A CBS/YouGov poll has found that a majority of Republicans agree with Donald Trump’s comments that illegal immigrants are “poisoning the blood” of the country. Strikingly, so do nearly half of voters regardless of Party affiliation.
Seventy-two percent of registered Republican voters agreed “with the statement that immigrants entering the U.S. illegally are ‘poisoning the blood’ of the country.” The number of registered Republican voters who agreed with that statement increased by 10 points — to 82 percent — when the quote was attributed directly to Trump, according to CBS.
The survey, which was conducted with a “nationally representative” sample of 2,870 U.S. adult residents interviewed between January 10-12, also found that nearly half of American adults, regardless of Party, agree with Trump’s analysis of the border crisis. Forty-five percent of those surveyed agreed with the “poisoning the blood” statement generally, and 47 percent agreed with the statement when attributed to the former president. This is especially noteworthy as the survey included far more likely Democrat and Independent voters combined than likely Republican voters, with fewer than 800 of the 2,870 individuals surveyed identifying as likely Republican voters.

Video evidence has emerged implicating Capitol Police Special Agent David Lazarus of having committed perjury in the prosecution of four members of the Oath Keepers organization for actions during the January 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol riot. The video, released by The Blaze, shows time-stamped security camera footage that directly contradicts sworn testimony by Lazarus as to where he was during a critical 20-minute period during the riot.
The security camera footage appears to indicate that Lazarus would have been unable to witness the events he claims he saw involving interactions between the four members of the Oath Keepers and Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn. Lazarus and Dunn were both critical witnesses for federal prosecutors in the Oath Keeper case – and hailed as heroes by President Joe Biden and former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.
Officer Dunn Changes His Story.
In an initial FBI interview, Officer Dunn indicated four members of the Oath Keepers had stood between himself and agitated rioters, to de-escalate the situation. Video footage from the incident shows Officer Dunn himself making threats and behaving erratically before the Oath Keepers stepped in and formed a barrier between the officer and rioters. However, Dunn’s story changed in a subsequent interview with him claiming the Oath Keepers had not helped him but were themselves instigating further aggression.
Security Footage Disproves Lazarus’s Claims
During the Oath Keeper trial, Officer Dunn’s new recollection of events was corroborated by Capitol Police Special Agent David Lazarus who claimed he witnessed an altercation between Dunn and the Oath Keepers on several occasions. However, the complete timeline of video evidence, released by Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, clearly indicates Lazarus was not in the vicinity of Dunn when the alleged altercation occurred but was a quarter-mile away in the Senate office buildings.
Lazarus did not arrive in the stairwell where Dunn was located until after the Oath Keepers had already left the area and can be seen exiting the Capitol Rotunda through the east doors.
DOJ Cover-Up.
The Blaze’s Steve Baker claims it is unlikely Lazarus and Dunn concocted the story themselves and were instead put up to it by superiors in the federal government. The two differing accounts given by Officer Dunn to the FBI do lend credibility to this claim, suggesting someone within the DOJ may have pressured the officer to point the finger at the Oath Keeper members.
Evidence Hidden.
During the Oath Keeper trial, the video evidence found in the Capitol security camera footage was not made available to the defendants or their attorneys. However, now that it has been made public and calls into question the testimony of two of the government’s key witnesses there will likely be calls for a retrial. Whether a new trial will be granted remains to be seen.

The Islamist group Hizb ut-Tahrir, which organized pro-Palestinian rallies in London that saw demonstrators calling for “jihad,” will be classified as a terrorist organization by the British government, according to an announcement on Monday.
Hizb ut-Tahrir, a revolutionary Islamist group working to establish an expansionist Islamic super-state, has actively recruited in the United Kingdom for decades, leading to then-Prime Minister David Cameron’s 2010 pledge to proscribe the group. Plans stayed shelved for almost 14 years until the group became involved in the organization of anti-Israel rallies at the end of 2023.
The new proposal, introduced by Home Secretary James Cleverly, will be debated in Parliament this week and will come into force on Friday if approved. As a result, expressing support for, or becoming a member of, the organization would become a criminal offense in the UK, subject to a maximum of 14 years imprisonment.
The move to proscribe the group comes after pressure intensified on the government following a pro-Palestinian October rally in London organized by the Islamist group. London’s Metropolitan Police investigated the rally but claimed to find no evidence of terrorism, and even defended the group’s chants of “jihad.”
Leaders of Hizb ut-Tahrir have previously made statements endorsing Hamas, whom they referred to as “heroes,” and promoted an end to the Western world order. The group is already banned in parts of Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

A majority of Iowa Republican voters who back Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis do not support former President Donald Trump’s quest to “Make America Great Again,” according to new research.
The final Des Moines Register/NBC News/Mediacom poll before the Iowa Republican Caucus shows 40 percent of Republican voters identifying as MAGA, while 38 percent say they’re neutral on the question, with 17 percent bizarrely calling themselves anti-MAGA. Amongst the pro-MAGA contingent, 18 percent consider themselves “ultra MAGA,” while 22 percent say they’re just “regular MAGA.”
The divide amongst Iowa Republicans over the MAGA identity explains the dynamics of the caucus overall. Former President Donald Trump, with a built-in base of 40 percent, has consistently polled in the high 40s to mid-50s — pulling additional support from those who describe themselves as “neutral” on MAGA.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has found his Iowa prospects fading, descending from second place to third place in the final Des Moines Register poll. The DeSantis campaign is being squeezed between Trump and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley — unable to move pro-MAGA Republicans into their column and losing anti-MAGA Republicans to Haley.
Meanwhile, Nikki Haley, who surged to a distant second place in the final poll, appears to have consolidated the anti-MAGA and anti-Trump lane with the departure of Chris Christie from the primary race. Nearly half of Haley voters consider themselves “anti-MAGA.”

A new report on Britain’s predominantly Muslim rape gangs has found that police and local officials repeatedly failed to safeguard children or even investigate their rapes at the hands of mostly Pakistani men. Investigators identified 96 men still at large despite being a potential threat to children, and vindicated whistleblowers in Greater Manchester Police (GMP) and social services who were targeted for exposing official failures.
Thousands of young, mostly white, British children were systematically groomed and often repeatedly raped by mostly Pakistani Muslim men in British towns from the early 2000s.
The report flagged many examples of the authorities failing victims, including Victoria Agoglia, a 15-year-old girl killed by a groomer who injected her with heroin. Agoglia reported her abuse to the police, and it was known she was being plied with alcohol and drugs and raped, but officials failed to intervene or implement changes following her death in 2003.
Another victim, named as Amber, had her substantial evidence against her abusers essentially thrown away with no action taken. She was even named as a “co-conspirator” in a separate case.
Other horror stories include that of Child 44, whose aborted child was taken by police without her consent or knowledge and lost in a freezer. Child 41’s abuse was not actioned because a detective believed she “appeared a willing participant” in her own rapes.
Despite the victims of Rochdale grooming gangs being overwhelmingly white, the word “white” appears in the report only twice. The report does not refer to Islam or Muslims, preferring to describe the predators as “Asian” — meaning South Asian — or Pakistani.
It also contained only one reference to the fact that officers’ failure to investigate grooming often stemmed from fear of being branded racist, beyond one quote from an officer who said he believed colleagues failed to stop cabs with “Pakistani-looking” drivers carrying children because “GMP patrols were frightened of being tarnished with a race brush for doing it.”

Palestinian author Mohammed El-Kurd declared “our time will come, but we must normalize massacres as the status quo” at a rally in London held to support Palestinians against Israel in the ongoing Israel-Hamas war. The conflict began when Hamas terrorists launched a raid against Israel from Gaza on October 7th, massacring approximately 1,200 men, women, and children.
El-Kurd, who addressed the Palestine Solidarity Campaign-organized rally with high-profile politicians including Labour’s Apsana Begum MP, earned loud cheers from the assembled crowds after he issued his call to “normalize massacres.” He also said “we must root [Zionism] out of the world,” branding the belief that Jews should have a state in their historic homeland “a racist ideology.”

The Met has consistently defended anti-Israel activists calling for jihad and trampling on British war memorials, and El-Kurd initially seemed unconcerned by their statement. Responding on social media, he openly goaded the force, writing “busy today, can we do tomorrow?” and adding a kiss at the end of his snarky missive.
Hours later, the Palestinian appeared to be taking the matter more seriously, posting a statement claiming it was “clear” that “the closing of my speech was to state ‘we should NOT normalize massacres'” – despite this being the opposite of what he actually said.

Top Donald Trump advisor Jason Miller dismissed the prospects of Vivek Ramaswamy becoming Trump’s vice-presidential pick in an interview with the New York Post on Sunday.
Telling the Post that voters can “probably” rule out Ramaswamy as the ex-president’s VP pick, Miller said that it’s “[p]retty safe to say it won’t be Vivek.”
Miller’s comments came a day after Trump published a post slamming Ramaswamy on Truth Social.”Vivek started his campaign as a great supporter, ‘the best President in generations,’ etc. Unfortunately, now all he does is disguise his support in the form of deceitful campaign tricks,” Trump wrote on Saturday. “Very sly, but a vote for Vivek is a vote for the ‘other side’ — don’t get duped by this,” he added.
The intervention came after Vivek was heard trying to pull away Trump caucus voters by telling them he would be prohibited from becoming President again, and that the only way to “save Trump” was to vote for Vivek, a talking point confirmed to The National Pulse on Saturday evening.
Trump, who is currently dominating Republican primary polls, suggested during a recent Fox News town hall meeting that he had already selected his vice-presidential pick, though he remained silent on the person’s identity. Ramaswamy, who is polling with under 10 percent of Republican support, has already expressed his lack of interest in the vice-presidential role, claiming that he is not a “Plan B person.”

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who is prosecuting Donald Trump and others for alleged election interference, has claimed that allegations of her having an improper romantic relationship with special prosecutor Nathan Wade are racist, and that efforts are being focused on Wade due to his skin color.
“First thing they say, ‘Oh, she’s gonna play the race card now,'” said Willis during an appearance at Big Bethel AME Church in Atlanta on Sunday.
Court documents filed earlier this month allege that Willis hired Wade, her alleged romantic partner, to work on the Trump case, resulting in personal financial gain for the DA in the form of extravagant vacations the pair went on that were funded by the proceeds Wade’s firm received for working the case.
Accusations against Willis include ‘improper’ and ‘clandestine’ involvement with Wade at the same time as appointments were being made for the 2020 election interference case. The complainant, Mike Roman, a former 2020 Trump campaign official, claims that the integrity of the case was compromised due to the alleged affair. Roman has requested the charges against him be dropped on these grounds, arguing that Willis chose to appoint her romantic partner, who was a married man.
Fulton County records show that since January 2022 Wade has been paid approximately $654,000 in legal fees, a sum directly approved by Willis. A call embodied in the court documents requests that the entirety of the district attorney’s office, including Willis and Wade, be disqualified from conducting the prosecution of the case.

Germany is readying itself for a potential attack on NATO by Russian forces in 2025, according to leaked plans published by German newspaper Bild.
The secret documents from the German Ministry of Defense detail a step-by-step projection that sees Russia escalating the Ukraine conflict into an all-out European war over the next year and a half. The documents predict that Russia will take Ukraine and then launch cyber attacks and foment violence in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
This violence, the documents claim, would then be used by Putin as a pretense to amass troops in Belarus and Western Russia, before moving more troops and missiles to Kaliningrad, a Russian enclave that lies between Poland and Lithuania. Russian military buildup in the region would then force NATO to engage in a similar troop buildup, which would be portrayed in Russia as proof of an impending attack and used by Putin as casus belli.
“[C]onsidering different scenarios, even if they are extremely unlikely, is part of everyday military business, especially in training,” a German defense official, who refused to comment on the specific doomsday scenario, told Bild.
The secret plans were leaked just days after British PM Rishi Sunak announced a new security agreement with Ukraine and pledged more than $3 billion in additional aid to the country, and also follow a warning by the Swedish civil defense minister that his country could soon find itself in a war.

Joe Biden’s Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, remained hospitalized at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center until Monday, January 15th, with White House National Security spokesman John Kirby telling reporters: “obviously [his doctors] still feel like he may need some additional care.”
Reports suggest Austin, 70, was released on Monday morning, with Kirby claiming part of his ongoing care is “just physical therapy.” Kirby also said “there is routine regular communication” between the Defense Secretary and President Joe Biden.
The White House was left in the dark when Austin was initially readmitted to hospital on January 1st, following a scheduled, elective procedure on December 22nd related to prostate cancer. Not until the following day was a visit by a junior aide arranged, resulting in the transfer of some of his responsibilities to Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks.
Hicks was not informed of Austin’s condition, however, and was herself on vacation in Puerto Rico at the time. She was only advised of Austin’s hospitalization on January 4th, as the U.S. military was conducting a strike in Iraq. Hicks then passed the information to the White House. Congress was informed of the situation a day later, just minutes before the press.
Biden has agreed that Austin’s failure to inform the White House of his hospitalization was a lapse in judgment but says he still has confidence in the defense chief. Leading presidential candidate Donald Trump believes Austin should be fired, not only for going missing but for his involvement in debacles including the Fall of Kabul.
Austin’s hospitalization comes as the U.S. is embarking on a new military intervention in Yemen against Houthi militants.
