Burisma, the Ukrainian gas firm which paid Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden millions of dollars, has registered as a foreign agent for its work in 2016, according to papers filed on Thursday night as reported by War Room executive editor and former National Pulse senior researcher Natalie Winters.
“In January 2016, Mr. Buretta [Burisma’s lawyer] was retained to represent Mykola Zlochevsky in connection with possible investigations by governmental authorities in the United States,” the newly filed paperwork states.
“The representation thereafter broadened to include Burisma Holdings Limited, as well as governmental investigations in Ukraine, and continued until April 2017. The representation of Burisma was governed by the same engagement letter with Mykola Zlochevsky and included both registrable and non-registrable activities.”
The filing is significant because it raises questions over the representation of Burisma by Hunter Biden himself, who was engaged in similar work as Buretta. Burisma was actively lobbying his own father’s administration while Hunter worked there, without being Foreign Agent (FARA) registered.
