Jared Kushner, former senior adviser to ex-President Donald Trump and Trump’s son-in-law, announced Tuesday he will not return to the White House’s administration if Trump is reelected. Speaking at an Axios event in Miami, Kushner expressed his intention to concentrate on his firm. His wife, Ivanka Trump, also a former White House aide, is said to be enjoying a quieter, family-focused lifestyle.
During the interview, Axios Business Editor Dan Primack sought explicit clarification on Kushner’s stance. When asked if he would reject an invitation back to Washington D.C., Kushner confirmed, “Yes.” Despite his refusal, he expressed admiration for Trump’s current campaign team, describing it as “maybe the best he’s had.” After serving in key roles in the White House with Ivanka, Kushner forecasted a “very, very long list of very qualified people to choose from” for positions in Trump’s administration, should he be elected.
Under Trump’s administration, Kushner played a key role in brokering the Abraham Accords, a significant step toward normalizing Israel’s relations with the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. Trump, with an established pattern of including family members in key roles, recently endorsed his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, for the position of co-chair at the Republican National Committee.
