnesota Governor Tim Walz inflamming the public by comparing immigration enforcement agents to Adolf Hitler’s Gestapo.

🎯IMPACT: The trial is a test for the Justice Department, which has struggled with similar prosecutions.
IN FULL
A federal jury in Chicago, Illinois, is weighing the case of Juan Espinoza Martinez, who is charged with offering a bounty for the killing of Gregory Bovino, a senior tactical commander with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Prosecutors allege that Espinoza Martinez sent a series of Snapchat messages in October that amounted to a solicitation for murder.
According to testimony, the messages included statements that “offered $2,000 for information on [Bovino’s] whereabouts and $10,000 if you take him down,” along with an image of the Border Patrol commander. The government argues the messages were intentional and aimed at inciting violence against a federal official.
Defense attorneys counter that the messages were not original threats but forwarded social media posts reflecting anger over immigration raids. Defense lawyer Jonathan Bedi told jurors that “repeating neighborhood gossip is not a crime,” arguing there was no proof his client intended real-world harm. Espinoza Martinez’s brother testified that the messages were expressions of outrage circulating online after enforcement operations in Chicago and were not meant as an actual call to violence.
Bovino has been a visible figure in immigration enforcement under the Trump administration. Federal officials have warned in recent years that criminal organizations and extremist activists have circulated bounties and threats against ICE and Border Patrol agents, including senior commanders. Bovino himself has been targeted during protests, and video has circulated showing an agitator attempting to confront and attack him during a tense standoff involving federal agents.
