Joe Biden could not recall the date of the 2021 riots at the Capitol building while speaking at a fundraiser on Thursday night. Appearing at the Hollywood residence of celebrity acting couple Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, the 81-year-old Biden referred to the January 6 riots as having occurred on June 6 — appearing to confuse the riots with the Normandy invasion in 1944.
“We’ll certainly never forget the dark days of June 6, January 6th, excuse me,” Biden told the high-dollar donor crowd in California in an attempt to criticize former President Donald Trump. At 81 years old, Biden is the oldest American to have ever served as President of the United States.
Over the past several months, Biden‘s cognitive abilities and memory recollection appear to have declined significantly. The National Pulse has previously reported on several instances where the incumbent Democrat has been unable to remember what century it currently is and falsely claimed to have played roles in both significant and insignificant past events.
Most recently, Biden left even some of his most ardent defenders bewildered after mentioning the death of his uncle Ambrose Finnigan on the campaign trail — insisting it could have come at the hands of cannibals. Biden, again, got basic facts surrounding his uncle’s military service and disappearance in an air crash incorrect. And while there is a remote possibility Finnigan could have been killed — and even eaten — by inhabitants of Papua New Guinea, it remains unclear why Biden felt the need to bring it up on the camping trail.
