Former talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and partner Portia de Rossi have reportedly relocated to the Cotswolds in the United Kingdom. This move follows President-elect Donald J. Trump’s recent election victory over Kamala Harris. According to DeGeneres, the decision to leave the United States stems from dissatisfaction with the political climate—namely Trump’s re-election. The Cotswolds property purchase reportedly occurred before the election, though exact details remain unclear.
Largely driven out of Hollywood and show business following a string of allegations regarding her perpetuation of a toxic work environment, DeGeneres says she intends to sell her California residence in Montecito. Despite her reputation in the studio, DeGeneres has tried to integrate into the local Cotswolds social scene, where she has been spotted at various exclusive gatherings in the area.

One such event in November 2023 featured DeGeneres joining actor Idris Elba in a DJ booth at a North Oxfordshire stately home party. Recently, she was seen at Jeremy Clarkson’s Farmer’s Dog pub, accompanied by Rossi and singer James Blunt, as shown in a video shared by Lisa Hogan on Instagram.
DeGeneres had previously expressed strong support for Kamala Harris, urging women to vote in the election. Her criticism of Trump’s political views was well-documented, with remarks in 2017 stating that his policies contradicted her principles. She is not the only celebrity considering a move abroad due to political concerns. Actress Eva Longoria has also announced plans to leave the U.S., opting to split her time between Spain and Mexico, citing Trump’s return to the presidency as her reason.

Hunter Nadeau, a 23-year-old man arrested for opening fire on a wedding reception at New Hampshire‘s Sky Meadow Country Club—killing one man and wounding two others, with additional attendees injured while attempting to flee—reportedly yelled, “Free Palestine” during the attack. Robert Steven DeCesare, 59 years old, was killed, with at least one witness claiming he appeared to be Nadeau’s intended target.
Following the attack, Nadeau was arrested and charged with murder. The gunman is set to appear in court later today. Despite witness statements, New Hampshire police have stated that there is no known connection between Nadeau and DeCesare.
The uncle of the groom, Tom Bartelson, recounted the attack, stating, “The shooter just came out and said, ‘The children are safe,’ and, ‘Free Palestine.’ We heard about six shots and everybody ducked for cover, and next thing you know, we’re rushed into safe spots.”
New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella (R) noted that Nadeau previously worked at the Sky Meadow Country Club for around one year. Despite the alleged “Free Palestine” comment, Formella claimed that, “At this point, the evidence leads us to believe it is more likely that Mr. Nadeau was simply trying to make a number of statements to create chaos in the moment,” adding: “We don’t have any evidence to indicate this was a hate-based act.”
Evie O’Rourke, DeCesare’s mother, described her son’s actions during the attack as heroic, saying, “He kicked the door open, and Rob just went right for him and protected his family… boy, is he going to be missed.”

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Anibal Hernandez-Santana, who has a history of radical left output on social media, was arrested by Sacramento Police but later released. He was subsequently taken into custody by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
📍WHEN & WHERE: The incident occurred on Friday afternoon at the ABC10 building on the 400 block of Broadway in Sacramento.
💬KEY QUOTE: “This is unacceptable behavior. It’s not going to be tolerated in Sacramento,” said Anthony Gamble, a public information officer for the Sacramento Police Department.
🎯IMPACT: The shooting follows the suspension of Jimmy Kimmel by ABC for making false statements about Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder Charlie Kirk’s suspected assassin; however, the motive for the shooting remains under investigation, and any connection is purely speculative as of the time of publication.
IN FULL
A man identified as Anibal Hernandez-Santana, 64—accused of firing gunshots at the KXTV ABC10 station—is expected to appear in federal court on Monday. Sacramento police responded to the 400 block of Broadway just after 1:30 PM on Friday following reports of shots being fired. Upon arrival, officers found that at least three rounds had struck the building, hitting a window. No injuries were reported in the incident.
The Sacramento Police Department classified the incident as a drive-by shooting, stating that a vehicle drove by the building, fired shots, and then fled the scene. Hernandez-Santana was arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, shooting into an occupied building, and negligent discharge of a firearm, but still released on $200,000 bail. However, he was later taken into custody by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on suspicion of willfully or maliciously interfering with a radio communications station.
Anthony Gamble, a public information officer for the Sacramento Police Department, said, “This is unacceptable behavior… It’s not going to be tolerated in Sacramento.”
Molly McMahon, a spokesman for Tegna, the parent company of ABC10, stated, “While details are still limited, importantly all of our employees are safe and unharmed. We are fully cooperating with law enforcement and have taken additional measures to ensure the continued safety of our employees.”
Notably, an examination of Hernandez-Santana’s social media found an extensive history of far-left political views, suggesting the shooting could have been inspired by the Democratic Party’s violent political rhetoric, or possibly ABC‘s suspension of late-night host Jimmy Kimmel over false statements regarding the assassination of Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder Charlie Kirk.
In one post, Hernandez-Santana stated he would support the death penalty for Kirk’s assassin, 22-year-old leftist Tyler Robinson, only if President Donald J. Trump faced the death penalty for “insurrection.” Hernandez-Santana appeared to celebrate Kirk’s assassination in another post, writing sarcastically: “I think the word empathy, that made up New Age term, did a lot of damage to CK’s carotid artery.”
The suspected gunman also wished death upon President Trump just four days ago, writing in a post on X (formerly Twitter): “Where is a good heart attack when we need it the most?? Please Join in my thoughts and prayers for the physical demise of our fearful leader.”

📍WHEN & WHERE: The incident occurred on Saturday, during Riot Fest in Chicago.
🎯IMPACT: The event has reignited discussions about violent political rhetoric in public performances.
IN FULL
During Riot Fest in Chicago, Illinois, this past weekend, heavy metal band Gwar performed a gruesome beheading stunt involving effigies made to resemble President Donald J. Trump and former Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) frontman Elon Musk. One dummy was dressed in Musk’s signature DOGE shirt and jacket, and the onstage act included fake blood spraying into the audience.
In addition to the Musk dummy, a similar stunt involved a dummy of President Trump being disemboweled.
The stunt is drawing criticism in light of growing concerns over political violence. On September 10, Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder Charlie Kirk was assassinated, allegedly by 22-year-old leftist Tyler Robinson, while speaking at Utah Valley University. On Sunday, a day after Gwar’s gruesome mock execution of Musk and Trump, over 100,000 people gathered in Arizona to pay tribute to Kirk. The memorial event was attended by both President Trump and Musk, with the former speaking on his friendship with Kirk to close out the service.
Although Gwar has a history of similar theatrical performances, previously beheading a dummy of former President Joe Biden, violent political statements have come under increasing public and government scrutiny since Kirk’s assassination. Late last week, President Trump designated Antifa as a major terrorist organization. This move expands federal law enforcement capabilities to monitor and investigate Antifa members and groups across the country, as well as enhancing the charges that federal prosecutors can bring.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The policy was announced on Monday morning in Britain.
💬KEY QUOTE: “These changes will lead to hundreds of thousands of people having to apply and ultimately losing their settled status in the UK.” – Zia Yusuf
🎯IMPACT: The proposed policy could reverse the unprecedented influx of legal immigrants under former British prime ministers Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak, should Farage’s party win the next British general election.
IN FULL
Nigel Farage’s Reform Party has pledged to scrap the Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) immigration system, which allows immigrants to settle in the United Kingdom permanently after just five years, to stop the “Boriswave” migrant influx under former prime ministers Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak from becoming irreversible. Instead, Farage proposes a temporary visa system where immigrants must renew their permission to stay every five years.
The ILR reforms are to be paired with changes to the British welfare system, so that only British citizens are eligible for government support. Reform believes this will save taxpayers around £234 billion (~$316 billion) and encourage many migrants who are dependent on state handouts to self-deport.
LIVE: Reform UK announces plan to abolish Indefinite Leave to Remain and avert the Boriswave. 🚨 https://t.co/qiI3ykCGgR
Reform policy chief Zia Yusuf confirmed the immigration reforms will mean “hundreds of thousands of people having to apply and ultimately losing their settled status in the United Kingdom, which will be done on a staggered and orderly basis to allow businesses to train British workers to replace them.” He added that many immigrants who rely on welfare should leave on their own, while those who do not could face deportation.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan, of Britain’s governing, far-left Labour Party, called Reform’s plans “unacceptable,” insisting that migrants with ILR are valuable “friends, neighbours, and colleagues.”
According to 2021 Census data, at least 40 percent of London’s population is foreign-born, and an even higher percentage of residents have a recent migration background, with only 36.8 percent falling under the ‘White British’ category. Many immigrant groups in the city are heavily dependent on welfare; for instance, 74 percent of Somalis live in public housing.
Reform has been polling in first place consistently, with the government required to hold another general election at some point between the present day and 2029 at the latest.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The trial begins Monday in Alexandria, Virginia, and is expected to extend through November.
🎯IMPACT: The case could lead to a breakup of Google’s ad technology, potentially upturning a $305 billion revenue stream which is partially reliant on digital ad sales.
IN FULL
Google is facing a federal trial in Alexandria, Virginia, over allegations that its digital advertising technology constitutes an illegal monopoly. U.S. District Court Judge Leonie Brinkema previously ruled that parts of Google‘s ad network stifled competition and harmed online publishers dependent on advertising revenue.
The trial will determine remedies to restore fair market conditions, with the Department of Justice (DOJ) advocating for a breakup of Google’s ad technology. Google, however, has pushed back, warning that such a move would “invite disruption and damage” to consumers and the broader online ecosystem.
This legal battle follows a similar case involving Google’s search engine, where the DOJ sought significant measures to address its monopoly status. In that instance, U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta opted for less drastic changes, citing advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) technology reshaping the market.
Google’s lawyers have argued that AI-driven innovations by competitors, such as Meta Platforms, are already transforming the digital advertising landscape, making the DOJ’s proposals outdated. The company plans to appeal any adverse rulings once remedies are finalized.
The outcome of this trial could have significant implications for Google’s $305 billion advertising business and the thousands of websites that rely on its ad services for revenue. Judge Brinkema has not set a timeline for her decision, with proceedings expected to continue into November.

🎯IMPACT: The earthquake was widely felt across the Bay Area, but no injuries or significant damage were reported.
IN FULL
Residents of the San Francisco Bay Area were awakened by a magnitude 4.3 earthquake just before 3 AM Monday. The quake, initially reported as a magnitude 4.6 by the United States Geological Survey (USGS), was later downgraded to a 4.4 and then a 4.3. The tremor’s epicenter was near the University of California campus in Berkeley, at a depth of approximately 4.8 miles.
While the earthquake caused items to fall off counters and startled pets, the San Francisco Fire Department confirmed there were no reports of significant damage or injuries. The quake was widely felt across the Bay Area, but no significant structural impacts have been reported as of 5 AM local time.
According to the California Geological Survey, the earthquake occurred near the Hayward fault line, one of the most dangerous fault lines in the region. UC Berkeley’s Seismology Lab notes that the Hayward fault has a 33 percent chance of rupturing in a 6.7 magnitude or greater earthquake before 2043. The Bay Area as a whole faces a 72 percent likelihood of experiencing at least a magnitude 6.7 earthquake within the same time frame.
The National Tsunami Center confirmed via social media that there was no threat of a tsunami following the earthquake. The National Pulse reported in July that Southern California experienced a magnitude 4.4 earthquake in late July, with the epicenter recorded roughly four miles west of Muscoy, California, about 50 miles east of downtown Los Angeles.

In a recent Truth Social post, President Donald Trump expressed his dissatisfaction with Attorney General Pam Bondi. The post included a series of grievances about the lack of action on several legal fronts.
Trump mentioned reviewing over 30 statements and posts that echoed the sentiment of “same old story as last time, all talk, no action.” He expressed frustration over the lack of progress concerning figures like Comey and Adam Schiff.
The former president also criticized the consideration of a “Woke RINO” for a U.S. Attorney position in Virginia, claiming that the individual was pushed by two Democratic Senators and was not fit for the job.
Trump emphasized the importance of taking action to protect reputation and credibility, citing his own experiences with impeachment and indictments. He called for justice to be served immediately.
The post concluded with Trump’s insistence that the situation cannot be delayed any longer, underscoring his demand for immediate legal action.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The IOPC, South Yorkshire Police, whistleblowers Jayne Senior and Angie Heal, and South Yorkshire Mayor Oliver Coppard.
📍WHEN & WHERE: Rotherham, England, with the investigation spanning misconduct from 1997 to 2013 and the updated findings released in 2025.
💬KEY QUOTE: “This report is the only report throughout all of Rotherham that proves that they knew what was happening and did nothing.” – Jayne Senior.
🎯IMPACT: The findings highlight systemic failures within South Yorkshire Police and renew calls for accountability, including potential inclusion of police cover-ups in ongoing investigations.
IN FULL
Britain’s Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has confirmed for the first time that senior officers on the South Yorkshire Police force failed to protect children, mostly white working-class girls, from Muslim grooming gangs in Rotherham, England. The findings follow a 2017 complaint by whistleblowers Jayne Senior and Angie Heal, which the IOPC upheld in 2022. However, its main report into police failures, known as Operation Linden, did not originally include these revelations.
The updated summary released this week defines senior officers as those ranked Chief Superintendent and above. It examined misconduct between 1999 and 2011. Despite the IOPC finally acknowledging serious failures, it still concluded there was “no indication” of criminal offences, such as misconduct in public office, or grounds for disciplinary action. Notably, several of the officers involved in the grooming gangs scandal had already retired and were not legally required to cooperate with the investigation.
The report shows that South Yorkshire Police received intelligence about child sexual exploitation but failed to act. Officers attended meetings where known perpetrators were discussed, yet the same individuals continued abusing girls for years. Some of those men were not convicted until 2016, more than a decade after they were first identified. Meetings intended to address child sexual exploitation often prioritized other issues, and there were consistent failures in sharing intelligence and conducting vehicle checks that might have led to earlier intervention.
There is widespread acceptance that British police officers avoided acting against grooming gangs because their members were mostly Muslims, largely of Pakistani heritage, and their victims were mostly white, and so officers were afraid of both being accused of racism by the groomers and of potentially encouraging racism by drawing attention to ethnic minorities targeting white children.
Whistleblower Jayne Senior said, “This report is the only report throughout all of Rotherham that proves that they knew what was happening and did nothing.”
Rotherham Member of Parliament (MP) Sarah Champion has urged the National Crime Agency (NCA) to expand its inquiry into grooming gangs to include potential police cover-ups.
These revelations come as grooming gang cases continue to make headlines. For instance, Obaidullah Omari was convicted this year for raping two underage girls in the early 2000s. Concerns also remain over the early release of convicted abusers like Asghar Bostan and Basharat Hussain, whose cases have sparked public outrage.

💬KEY QUOTE: “We’ve rescued thousands of children, and President Trump is committed, I’m committed, that we’re not gonna stop looking for these children ’til we find every single one of them or run down the leads on them.” – Tom Homan
🎯IMPACT: Thousands of children have been rescued, and the Biden government’s vetting system for sponsors has been criticized for enabling trafficking and abuse, with federal whistleblowers exposing significant failures.
IN FULL
The Trump administration has located approximately 25,000 migrant children who were previously unaccounted for after entering the United States alone during former President Joe Biden’s term, according to Border Czar Tom Homan. The children had gone missing after being released into the country under a flawed sponsor vetting system.
According to a report from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) inspector general, around 320,000 unaccompanied migrant children were released to sponsors between October 2018 and September 2023. As of May 2024, roughly 291,000 of them were never assigned future immigration court dates, making it nearly impossible for authorities to track their whereabouts. An additional 32,000 children who received court dates failed to appear.
While some of the missing children were found hiding with relatives to avoid deportation, many were discovered in dangerous and abusive situations. “They were enslaved to work ungodly hours, not going to school… not being paid, being abused,” Homan said. “We’ve rescued thousands of children, and President Trump is committed, I’m committed, that we’re not gonna stop looking for these children ’til we find every single one of them or run down the leads on them.”
Homan also confirmed that 27 of the children were found to have died.
Migrant children released under the Biden-Harris administration were effectively “lost,” with no oversight or follow-up. Internal whistleblowers from HHS have come forward alleging systemic failures in the vetting process used to place children with sponsors. One whistleblower told a Senate panel that she faced retaliation after reporting that children were being sent to non-relatives or individuals with signs of trafficking or abuse.
Another whistleblower, Deborah White, testified that the government and its contractors were complicit in endangering children by failing to ensure proper placement. “Children were not going to their parents. Children were being trafficked with billions of taxpayer dollars by a contractor failing to vet sponsors and process children safely, with government officials complicit in it,” she said.
White also described how staff were discouraged from investigating red flags and that fake identification documents were common. “We never saw sponsors face-to-face, and fake documents were rampant,” she said. “When we questioned documents… leadership said, ‘You’re not a fake ID expert, and your job is not to investigate the sponsor. Your job is to reunify the child with the sponsor.’”
Attempts to contact foreign consulates or follow up on children’s welfare were reportedly met with reprimands.

Federal and local law enforcement are on high alert ahead of Charlie Kirk’s memorial service this Sunday in Glendale, Arizona. The event is expected to draw a large crowd and several high-profile attendees, including President Donald J. Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance. Notably, a law enforcement bulletin warns of potential threats from “violent extremists and unaffiliated lone offenders” who may view the funeral as a target due to its national attention.
The U.S. Secret Service (USSS), which has been designated as the Federal Coordinator for the event, has already deployed teams to Phoenix and Glendale. “Our teams are already on the ground in Phoenix and Glendale, working side-by-side with state, local, and federal partners,” said Special Agent in Charge William Mack.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has classified the funeral as a Special Event Assessment Rating Level 1, a designation reserved for events of the highest national importance.
The service will be held at State Farm Stadium, with doors opening at 8 AM and the ceremony scheduled to begin at 11 AM. President Donald J. Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are expected to attend and deliver remarks, alongside Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk.
Local police have warned against overnight camping in the stadium’s parking lot, and event organizers have implemented strict security protocols, including a no-bag policy. Attendees are advised to expect long wait times and are encouraged to wear red, white, or blue. In lieu of flowers, donations are being directed to Turning Point USA, the conservative youth organization Kirk founded.
Kirk, a prominent conservative activist and media personality, was assassinated last week while speaking at Utah Valley University. The suspect, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, is facing capital murder charges and could face the death penalty. Prosecutors allege Robinson was radicalized by the left online and targeted Kirk for political reasons. In court filings, investigators cited text messages in which Robinson allegedly confessed to the killing, telling his transgender partner, Lance Twiggs, that he had “had enough of [Kirk’s] hatred.”
Stephen K. Bannon has voiced doubts about the official narrative on Kirk’s assassination, calling the text message evidence “too much like a script—actually, like a bad script.”
