Former President Donald Trump leads Joe Biden in six of the seven most critical swing states. A recent Wall Street Journal poll queried voters from Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin — all states that could decide the 2024 election. Trump is leading Biden in all of them except Wisconsin, where the two candidates are tied.
The former President leads Biden 47 percent to 42 percent in Arizona, 49 percent to 45 percent in Georgia, 48 percent to 45 percent in Michigan, 48 percent to 44 percent in Nevada, 49 percent to 43 percent in North Carolina, and 47 percent to 44 percent in Pennsylvania. Trump and Biden sit at 46 percent each in Wisconsin.
If Trump were to lose Wisconsin but win the other six states, he would almost certainly win the Presidency.
The poll comes as voters consistently rank immigration, inflation, and the economy in general as their most important issues — all areas in which Biden’s policy failures have been acutely apparent.
Illegal immigration — once the concern solely of border states — is now a national issue as the border crisis continues to spiral out of control and illegal aliens are flooding into the nation’s interior, straining resources and committing crimes.
The real inflation rate continues to sit well above the Federal Reserve’s two percent target, driving up the cost of living for most Americans.
