House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, a Louisiana Republican, has formally endorsed former president Donald Trump for the presidential race of 2024. Scalise joins Speaker Mike Johnson and GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik, making him the latest top-ranking Republican to offer his public support to Trump, who is widely anticipated to be the Republican nominee.
“I am proud to endorse Donald Trump for president in 2024, and I look forward to working with President Trump and a Republican House and Senate to fight for those families who are struggling under the weight of Biden’s failed policies,” Scalise wrote on X.

In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Scalise criticized the Biden government’s handling of the border crisis, the economy, and energy policy. Scalise highlighted the sharp rise in gas prices, difficulties in housing affordability, doubled mortgage rates, and record high inflation and interest rates, attributing all of these negative developments to the Biden regime’s mismanagement of the nation’s economy.
Scalise has also contrasted Biden’s strategies with Trump’s past leadership, asserting that American workers and families thrived during Trump’s previous term. His endorsement brings the tally of public support for Trump from sitting Republican House members to at least 95. This crucial endorsement comes during the lead-up to the Iowa caucuses on January 15 and the New Hampshire primary the following week.

Joe Biden continues to lose support from critical demographics for his Democrat coalition of voters, trailing former President Donald Trump 37-39 percent ahead of the 2024 Presidential Elections, as reported by a new USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll. The 81-year-old incumbent President has seen a rapid decrease in support from black voters, down to 63 percent from an initial 87 percent. Whilst still a considerably higher percentage than Trump’s 12 percent, the drop-off is significant. Also concerning is Biden’s decline among young voters and Hispanic voters, with Trump now leading in these demographics at 37-33 percent and 39-34 percent respectively.
Biden’s approval numbers remain underwater, with just 29 percent of respondents perceiving the economy as in recovery.
Former President Donald Trump leads the race amongst GOP voters, outscoring Nikki Haley and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis by over 50 points. Despite current legal battles, support for Trump remains undiminished as 44 percent of respondents express fervent support for the former President. Conversely, only 18 percent of voters expressed the same enthusiasm for Biden.

A Georgetown University professor and former CIA intelligence analyst, Dr. John Gentry, has warned that the politicization of the intelligence community and its focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives are significant concerns. In his recently published book “Neutering the CIA: Why US Intelligence Versus Trump Has Long-Term Consequences”, Gentry claims these factors could lead to interference in the 2024 elections.
“My guess is that the the proverbial deep state within the intelligence community will reemerge because presumably a Republican candidate will again be seen as a threat to the internal policies that many intelligence people like,” said Gentry, who discussed the response to the Hunter Biden laptop story, falsely “debunked” by 51 former intelligence officials in a letter approved by the CIA. The approval of this letter was a clear political move intended to aid the Biden campaign, according to Gentry.
“I long have thought we are likely to again see former intelligence officers be politically active against Trump or whomever the Republican presidential candidate is next year, and I expect leaking to resume,” Gentry said in an interview with Fox News. “The activities of ‘formers’ have resumed already, a bit before I expected.”
Gentry also expressed concern over DEI policies in key intelligence agencies, including the CIA, arguing they detract from operational efficiency and promote a politically charged agenda. He points to the introduction of these policies under President Obama as significantly transforming the federal workforce. While Gentry admits internal political discussions were not as prevalent during his time in the CIA, agency sources say activism became commonplace under Obama. This shift, facilitated by figures like former CIA Director John Brennan and ex-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, has reportedly negatively impacted employee morale. Gentry says his hope is that his book will enlighten readers about the “significant political problem within the agencies.”

New data suggests that Americans are increasingly questioning the legitimacy of Joe Biden’s presidential election victory in 2020. The backlash against Biden comes as Democrats step up efforts to remove former President Donald Trump from 2024 primary and general election ballots over accusations that he orchestrated an ‘insurrection’ on January 6th, 2021.
The new data is obviously bad news for Biden, as concerns over his legitimacy have increased across the board amongst Republicans, Democrats, and Independents when compared to the same Washington Post/University of Maryland poll from 2022. Belief in Biden’s legitimacy fell by nearly 10 points among adult Americans between 2022 and 2023, with just over 60 percent saying he is the legitimate president in 2023, compared to nearly 70 percent in 2022.
Among Republicans, belief in the legitimacy of the 2020 election – and Biden’s victory – fell from 40 percent to just over 30-percent. And among Democrats, 10 percent now say Biden is an illegitimate president – compared to just five percent in 2022.
Voters haveincreasinglyturned on the Biden government over its handling of the unchecked flow of illegal immigrants at the U.S. southern border, a sluggish economy, and concerns about him abusing office to financially enrich his family. Perhaps most concerning for Biden is the erosion of support among young Americans. The polling data reveals American youth are less likely to believe Biden is a legitimate president than older Americans.

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced that a historic number of over 112,000 asylum claims were cleared last year, exceeding his target of 92,000. The total includes finalizing over 77,000 cases with 51,469 claims granted asylum. This figure surpasses the previous record of 33,460 in 2002 and is the highest number since record-keeping began in 1984. Sunak claimed that clearing the asylum claim backlog will save taxpayers millions of pounds on hotels and reduce strain on public services.
The Prime Minister’s announcement received backlash from political opponents. “In an effort to rush through the asylum backlog, this morning Rishi Sunak boasts he has granted 50,000 new applications,” said former Brexit Party Leader Nigel Farage. “The Conservatives have failed us all.”
Shadow Immigration Minister Stephen Kinnock denounced the Prime Minister’s claims as false, asserting the backlog has soared to 165,000 under the current government, and accusing the Chancellor of breaking his promise to end asylum hotel use. “Rishi Sunak’s promise made a year ago to end asylum hotel use has been disastrously broken – with a 20 per cent increase to 56,000, costing the British taxpayer more than £2billion a year,” Kinnock noted. “This is yet more evidence of an asylum system broken by the Conservatives.”

Former President Donald Trump raised the possibility of holding a rally at Madison Square Garden as a part of his strategy to leverage support in predominantly Democratic states, including New York. He stated, “I’m going to make a heavy play for New York, heavy play for New Jersey, heavy play for Virginia, heavy play for New Mexico, and a heavy play for a state that hasn’t been won in years, Minnesota. I may rent Madison Square Garden and that’s the belly of the beast, right?”
Trump’s comments come shortly after a poll revealed the 45th President is within 10 points of Joe Biden in the Empire State, and just. few weeks since he brought the house down at a packed Christmas gala at Cipriani, Wall Street, hosted by the New York Young Republican Club.
Trump revealed his intention to hold rallies and give speeches in those states. He implied that a rally at Madison Square Garden, known as the “belly of the beast,” would be a significant political move and a substantial investment of campaign resources.
“That doesn’t mean I’m going to work them as hard as I work Pennsylvania, where I’m doing very well,” he told Breitbart News, adding, “[b]ut we’re going to do these other states too, and it will be a heavy move.”
On the subject of potential support within New York, Trump highlighted the presence of reputed Republicans, including Representative Lee Zeldin (R-NY). He stated, “So, I believe we have a chance to win New York. I believe we have a chance to win New Jersey.”

The deputy leader of the Muslim Brotherhood’s ‘Hamas’ terror group, Saleh Arouri, has reportedly been killed by an Israeli airstrike in Beirut, Lebanon. Videos from the scene show extensive damage to a city block on Tuesday, with vehicles reduced to flaming piles of twisted metal. An apartment building also appears to have been damaged in the strike. Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah cancelled a long-scheduled speech due Wednesday in the immediate aftermath.
Unconfirmed reports coming in that #Israel has killed a senior #Hamas leader in Beirut, Saleh al-Arouri.
With this strike, Israel is sending a clear message that terrorists are not safe anywhere and nor should they be! pic.twitter.com/xkTtl0aoyR
The Israeli Defense Forces have engaged in a campaign to eliminate the leadership of Hamas since the October 7th terror attack carried out by the Islamist terrorist group. The attack saw around 1,200 people killed by Muslim Brotherhood militants acting under the Hamas banner, with several hundred taken hostage and moved to Gaza.
In addition to Arouri, Hamas claims two other members of their senior leadership were killed in the strike – though their identities have yet to be confirmed.
“The cowardly assassinations carried out by the Zionist occupation against the leaders and symbols of our Palestinian people inside and outside Palestine will not succeed in breaking the will and steadfastness of our people, or undermining the continuation of their valiant resistance,” Hamas said in a statement posted on Telegram. “It proves once again the abject failure of this enemy to achieve any of its aggressive goals in the Gaza Strip.”
The targeted strike comes on the heels of news the Israeli Defense Forces intend to remove several thousand troops from Gaza, marking a shift in the war from a broad military campaign to a more targeted tactical mission to continue the elimination of Hamas leadership.
Arouri was killed near the headquarters of the Iranian proxy militant group Hezbollah. The proximity of the strike to the groups headquarters has left some observers concerned it may draw Lebanon and Iran further into the Israel-Hamas war.

War Room host Steve Bannon warned on Monday that Nikki Haley is a “viper,” predicting a “big fight” between the Republican establishment and America First over whether Donald Trump should select her as his running mate.
“A big fight will take place in the spring; they’re going to try to force Nikki on the ticket, they’ll say Trump needs a woman… and she can bring together that 15 percent of Never Trumpers in the Republican Party,” the former White House Chief Strategist told commentator Jack Posobiec.
“We’re going to have to have that fight. If Nikki Haley is in this administration in any capacity, it will fail,” he warned.
“She’s a viper, and once she gets in there, she’ll try to run it as Prime Minister. She’ll try to be Dick Cheney… to Bush.”
If it does materialize, Bannon will have a powerful ally in this fight in the form of the 45th President’s eldest son, Don Jr.
“I wouldn’t have her on [the ticket], and I would go to great lengths to make sure that that doesn’t happen,” he said last month.
“Nikki Haley wants never-ending wars,” he continued, describing her as “a puppet of the establishment in Washington D.C.”
“By the way, all you’d get is her and team trying to destroy Donald Trump from within, forever,” he added.

A court in Ontario, Canada has ruled the slang term ‘groomer’ – used to describe individuals targeting young people or minors for exploitation and especially sexual activity – is not protected speech when used against drag performers who seek audiences of kids. The ruling was made as part of a defamation case against someone who allegedly called a drag performer and a LGBTQ organization “groomers”.
The court claimed there was no public interest served by the term as it was allegedly used to insinuate pedophilic behavior where there was no such evidence. The incident occurred in a small Canadian town called Dryden, a little over 200 miles north of the U.S. border-town of International Falls in Minnesota. Local blogger Brian Webster, posting on Facebook, accused a drag queen story hour hosted at a local library of being “groomers” and indicated participants were plotting to abuse children.
It is alleged violent threats made against the drag queen story hour were the result of Webster’s post, with a local LGBTQ group, Rainbow Alliance Dryden filing a defamation suit for $95,000 in punitive damages. The blogger attempted to have the defamation suit thrown out, citing Ontario Canada’s anti-Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation (anti-SLAPP) laws. However, Ontario Superior Court Justice Tracey Nieckarz ruled just before Christmas the province’s anti-SLAPP statutes did not apply to Webster’s posts.
“I simply cannot find any public interest in protecting a harmful trope that associates 2SLGBTQI people with sexual predation against children,” the judge wrote in her decision. “On the other hand, there is considerable public interest in allowing individuals who are the victims of such conduct to publicly defend their reputation in a court of law.” Webster faces a second defamation suit in Thunder Bay, Canada for similar claims made in that locality as well.

President Joe Biden spent a week vacationing in the U.S. Virgin Islands, staying at the luxurious St. Croix villa of Bill and Connie Neville – tech and business moguls with interests in national media, foreign yacht sales, and venture capital investing. Online rental listings for their tropical villa indicate vacationers have paid between $700 and $900 a night to stay at the secluded beachfront property.
The Biden family has vacationed there a number of times, dating back to Biden’s Vice Presidency. Last year, He spent last New Years at the island ‘free-of-charge’ too. The White House defended the gift, stating: “As they have done previously, the President and the First Lady are staying at the home of their friends Bill and Connie Neville.”
Meet the Nevilles.
Bill Neville is the founder of US Viking, LLC, a software company whose main product is a ENPS – a software marketed by the Associated Press as “transforming the way media companies plan, manage and produce compelling news stories.” While US Viking, LLC doesn’t appear to have a website, the U.S. Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority states the company’s ENPS software is used by ” journalists in more than 800 newsrooms in over 60 countries, including ESPN and the BBC.”
Bill Neville is also listed as the head of Knowledge Ventures, LLLP – a venture capital investment firm affiliated with The University of the Virgin Islands Research and Technology Park (RTPark). The RTPark is a public-private partnership focused on research and development in financial technology, bio technology, green energy, business process outsourcing.
The same FEC data indicates Connie Neville is associated with Lightspeed Development, LLLP. Like the other businesses controlled by the Nevilles, there is little publicly available information outside of corporate filings and trademark claims. In the case of Lightspeed Development, LLLP, the company holds the trademark for Serenity Yachts, a Turkey-based luxury yacht manufacturer and shipyard.
Prolific Democrat Political Donors.
Both Bill and Connie Neville are prolific political donors. In 2020 both contributed the legal maximum to the Biden presidential campaign. Both are also supporters of Stacey Plaskett (D-USVI), the non-voting delegate to the United States House of Representatives from the United States Virgin Islands. Sens. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Joe Manchin (D-WV), and Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) have all received support from Connie Neville, as has former Senator Bill Nelson (D-FL).
One of the few Republicans to receive contributions from the Neville’s is Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL). The couple are avid basketball fans and have lavished Alabama’s University of Auburn with donations benefiting their athletic programs despite neither having attended the school. The sports arena where the Auburn Tigers men’s basketball team plays was even named after them by the university. Auburn’s Neville Arena was built in 2010 to the tune of $86 million.
The couple have given prodigiously to the Democrat National Committee, as well as former Congressman Joe Crowley (D-NY) who was defeated by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in a heated primary, and the corrupt former Congressman Charlie Rangle (D-NY). Both Congressman served on the powerful House Ways and Means Committee which has legislative jurisdiction over both taxation and tariffs – issues of importance to the Neville’s who appear to have additional business interests – some with foreign ties.
Ethics Concerns.
When President Joe Biden hosted his first state dinner, with French President Emmanuel Macron, the Nevilles attended as guests, raising ethics concerns due to Biden’s vacations at their property.
Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, raised these matters in a recent interview: “Hunter’s laptop and other evidence show Biden’s record of converting his public office into private gain. So it is no surprise Biden is getting a free luxury vacation from a wealthy donor who ‘coincidentally’ received primo White House state dinner tickets.”
Joe Biden has routinely failed to disclose free vacation stays at the homes of wealthy donors.
Republicans in the House of Representatives are advancing an impeachment inquiry into President Biden over allegations of abuse of office and public corruption during his tenure as Vice-President under President Barack Obama.
