Newsom Gifts Additional $35 Million to Illegal Immigrants.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) announced an additional $35 million in humanitarian funding to support illegal immigrants amid increased federal immigration deportation efforts under President Donald J. Trump.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Gov. Newsom, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials.

📍WHEN & WHERE: California, February 2026.

💬KEY QUOTE: “While the federal government targets hardworking families, California stands with them—uniting partners and funding local communities to help support their neighbors.” – Gavin Newsom

🎯IMPACT: The funding will provide legal aid and other resources to illegal immigrants, prioritizing non-citizens over American taxpayers.

IN FULL

Democrat California Governor Gavin Newsom‘s administration has announced the allocation of $35 million in humanitarian funding to assist illegal immigrants facing deportation amid heightened immigration enforcement under the Trump administration. This supplements the $125 million previously committed to immigration-related legal services.

In a statement, Newsom said, “While the federal government targets hardworking families, California stands with them—uniting partners and funding local communities to help support their neighbors.” The funds will support nonprofit groups in delivering legal aid, food assistance, and other essential support to migrants.

Assemblymember Carl DeMaio (R) noted that the spending favors illegal immigrants over U.S. citizens, remarking, “If you were audited by the IRS and found to owe money and back taxes, as a citizen, you couldn’t say, ‘Well, I want a free lawyer to fight the federal government.’”

On the federal side, the Trump administration’s immigration policies have resulted in more than 675,000 deportations since January 2025, along with an estimated 2.2 million self-deportations, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). DHS Secretary Kristi Noem has emphasized the positive impacts of the deportations, stating, “Countless lives have been saved, communities have been strengthened, and the American people have been put first again.”

Tensions persist over California’s sanctuary policies, with ICE issuing detainers for over 33,000 individuals in state custody. Outgoing DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin criticized the approach, stating, “Governor Newsom and his fellow California sanctuary politicians are releasing murderers, pedophiles, and drug traffickers back into our neighborhoods and putting American lives at risk.”

White Americans Projected to Become a Minority by 2050.

Census data highlights a significant demographic shift in the United States, with white Americans expected to become a minority by 2050.

PULSE POINTS
❓ WHAT HAPPENED: White Americans are projected to become a minority in the United States by 2050, according to census data.
📺 DETAIL: U.S. Census Bureau data has revealed that white Americans are projected to become a minority by 2050. Specifically, the white American share of the population is projected to drop to 47 percent by 2050, down from 80 percent in 1980. By 2060, white Americans are projected to be only 44 percent of the population. The demographic shift is being driven by mass migration and declining birth rates among white Americans. Currently, there are six states where white Americans are less than 50 percent of the population: California, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas. By 2050, 10 more states are expected to become minority white: Arizona, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, Oklahoma, and Washington. By 2060, white Americans are projected to become a minority in 24 out of 50 states, including Alaska, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, North Carolina, Rhode Island, and Virginia. West Virginia is projected to remain the least diverse state, with 86 percent of the population remaining white by 2050.
🎯 IMPACT: If these projections materialize, it will be the first time in U.S. history that the country has been minority white. Demographic change on this scale is very likely to impact political, economic, and social dynamics for decades to come. The census data reveals not only the scale but the speed of the transformation. In 2000, only three U.S. states had a minority white population: California, Hawaii, and New Mexico. Notably, Hawaii had never had a white majority. Reports from late last year also indicated that the U.S. is on track to become minority Christian by 2070. These looming changes reflect a common pattern across the Western world; earlier this month, a study by France‘s National Institute of Demographic Studies revealed that one-third of the country’s population are either immigrants or descendants of recent immigrants.

Alabama Appeals to Supreme Court After Redistricted Map Blocked by Lower Court.

Alabama has asked the Supreme Court for permission to use its redrawn congressional map after a lower court blocked it.

PULSE POINTS
❓ WHAT HAPPENED: Alabama has asked the United States Supreme Court to permit the use of its redistricted congressional map after a lower court blocked its implementation. The new map eliminates a Democrat-leaning majority-minority district, in lines with a Supreme Court ruling that racially gerrymandered districts are unconstitutional.
📺 DETAIL: On Wednesday, Alabama officials requested permission from the U.S. Supreme Court to use a new congressional map. The proposed map, which eliminates one of the state’s two Democrat-voting majority-minority districts, was blocked by a lower court on Tuesday. The lower court’s ruling argued that the new map was racially discriminatory. In response to the lower court’s ruling, the state of Alabama cited the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Louisiana v. Callais, which struck down aspects of the Voting Rights Act of 1965; specifically, sections mandating the creation of majority-minority districts. The Supreme Court ruled that such provisions amounted to unconstitutional racial gerrymandering. The state of Alabama further claims that the lower court’s decision contradicts the Constitution’s equal protection clause.
💬 KEY QUOTE: “[V]oters will be forced to vote under a court-drawn racially gerrymandered map that does not meet Alabama’s legitimate districting goals,” Alabama Republicans said of the lower court ruling.
🎯 IMPACT: The push to redraw Alabama’s congressional map is part of a nationwide trend of redistricting ahead of the midterm elections in November. Across various states, legislators have redrawn and implemented congressional maps to favor the incumbent party. Democrat-controlled states have passed pro-Democrat maps, while Republican-controlled states have passed measures to boost Republican representation, often by eliminating racially gerrymandered districts. Earlier in May, South Carolina’s General Assembly held a special legislative session to redraw the state’s congressional map, but RINOs in the state senate blocked the map in a surprise vote, showing that redistricting is not always a straightforward process.

DHS Draws Up Plans to Halt International Flights Into Sanctuary Cities.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is drawing up plans to suspend international flights into jurisdictions that refuse to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement.

PULSE POINTS
❓ WHAT HAPPENED: Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin is considering suspending immigration and customs processing at airports in sanctuary cities refusing cooperation with federal immigration enforcement. The proposal would affect major international airports in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and San Francisco.
📺 DETAIL: Mullin said officials are drafting proposals to halt the processing of international flights in jurisdictions that refuse to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement. The proposal could affect major international airports and potentially disrupt both passenger arrivals and cargo operations. The move comes ahead of an expected surge in international travel for upcoming FIFA World Cup matches in the United States. Sanctuary cities limit cooperation with federal agencies such as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), undermining immigration laws. Mullin has previously suggested removing Customs and Border Protection (CBP) operations from major airports, though Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy publicly opposed the idea. No final decision on the proposal has been announced.
💬 KEY QUOTE: “They don’t want us to enforce immigration, but they want us to process immigration at their facilities? Nothing about that makes sense to me,” said DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin.
🎯 IMPACT: If implemented, the policy could disrupt international travel and trade, particularly during a busy travel season, and escalate tensions between federal authorities and sanctuary city leaders, who may feel pressured into cooperating with immigration enforcement.

Green Candidate in Crucial Special Election Wants to ‘Decolonize’ British Farming.

The Green Party’s candidate in a crunch parliamentary by-election (special election) in Makerfield, England, advocated for British farming to be “decolonized” in order to tackle so-called “white supremacy culture.”

PULSE POINTS
❓ WHAT HAPPENED: The Green Party candidate in a key parliamentary by-election (special election) in the constituency (electoral district) of Makerfield, Greater Manchester, previously called for British farming to be “decolonized.”
📺 DETAIL: On Tuesday, Sarah Wakefield was selected as the far-left Green Party’s candidate for the Makerfield by-election. After selection, it was revealed that Wakefield’s charity shared a report that called for British farming to be “decolonized.” The report included a section advocating “decoloniality”, a movement that “de-centres Western knowledge and celebrates the knowledge of indigenous, racialised and marginalised communities,” despite white British people being the indigenous people of the United Kingdom. Specifically, the report suggested that “perfectionism,” “objectivity,” “defensiveness,” “individualism,” and “a sense of urgency,” along with a belief in “quantity over quality,” the idea that “progress is bigger,” a person’s “right to comfort,” “either/or thinking,” “paternalism,” “power hoarding,” and “worship of the written word” are key characteristics of white supremacy culture.” The report was provided as an educational resource for charities to challenge “colonial power and legacies.” Wakefield’s charity also co-hosted a summit on “racial justice in food and farming.”
🎯 IMPACT: The Makerfield by-election is scheduled to take place on June 18. During the local elections earlier this month, 24 out of the 25 seats on Wigan County Council were won by Nigel Farage’s Reform UK party. Polling suggests the race to fill the Makerfield seat is between Reform UK and the governing Labour Party, represented by Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham. Crucially, Burnham is expected to successfully challenge Sir Keir Starmer for the Labour leadership and, by extension, the office of Prime Minister if he wins the seat. Polling suggests that Rupert Lowe’s Restore Britain party, puppeteered by Elon Musk, is splitting the Reform UK vote, giving Labour’s Burnham a very narrow lead. The Green Party has been eating into Labour’s vote in recent months, but is considered very unlikely to win in Makerfield, and is reported to have decided to campaign only minimally in order to give Labour a better chance of winning.

Migrants Are Costing This Country at Least $46 Billion a Year.

Germany’s soaring migration costs, exceeding €40 billion ($46.5bn) annually, are placing immense pressure on public budgets, infrastructure, and healthcare.

PULSE POINTS
❓ WHAT HAPPENED: Germany is facing migration-related costs exceeding €40 billion (~$46.5bn) annually, with critics warning the true figure could be nearer €50 billion (~$58.1bn) once state and municipal expenses are included. According to reports citing government and regional data, the federal government’s official €24.8 billion (~$28.8bn) figure excludes major costs borne by local authorities, including housing, healthcare, welfare, and infrastructure.
📺 DETAIL: German states and cities say federal funding falls far short of actual expenses, with Bavaria and Hamburg among those demanding greater support. In North Rhine-Westphalia alone, spending on unaccompanied minors reached €667 million (~$775.7m) in 2025, up €320 million (~$372.1m) from the previous year, while Hesse reported costs nearing €235 million (~$273.3m). Housing shortages, rising rents, overcrowded hospitals, and increasing pressure on transport systems have intensified concerns over the long-term sustainability of current immigration policies. Health insurers have also warned of growing deficits, noting that government contributions for migrants often fall well below actual medical costs, leaving taxpayers and workers to cover the gap through higher premiums. Claims that mass migration would stabilize Germany’s pension system are now being challenged, as discussions grow around raising the retirement age to as high as 73. The mounting financial and social pressures have pushed migration policy to the center of Germany’s political debate, with increasing calls for stricter policies focused on economic sustainability and national interests.
🎯 IMPACT: The financial strain is reshaping Germany’s political landscape, with rising costs fueling debates about raising the retirement age to pay for the migrants.

Nigel Farage Reports Far-Left ‘Charity’ to Regulator for Political Activism Ahead of Crunch Election.

Reform UK party leader Nigel Farage has reported the far-left Hope Not Hate organization to the British government’s charity regulator for unlawful political activity.

PULSE POINTS
❓ WHAT HAPPENED: Nigel Farage, leader of Reform UK, has reported a prominent far-left activist organization to the United Kingdom’s charity regulator for engaging in unlawful political activity and bias.
📺 DETAIL: In a letter published on Wednesday, Nigel Farage officially reported Hope Not Hate (HNH), a far-left “anti-fascist” organization, to the Charity Commission, the government body that oversees and regulates charitable activities in the United Kingdom. Specifically, Farage alleged that HNH had mailed leaflets to residents in Makerfield, Greater Manchester, ahead of a parliamentary by-election (special election) next month. Recent polling suggests the race is practically neck-and-neck between Reform UK and the governing Labour Party, with Rupert Lowe’s fringe Restore Britain party, which is backed by Elon Musk, eroding Reform’s vote share. The HNH leaflets allegedly encourage residents to vote against Reform and support Andy Burnham, the Labour candidate. Under British law, registered charities are prohibited from engaging in political activity, such as campaigning for or against a political party or candidate. “In the Charity Commission’s guidance document ‘Campaigning and Political Activity Guidance for Charities’ (CC9), it states that… in the political arena, a charity must stress its independence and ensure that any involvement it has with political parties is balanced. A charity must not give support or funding to a political party, nor to a candidate or politician,” notes Farage’s letter, published on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday.
💬 KEY QUOTE: There are numerous reports of Hope Not Hate sending leaflets to addresses within the Makerfield constituency ahead of the Parliamentary by-election on 18 June. The leaflet allegedly endorses Andy Burnham, Labour’s candidate, and attempts to influence voters’ decisions. The tone and content of the leaflet is clearly directed towards persuading the reader to vote for a particular candidate.” – Farage’s letter to the Charity Commission.
🎯 IMPACT: Much like the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) in the United States, HNH has regularly been accused of exploiting and breaking charity law to engage in political activism, advance an ideological agenda, and run smear campaigns characterizing conservatives and populists as fascists and hateful extremists. HNH was reported to the Charity Commission last year following similar complaints regarding the use of charitable funds for political activity. The commission reprimanded the organization, leading to some internal reforms to create distance between HNH’s fundraising and campaigning arms.

Labour Lawmakers Target Farage’s Reform Party for ‘Islamophobia’ Probe.

Members of Parliament (MPs) for Britain’s governing Labour Party have called on the Equality and Human Rights Commission to investigate Nigel Farage’s Reform UK party for “Islamophobia.”

PULSE POINTS
❓ WHAT HAPPENED: A group of 26 Members of Parliament (MPs) for Britain’s governing Labour Party and one independent MP have reported Nigel Farage’s Reform UK party to the government’s Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) watchdog, alleging racism and “Islamophobia.”
🎯 IMPACT: The MPs, led by Pakistan-born Afzal Khan, claimed that “Over the last few years, we have seen a number of Reform UK politicians and members make comments that are clearly racist and discriminate against ethnic minorities, and in particular, Muslims,” adding that the “prevalence of racism within Reform UK does not exist in a vacuum and has real-world consequences for the millions of British Muslims in our country.” A spokesman for Reform insisted, “We stand by our comments. We will not be intimidated.
💬 KEY QUOTE: “We know Labour now kowtow to Islamists for votes, we never will. The British public are tired of pathetic accusations and made up words such as Islamophobia.” – Reform UK source
📰 DETAIL: The MPs’ letter alleges Reform UK has made numerous “Islamophobic” comments, citing Nigel Farage objecting to mass Muslim prayers in London’s Trafalgar Square, among other supposed transgressions. Farage said in March that “we don’t want to stop individuals praying, but mass Muslim prayer is banned in many Muslim countries in the Middle East,” describing events such as the Trafalgar Square demonstration as an “attempt to overtake, intimidate and dominate our way of life.”

POTUS Lands 118/118 Primary Victories as Musk’s UK Party Claims Trumpism is ‘Defeated.’

President Trump continued his winning streak in the 2026 primaries with Ken Paxton’s victory over John Cornyn on Tuesday, countering claims from Elon Musk’s UK party that Trump-style populism is over.

PULSE POINTS
❓ WHAT HAPPENED: President Donald J. Trump achieved his 118th consecutive primary victory with his endorsed candidates on Tuesday, with four wins in Texas, including a major victory in which state Attorney General Ken Paxton defeated incumbent Senator John Cornyn in the U.S. Senate primary runoff. This counters claims from Restore Britain, an Elon Musk-backed fringe party seeking to undermine Nigel Farage’s Reform UK party in the United Kingdom, that Trump-style populism is a spent force.
💬 KEY QUOTE:Restore Britain is the enemy of populism. Yes. 2010s populism, as embodied in the figure of Trump and his friends like Farage, has been utterly defeated as a radical force,” claimed Charlie Downes, chief spokesman for Elon Musk’s Restore Britain party, on May 25.
🎯 IMPACT: Trump’s continued success in the primaries, unseating longtime establishment incumbent John Cornyn in favor of America First stalwart Ken Paxton, underscores the enduring, transformative power of the MAGA movement, challenging narratives that its brand of populism, which includes Reform UK, is waning.
💬 SECONDARY QUOTE: “There’s a huge question mark over whether or not Elon Musk and all of these guys are actually working hand in hand with the British political establishment to stop a real change coming in the United Kingdom… [Elon Musk] wants more electric vehicle mandates, more H1B-style migration.” – Raheem Kassam, Editor-in-Chief of The National Pulse, on May 26

Police Investigating ‘Prince’ Andrew’s Alleged Sex Offenses Request Giuffre Files.

British authorities are deepening their investigation into Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly Prince Andrew, examining allegations of sexual misconduct, corruption, and misuse of his former public office, requesting evidence regarding Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre from the U.S. Department of Justice.

PULSE POINTS
❓ WHAT HAPPENED: Thames Valley Police have broadened their investigation into Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly Prince Andrew, focusing on allegations of sexual misconduct, corruption, and misuse of his public office during his tenure as Britain’s Special Representative for Trade and Investment. The probe includes reviewing files from London‘s Metropolitan Police and examining connections to deceased child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein‘s criminal activities.
📺 DETAIL: Thames Valley Police is understood to have contacted the Met and requested interviews with Mountbatten-Windsor’s former protection officers following his arrest in February at the Sandringham Estate, though no charges have yet been filed. Virginia Giuffre, who died in April 2025, received a reported $16 million settlement from the former prince in 2022 after alleging he sexually assaulted her when she was 17, claims he has consistently denied. Investigators are examining allegations that Mountbatten-Windsor attempted to obtain damaging information on Giuffre after her claims became public, though the Met says no evidence of wrongdoing was found, and no criminal investigation was launched after Giuffre spoke to officers in 2015 about alleged trafficking by Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Police are also reviewing claims that Mountbatten-Windsor leaked confidential trade information to Epstein during his time as a British trade envoy and are seeking evidence from the U.S. Department of Justice. Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright said specialist investigators are pursuing multiple lines of inquiry and urged alleged victims or witnesses connected to Epstein and Mountbatten-Windsor to come forward.
🎯 IMPACT: The case could lead to criminal charges against the former prince if sufficient evidence is gathered, with potential implications for the Royal Family. The allegations of misconduct in public office underscore the seriousness of the investigation. Royal aides have pledged cooperation, while Buckingham Palace has refrained from commenting to avoid prejudicing the inquiry.
💬 KEY QUOTE: “I really want to stress that our door is open. Whenever a victim survivor is ready to engage with us, we’re ready for you at whatever point that may be.” – Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright.
📺 FLASHBACK: Andrew stepped down from royal duties in 2019 following public backlash over his ties to Epstein and a controversial BBC interview. He was later stripped of his royal titles and honors by King Charles III.

Reformed Immigration Courts Accelerate Deportations with Mass Hearings.

An expedited immigration court process implemented by the Trump administration aims to reduce the backlog of cases, accelerate mass deportations, and fulfill campaign promises.

PULSE POINTS
❓ WHAT HAPPENED: The Trump administration is using mass hearings to support mass deportation efforts with upwards of 100 immigrants scheduled in single sessions.
📺 DETAIL: Immigration courts under President Trump have adopted “mega master” hearings to expedite deportation cases. Suspected illegal migrants will now face immediate removal if they don’t respond in court or miss a hearing. The Department of Justice (DOJ) has also instructed immigration judges, including roughly 600 temporary military lawyers, to deny bond, dismiss cases, and enact removals as swiftly as possible. According to the Department of War, the use of military lawyers aims to “augment existing resources to help further combat a backlog of cases by presiding over immigration hearings.” Since last year, more than 100 immigration judges have been fired, while others have retired or resigned, with more than 150 new judges hired. The “mega master” sessions are conducted by the Executive Office for Immigration Review at the direction of the Attorney General.
💬 KEY QUOTE: “The Trump administration is committed to reestablishing an immigration judge corps that is dedicated to restoring the rule to the law in our nation’s immigration system.” – Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche in a statement last week.
🎯 IMPACT: The policy has been implemented in response to reports that over three million active cases are awaiting verdicts. According to Congress, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) plans to deport approximately one million people between 2026 and 2027. The agency will also hold at least 99,000 people in detention centers. This decision follows growing pressure from within the Trump coalition to expedite mass deportations. Back in April, the Mass Deportation Coalition pushed President Trump to go further on mass deportations.
