Biden Follows Trump To U.S. Southern Border Today.

President Joe Biden is heading to the border city of Brownsville, Texas, on Thursday. The move comes after former President Donald Trump announced last week he would be visiting Eagle Pass, Texas, on the same day. The move by Biden underscores his vulnerability regarding the handling of the border crisis — which a majority of Americans say has turned into an all-out invasion.

Earlier on Monday, former President Trump blasted Biden on social media for the murder of Laken Riely, a 22-year-old nursing student in Georgia. Riley was killed Thursday by Jose Antonio Ibarra, an illegal immigrant from Venezuela who entered the U.S. in 2022. The Georgia murder has put a human face to the cost of the Biden government’s open-border policies

Polling for President Biden, the 81-year-old Democrat incumbent, has been dismal on the subject of immigration. February’s Harvard/Harris poll indicates that 62 percent of Americans believe the country is on the wrong track. Just 35 percent of Americans approve of Biden’s handling of immigration. The Monmouth University poll for February shows that 6 in 10 Americans believe immigration is now a very serious problem. A majority of Americans currently support the construction of a border wall for the first time since Monmouth began asking the question in 2015.

The National Pulse previously reported that Hispanic voters are increasingly turning on Biden over his poor handling of the border crisis. An overwhelming number of Hispanic voters say they disapprove of Biden’s handling of immigration and would like to see tighter border controls put in place.

Georgia Election Workers Demand Rudy Giuliani’s Yankees World Series Rings.

Andrew Giuliani has filed court documents to assert his ownership of four World Series rings, originally given to his father, Rudy Giuliani, by the New York Yankees following their championships in 1996, 1998, 1999, and 2000. The rings are at the center of a legal dispute involving a $148 million defamation judgment against Rudy Giuliani by Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Wandrea “Shaye” Moss. The judgment stems from allegations Giuliani made about fraud in the 2020 presidential election, which Freeman and Moss argued caused them to face significant threats.

Andrew Giuliani, who ran for New York governor as a Republican in 2022, argues that his father gifted him the rings in 2018, according to court filings in Manhattan. He seeks to prevent Freeman and Moss from acquiring the rings as part of their efforts to collect on the defamation judgment. A judge has allowed Andrew Giuliani to intervene in this case.

Rudy Giuliani, hailed as “America’s Mayor” for his leadership in New York City following the September 11 terrorist attacks, is facing attempts to seize property such as his Manhattan apartment and jewelry collection, including the World Series rings. He is appealing the defamation judgment, arguing his statements on 2020 election fraud fall under free speech protections. He also contends that Freeman and Moss did not demonstrate “actual malice” on his part, a necessary component for winning defamation cases.

Freeman and Moss’s legal team has accused Rudy Giuliani of evading efforts to collect the exorbitant judgment through various legal maneuvers. Their litigation to secure the assets is proceeding with a hearing set for October 17.

Students Plan Walkout Over Trans Athletes in Girls’ Sports.

High school students across New York are organizing a statewide walkout on October 24 to protest the inclusion of transgender athletes in girls’ sports. The Coalition to Protect Kids is spearheading the ‘Walk Off for Fairness Day’ event. The Catholic Church and conservative groups have also announced their support for it.

The demonstration comes amid debate over Proposition 1 on the November ballot. This measure, known as the Equal Rights Amendment, would codify abortion into the New York State Constitution but also includes language that could allow male-born athletes identifying as females to participate in girls’ and women’s sports, disadvantaging female athletes.

Ayesha Kreutz, spokeswoman for The Coalition to Protect Kids, emphasizes that ‘Walk Off for Fairness Day’ offers a platform for young women to voice their concerns. According to Kreutz, many female athletes feel pressured to remain silent on the issue.

New York Republican Party chairman Ed Cox states that Prop 1 would undermine Title IX protections. He notes it could potentially impact scholarships and opportunities for female athletes.

The walkout comes just months after a judge in Virginia ruled that a transgender male could join the girls’ tennis team at a school in the state after a local school district attempted to prevent them.

Biologically male athletes have routinely demonstrated advantages when playing against females, including at this year’s Summer Olympics, when the women’s 145-pound boxing gold medal was won by a person who previously failed gender tests.

Lefty Sports Blog Deadspin Smeared a Child for ‘Blackface’ – A Judge Said the Defamation Suit Will Continue.

A judge in Delaware has denied Deadspin’s request to dismiss a defamation lawsuit over an article published by former Deadspin writer Carron J. Phillips, accusing a young NFL fan of wearing blackface at a Kansas City Chiefs game.

The article featured an image of Holden Armenta, age nine, who was wearing a Native American headdress and painted half his face black and the other half red. Deadspin, which also criticized the headdress, initially displayed only the black-painted side of Holden’s face in its coverage.

Published in 2023, the Deadspin article remained unchanged for 11 days. “It takes a lot to disrespect two groups of people at once. But on Sunday afternoon in Las Vegas, a Kansas City Chiefs fan found a way to hate Black people and the Native Americans at the same time,” it declared.

The Armenta family demanded a retraction, but Deadspin only added an editor’s note after legal threats. Phillips’s piece continued to assert that the child was perpetuating racism, which the Armenta family disputes, noting Holden is Native American.

The lawsuit, initiated in February, accuses Deadspin and Phillips of making baseless allegations to stimulate attention and create a politically charged narrative. Judge Sean Lugg indicated that assertions in Deadspin’s article were actionable as false accusations rather than protected opinions. He stated Deadspin’s implication of racial hatred by the young fan crossed into defamation territory.

In March, G/O Media sold Deadspin to Lineup Publishing. Following the acquisition, Lineup Publishing dismissed Deadspin’s staff, including Phillips.

Following the article’s publication, the Armentas claimed to have received threatening messages, including death threats toward Holden. In an appearance on Fox News last year, the child said the situation was “scary” and made him “nervous.”

Kamala Leans on John Fetterman to Bring in Blue-Collar Voters.

Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) is emerging as a key campaign surrogate for Vice President Kamala Harris in the closing days of the 2024 presidential election. She hopes to head off President Donald J. Trump’s surging support among blue-collar voters in Pennsylvania, and her campaign believes deploying Fetterman to rally voters in rural Pennsylvania counties will push the Democratic Vice President’s margins higher than President Joe Biden’s during the 2020 election.

Trump’s strong showing in the critical swing state looms large in the mind of the Harris campaign. Despite losing Pennsylvania to Biden in 2020, Trump saw a significant increase in his margins in the state’s more rural counties compared to his 2016 numbers. In rural Somerset County—about an hour outside Pittsburgh in western Pennsylvania—Trump carried the vote by 55 points in 2016. He defeated Biden by an even greater margin in the county during the 2020 election.

Hoping to narrow the margin in places like Somerset, the Harris campaign has dispatched Fetterman, the state’s junior Democratic Senator who has sometimes bucked the national party and has populist appeal. Over the final weeks before Election Day, Fetterman will host over a half dozen events across rural Pennsylvania, with an appeal to union voters and legacy Democrats being the primary focus.

Data released by the Teamsters Union in September suggests Trump is winning union households by a two-to-one margin over Harris. The labor union, with over one million members, has declined to endorse a presidential candidate for the first time in 28 years.

UK ‘Conservatives’ Are Picking Their New Party Leader. The Options Aren’t Great…

Grassroots members of Britain’s Conservative (Tory) Party, ousted from government after 14 years in office in a July snap election, will shortly choose between two candidates – Olukemi ‘Kemi’ Badenoch and Robert Jenrick – to replace former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak as party leader.

Members of Parliament (MPs) for the party have whittled down an initial slate of candidates to a final two, who will now battle it out in public before a vote of the party’s official membership.

ALL-TALK BADENOCH.

Badenoch was first elected to Parliament in 2017 and rapidly promoted to a government role by 2019. She became an overnight star on the Conservative right with a 2020 speech as Minister of State for Equalities, in which he claimed the government—then led by Boris Johnson—”stand[s] unequivocally against Critical Race Theory” and described Black Lives Matter as a “political movement.”

However, despite her insistence that “any school that teaches… Critical Race Theory as fact, or that promotes partisan political views such as defunding the police without offering a balanced treatment of opposing views, is breaking the law,” such ideology flourished in the British state during her time in government, and there is no evidence she ever took action against it.

In fact, she declined to comment when the socialized National Health Service (NHS) pushed an anti-“whiteness” ideology the year after her Critical Race Theory (CRT) speech. After she was promoted to Secretary of State for International Trade, she oversaw officials indulging in CRT-style themed training framed around the book ‘Why I No Longer Talk to White People About Race.’

Towards the end of the Conservatives’ 14 years in office, she produced an official report complaining about far-left diversity training in government and corporations. Despite her rhetoric, she concluded that elected officials should not even try to stop bureaucrats from disseminating such ideological training, insisting that “bans and acts” were undesirable.

Similarly, despite talking a good game against mass migration, her party oversaw record-breaking immigration in office, and she personally lobbied to remove annual limits on the inflow of foreign workers and students. Badenoch herself was born in London, but her parents are Nigerian, and she grew up in Nigeria.

GENERIC JENRICK.

Badenoch’s rival for the party leadership is Robert Jenrick, once dubbed “Robert Generic” for his bland, so-called centrist politics. He campaigned against Brexit and said he hoped to see a “liberal immigration policy” post-Brexit.

He finished his government career as an immigration minister under former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, resigning over concerns that the never-implemented, now-scrapped Rwanda deportation plan for illegal aliens was unworkable.

However, since this resignation, he has reinvented himself as an anti-immigration hawk, lobbying for stricter controls with some vigor.

“[T]he economic model that we’ve become hooked on isn’t working,” Jenrick admitted shortly after leaving government. “If importing hundreds of thousands of foreign workers to the UK was a route to prosperity, the UK would be one of the richest countries in the world. Instead, for almost the last two years we’ve had a recession in GDP per capita… I care about the prosperity of our own citizens, not the overall size of the economy,” he added.

Since then, government officials have confirmed that low-paid migrants are an immediate and lifelong drain on the public finances.

Jenrick has also committed to leaving the European Court of Human Rights, a non-European Union body to which Britain remains subject, putting him well to the right of Badenoch. Many doubt the sincerity of Jenrick’s late-career rightward shift, with Reform Party leader Nigel Farage suggesting his conversion is “not very believable.”

Sunak’s successor should be confirmed by November 2.

Bin Laden’s Son Barred from France for Terror Advocacy.

Omar bin Laden, son of the late al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, has been permanently banned from entering France, according to a recent announcement by Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau. Omar, aged 43, had been residing in Normandy, indulging in landscape painting, until his residency was revoked in October 2023. The revocation followed controversial social media posts that coincided with the anniversary of his father’s death, with French authorities accusing him of glorifying terrorism.

Retailleau declared via X (formerly Twitter) that Omar bin Laden “won’t return to France for any reason whatsoever” due to comments on social media promoting terrorism. The prefecture of Orne issued a directive for his expulsion, a decision upheld by French courts on national security grounds. Omar, married to British national Zaina Mohamad Al-Sabah since 2006, has been living in Domfront-en-Poiraie since 2018.

Omar’s agent, Pascal Martin, expressed concern over Omar’s psychological health and criticized the ban as “inconceivable.” He highlighted Omar’s struggles as the son of the infamous terrorist, noting his disavowal of Osama bin Laden’s actions. Despite this denouncement, Omar has described his father as having a “kind heart.”

French Interior Minister Retailleau’s decision aligns with his commitment to tighten immigration controls and counter political Islam. Retailleau has stated that French laws may be altered to ensure public safety.

Omar, who spent his early years in Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan, is reportedly the only one among Osama bin Laden’s 24 children to denounce him publicly. Omar’s application to reside in the United Kingdom was denied in 2008. He initially gained media attention in the 2000s, expressing aspirations to meet the Pope.

The Last Inflation/Jobs Numbers Before The Election Just Came Out.

Wall Street futures continued to slide Thursday after U.S. inflation data for September came in higher than expected, underlining issues with the Biden-Harris government’s handling of the economy. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 0.2 percent month-over-month and 2.4 percent annually, exceeding economists’ estimates and putting pressure on the Federal Reserve to continue adjusting interest rates.

The core inflation rate—which excludes food and energy prices—increased 3.3 percent year-on-year, surpassing predictions of 2.3 percent. Sustained inflation, particularly in the core figure, highlights the Biden-Harris government’s failure to bring prices under control despite promises to ease the financial burdens on American families.

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have exacerbated inflation through excessive government spending and poor economic policies. Harris, having replaced Biden as the Democratic presidential nominee, has been trying to distance herself from the government’s economic record. However, the 81-year-old President has been clear she was involved in all aspects of his maladministration.

Wall Street reacted negatively to the inflation data, with Dow E-minis falling 112 points (0.26 percent), S&P 500 E-minis down 21.5 points (0.37 percent), and Nasdaq 100 E-minis dropping 106.25 points (0.52 percent). Traders expect the Federal Reserve to ease interest rates by 25 basis points at its next meeting. Still, the ongoing inflationary pressure casts doubt on how effective such measures will be.

Furthermore, weekly jobless claims rose to 258,000, higher than the forecasted 230,000, suggesting labor market weaknesses. Previous data indicates that almost all jobs created under Biden-Harris have gone to migrants.

The uncertain economic outlook also weighs heavily on key sectors, with airline stocks like Delta, United, and American Airlines all posting losses.

Former President Donald J. Trump consistently outpolls Biden and Harris regarding inflation and the economy.

Trump Makes Rare Statement on Scottish Independence – ‘I Hope The UK Stays Together.’

Former President Donald J. Trump has said he hopes the United Kingdom will not break up, recalling how Scotland came close to leaving the Union in 2014. He made the comments during a conversation with Andrew Schulz, a comedian and podcaster who, like the former president, has a Scottish mother.

“I tell you what, England fought them for a thousand years trying to get ’em under tow—they couldn’t do it,” Trump said, saying his mother, Mary, from Scotland’s Western Isles, exemplified this national toughness.

Praising Mel Gibson‘s performance as Scottish independence leader Sir William Wallace in Braveheart, Trump recalled how even the Romans built walls—Hadrian’s Wall and the Antonine Wall—because they were “afraid” of the Scots, saying, “The Scottish people, they’re tough people, they’re good people, actually they’re very great people, [and] they’re good fighters.”

He noted his mother was a great admirer of the late Queen Elizabeth II and that terminating the United Kingdom would be “a hard breakup.”

“You know they tried to break up Scotland from the rest of the Empire, so to speak,” he said of the 2014 referendum on Scottish independence. “I hope it stays together; I hope it always stays together,” he added.

Despite being bigger by size and population, Trump noted that England could never subdue Scotland by force and that the two kingdoms eventually “married.”

James VI, King of Scots, became James I of England as well on the death of Elizabeth I in 1603—the Union of the Crowns. King James played a prominent role in the early settlement of the Americas, and the Scottish and English kingdoms—including Wales and Ireland as de facto dependencies of the English crown—agreed to a full political union in 1707, forming the Kingdom of Great Britain.

Data Shows Farage’s Reform Supporters Are Actually The Only Ones NOT ‘Protest Voting.’

Polling data on the July general election in Britain reveals that most voters who voted for the Labour Party did so to get the Conservatives out of power, while those who voted for Nigel Farage’s Reform Party did so because they actually believed in the party’s policies.

YouGov recently released the summer voter data, offering insight into the factors influencing voter behavior in the UK’s 2024 general election. Before the election, YouGov polls noted voters’ apathy toward the parties they intended to vote for. The post-election data confirms the trend, highlighting that many voters’ decisions were driven more by opposition to other parties than enthusiasm for their chosen party.

For Labour supporters, the predominant reason to vote was opposition to the Conservative Party, with 34 percent identifying this as their chief motivation. Just six percent expressed alignment with Labour’s election manifesto or policies.

Similarly, the primary reason Liberal Democrat voters chose their party was to oust the Conservatives.

Unlike other parties, Reform supporters’ leading reason was to control immigration, a key policy of the Farage-led party cited by 34 percent. Dislike for other parties ranked second, at nine percent.

Reform leader Nigel Farage introduced his campaign by calling for “net zero migration,” meaning that the number of people leaving and entering the country should be balanced.

Other polls have also shown Reform performed better among young voters than the Conservatives during the election. Young European voters are flocking to parties with anti-mass migration policies in several European countries, including Germany, France, and Austria.

The YouGov poll could partially explain Labour leader and Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s massive dip in popularity soon after entering office. Sixty-three percent of Britons now hold an unfavorable view of him.

Trump to Launch Final 2024 Campaign Push with Rally at Historic New York City Venue.

Former President Donald J. Trump is set to hold a major rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City later this month. According to sources, the event is planned for October 27, nine days before Election Day. The gathering will reportedly follow a first-come, first-serve approach, anticipating a large attendance.

Trump, who recently addressed an observance in Florida commemorating the anniversary of the October 7 Hamas attacks on Israel, has attracted substantial crowds throughout the 2024 presidential campaign. Last month, approximately 16,000 supporters attended his rally at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, Long Island. Earlier in the summer, up to 10,000 people congregated at Crotona Park in the Bronx, surpassing the venue’s permit limit of 3,500 attendees.

Madison Square Garden can accommodate up to 19,500 spectators. It has been the site of several key national conventions, including the Democratic gatherings in 1976, 1980, and 1992 and the Republican National Convention in 2004.

Trump is not new to the idea of a rally at this well-known arena. During an interview in February, he mentioned the possibility, citing changes in New York’s political landscape as a motivating factor. Trump expressed confidence that he could garner votes from a broader spectrum of New Yorkers, indicating a focused effort in the state for the upcoming election. In April, he again suggested that a rally at Madison Square Garden was imminent.

The Trump campaign has yet to comment officially on the event, but it is expected to send an announcement to supporters soon.
