ICE Is Going After Bosses Who Exploit Illegal Immigrant Labour.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Acting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Todd Lyons discussed the agency’s focus on worksite enforcement actions targeting crimes like human trafficking and child exploitation.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Todd Lyons, acting ICE Director, and ICE enforcement teams.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Remarks were made during a broadcast of NewsNation’s Cuomo this week.

💬KEY QUOTE: “We want to go ahead and [tackle] those American businesses that are illegally taking credit off the men and women that they have working for them. We are going after the businesses as well.” – Todd Lyons

🎯IMPACT: ICE is emphasizing enforcement against businesses involved in illegal practices, alongside its focus on criminal warrants.

IN FULL

Acting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Todd Lyons has stated the agency’s current focus on worksite enforcement actions will see the agency go after bosses who employ and exploit illegal aliens. These operations are aimed at locations with potential human trafficking, child exploitation, or other criminal activities.

Lyons stated, “We hear all the time, from the left and the right, hey, we’ll support you if you have a criminal warrant, search warrant signed by a judge. And when you see a lot of the worksite that we’ve done, like the marijuana grow farm or the events on June 6 that led to the riots and the protesting of us in L.A., they were actual federal criminal warrants that ICE was going to a location that either had possible human trafficking, child exploitation, or some type of criminal event. That’s what ICE is focused on right now.”

He further explained that the agency is not solely focused on illegal immigrants working illegally. “We want to go ahead and [tackle] those American businesses that are illegally taking credit off the men and women that they have working for them. We are going after the businesses as well,” Lyons said.

The ICE raid of a marijuana farm in California earlier this month saw agents discover illegal immigrant children being exploited. Despite this, the state’s Democrat Governor, Gavin Newsom, took aim at ICE’s methods, complaining that they were using tear gas on women and children.

Trump Using Troops to Tackle LA Rioters was Unlawful: Clinton Judge.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A Bill Clinton-appointed federal judge ruled President Donald J. Trump’s deployment of troops to protect U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) personnel and federal buildings in Los Angeles, California, was largely unlawful, barring their use for police functions.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: President Trump, U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The ruling was issued in September 2025, related to the Trump administration’s response to pro-illegal immigrant riots starting in June 2025, in Los Angeles.

💬KEY QUOTE: “There was no rebellion, nor was civilian law enforcement unable to respond to the protests and enforce the law,” Judge Breyer claimed.

🎯IMPACT: The ruling restricts military involvement in domestic law enforcement, with potential implications for future deployments—but is likely to be appealed. Notably, a previous ruling by Breyer against President Trump deploying the National Guard in L.A. was overturned unanimously.

IN FULL

A federal judge appointed by Bill Clinton has ruled that President Donald J. Trump’s deployment of military troops in Los Angeles, California, is largely unlawful. The ruling prohibits the Pentagon from using the National Guard and U.S. Marines for police duties, U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer complaining about President Trump potentially “creating a national police force with the President as its chief.”

In June, Trump sent troops to Los Angeles to protect U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) personnel and federal buildings, arguing that state and local law enforcement were not sufficiently defending them against pro-illegal immigrant rioters due to “sanctuary” laws. Although most troops have now been withdrawn, approximately 300 remain, with plans under consideration to deploy federal law enforcement and troops to restore order in other cities in Washington, D.C.-style crime crackdowns.

San Francisco-based Judge Breyer ruled that the deployment violated the Posse Comitatus Act, which limits the military’s role in domestic law enforcement. His ruling bans the Pentagon from “ordering, instructing, training, or using the National Guard currently deployed in California, and any military troops heretofore deployed in California, [to engage] in arrests, apprehensions, searches, seizures, security patrols, traffic control, crowd control, riot control, evidence collection, interrogation, or acting as informants.”

Technically, the ruling does not mandate the removal of the remaining 300 troops, only that they be used only for what Breyer deems lawful purposes. Notably, although the decision is a victory for Democrat California Governor Gavin Newsom, who brought the case, its longevity is uncertain. Breyer previously ruled that President Trump could not deploy the National Guard in L.A. at all, only to be overturned swiftly and unanimously on appeal.

Lefty UK Comic Arrested Over Anti-Trans Tweets.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Graham Linehan, co-creator of the comedy series Father Ted, was arrested at London’s Heathrow Airport for posts shared on the X social media platform (formerly Twitter).

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Graham Linehan, an Irish comedy writer and BAFTA winner based in the United Kingdom, and five armed police officers at Heathrow Airport.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The incident occurred at Heathrow Airport upon the left-wing but gender critical comic’s arrival from Arizona on September 1. He was later taken to a hospital due to health concerns.

💬KEY QUOTE: “I was arrested at an airport like a terrorist, locked in a cell like a criminal, taken to hospital because the stress nearly killed me, and banned from speaking online, all because I made jokes that upset some psychotic crossdressers.” – Graham Linehan

🎯IMPACT: Linehan’s arrest has sparked discussions on the ongoing collapse of freedom of speech in Britain, and British law enforcement’s eagerness to intervene in online disputes.

IN FULL

Graham Linehan, the Irish comedy writer behind the hit shows Father Ted, The IT Crowd, and Black Books, was arrested by five armed police officers at London‘s Heathrow Airport over three social media posts. Linehan, a leftist but also a longtime critic of gender ideology, claims he was taken into custody immediately after arriving from Arizona on September 1. The posts in question, which he shared on X (formerly Twitter), have been described by authorities as potentially inciting violence.

One post, dated April 20, read: “If a trans-identified male is in a female-only space, he is committing a violent, abusive act. Make a scene, call the cops and if all else fails, punch him in the balls.” A separate post from April 19 included a photo of a transgender rights rally with the caption: “A photo you can smell,” followed by another post that stated, “I hate them. Misogynists and homophobes. F*** em.”

Linehan detailed the experience in a blog post, writing, “The moment I stepped off the plane at Heathrow, five armed police officers were waiting. Not one, not two—five. They escorted me to a private area and told me I was under arrest for three tweets.” He says the stress of the incident caused his blood pressure to spike to dangerous levels, leading to a brief hospital stay. Authorities later confirmed he was released on bail while investigations continue.

This is not the first time Linehan has faced repercussions for speaking out against transgenderism. His original Twitter account was permanently suspended in 2020 for what the platform called “hateful conduct,” including remarks like “Men aren’t women tho.” He has been a vocal defender of the rights of real women to single-sex spaces and sports, and has consistently criticized what he calls the erasure of women in favor of radical gender ideology.

Linehan says the United Kingdom has become “hostile to freedom of speech” and accused British law enforcement of going out of its way to appease gender ideologues. “If they think this is going to silence me,” he wrote, “they’ve got another thing coming.”

The Free Speech Union has said it “do[es] not believe Graham’s arrest or the bail conditions imposed”—said to comprise solely of a ban on posting on X—”were lawful.” They added that they would be “backing him all the way in his fight against these preposterous allegations and the disproportionate response from the police.”

Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, another noted critic of gender ideology, said of the arrest, “What the f**k has the UK become? This is totalitarianism. Utterly deplorable.”

Shutdown Showdown Looms as Congress Reconvenes.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Lawmakers reconvene today after a monthlong recess, facing a packed legislative agenda ahead of a federal government shutdown deadline.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Members of Congress returning to Capitol Hill.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Tuesday, at the U.S. Capitol.

🎯IMPACT: Debates over government funding and Jeffrey Epstein will likely dominate discussions.

IN FULL

Lawmakers return to Capitol Hill on Tuesday after a monthlong recess, facing a September agenda dominated by a government shutdown deadline less than a month away. Bipartisan cooperation is needed to pass next year’s funding bills, with Republican majorities in the House and Senate having struggled to advance appropriations without the Democrats.

Congressional Democrats will likely demand the restoration of Medicaid and Affordable Care Act funds as part of a deal, after they were cut significantly for certain people, including migrants, under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, passed this summer with no Democratic support.

Beyond funding, Congress is grappling with other priorities. Senate Republicans are considering rule changes, to counter Democrat disruption of President Donald J. Trump’s nominations, and tariffs on Russia’s trading partners, to increase pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin to make peace with Ukraine.

In the House, Speaker Mike Johnson faces internal party divisions over whether to push Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Department of Justice (DOJ) to release additional Jeffrey Epstein investigation files. Democrats and some Republicans are demanding greater transparency on the investigation into the deceased pedophile’s operations after Bondi released a memo stating that the matter was essentially closed.

Notably, Democrats expressed little interest in the matter when they controlled the DOJ and the legislature.

NBC Issues ‘Correction’ After Using ‘Wrong Pronoun’ for Transgender Mass Shooter.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: NBC News issued a “correction” for using the “wrong pronoun” to refer to Robin Westman, the transgender Annunciation Church mass shooter.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Transgender mass shooter Robin Westman, NBC News and four of its reporters.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The “correction” was issued on August 29, 2025.

💬KEY QUOTE: “She used female pronouns.” – NBC News correction notice.

🎯IMPACT: The “correction” has sparked public backlash, with many questioning why NBC News is concerning itself with the pronouns of a child killer who confessed in his own writings that he knew he was not really a woman.

IN FULL

NBC News issued a “correction” on Friday after using “the wrong pronoun” for Annunciation Church mass shooter Robin Westman, formerly Robert, who killed two children and left over a dozen others injured in Minneapolis, Minnesota, last week.

“CORRECTION (Aug. 29, 2025, 8:05 a.m. ET): A previous version of this article used the wrong pronoun for the shooter. She used female pronouns,” read the correction notice, added to a report on the shooting. Previously, the report had correctly referred to Westman with male pronouns.

According to the shooter’s journal, he knew he was “not a woman,” expressing regret about his transition ahead of the attack. “I only keep [the long hair] because it is pretty much my last shred of being trans. I am tired of being trans, I wish I never brainwashed myself,” he wrote. “I regret being trans… I wish I was a girl I just know I cannot achieve that body with the technology we have today. I also can’t afford that.”

Westman also reportedly wrote about being drawn to anthropomorphic animals, or “furries,” writing, “I like feeling sexy and cute but my face never matches how I feel. I hate my face.”

“Maybe that’s why I like furries so much. You can give yourself a new body and face,” he added.

Westman fatally shot himself after his attack.

Farage Party Candidate Arrested After Flying UK Flag from Public Building.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Protesters clashed with police in Epping, UK, after the Court of Appeal overturned an injunction that sought to temporarily halt asylum seekers being housed in the Bell Hotel.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Protest organisers, Reform UK candidates Orla Minihane and Sarah White, demonstrators, police officers, and local figures like Adam Brooks and Councillor Jaymey McIvor.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Sunday in Epping, Essex, primarily at the Bell Hotel and the local council buildings.

💬KEY QUOTE: “The council has let us down… migrants were more important than the British people.” – Orla Minihane

🎯IMPACT: The protests highlighted growing public frustration over migrant housing policies and political inaction, with calls for civil disobedience and further unrest.

IN FULL

England’s migrant hotel protests escalated on Sunday as clashes broke out between demonstrators and police in Epping, Essex. The unrest followed a Court of Appeal decision to overturn an injunction that would have temporarily stopped the Bell Hotel from housing asylum seekers.

Sunday’s events culminated in the arrest of Sarah White, a candidate for Nigel Farage’s Reform Party, after she hung a Union flag from a nearby public building.

Protests at the Bell Hotel have been ongoing since July, when an illegal migrant staying there was arrested and charged with multiple offences, including the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl. The recent court ruling has intensified local anger, with protesters accusing authorities of ignoring their concerns.

Reform UK candidate Orla Minihane, a protest organiser, told attendees that “the council has let us down” and accused the Government of prioritising migrants over British citizens. Sarah White compared the demonstrations to historic uprisings, urging the crowd to “refuse to pay the [BBC] license fee” and “council taxes.” White was then arrested after attempting to place a flag on the council building, sparking clashes between protesters and police.

“The arrest is on suspicion of breaching a Section 14 order,” a police spokesman said – referring to legislation police chiefs can use to impose restrictions on protests they believe could result in “serious public disorder.”

Local voices expressed outrage at the court’s decision, with commentator Adam Brooks calling it a “disgrace.” Many questioned the impartiality of presiding judge Lord Justice Bean, citing his ties to the far-left Labour Party and the further-left Fabian Society. Others echoed Nigel Farage’s criticism of the Government’s use of the ECHR against local residents.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Donald Trump, Pfizer, CDC, and Bobby Kennedy Jr.

📍WHEN & WHERE: This morning, Trump’s statement was made on TruthSocial.

💬KEY QUOTE: “I want them to show them NOW, to CDC and the public, and clear up this MESS, one way or the other!!!” – Donald Trump

🎯IMPACT: Trump’s demand may increase pressure on drug companies to disclose data, potentially affecting public perception of COVID-19 vaccines.

IN FULL

President Donald J. Trump has called for pharmaceutical companies to justify the success of their COVID-19 drugs. In a statement on TruthSocial, Trump emphasized the importance of transparency in assessing the efficacy of these medications.

“Many people think they are a miracle that saved Millions of lives. Others disagree!” Trump remarked, highlighting the ongoing debate surrounding the effectiveness of COVID-19 treatments.

Trump expressed frustration over the lack of public disclosure of data from companies like Pfizer, despite having seen “extraordinary” information himself. He questioned why these results are not shared with the public and the CDC.

The President also mentioned Bobby Kennedy Jr. and the CDC, who are caught in the crossfire of this debate. Trump urged clarity and disclosure to resolve what he termed a “MESS.”

Trump concluded by expressing hope that Operation Warp Speed was as successful as claimed, stating, “If not, we all want to know about it, and why???”

WATCH: Trump Really Has Cleaned Up D.C. – Will They Thank Him?!

Washington, D.C., has experienced cycles of decline and renewal. The scars of the 2020 ‘Black Lives Matter’ riots lingered for years, with once-bustling squares reduced to tent encampments and boarded storefronts. Today, the capital looks very different—cleaner, safer, and more welcoming—thanks to a mix of federal interventions and, in fairness, local political moves.

The Trump administration played no small role in that turnaround. After the riots, the city teetered on the brink of lawlessness. Reinforcements came in the form of both policy and practical measures: heightened security around key institutions, a federal push to restore order, and visible investments in safety. Outside the FBI’s hulking, brutalist downtown headquarters, reinforced planters now double as protection against vehicle-borne attacks—a blunt reminder that security remains a daily concern in the capital.

WATCH:

Even Mayor Muriel Bowser, often at odds with President Trump, recognized the need to reclaim public spaces. Farragut Square and the sidewalks outside the Washington Post building—once dominated by sprawling homeless camps—have been cleared, scrubbed, and opened back up to pedestrians. What were eyesores only a short time ago are now livable spaces again, evidence that pressure and policy can force results.

Walking further downtown reveals a quieter but no less important addition: the new World War I memorial. Long overdue, it finally gives the 4.7 million Americans who served—and over a million who died—a fitting place of honor. Bronze statues, etched maps, and a flowing fountain ground the space in solemn memory, placing the sacrifices of that generation alongside the capital’s more familiar marble shrines.

Taken together, these changes show a capital city in transition. Once written off as dangerous and unwelcoming, Trump is dragging D.C. away from the chaos. Order, at least for now, has replaced disorder. History has found a new space alongside politics. And even as security barricades and protective planters remind us of present threats, the streets are open, walkable, and alive again.

Labor Day Gas Prices Hit Five-Year Low Under Trump.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Americans are seeing the lowest gas prices for Labor Day weekend in at least five years, with additional savings on airfare, hotels, and car rentals.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: President Donald J. Trump, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, Secretary of Energy Chris Wright, and GasBuddy analysts.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Labor Day weekend 2025, across the United States.

💬KEY QUOTE: “President Trump campaigned on lowering costs and this Labor Day Weekend, the American people will see the results firsthand at the gas pump—with the lowest gas prices in years.” — Secretary of Energy Chris Wright

🎯IMPACT: Families are saving money on travel and gas, with analysts forecasting further price drops in the coming weeks.

IN FULL

American motorists traveling over the Labor Day holiday weekend will pay the lowest gas prices in at least five years, alongside reduced costs for airfare, hotels, and car rentals. The Trump White House is touting a new report from GasBuddy, which states consumers will pay “the lowest price at the pump on Labor Day since 2020.” The administration says further relief is expected in the coming weeks.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt credited President Donald J. Trump’s energy policies, stating, “Thanks to President Trump fully unleashing American energy dominance, gas prices this summer are at five-year lows and families are saving significant money at the pump. President Trump ended Joe Biden’s Green New Scam policies and is making America affordable again.”

Secretary of Energy Chris Wright echoed the sentiment, highlighting the administration’s achievements, saying, “President Trump campaigned on lowering costs, and this Labor Day Weekend, the American people will see the results firsthand at the gas pump—with the lowest gas prices in years. His approach is simple and commonsense: more American energy means lower costs, more jobs, and more prosperity.”

GasBuddy predicts prices could drop below $3 per gallon on average this fall. Additionally, hotel rates have fallen by 11 percent, domestic airfares by six percent, and car rental costs by three percent compared to last year. The White House contends these reductions come as a result of President Donald J. Trump’s focus on revitalizing America’s energy sector and dismantling restrictive policies from the Joe Biden era.

RFK Jr. Cancels $122M in LGBT and Diversity Grants.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. implemented significant budget cuts to Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) grants focusing on LGBT initiatives and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: RFK Jr., HHS, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), and various grant recipients.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Cuts began in March 2025, with additional reductions continuing through August 2025.

🎯IMPACT: Nearly $122 million in funding for 195 projects was eliminated, affecting grants across universities and research institutions.

IN FULL

Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has eliminated nearly $122 million in federal funding tied to LGBT initiatives and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs, marking a significant shift in agency priorities under the Trump administration. The cuts, which began in March 2025, targeted 195 projects that Kennedy and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) deemed overly focused on race, gender, and sexual orientation.

Among the programs cut was a $5.5 million grant to Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s “Vanderbilt FIRST” initiative, which aimed to recruit tenure-track faculty from so-called racially and ethnically minoritized groups, i.e., everyone but white people. Drexel University also lost $4.6 million in funding meant to support DEI hiring efforts in health disparities research. Other grants affected included $2.4 million for the University of Virginia, focused on so-called gender-diverse individuals, and $1.1 million for the University of Michigan, focused on Asian American and Latino populations.

The White House has backed Kennedy’s efforts, brushing aside criticism from activist groups and some academic institutions. Sources inside the administration say the move is part of a broader effort to remove ideological bias from publicly funded research.

The Trump administration has made similar moves elsewhere in recent months. In May, for instance, the Department of Justice (DOJ) redirected more than $800 million in DEI and transgender-related grants toward law enforcement and public safety programs.

Last week, the U.S. Supreme Court allowed the Trump administration to proceed with $783 million in National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant cuts tied to DEI-focused research. In a 5–4 decision, the Court cleared the way for the Trump administration to cancel the grants. Although the ruling included some limits on future federal DEI guidelines, it upheld the administration’s authority to redirect funds away from identity-based programs.
