Conservative lawyer Mike Davis issued a strong warning to New York Attorney General Letitia James regarding her targeting President-elect Donald Trump. In a recent interview on The Benny Show podcast, Davis stated that any continued “lawfare” against Trump, which he believes infringes on the former president’s constitutional rights, could lead to serious consequences for James.
Davis, who established the Article III Project, a group focused on opposing perceived partisan legal maneuvers and advocating the appointment of conservative judges, made his comments following Election Day. “Listen here, sweetheart, we’re not messing around this time, and we will put your fat ass in prison for conspiracy against rights. And I promise you that,” he said.
In a separate interview with Newsmax, Davis elaborated on potential legal repercussions for James. “Number one, you’re about to get reversed on appeal by even Democrat-appointed judges on the New York Appellate Court for your bogus lawsuit against President Trump,” he said, reiterating: “Number two, you better be careful, because when you politicize and weaponize law enforcement against your political enemies, you are engaged in a very serious federal civil rights felony called ‘conspiracy against rights’ under 18 U.S. Code § 241.”
There is speculation that Davis might be considered for the position of U.S. Attorney General in Trump’s administration.
The Biden-Harris Justice Department is already set to abandon the Jack Smith-led federal prosecutions of the President-elect in light of his election victory.
