Trump Blasts Diversity Hiring & Ex-Transport Sec Pete Buttigieg in DCA Crash Briefing at White House.

President Donald J. Trump spent a significant amount of time at the White House Press Briefing room lectern on Thursday morning, railing against “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI) policies that have lumbered American institutions, including the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) with vast numbers of unqualified staff.

The President initially called for a moment of silence before recalling details of the deadly incident over the Potomac River on Wednesday night and laying out the details of those who had lost their lives, currently believed to be 67 people.

Trump also took the time to muse on the causes of the incident, highlighting the Biden government’s focus on DEI instead of passenger safety and specifically pointing out the “bullshit” of former Transport Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

In January 2024, it was revealed that “[t]he Federal Aviation Administration is actively recruiting workers who suffer “severe intellectual” disabilities, psychiatric problems and other mental and physical conditions under a diversity and inclusion hiring initiative spelled out on the agency’s website.

“Targeted disabilities are those disabilities that the Federal government, as a matter of policy, has identified for special emphasis in recruitment and hiring,” the FAA’s website states. “They include hearing, vision, missing extremities, partial paralysis, complete paralysis, epilepsy, severe intellectual disability, psychiatric disability, and dwarfism.”

President Trump was joined by new Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and new Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who both extended their condolences and blasted the previous government’s DEI hiring policies.

Hegseth explained there was an “elevation issue” involved with the routine military re-training operation, insisting that many different parts of government are now investigating the incident with a view to getting answers in the near term.

Dem States Are Suing Trump to Keep Medicaid Flowing to Illegals.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: California and 19 other states sued the Trump administration over the transfer of Medicaid data to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for immigration enforcement purposes.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: California Attorney General Rob Bonta, DHS, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), President Donald J. Trump, DHS and HHS Secretaries Kristi Noem and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

📍WHEN & WHERE: July 2025, U.S. District Court, Northern District of California

💬KEY QUOTE: “This isn’t about cutting waste or going after fraud. This is about going after vulnerable people,” claims Bonta.

🎯IMPACT: Lawsuit challenges federal surveillance using state Medicaid data, with national implications for immigration and healthcare policy.

IN FULL

A coalition of 20 states led by Governor Gavin Newsom’s California filed a federal lawsuit this week against the Trump administration, accusing the Departments of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Homeland Security (DHS) of unlawfully sharing Medicaid data with immigration enforcement officials. The lawsuit, filed in the Northern District of California, alleges millions of individuals’ health information was transferred without consent, supposedly violating privacy laws.

According to the complaint, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services handed over data from state-run Medicaid programs—including those in California, Illinois, and Washington—to DHS and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This data reportedly included names, addresses, immigration status, Social Security numbers, and claims records, to help prevent federal funding from being awarded to illegal aliens and ineligible noncitizens.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta claimed the Trump administration is using Medicaid as a weapon to enforce anti-immigration policies, stating, “They’re threatening the personal health data of 78.4 million individuals who are enrolled in Medicaid and CHIP for their mass surveillance and federal immigration enforcement plans.” Bonta emphasized that this was the 28th lawsuit California has filed against the Trump administration in just 23 weeks.

HHS defended its actions, with spokesman Andrew Nixon stating the interagency data sharing was lawful and aimed at preventing misuse of federal Medicaid funds. “This oversight effort… is focused on identifying waste, fraud, and systemic abuse,” Nixon said, adding that emergency Medicaid eligibility remains legally intact for illegal immigrants as authorized by Congress.

BREAKING: Diddy Found NOT GUILTY of Most Serious Charges.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Sean “Diddy” Combs has been found not guilty of three out of the five charges against him in a federal sex-trafficking trial, including the most serious racketeering and sex trafficking allegations.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Sean Combs, Combs’s former girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, Jane (pseudonym), Judge Arun Subramanian, Prosecutor Maurene Comey.

📍WHEN & WHERE: July 2025, Southern District of New York.

🎯IMPACT: Combs still faces prison time after being found guilty of two Mann Act violations.

IN FULL

A federal jury in the Southern District of New York found Sean “Diddy” Combs, a.k.a. Puff Daddy, not guilty of the most serious charges against him in a federal sex-trafficking trial. The verdict was delivered Wednesday after jurors had recessed the day prior without reaching consensus on the most severe charge.

Combs was acquitted of count one, racketeering conspiracy, and also found not guilty of the sex trafficking of former girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura and another victim identified by the pseudonym “Jane.” However, he was convicted of two counts of violating the Mann Act, which prohibits the transportation of individuals across state or international borders for the purpose of prostitution, debauchery, or other “immoral purposes,” in relation to the two women.

Judge Arun Subramanian, a Biden appointee, heard arguments on Combs’ detention status after the verdict. Combs’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, argued that since the racketeering and sex trafficking charges did not hold, his client should be released to home detention in Miami and offered a $1 million bond. Combs has been in federal custody for nearly a year.

However, federal prosecutor Maurene Comey, daughter of controversial former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director James Comey, countered that Combs should remain jailed until sentencing for the Mann Act violations. She said the government would pursue the 20-year maximum sentence for these.

Ukraine: Tens of Thousands of North Korean Troops Coming to Help Russia.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: North Korea is preparing to send up to 30,000 additional troops to support Russia’s war in Ukraine, Kiev claims.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: North Korea, Russian Armed Forces, Ukrainian government, U.S. government.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Ukraine and Russia, reported July 2025.

💬KEY QUOTE: “North Korean troops will be used to strengthen the Russian contingent, including during the large-scale offensive operations.” – Ukrainian intelligence assessment

🎯IMPACT: A substantial North Korean deployment woul bolster Russia’s battlefield strength as Ukraine grows increasingly weak.

IN FULL

North Korea is preparing to send as many as 30,000 additional troops to support Russia’s war in Ukraine, according to the government in Kiev. The influx of soldiers would significantly increase Pyongyang’s military involvement, following a previous deployment of roughly 10,000 troops to help beat back a Ukrainian counter-invasion of Russia’s Kursk region.

North Korean troops may be deployed to territories in Ukraine currently under Russian occupation. Ukrainian officials claim the North Koreans would participate in “large-scale offensive operations” alongside Russian forces. Moscow is expected to supply the equipment and weapons needed for the North Korean reinforcements.

The scale of the anticipated deployment signals deepening cooperation between the Kremlin and Pyongyang, at a time when the Trump administration is reportedly moving to pause some shipments of air defense missiles munitions to Ukraine. The former, in particular, have been depleted helping to fend off Iranian strikes against Israel, leaving stockpiles low.

Pro-Ukrainian European governments are unlikely to be able to compensate for a decrease in American aid. The U.S. has provided almost 65 percent of total aid to Ukraine since Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, with Britain, the next biggest contributor, a distant second at under 15 percent.

Under Pressure From Trump, Canada Is Passing a ‘Strong Borders Act.’

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney introduced a sweeping immigration bill after U.S. pressure on border security and fentanyl trafficking.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, U.S. President Donald J. Trump, Canadian Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree, Amnesty International, Migrants Rights Network.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Canada, June 2025.

💬KEY QUOTE: “There were a number of elements in the bill that have been irritants for the U.S., so we are addressing some of those issues.” – Gary Anandasangaree

🎯IMPACT: Bill C-2, a.k.a. the Strong Borders Act, could revoke refugee hearings for thousands, empower mass document cancellations, and realign Canada’s immigration with U.S. demands.

IN FULL

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has introduced the Strong Borders Act (Bill C-2), a 127-page bill poised to overhaul Canada’s immigration framework. The bill includes measures to deny refugee hearings to migrants who have already been in the country for over a year, retroactive to June 2020, and requires asylum seekers arriving between official ports of entry to file within 14 days.

These changes come after U.S. President Donald Trump expressed displeasure over illegal immigrants and fentanyl crossing America’s northern border due to lax Canadian policies. Despite fighting the recent Canadian federal elections on a platform of “standing up” to Trump, Carney’s governing is seemingly being brought to heel by him—having already agreed to suspend a digital sales tax that the America First leader took issue with.

Canadian Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree admitted in a press conference that Bill C-2 was shaped in part by Trump’s expectations. “There are elements that will strengthen [our] relationships with the United States,” he said. “There were a number of elements in the bill that have been irritants for the US, so we are addressing some of those issues.”

Carney’s immigration bill has been met with strong opposition from Amnesty International, the Migrants Rights Network, and other pro-migration NGOs, who complain it will undermine Canada’s pro-migration reputation. Some critics suggest it could invites mass deportations, giving the government’s immigration minister authority to cancel legal documents largely unchecked.

CBS Has Agreed to Pay Trump Millions for Doctoring Kamala Harris Interview.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Paramount has agreed to settle President Donald J. Trump’s lawsuit against CBS, paying $16 million over a doctored Kamala Harris interview.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: President Trump, Paramount, CBS, Kamala Harris, Shari Redstone, David Ellison.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Reported July 2025, United States

💬KEY QUOTE: “CBS and Paramount Global realized the strength of this historic case and had no choice but to settle,” said a spokesman for Trump’s legal team.

🎯IMPACT: Paramount will pay Trump $16 million and release future interview transcripts, while its merger with Skydance remains under FCC review.

IN FULL

Paramount has agreed to pay $16 million to settle a lawsuit filed by President Donald Trump over a doctored 60 Minutes interview with 2024 Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris. Previews of the interview showed disjointed “word salad” answers on foreign policy, but were changed by CBS for shorter, more coherent answers when the interview aired in full.

The settlement includes Trump’s legal fees and costs, and the remaining amount will go toward his presidential library, according to Paramount. The company will also begin releasing full transcripts of 60 Minutes interviews with eligible presidential candidates after they air, with redactions only for legal or national security reasons.

Paramount’s chairwoman, Shari Redstone, supported pursuing a settlement. Analysts speculate that this may have been related to the company’s pending merger with Skydance, which requires Trump administration approval via the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). However, FCC Chairman Brendan Carr has said the lawsuit had no bearing on the merger review process.

This is the second multi-million-dollar settlement Trump has secured this year. Several months ago, ABC News paid $15m in a defamation case against George Stephanopoulos, who falsely claimed Trump was found “liable” for rape during a civil proceeding.

North Korean Remote Workers at U.S. Firms Funneled Millions Into Weapons Programs.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The Department of Justice (DOJ) charged multiple individuals in a scheme where North Korea sent IT workers with fake identities to get remote jobs at U.S. companies. The wages were secretly funneled back to fund North Korea’s weapons program. Several Chinese and Taiwanese nationals were charged, and sensitive U.S. data may have been accessed.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: North Korean government, U.S. tech companies, DOJ.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Monday, June 30, 2025, United States, North Korea, and China.

💬KEY QUOTE: “These schemes target and steal from U.S. companies and are designed to evade sanctions and fund the North Korean regime’s illicit programs, including its weapons programs.” – Assistant Attorney General John Eisenberg

🎯IMPACT: This scheme poses a national security threat, involving financial fraud and corporate espionage risks.

IN FULL

On Monday, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced criminal charges in a scheme by North Korea to fund its weapons program through the salaries of remote information technology (IT) workers employed inadvertently by U.S. companies.

The nationwide operation led to charges and the seizure of financial accounts, websites, and laptops used to execute the fraud. Separate cases in Georgia and Massachusetts exposed that the scheme is generating extensive revenue for North Korea’s government and even supplying workers access to sensitive and proprietary data from the American corporations hiring them.

The North Korean government dispatched thousands of workers with fake or stolen identities to find remote work as IT employees at American companies. These companies believed the workers were hired based in the U.S., when they were actually stationed in North Korea or China. The wages were transferred into accounts controlled by co-conspirators affiliated with North Korea, prosecutors have said.

On Monday, U.S. prosecutors announced the arrest of U.S. national Zhenxing “Danny” Wang of New Jersey. A five-count indictment describes a multi-year fraud scheme by Wang and his co-conspirators to obtain remote IT work with U.S. companies that generated more than $5 million in revenue. The indictment additionally charges six Chinese nationals and two Taiwanese nationals for their roles in the scheme.

Court papers say the conspiracy involved registering financial accounts to receive the proceeds and creating shell companies and fake websites to portray these remote workers as associated with legitimate businesses. Enablers inside the United States facilitated the workers’ remote computer access, creating the illusion that workers were logged in from U.S. locations.

“These schemes target and steal from U.S. companies and are designed to evade sanctions and fund the North Korean regime’s illicit programs, including its weapons programs,” warned Assistant Attorney General John Eisenberg.

Trump DOJ Catches Chinese Agents Spying on U.S. Navy, Trying to Recruit U.S. Servicemen.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Two Chinese nationals, Yuance Chen and Liren Lai, were arrested for spying on the U.S. Navy and acting as unregistered agents of China’s Ministry of State Security.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Yuance Chen, Liren Lai.

📍WHEN & WHERE: June 27, 2025; Houston, Texas and Happy Valley, Oregon

💬KEY QUOTE: “The individuals charged were acting on behalf of a hostile foreign intelligence service—part of the Chinese Communist Party’s broader effort to infiltrate and undermine our institutions,” said FBI Director Kash Patel.

🎯IMPACT: The arrests highlight ongoing Chinese espionage threats and attempts to infiltrate U.S. military institutions.

IN FULL

Two Chinese nationals have been arrested for spying on the U.S. Navy. They are facing charges of allegedly acting as agents for the People’s Republic of China government to collect intelligence from U.S. Navy service members and bases and attempt to recruit military members to carry out tasks for the Ministry of State Security (MSS), China’s main intelligence force. The men are also accused of facilitating a “dead drop” cash payment on the MSS’s behalf.

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) said Chinese nationals Yuance Chen and Liren Lai were arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on Friday, June 27, 2025. They are facing charges of carrying out various clandestine intelligence tasks in the U.S. on behalf of the MSS.

“Today’s arrests reflect the FBI’s unwavering commitment to protecting our national security and safeguarding the integrity of our military,” said FBI Director Kash Patel. “The individuals charged were acting on behalf of a hostile foreign intelligence service—part of the Chinese Communist Party’s broader effort to infiltrate and undermine our institutions. Thanks to outstanding coordination with our partners, including NCIS, we disrupted those efforts and sent a clear message: the United States will not tolerate espionage on American soil. Our counterintelligence operations remain focused, vigilant, and relentless.”

Chen was arrested in Happy Valley, Oregon, and Lai was arrested in Houston, Texas, by the FBI with help from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). Attorney General Pam Bondi commented that the Trump administration would not “stand by while hostile nations embed spies in our country.”

Trans Athlete ‘Lia’ Thomas Loses Swim Titles as UPenn Strikes Deal with Trump.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The University of Pennsylvania has agreed to ban transgender women from its women’s sports teams, resolving a federal civil rights investigation centered on transgender swimmer William “Lia” Thomas.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The University of Pennsylvania, “Lia” Thomas, the U.S. Department of Education, and female athletes.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The resolution was announced on Tuesday, following an investigation launched in February 2025, regarding events during the 2021–2022 season.

💬KEY QUOTE: “The Department commends UPenn for rectifying its past harms against women and girls, and we will continue to fight relentlessly to restore Title IX’s proper application and enforce it to the fullest extent of the law.” – Linda McMahon

🎯IMPACT: The agreement sets a precedent for enforcing biology-based definitions of sex in athletics and pressures other institutions to follow suit.

IN FULL

The University of Pennsylvania has agreed to ban transgender biological males from its women’s sports teams, resolving a federal civil rights investigation centered on former swimmer William “Lia” Thomas. The U.S. Department of Education announced the voluntary agreement Tuesday, stating that Penn violated Title IX by allowing Thomas to compete in women’s events during the 2021–2022 season.

As part of the resolution, Penn will reinstate Division I swimming records and titles to athletes displaced by Thomas’s victories and issue personalized apology letters to each of them, per the Department of Education. The university must adopt “biology-based” definitions of male and female in athletics and publicly commit to barring “males from competing in female athletic programs.”

Education Secretary Linda McMahon called the outcome a “victory for women and girls,” signaling a more aggressive federal stance on enforcing Title IX based on biological sex. She stated: “The Department commends UPenn for rectifying its past harms against women and girls, and we will continue to fight relentlessly to restore Title IX’s proper application and enforce it to the fullest extent of the law.”

Riley Gaines, host of the Gaines for Girls podcast and former University of Kentucky swimmer, expressed her support for the agreement, saying: “From day one, President Trump and Secretary McMahon made it clear that protecting women and girls is a top priority—and today’s agreement with UPenn is proof of that commitment in action.” She added, “This Administration isn’t just talking about women’s equality, but instead actively defending it.”

The agreement pressures other universities and athletic organizations to align with the administration’s interpretation of Title IX. The NCAA’s response, or lack thereof, could shape future legal and policy battles over transgender inclusion in sports.

DOGE Dividend Guru and Trump Ally Forms PAC to Counter Musk.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Investor and Trump ally James Fishback launched the “Full Support for Donald” (FSD) PAC to counter Elon Musk’s political “antics.”

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: James Fishback, Elon Musk, President Donald J. Trump, and key Republican figures.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The FSD PAC was launched on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.

💬KEY QUOTE: “If Elon actually launches a new party to take down Trump, I’m starting a Super PAC to defend the MAGA candidates he targets.” – James Fishback

🎯IMPACT: The PAC aims to protect Trump’s influence within the Republican Party and counter Musk’s potential third-party efforts.

IN FULL

James Fishback, a 30-year-old investor and ally of President Donald J. Trump, has launched the FSD PAC, a super PAC aimed at countering Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s political machinations. The PAC’s name, “Full Support for Donald,” is a direct jab at Tesla’s “Full Self Driving” technology.

Fishback, a former adviser for the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) where Musk was also involved, stated that the PAC’s purpose is to ensure Musk does not undermine Trump’s influence within the Republican Party. “There’s real frustration in our movement with Elon and his antics,” Fishback told the media on Monday. He added that while he admires Musk’s private-sector accomplishments, he believes the South African immigrant is “dead wrong” in politics.

The move comes as Musk’s recent comments on X (formerly Twitter) reignited tensions with President Trump. Musk threatened to create a new political party, the “America Party,” in response to disagreements over Trump’s ‘One Big Beautiful Bill,’ which enacts most of the America First leader’s domestic agenda, including stronger border security and immigration enforcement and tax cuts on tips and overtime. Fishback responded by pledging to defend Trump-endorsed candidates, saying, “If Elon actually launches a new party to take down Trump, I’m starting a Super PAC to defend the MAGA candidates he targets.”

Fishback, who founded the investment firm Azoria Partners, has committed $1 million of his own money to the PAC. He previously gained attention for his efforts to deliver DOGE dividends, which aimed to return savings from government cuts to taxpayers. His personal story, as the son of a bus driver and a Colombian immigrant, has also been a point of interest, with Fishback stating, “In ten years, I went from helping my dad sell watermelons on the side of the road to generating over $100 million in trading profits.”

Despite Fishback’s initiative, some GOP insiders downplayed Musk’s potential influence, noting his failed attempt to sway the Wisconsin Supreme Court race earlier this year. One Republican operative remarked, “He’s finished, done, gone. He polls terribly. People hate him.”

Trump: Biden’s NYC Migrant Hotel Funding was Diverted to Build ‘Alligator Alcatraz.’

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: President Donald J. Trump announced the opening of a new illegal immigrant detention facility, nicknamed “Alligator Alcatraz,” in the Florida Everglades.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: President Trump, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Florida officials.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The announcement was made Tuesday during a roundtable discussion following a tour of the Miami-Dade Collier Training Facility in the Florida Everglades.

💬KEY QUOTE: “It’s known as Alligator Alcatraz, which is very appropriate because I looked outside, and that’s not a place I want to go hiking anytime soon,” said President Trump.

🎯IMPACT: The facility is expected to begin processing, detaining, and deporting illegal immigrants immediately, with some reportedly self-deporting already.

IN FULL

The Trump administration used Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) money allocated by the Biden government to house illegal immigrants in luxury hotels in New York City to construct “Alligator Alcatraz” in the Florida Everglades, President Donald J. Trump said Tuesday during a roundtable discussion after touring the facility.

Trump toured the existing Miami-Dade Collier Training Facility, which has, in just eight days, been transformed into a detention center designed to process, detain, and deport illegal immigrants, alongside Florida Governor and former Republican primary rival Ron DeSantis.

“It’s a great honor to be deep in Florida—the Florida Everglades—to open America’s newest migrant detention center, incredibly built, and you’re seeing that yourself,” Trump said. “That’s why I said, let the press join us on our walk so they can see what’s happening. It’s known as Alligator Alcatraz, which is very appropriate because I looked outside, and that’s not a place I want to go hiking anytime soon,” the President joked.

“But very soon, this facility will house some of the most menacing migrants, some of the most vicious people on the planet,” he continued. “We’re surrounded by miles of treacherous swampland, and the only way out is really deportation. And a lot of these people are self-deporting back to their country where they came from,” Trump said.

“Quite a few were amazed at actually the number we took the FEMA money that Joe Biden allocated to pay for the free luxury hotel rooms, where he’s paying hundreds of millions of dollars in New York City, and we used it to build this project,” Trump told reporters. “And Ron [DeSantis], it was just a little fraction of that money—the money they spent on that project,” he added.

Despite a bruising primary campaign against DeSantis, the President said he now rates his relationship with the Florida Governor as “a 10, maybe a 9.9 because there might be a couple of little wounds.”

Addressing DeSantis directly, he said, “You’re my friend and you’ll always be my friend. We may even have some skirmishes in the future. I doubt it, but we’ll always come back because we have blood that seems to match pretty well.”
