The ‘Bidenbucks’ Coverup, and the Rush to Find Answers…

Congressional Republicans are demanding answers about the Joe Biden regime’s use of the Small Business Administration (SBA) to engage alleged in pro-Democrat get-out-the-vote efforts. The Biden SBA has “partnered” with the Michigan Secretary of State to spend taxpayer money on voter registration efforts in the key battleground state, an endeavor critics say is a thinly veiled effort to spend ‘Bidenbucks’ on buying Biden voters. It is refusing to comply with the House Small Business Committee’s investigation.

Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), the ranking member of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, said the regime’s use of the SBA for voter registration in Michigan was “beyond disturbing.”

Ernst, alongside Rep. Roger Williams, R-Texas, Chairman of the House Small Business Committee, is seeking answers regarding the SBA’s connection to the Michigan voter registration project. Earlier this year, a memorandum was signed between the SBA and the Michigan Department of State “to promote civic engagement and voter registration,” with the partnership set to continue until the beginning of 2036. This move is part of President Biden’s Executive Order 14019, often referred to as “Bidenbucks” by election integrity advocates.

Last week, Williams issued subpoenas to Tyler Robinson and Arthur Plews, both prominent SBA officials, following their noncompliance with a congressional investigation into suspected “engineering” activities.

Ernst and Williams stated that SBA officials continue to disregard their requests for documentation and have not attended scheduled interviews, intensifying uncertainty around the regime’s transparency. Moving forward, Biden‘s executive order and the SBA’s involvement in voter registration will likely face legal challenges and rigorous analyses.

“Using taxpayer dollars in an attempt to engage in federal campaign activities is a gross abuse of official agency resources and needs to be further investigated,” Ernst wrote in a letter to SBA Administrator Isabel Casillas Guzman last month.

Pelosi Retires After Almost Four Decades in Office.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has announced she will not seek reelection to Congress, after almost four decades in office.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic Party.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The announcement was made on November 6, 2025, in a video directed at her San Francisco constituents.

💬KEY QUOTE: “I have truly loved serving as your voice in Congress.” – Nancy Pelosi

🎯IMPACT: Pelosi’s departure marks the end of an era for Democratic leadership in Congress.

IN FULL

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), the former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives and longtime Democrat power player, has announced she will not seek reelection after almost four decades in office. The 85-year-old’s announcement comes after a significant political victory for the Democrats in California, where a ballot measure she supported won by a large margin, redrawing the state’s congressional map to favor Democrats.

Reflecting on her career, Pelosi stated that standing on the House floor as the voice of San Francisco starting in 1987 was her greatest honor. Her tenure included fierce political battles, including clashes with President Donald J. Trump. She played a key role in forcing former President Joe Biden off the Democratic ticket in 2024 and facilitating his smooth replacement by former Vice President Kamala Harris, showcasing her leading role in her party well into the twilight of her political career.

She is particularly noted for having amassed an enormous fortune alongside her husband, Paul, during her time in Congress, with her exorbitant earnings frequently highlighted during debates on restricting trades by lawmakers, who often have foreknowledge of government actions impacting the stock market.

Migrant Mayor Faces Charges for Voting Illegally.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A non-citizen Kansas mayor has been charged with voting unlawfully in multiple elections.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Coldwater Mayor Joe Ceballos, Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab, and Attorney General Kris Kobach.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Charges were filed in Comanche County for alleged voting violations in 2022, 2023, and 2024. Ceballos’s first court appearance is scheduled for December 3.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Noncitizen voting is a real problem. It is not something that happens once in a decade. It is something that happens fairly frequently.” – Kris Kobach

🎯IMPACT: The case highlights concerns over the integrity of elections, with foreign nationals able to vote in them due to inadequate safeguards despite a legal ban.

IN FULL

Kansas Republican Secretary of State Scott Schwab and Attorney General Kris Kobach have filed six charges against Coldwater Mayor Joe Ceballos, a legal permanent resident from Mexico, accusing him of illegally voting as a non-citizen in elections in 2022, 2023, and 2024. The charges, brought in Comanche County, involve perjury and casting ballots without eligibility, with a possible prison term exceeding five years.

Ceballos, a former city council member, was reelected on Tuesday, although this is currently uncertified. Kobach pointed out that city officials must be U.S. citizens by law—although failing to meet that criterion isn’t a crime itself—meaning he will likely be removed from office.

“In large part, our system right now is based on trust. Trust that when the person signed the registration or signs the pollbooks saying that he’s a qualified elector or that he is a United States citizen, that the person is telling the truth,” Kobach stressed, adding: “In this case, we allege that Mr. Ceballos violated that trust.”

He emphasized that non-citizen voting, despite being legally banned, is a recurring problem due to a lack of safeguards being in place to detect it. “It is not something that happens once in a decade. It is something that happens fairly frequently,” he said. The National Pulse has previously reported on academic research suggesting that non-citizens, who tend to favor the Democrats, vote on a large enough scale to swing elections, “likely [giving] Senate Democrats the pivotal 60th vote needed to overcome filibusters in order to pass health care reform and other Obama administration priorities in the 111th Congress,” for instance.

Kansas is now cross-referencing voter lists with a federal immigration database, anticipating it will reveal more such violations. “We now have tools, thanks to the current White House, that we haven’t had in over 10 years… we can check through the SAVE program, to find out if folks end up on our voter rolls,” Schwab said.

NASA Observes Increased Speed in Object Harvard Physicist Says Could Be ‘Alien Mothership.’

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: An interstellar object, 3I/ATLAS, has picked up speed unexpectedly as it moves away from the sun and closer to Earth, defying gravitational predictions.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: NASA scientists, Harvard physicist Avi Loeb, and astronomers tracking the object.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The object reached perihelion on October 29, 2025, and is now six weeks away from its closest approach to Earth.

💬KEY QUOTE: “If 3I/ATLAS is not enshrouded in a much more massive gas cloud after perihelion than it had in the months preceding perihelion, then its recent non-gravitational acceleration must have resulted from a different cause than cometary evaporation.” – Avi Loeb

🎯IMPACT: The object’s unexplained movements and composition raise questions about its nature, with some suggesting it could be an extraterrestrial craft.

IN FULL

The interstellar object 3I/ATLAS has been observed accelerating as it moves away from the sun and closer to Earth, according to NASA. This unexpected speed increase has shifted the object off its predicted path, defying the gravitational forces of the sun, which contains the majority of the solar system’s mass.

3I/ATLAS, initially recorded as the fastest space object entering the solar system at over 130,000 mph, has now reached speeds of around 152,000 mph after its closest approach to the sun on October 29. While NASA attributes the speed boost primarily to the sun’s gravity, the object’s noticeable deviation from its expected trajectory remains unexplained.

Harvard physicist Avi Loeb has pointed out that astronomers have yet to find sufficient evidence of gas emissions from the object, which would typically indicate a cometary nature. “If 3I/ATLAS is not enshrouded in a much more massive gas cloud after perihelion than it had in the months preceding perihelion, then its recent non-gravitational acceleration must have resulted from a different cause than cometary evaporation,” Loeb stated.

The object has exhibited unusual characteristics, including turning blue as it approached the sun, rather than red like typical comets. It also has a massive estimated weight of 33 billion tons, with a composition of nickel and carbon dioxide, unlike the ice and water found in comets formed in our solar system. These anomalies have led some, including Loeb, to theorize that it could be a nuclear-powered ‘mothership’ created by an alien intelligence.

NASA’s latest data shows that the mysterious push on 3I/ATLAS weakened after it passed perihelion, yet it remains detectable. The James Webb Space Telescope is set to observe the object in December to search for any gas cloud that could explain its movements. However, Loeb and others continue to question whether the object’s behavior and composition might point to a non-natural origin.

Colombia’s Marxist Leader Celebrates Mamdani’s Victory.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Colombia’s far-left President Gustavo Petro celebrated the election of far-left Zohran Mamdani as Mayor of New York City, sharing images of a prior meeting with the Democratic Socialist.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Gustavo Petro, Zohran Mamdani, and the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

📍WHEN & WHERE: New York City, September meeting; social media posts shared in November.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Very good, New York, I’ll see you again someday.” – Gustavo Petro

🎯IMPACT: Petro’s actions highlight his antagonism toward the Trump administration, which has intensified since the U.S. military began striking drug-trafficking boats near the Colombian coast.

IN FULL

Colombia’s far-left President Gustavo Petro, recently sanctioned by the U.S., hailed the victory of far-left Zohran Mamdani in New York City’s mayoral race. Petro posted video footage from a September encounter with Mamdani at the United Nations General Assembly’s 80th session. “Very good, New York, I’ll see you again someday,” the Marxist wrote, likely in reference to the fact that his U.S. visa has been pulled for urging American troops to defy orders from President Donald J. Trump.

In October, the U.S. Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) slapped sanctions on Petro, accusing him of aiding the global spread of illegal narcotics. Cocaine output has spiked under his watch, and he has pushed for legalization, arguing it’s “less harmful” than sugar. His son, Nicolas Petro Burgos, is accused of channeling drug funds into his campaign. The First Lady and the Interior Minister also drew OFAC penalties.

Undeterred, Petro has insisted he will head back to New York in January for a United Nations speech, “even if the federal government does not want to receive me there.” Lately, Petro’s barbs at the U.S. have intensified, demanding President Trump’s arrest and suggesting someone should “get rid of” him.

Petro is fiercely opposed to Trump’s military strikes on drug-trafficking narco-terrorists in South America. These initially focused on targets near Venezuela, but have since expanded to waters off Colombia.

Texas Passes Explicit Constitutional Ban on Noncitizen Voting.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Texans approved a constitutional amendment to prohibit non-U.S. citizens from voting in the state.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Texas voters, Governor Greg Abbott (R), and state legislators.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The vote took place in Texas during the most recent election period.

💬KEY QUOTE: “It is now in our Constitution that only U.S. citizens can vote in Texas elections,” said Governor Abbott.

🎯IMPACT: The amendment reinforces existing state and federal laws barring non-citizens from voting.

IN FULL

Texas voters have overwhelmingly approved a constitutional amendment that explicitly bans non-U.S. citizens from voting in state elections. The proposal, linked to Senate Joint Resolution 37, passed with nearly 72 percent support, according to unofficial results. The measure adds language to the state constitution stating that “persons who are not citizens of the United States” are among those prohibited from voting in Texas elections.

Texas law already requires U.S. citizenship to register to vote, and federal law bars non-citizens from voting in federal contests, including presidential and congressional races. However, supporters of the amendment said the change ensures the restriction is permanently enshrined in the state’s highest legal document. Governor Greg Abbott (R) celebrated the outcome on X, writing, “It is now in our Constitution that only U.S. citizens can vote in Texas elections.”

The amendment’s passage comes amid heightened scrutiny of voter eligibility across the state. In recent years, Texas officials have taken a series of steps to tighten election security and remove ineligible voters from state rolls. In 2024, the state reported removing roughly one million ineligible names from the voter database, including more than 6,500 flagged as non-citizens. State officials have also referred dozens of alleged cases of non-citizen voting from the 2024 general election to the Texas Attorney General’s office for further investigation.

These actions follow a broader national debate over election integrity and the extent to which non-citizen voting may occur in local or state elections. Supporters of the amendment argue that clear constitutional language helps prevent future confusion and strengthens public trust in elections.

The Texas initiative aligns with a broader push in several Republican-led states to reaffirm or expand constitutional prohibitions on non-citizen voting. Lawmakers and advocacy groups in states including Florida, Ohio, and Wisconsin have advanced similar proposals in recent years.

Texas has also drawn attention for its efforts to maintain clean voter rolls. State election officials have cited data-sharing programs and verification systems designed to identify and remove ineligible voters.

Nationwide Airport Shutdown to Paralyze Travel for Hours.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Travel chaos erupted across the U.S. as staffing shortages caused by the ongoing Democrat-caused government shutdown led to significant flight delays.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, air traffic controllers, and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Wednesday, November 5, 2025, affecting airports nationwide, including Newark, JFK, LAX, and others.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Unless a deal to end the federal government shutdown is reached, a 10 percent reduction in scheduled air traffic at 40 major airports will begin Friday.” – Sean Duffy

🎯IMPACT: Delays of up to seven hours at major airports, with average wait times around two hours and 20 minutes, affecting both arrivals and departures.

IN FULL

Travel disruptions across the United States intensified on November 5 as the Democrat-caused federal government shutdown worsened staffing shortages at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The agency reported delays at 17 major airports, with wait times potentially reaching seven hours.

Airports affected include Newark Liberty International (EWR), John F. Kennedy (JFK), LaGuardia (LGA), Los Angeles (LAX), Atlanta (ATL), Chicago O’Hare (ORD), Miami (MIA), Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Washington-area airports (DCA, IAD, BWI), and hubs in San Francisco (SFO), Boston (BOS), Seattle (SEA), Denver (DEN), Orlando (MCO), and Salt Lake City (SLC).

To manage the backlog, the FAA has implemented an airspace flow program, spacing out flights across U.S. airspace from the ground to 60,000 feet. Both arrivals and departures are affected, with average delays estimated at 2 hours and 20 minutes. Newark has experienced some of the longest delays, while Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport has reported average delays exceeding three hours.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy warned that, if the Democrat shutdown continues, there could be a 10 percent reduction in scheduled air traffic at 40 major airports starting Friday. “Unless a deal to end the federal government shutdown is reached, a 10 percent reduction in scheduled air traffic at 40 major airports will begin Friday,” he said.

The shutdown, now in its 36th day, is the longest in U.S. history. Approximately 13,000 air traffic controllers and 50,000 Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents are working without pay, placing additional strain on an already understaffed system. On Monday, about 2,800 flights were delayed and more than 100 were canceled, as some essential workers struggled to report to work amid financial pressure.

The aviation industry, including major carriers like Delta Air Lines, has urged Congress to pass a “clean continuing resolution” (CR) to reopen the government. Republicans have tried this multiple times, but the Democratic minority in the U.S. Senate has blocked every attempt.

Delta executives warned that ongoing delays and cancellations threaten safety and could disrupt air travel nationwide. Meanwhile, some Senate Democrats have suggested federal workers are willing to continue working without pay to oppose elements of the Trump agenda. Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) remarked, “I think they all would like to see the shutdown end, but they also don’t like giving Donald Trump a blank check.”

As the shutdown drags on, officials continue to monitor staffing levels and adjust flight schedules. Travelers are advised to expect extended wait times at security checkpoints and potential flight cancellations. With air traffic controllers and TSA agents stretched thin, the coming days could see further disruptions at major airports if the government remains closed.

Mamdani Lost Among Native New Yorkers, Win Carried by Newcomers.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo won the New York City mayoral election among native New Yorkers, but newcomers allowed Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani to carry the day.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Andrew Cuomo, Zohran Mamdani, and New York City voters.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The mayoral election took place in New York City on Tuesday.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Voters born in the city backed Cuomo over Mamdani by a margin of 49 percent to 38 percent.” – NBC News

🎯IMPACT: The results highlight a divide between long-time residents and newer arrivals in New York City politics, with large-scale immigration empowering radical candidates like Mamdani over local people.

IN FULL

Voters born in New York City backed former Governor Andrew Cuomo in Tuesday’s mayoral election, with the Democrat-turned-independent beating the Democrats’ socialist candidate Zohran Mamdani by a margin of 49 percent to 38 percent. However, Mamdani, a Ugandan Muslim immigrant, was able to carry the day due to overwhelming support from residents who have been in the city for under ten years, winning them by around 81 percent.

Notably, Mamdani also led among voters who have lived in New York for over a decade but were not born there, albeit more narrowly, at 55 percent to 40 percent.

“Thank you to those so often forgotten by the politics of our city, who made this movement their own. I speak of Yemeni bodega owners and Mexican abuelas. Senegalese taxi drivers and Uzbek nurses. Trinidadian line cooks and Ethiopian aunties,” Mamdani’s said during his victory speech, declaring: “New York will remain a city of immigrants: a city built by immigrants, powered by immigrants, and, as of tonight, led by an immigrant.”

The results underscore the radical political change that can be brought about by mass migration. Mamdani, who believes in fringe policies such as defunding the police, abolishing prisons, and imposing higher taxes on “whiter neighborhoods,” will now lead the largest city in the United States, despite having only become a U.S. citizen in 2018.

Feds Catch Two More in ISIS-Linked Halloween Plot.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Federal authorities arrested two additional suspects linked to a thwarted Halloween terror plot.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Tomas Kaan Jimenez-Guzal, Milo Sederat, Mohmed Ali, Majed Mahmoud, and unnamed accomplices.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Arrests occurred on November 4; linked to planned attacks in Michigan targeting LGBT nightclubs.

🎯IMPACT: Federal authorities disrupted a plot inspired by prior terror attacks, seizing weapons and ammunition.

IN FULL

Two more suspects have been arrested in connection with a foiled Halloween terror plot, according to a law enforcement source. The individuals, identified as Tomas Kaan Jimenez-Guzal and Milo Sederat, were taken into custody on Tuesday as part of an ongoing investigation that could lead to additional arrests. The New York City Police Department (NYPD) Intelligence and Counterterrorism Bureau assisted federal authorities in locating and apprehending the suspects. It remains unclear whether the two are among the unnamed co-conspirators mentioned in earlier court documents.

Federal prosecutors on Monday charged Mohmed Ali and Majed Mahmoud, both 20 and residents of Dearborn, Michigan, in connection with the same plot. According to court filings, the plan involved targeting LGBT nightclubs in Ferndale, Michigan. Investigators say the suspects stockpiled weapons, practiced shooting, and scouted potential attack sites. A juvenile and other unidentified accomplices were also referenced in the criminal complaint.

Authorities allege the group code-named their operation “Pumpkin” and drew inspiration from previous mass-casualty radical Islamic terror attacks, including the 2016 Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando and the 2015 Bataclan concert hall attack in Paris. During raids last Friday, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents recovered numerous firearms, tactical equipment, and more than 1,600 rounds of ammunition from the homes of Ali and Mahmoud, as well as from a shared storage unit. Both men are being held without bail and are scheduled for detention hearings in Detroit on Monday. Court appearances for Jimenez-Guzal and Sederat have not yet been set.

Last year, an Afghan national, Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi, pleaded guilty to conspiring to provide support to Islamic State (ISIS) in a planned Election Day attack after entering the U.S. through a Special Immigrant Visa program. He was also reported to have previously worked with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

Earlier in 2024, authorities arrested 18-year-old Alexander Scott Mercurio of Idaho for allegedly plotting an ISIS-inspired attack on local churches, intending to use firearms and firebombs.

Somali-American Fails in Bid to Become Wokest Mayor.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Omar Fateh, a far-left Democrat, lost his bid to become the Mayor of Minneapolis to fellow Democrat Jacob Frey by six percentage points.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Omar Fateh, Jacob Frey, and 13 other candidates, including DeWayne Davis and Jazz Hampton.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Election results were released on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

💬KEY QUOTE: “While this wasn’t the outcome we wanted, I am incredibly grateful to every single person who supported our grassroots campaign. I’ll keep fighting alongside you to build the city we deserve. Onward.” – Omar Fateh

🎯IMPACT: Jacob Frey secures a third term as mayor, continuing his moderate approach to governance and rejecting the more progressive policies championed by Fateh.

IN FULL

Omar Fateh, a 30-year-old Somali-background Minnesota state senator and far-left Democrat, has lost his campaign to become mayor of Minneapolis. Fateh was defeated by incumbent Jacob Frey, 44, who secured reelection by about six percentage points, according to results released on November 5.

Frey, who will now serve a third term, ran on a platform focused on what he called “good, thoughtful governance that listens to data, research, and experts to deliver real results.” He was endorsed by Minnesota Governor and failed vice presidential candidate Tim Walz.

Fateh, who sought to become Minneapolis’s first Muslim and Somali-American mayor, addressed supporters in a statement on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “While this wasn’t the outcome we wanted, I am incredibly grateful to every single person who supported our grassroots campaign. I’ll keep fighting alongside you to build the city we deserve. Onward.”

A progressive activist in the state legislature, Fateh’s campaign was often compared to that of Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic Socialist just elected Mayor of New York City. However, Fateh’s early support for the “defund the police” movement and his left-leaning positions, which Mamdani shared but deemphasized on the campaign trail, may have turned away moderate voters.

Fateh’s loss is particularly significant for Minnesota’s Somali-American community, one of the largest in the United States, with an estimated 70,000 to 90,000 residents, most living in the Twin Cities area. Members of the Somali community have been subjects of controversy in recent years, including a Minneapolis resident who was recently sentenced to 30 years in prison for their role in a 2012 kidnapping of American journalist Michael Scott Moore off the coast of Somalia. The U.S. Department of Justice identified former pirate Abdi Yusuf Hassan as a naturalized U.S. citizen of Minneapolis.

Another Somali from Minnesota, Guhaad Hashi Said, a former political operative linked to Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering in connection with a pandemic-era food program scam earlier this year.

The Minneapolis Police Department in late 2024 swore in its first Somali-American woman officer and its first non-citizen officer, following changes in state law that allow legal residents who are not U.S. citizens to serve.

Minnesota adopted a new state flag in 2024, a process driven by woke complaints that the previous design, featuring an American Indian on horseback and a white settler plowing land, was offensive. Critics complained the new design resembles a Somali flag.

‘Nothing Changes’—Border Czar Homan Vows NYC Immigration Raids Will Continue.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Tom Homan, President Donald J. Trump’s Border Czar, announced that immigration raids in New York City will continue despite the election of anti-borders Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani as city mayor.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Tom Homan, Zohran Mamdani, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

📍WHEN & WHERE: New York City, following Mamdani’s mayoral victory on Tuesday.

💬KEY QUOTE: “We will continue operations. Nothing changes.” – Tom Homan

🎯IMPACT: The Trump administration plans to maintain immigration enforcement operations, challenging Mayor-elect Mamdani’s sanctuary city policies.

IN FULL

President Donald J. Trump’s Border Czar, Tom Homan, has vowed to press ahead with immigration enforcement operations in New York City following Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani’s victory in Tuesday’s mayoral race. Mamdani, himself a Ugandan immigrant, has pledged to maintain the city’s “sanctuary” status, hindering local law enforcement from cooperating with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

“We will continue operations. Nothing changes,” Homan said Wednesday. Homan, who previously served as acting ICE director, has been a central figure in the administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration, emphasizing a focus on detaining migrants with criminal records.

So far this year, there has been a surge in ICE arrests targeting offenders accused of serious crimes. In June, ICE conducted nationwide raids that resulted in the detention of hundreds of immigrants charged with offenses including rape, murder, and child exploitation. In Boston, coordinated operations led to nearly 370 arrests, with more than half of those detained facing serious criminal charges or convictions. Homan has also highlighted the administration’s broader goal of raising ICE’s daily arrest capacity to about 7,000 through additional funding, a plan he said would “turbocharge” enforcement.

Homan has pointed to a massive decrease in daily illegal border crossings since Trump appointed him earlier this year, crediting tougher enforcement policies and cooperation with Border Patrol units.

Mayor-elect Mamdani, meanwhile, has condemned ICE as a “rogue agency” and accused it of targeting immigrants unfairly. He has proposed allocating $100 million in taxpayer funds to provide legal defense for illegal immigrants, describing the plan as a “cornerstone” of his administration and pledging to “stop ICE agents from deporting our neighbors.”
