Newsweek, the Daily Beast, and National Review have all peddled the false information that Tucker Carlson, formerly of Fox News, is in cahoots with Russian state television, apparently airing a show called Tucker. No such show appears to exist, however, with Rossiya 24, a state-owned station, simply lifting clips from Tucker Carlson’s YouTube page and airing them with Russian-language dubbing.
The false information appears to have emanated from Ukraine’s Institute of Mass Information, then regurgitated by Ukraine Pravda, and finally ended up in far-left and neoconservative websites in the United States. Newsweek has a distinct problem with publishing easily debunked false information in recent months.
Tucker Carlson Network investor Neil Patel tweeted on Tuesday afternoon: “The Tucker Carlson Network has not done any deals with state media in any country. Whoever is currently pretending to be the old Newsweek brand would know that if they had checked with us before printing like news companies are supposed to do.”
The National Pulse reached out to Tucker directly, though has not heard back at the time of publication.
