This gives Rubio a favorable outlook for confirmation, as he will only require a simple majority of 51 senators. Fetterman’s support indicates potential bipartisan backing, even if limited.

In a public statement, Fetterman addressed his decision on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). He acknowledged the inherent political differences expected from nominees selected by the opposing party. Nonetheless, Fetterman expressed confidence in Rubio’s capabilities, stating, “my colleague [Marco Rubio] is a strong choice and I look forward to voting for his confirmation.”
Unsurprisingly, the other team’s pick will have political differences than my own.
Fetterman has emerged as a quasi-heterodox Democrat, often bucking the party line on foreign policy—especially regarding his support for Israel.
During the 2024 presidential election, as Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign struggled in Pennsylvania, it leaned heavily on Fetterman in an effort to win over working-class voters. Despite Fetterman entering the fray, Trump won the critical swing state.

Trump himself remaining neutral.

LaCivita’s paid social media campaign sought to misrepresent Bannon’s efforts to get Epstein on the record for a documentary titled The Monsters, which he was producing alongside Victory Films. During the filming, Epstein claimed he was a supporter of the “Time’s Up” and “Me Too” movements, which Bannon called – to his face – “a sop” to excuse “all of the depravity you’ve done against young women.”

LaCivita serves as a senior advisor to the pro-Cornyn super PAC, Texans for a Conservative Majority, while pollster Tony Fabrizio is also working for the Cornyn campaign.
The text message—which misspells “lackey”—is revealing, suggesting that the recent anti-Bannon push by some pro-Trump social media figures is likely tied not just to LaCivita but to Cornyn’s reelection operation itself. Bannon has been making a strong case for voters to back Paxton over both Cornyn and Hunt, arguing, “The Paxton situation is critical, because he has been the MAGA guy since Day One. He is a symbol of the heart of the grassroots MAGA movement.”
Notably, early voting in the Texas Republican primary ends on February 27, while in-person voting on election day will occur on March 3, 2026. At the start of early voting last week, some polls showed Cornyn had fallen to third place in the race, a position that would eliminate him as a candidate should the primary contest move to a runoff.

“I can’t believe what I found since I’ve been in this department. I just found the other day a whole room on this campus that was a secret SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) secure facility that had files nobody knew existed. So we just happened to have an employee walk by a door and wonder what it was, and started asking questions,” Noem revealed on a recent episode of the PBD Podcast hosted by Patrick Bet-David. She went on to state that Elon Musk and his team helped uncover the unauthorized surveillance software: “They helped me identify that some of my own employees in my department had downloaded software on my phone and my laptop to spy on me to record our meetings.”
Regarding the secret SCIF, Noem explained, “We went in there. There was individuals working there that had secret files that nobody knew about on some of these most controversial topics like that, and now I’ve got that turned over to attorneys, and we’re getting to the bottom of what exactly happened there.”
Noem further stated that the spyware had been installed on the devices of “several of the politicals, and so we ended up bringing in people, and that was something that if you didn’t have those technology experts here in the department looking at all of our laptops and our phones and recognizing that kind of software, it would still be happening today.”

Early on Friday morning, the statue of wartime Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill in London’s Parliament Square was vandalized with graffiti phrases including “Zionist War Criminal”, “Globalise the Intifada”, and “Free Palestine.” The Metropolitan Police arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of racially aggravated criminal damage shortly after the incident was reported at 4:00 AM.
Officers arrived at the scene within two minutes. The statue was subsequently cordoned off and cleaned later that morning. A Dutch group called Free the Filton 24 claimed responsibility, posting a video on Instagram that appeared to show a man identified as Olax Outis defacing the statue.
This is not the first time the wartime prime minister’s statue has been targeted. During the Black Lives Matter disorder in 2020, it was regularly vandalized by agitators, often with accusations of racism. Other statues in Parliament Square were also targeted, including one depicting Abraham Lincoln.
The 12-foot monument, created by Ivor Roberts-Jones and unveiled in 1973 by Lady Churchill, is one of 12 statues in Parliament Square. It commemorates Churchill’s leadership during World War II and serves as a symbol of British history and values—which are being treated with increasing disregard in London, a hyper-diverse city where only an estimated 36.8 percent of the population is White British.

Labour, which previously held the seat with a large majority, saw its vote share collapse following the recent resignation of its MP over anti-Semitic messages. The Reform Party, led by Nigel Farage, fielded Matthew Goodwin – a well known academic and TV presenter – who finished a strong second.
The results were as follows:
A total of 36,814 valid votes were cast.
The Green Party’s strategy included campaigning in Urdu and Bengali and relying on postal voting. The victory is comparable to the Democratic Socialists of America outperforming the Democratic Party in the US.
Meanwhile, an anti-Reform Party, right-wing splinter group, ‘Advance UK,’ garnered fewer votes than the satirical Monster Raving Loony Party – achieving just 154 votes, or 0.4 percent.

Hillary Clinton appeared before the House Oversight Committee on Thursday to testify about her connections to Jeffrey Epstein. The closed-door session, held at the Chappaqua Performing Arts Center near her home in New York, saw Clinton repeatedly denying she had ever met Epstein, who supported the Clinton Foundation and lent it the use of his private jet, in person, while attempting to deflect allegations on others.
During the closed-door deposition, the former First Lady and wife of Epstein associate Bill Clinton, attempted to derail the questioning by pointing to an email exchange from 2012 in which Elon Musk asked Epstein about when to attend the “wildest party” on his private island. The National Pulse previously reported that in a November 25, 2012, email, Musk replied to a question from Epstein about how many people he planned to bring to the island, writing: “Probably just Talulah and me. What day/night will be the wildest party on =our [sic] island?” At that time, Musk was married to British actress Talulah Riley.
In a 2019 interview, Musk described Epstein as “obviously a creep” and said he repeatedly declined invitations to visit Epstein’s properties. However, the recently released Department of Justice (DOJ) files revealed cordial exchanges between the two men, including references to a potential SpaceX tour.
Clinton also accused Republicans of using the investigation to shield President J. Donald Trump, stating, “You have compelled me to testify, fully aware that I have no knowledge that would assist your investigation, in order to distract attention from President Trump’s actions and to cover them up despite legitimate calls for answers.”
Notably, the session was briefly disrupted when Representative Lauren Boebert (R-CO) took a photograph of Clinton, which was subsequently leaked online. Attorneys for Clinton demanded that the proceedings be halted, but the deposition resumed within an hour.
The Clintons initially resisted the subpoena to testify but agreed after being threatened with contempt charges. The committee, led by Republican lawmakers, has indicated it will release deposition videos and transcripts following legal review. U.S. District Court Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly—elevated by former President Bill Clinton but first appointed to the bench by former President Ronald Reagan—ruled on Thursday that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) unlawfully granted U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) access to around 43,000 addresses contained in its records. The disclosure, according to the federal government, was part of an effort to integrate and share data across agencies.
“In other words, the IRS not only failed to ensure that ICE’s request for confidential taxpayer address information met the statutory requirements, but this failure led the IRS to disclose confidential taxpayer addresses to ICE in situations where ICE’s request for that information was patently deficient,” Judge Kollar-Kotelly wrote in her ruling. The decision is a significant blow to the Trump administration’s efforts to streamline intra-federal government data sharing, especially when it pertains to information that could assist federal immigration officials with identifying and detaining illegal immigrants.
Kollar-Kotelly’s ruling follows an earlier order issued by the judge in November that prohibited the Trump White House’s data-sharing policies. Notably, that ruling has been appealed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.

According to Dorsey, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), over 4,000 of the company’s approximately 10,000 employees will be impacted by the layoffs, with their workloads apparently being replaced by artificial intelligence (AI) tools.
“Today we’re making one of the hardest decisions in the history of our company: We’re reducing our organization by nearly half, from over 10,000 people to just under 6,000. that means over 4,000 of you are being asked to leave or entering into consultation,” Dorsey wrote in a message to Block employees. The former Twitter CEO went on to explain, “We’re not making this decision because we’re in trouble. Our business is strong… but something has changed. We’re already seeing that the intelligence tools we’re creating and using, paired with smaller and flatter teams, are enabling a new way of working which fundamentally changes what it means to build and run a company.”
Notably, Block, Inc.’s stock value surged on the news, jumping over 20 percent in after-market trading. Dorsey stated, “I had two options: cut gradually over months or years as this shift plays out, or be honest about where we are and act on it now. I chose the latter. Repeated rounds of cuts are destructive to morale, to focus, and to the trust that customers and shareholders place in our ability to lead.”
“I’d rather take a hard, clear action now and build from a position we believe in than manage a slow reduction of people toward the same outcome. A smaller company also gives us the space to grow our business the right way, on our own terms, instead of constantly reacting to market pressures,” he wrote.
