The violence, however, escalated in recent weeks with the targeted assassination of Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder Charlie Kirk, allegedly by 22-year-old Utah leftist Tyler Robinson. That act was followed by 29-year-old leftist Joshua Jahns opening fire on an ICE field office in Dallas, Texas, on Wednesday.

For several months, Antifa members and other far-left activists—with the backing of local Democrat lawmakers—have essentially laid siege to an ICE detention facility in Portland, Oregon, with local police being directed not to intervene. In response to Antifa’s increasingly violent acts, President Trump declared the far-left group a domestic terrorist organization.

Kremlin official Dmitry Medvedev, a former President of Russia, has issued a stark warning to the United States, saying Russia possesses weapons that “a bomb shelter won’t protect against,” after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky suggested that Moscow officials should prepare to take cover if they continue their war in Ukraine.

In a recent interview, Zelensky said President Donald J. Trump had explicitly backed Ukrainian strikes on Russian targets, including arms factories and energy infrastructure. He added that if Ukraine “receives more long-range American weaponry, then we will use it.”

Medvedev, the deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council and a former Russian president and prime minister, responded on the social media platform X, writing, “The Kiev drug addict said the Kremlin should know where a bomb shelter is so its occupants can hide when he uses long‑range American weapons. Ford Recalls 115,000 Vehicles in U.S. Due to Steering Flaw.

The Ford Motor Company has announced a recall for 115,539 vehicles in the United States, prompted by concerns raised by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) over a steering defect. The defect, if present, could cause the upper shaft of the steering column to detach, significantly increasing the risk of a crash.

The recall affects the 2020-2021 Ford F-Super Duty trucks, including the F-250, F-350, and F-450 models. Concerningly, this could impact upwards of between 10 percent and 15 percent of F-series trucks sold by the automaker over that year—marking a signficant recall measure.

According to the second-largest automaker in the United States, Ford dealers will inspect and—if necessary—repair or replace the steering column’s upper shaft free of charge to vehicle owners. NHTSA noted that vehicle owners will be notified of the issue starting October 6, 2025, with a second round of notifications expected in December once a definitive remedy is in place.

The issue was first reviewed by Ford’s Critical Concern Review Group on June 26, 2025. Investigations revealed changes in the manufacturing process, with a second staking method introduced in February 2021 to improve the upper shaft’s design. Vehicles produced at the Kentucky Truck Plant before October 1, 2020, were found to have potentially defective parts. However, no accidents or injuries have been linked to the defect so far.

This recall follows several others by Ford in recent months, including one earlier in the month for 1.45 million vehicles over a defective rear-view camera system and another in August involving 355,656 light trucks with faulty instrument panel displays.

The House Oversight Subcommittee for Cybersecurity has launched an inquiry into ride-share giant Uber‘s response to sexual assault allegations and misconduct cases against the company’s drivers. A recent investigation found that the frequency of such incidents is far greater than what Uber has publicly acknowledged.

Representative Nancy Mace (R-SC), who chairs the subcommittee, addressed a letter to Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, questioning the company’s methods for identifying, responding to, and disclosing these incidents. The inquiry underscores a persistent safety issue for those using ride-sharing services.

“The volume of incidents uncovered by recent reporting indicates a persistent safety hazard for those who rely on ride sharing for transportation and highlights a need for enhanced and expanded safety tools to better prevent sexual assault and misconduct,” Mace wrote, adding: ” The disparity between previously disclosed data and recent reporting raises concerns about the accuracy and completeness of safety data.”

Notably, the recent independent investigation revealed that between 2017 and 2022, Uber received reports of sexual assault or misconduct on average every eight minutes, totaling 400,181 incidents in the U.S. alone. Previously, Uber had only disclosed 12,522 serious sexual assault cases during that period.

In response, Uber spokesman Matt Kallman stated, “We appreciate the opportunity to meet with subcommittee staff to share more about Uber’s leading technology, strong policies and expert partnerships that prioritize women’s safety.”

The company claims that 99.9 percent of trips occur without incident and that many reports are less serious or potentially fraudulent. Nevertheless, Uber faces over 3,000 lawsuits related to sexual misconduct, while its competitor Lyft is dealing with hundreds of similar cases.

United States Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO) has revealed that a number of American companies are abusing the H-1B visa program to fill diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) jobs. The revelation is especially egregious as some progressive political figures have justified DEI programs and employment as a means to lift up so-called “marginalized” ethnic minority Americans.

“This is outrageous. Some U.S. companies are using H-1B visas to staff their DEI offices,” Sen. Schmitt wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter). “I’ve reviewed numerous examples of hospitals, universities and other employers hiring foreign H-1B workers as DEI bureaucrats. I’m urging USCIS [U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services] to work with us to fix this.”

The Missouri Republican says his office has obtained and reviewed a number of H-1B visa requests filed by American employers to fill DEI roles. Schmitt notes, “For example, Yale New Haven Health filed Labor Condition Applications (LCA) for H-1B visas for the role of ‘Diversity and Inclusion Specialist’ in 2021.” Other academic institutions, according to the Senator, have filed similar visa requests for DEI positions, including Carnegie Mellon University and Dartmouth College.

However, the H-1B to DEI office pipeline isn’t just isolated to higher academia: “Examples range from large banks and law firms to universities, healthcare systems, and even municipal park districts,” Sen. Schmitt states. “Obviously, DEI positions are plainly non-technical and ideological in nature, and appear to fall outside the ‘specialty occupation’ intent of the H-1B statute.”

“More to the point, in light of everything we know about DEI, it’s alarming that American employers appear to be importing foreign workers to work in these roles—placing non-Americans in positions where they are tasked with policing the speech and thought of our own citizens,” Schmitt warns.

Following his office’s investigation, the Missouri Senator is requesting USCIS issue guidance “clarifying that positions relating to DEI… do not qualify as H-1B specialty occupations” and “provide my office with a full report and a briefing on approved H-1B petitions in DEI-tagged roles for FY2021–FY2024.” Additionally, Schmitt is asking USCIS to “conduct a focused review of approvals over the aforementioned time period to identify DEI-tagged cases and take appropriate corrective action.”

According to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, small business confidence has reached its highest level in nearly a decade. New home sales also soared in August, marking a three-year high and the strongest market for homebuyers in over a decade.

Brown University announced this week that it is drastically scaling back staff and operating expenses after reaching a settlement agreement with the Trump administration in July. Currently, Brown faces a daunting $30 million budget deficit for the 2026 fiscal year, requiring administrators to enact budget reduction measures. “The implementation of these measures will take place across a range of academic and administrative departments and offices on campus,” a Brown University spokesman announced. University staff impacted by the workforce reduction will be offered severance packages and career transition support.

“One of the most significant decisions in developing the strategy to close this additional $30 million budget gap was to evenly divide budget measures between central University actions to reduce expenses by $15 million and giving academic and administrative units the discretion to decide how and where to reduce spending in their own areas to achieve the remaining $15 million in reductions,” the university said.

Former Brown student Alex Shieh, who made headlines for his criticism of administrative roles, commented on the layoffs, stating, “In recent years, Ivy League colleges have morphed into a bloated ‘educational industrial complex’ run by self-dealing administrators who charge families record tuition and divert the money to layers of staff that add little to the classroom.”

Shieh argued that these administrative positions do not serve students and contribute to soaring tuition costs, which he noted are now as high as $93,064 annually.

A directive issued to the U.S. attorney’s offices by senior DOJ officials instructs investigators to identify specific individuals and groups who may have violated the law for further investigation—with possible charges including racketeering, arson, wire fraud, and material support for terrorism.

Notably, the move follows a series of posts on Truth Social written by President Donald J. Trump pressing Attorney General Pam Bondi to begin investigations into a number of current and former state and federal officials responsible for the Russia hoax and the Joe Biden-era lawfare campaigns against him. The officials include New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) and Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA). The National Pulse reported on Wednesday that former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) director James Comey could soon face a grand jury indictment for lying to Congress.

The investigations into Soros-tied organizations and individuals come in the wake of an explosion in far-left political violence in the United States over the past year. On September 10, Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder Charlie Kirk was assassinated, allegedly by 22-year-old leftist Tyler Robinson, while he spoke at Utah Valley University. Meanwhile, 29-year-old leftist Joshua Jahns opened fire on a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) field office in Dallas, Texas, on Wednesday, spraying the facility with bullets and causing the death of an illegal immigrant detainee.

Soros-backed groups have been accused of funding violent anti-ICE demonstrations, with leftist “protests” in Portland taking the form of a “siege” of an illegal immigrant detention facility. Violent protests have also broken out in Los Angeles and Chicago, with leftist demonstrators attacking federal immigration officials and law enforcement.

According to a senior Department of War official, the execution would be the first carried out by the U.S. military in more than 60 years.

A former Army psychiatrist, Hasan is currently incarcerated at the U.S. Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, for the 2009 attack, which killed 13 people and wounded another 32. Armed with a semi-automatic pistol, Hasan entered Fort Hood’s Soldier Readiness Center and opened fire on service members preparing for deployment.

During his trial, Hasan confessed to the shooting, claiming it was necessary to protect the “Islamic Empire” from American forces. The Pentagon categorized the massacre as an act of “workplace violence,” a decision widely criticized for ignoring the ideological and terrorist motivations behind the attack.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Patel detailed how Jahns, who fatally shot himself after the attack, “downloaded a document titled ‘Dallas County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management’ containing a list of DHS facilities,” and “searched apps that tracked the presence of ICE agents.”

The sniper, who scrawled “Anti-ICE” on his ammunition but only managed to hit migrants detained by ICE rather than ICE personnel, likely in error, also made “multiple searches” for videos of Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder Charlie Kirk being shot and killed at Utah Valley University, allegedly by radical leftist Tyler Robinosn.
