Joe Biden‘s youngest brother, Francis ‘Frank’ Biden, is being attacked by the President’s family for suggesting health issues contributed to his decision to abandon the presidential race.
“I am incredibly proud of my brother. Selfishly, I will have him back to enjoy whatever time we have left. He is a genuine hero; country over self. It sounds corny in our cynical political environment but [neither] he nor I are cynical. The goal remains the same: defeat Trump and continue the work that Joe has done. My hope is that our party rallies around this heroic act,” Frank Biden told CBS.
CBS asked if Frank believes his older brother’s “overall health and vitality” played a role in his decision to step aside. Frank responded, “In my humble opinion, absolutely.”
In response to this generous statement, a “Biden family source” tore into the President’s younger brother, saying: “Frank Biden suffers from alcoholism and hasn’t spoken to his brother in weeks. What he said… is completely untrue.”
Joe Biden portrays himself as a Catholic family man but deals with relatives who cross him ruthlessly. He refused to even acknowledge the existence of his granddaughter Navy, born to a stripper his son Hunter had an affair with until the liberal press attacked him for his callousness towards the child earlier this year.
The animosity between Biden and Michelle Obama over the Biden family’s mistreatment of Hunter’s wronged ex-wife Kathleen Buhle also resulted in the Obamas withholding stronger support for his reelection bid.
Biden’s closest confidantes as he attempted to remain in the presidential race over recent weeks have been First Lady Jill Biden and Hunter, a convicted felon and former crack addict.
