Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi informed Joe Biden that he is dragging down the Democratic Party last week. “The [former] speaker does not want to call on him to resign, but she will do everything in her power to make sure it happens,” a source close to the former Democrat Speaker told POLITICO.
“There’s nothing subtle about Nancy. She starts with the question: ‘What’s it take to win?’ Then works backwards,” said another source.
The National Pulse has previously reported that Pelosi is orchestrating the Democratic lawmakers’ pressure campaign calling for Biden to step aside. Her Russia hoaxer protege, Adam Schiff, has already gone public with a call for the incumbent to pass the torch before the November election.
Meanwhile, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries have approached Biden privately, raising concerns about his ability to win and insinuating he will damage the Democrats’ down-ballot performance in Congress.
Publicly, Pelosi’s position is that it is “up to the President to decide if he is going to run” and that “we’re all encouraging him to make that decision because time is running short… and people want him to make that decision.”
Pelosi’s remarks came after Biden had already reiterated his intention to run for re-election, strongly implying that she believes he should revisit this decision and exit the race.
