Poland’s new globalist government has wasted little time in demonstrating the strong border policies of the previous, national conservative government are on the way out, with a gaggle of migrants being invited to meet the new speaker.
The visit to the Sejm – the most powerful body in the Polish state – was organized by Fundacja Ocalenie. The foundation receives funding from the American taxpayer, the foundation having receives a $20,000 grant from the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw to “support the needs of marginalized communities,” namely migrants.
The foundation also lists the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees as a backer – with the U.S. being the UN’s top financial contributor – alongside the European Union and George Soros’s Open Society Foundations.
Fundacja Ocalenie took to social media to boast of the change in attitude towards illegal immigration, quoting one of Speaker Hołownia’s guests, formerly pushed back at the Belarusian border three times, as saying: “I would never have thought, while I was in the forest on the Belarusian-Polish border, that one day I would be invited to the Polish Sejm. That I would be among the specially invited people. Such a thought would not have even crossed my mind then.”
Speaker Szymon Hołownia, properly the Marshal of the Sejm, posed for an Angela Merkel-like picture surrounded by the migrants.
Hołownia is a member of the Third Way party, one of an unwieldy coalition of parties that backed Donald Tusk to become Prime Minister of Poland, ousting the previous Law and Justice party (PiS) despite the fact it placed first in October’s elections.
