President Donald J. Trump’s MAGA Inc. Super PAC has raised a massive $46 million in the past six months, with significant contributors such as Southern California real estate developer Geoffrey Palmer, Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus, and oil and gas executive George Bishop. Each has donated around $1 million to the cause, as mentioned in figures provided by POLITICO. The organization raised a significantly higher amount in the second half of 2023 ($46 million) compared to the first half of the year ($13 million).
MAGA Inc.’s fundraising success shows a growing conviction among Republican Party donors that former President Trump will likely be the GOP’s nominee in the upcoming election. This belief has enabled Trump to retain ties with supporters who funded his past campaigns.
Established before the 2022 midterm elections, MAGA Inc. primarily supports Trump’s aspirations. Following its foundation, $60 million was transferred from Save America, Trump’s leadership PAC, launching its initial funding. This organization, led by former Trump adviser Taylor Budowich as CEO, has heavily invested in campaigns against Republican rivals, specifically Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley. However, last week saw DeSantis exit the Republican primary. MAGA Inc. also returned $12.5 million to Save America to assist with Trump’s legal fees.
