U.S. truck drivers may begin to refuse freight transportation to New York City, a move that could significantly disrupt supply chains given the vital role trucking plays in U.S. freight. Posts highlighting the potential protest emerged late Friday night on social media amongst truckers, a community contributing to the transportation of an estimated 70 to 73 percent of all American cargo.
According to Trump cap-wearing social media user Chicago1Ray, believed to be a Midwest truck driver, he and his fellow drivers are expressing frustration at issues ranging between national politics and the logistical difficulties of city-specific routes. Manhattan judge Engoron last week ordered former President Trump to pay over $355 million after claiming Trump misrepresented the value of his assets. The judge, an example, valued the billion-dollar property of Mar-A-Lago at around just $18 million in order to reach his verdict. Engoron’s law clerk is a current far-left, NeverTrump activist with close links to national Democrats.
“F*ck around and find out,” says Chicago1Ray in the video below. “We’re tired of you motherf*cking leftists f*cking with Trump, okay?”
The user shared a video online in which he claimed a growing number of drivers will start denying loads to New York City starting Monday. Chicago1Ray mentioned multiple conversations with truckers who supported the sentiment and were prepared to take action.
