The Totenkopf was an official emblem of the Waffen SS in Nazi Germany, and is particularly associated with the SS-Totenkopfverbände, which administered the Nazi concentration camps.

Platner has also faced scrutiny for past Reddit posts that minimized sexual assault in the military and disparaged police and rural white Americans. North Carolina Republican lawmakers adopted new U.S. House district maps on Wednesday, aiming to secure an additional GOP seat in the 2026 elections. Gloristine Brown (D) declaring, “You are silencing Black voices and are going against the will of your constituents.”

The new map could shift counties in Rep. Davis’s 1st District to a coastal district more favorable to Republicans. Statewide election data suggests the GOP could win 11 of 14 House seats under the new boundaries. However, the new districts will likely draw numerous legal challenges from Democrats and leftist lawfare groups who claim the map violates the Voting Rights Act.

Republican leaders in the state legislature contend that the redistricting was based on political considerations, not racial data. “We are excited to announce over 60 journalists, representing a broad spectrum of new media outlets and independent journalists, have signed the Pentagon’s media access policy and will be joining the new Pentagon press corps. Twenty-six journalists across 18 outlets were among the former Pentagon press corps who chose to sign the DOW media access policy,” Assistant to the Secretary of War for Public Affairs Sean Parnell said in a statement.

“New media outlets and independent journalists have created the formula to circumvent the lies of the mainstream media and get real news directly to the American people. Their reach and impact collectively are far more effective and balanced than the self-righteous media who chose to self-deport from the Pentagon,” he added.


In late September, the Pentagon undertook a major shake-up of its press corps aimed at cracking down on leaks of classified information and the malicious publication of national security secrets. This included issuing a renewed Pentagon media policy designed to prevent media presence in sensitive national security areas and limit access to Pentagon officials without approval from the Department of War.

Notably, the number of former Pentagon press corps members who have signed on to the media policy has risen to 26, representing 18 total media outlets. Just over 60 journalists are being accredited for the first time.

The leak of a preliminary, low-confidence Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) assessment of the U.S. strikes against Iran’s nuclear facilities via CNN’s Natasha Bertand likely gave urgency to the policy change. Media outlets used documents to prematurely declare the bombings a failure.

Bertrand has a long history of politically motivated reporting, having aggressively promoted the Russiagate hoax. She has also been credibly accused of serving as a conduit for defense and intelligence community partisans who worked to suppress news coverage of Hunter Biden’s “Laptop from Hell,” smearing it as Russian disinformation.

The Trump administration has agreed to cancel billions of dollars in federal student loan debt for as many as 2.5 million borrowers, following a federal court settlement in the case American Federation of Teachers (AFT) v. U.S. Department of Education. The settlement, filed on October 17, reinstates loan forgiveness provisions tied to income-driven repayment (IDR) programs, including Income-Contingent Repayment (ICR), Pay As You Earn (PAYE), and Income-Based Repayment (IBR). These plans cap monthly payments based on income and household size, and forgive remaining balances after 20 to 25 years of qualifying payments.

The agreement comes after the AFT sued the Trump administration in March 2025, claiming it had unlawfully reversed Joe Biden-era loan forgiveness initiatives. According to the lawsuit, the Department of Education, under President Trump, removed IDR enrollment applications from federal websites and directed servicers to stop processing new enrollments and forgiveness applications. The AFT argued that this violated federal law by denying borrowers access to debt relief guaranteed by Congress.

“For nearly a decade, the AFT has fought for the rights of student loan borrowers to be freed from the shackles of unjust debt—and today, a huge part of that affordability fight was vindicated,” said AFT President Randi Weingarten in a statement. “Our agreement means that borrowers stuck in limbo can either get immediate relief or finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. And, crucially, they won’t ever get taxed on that relief. The AFT will hold the federal government to its word, and we won’t stop fighting until college is affordable and taking out a student loan doesn’t trap millions of Americans in a ruinous and exploitative debt cycle.”

The Department of Education began notifying eligible borrowers in October, sending emails that offer the option to accept forgiveness or opt out. Borrowers who receive forgiveness by the end of 2025 will not face federal income taxes on the discharged debt, under provisions maintained from previous legislation.

This settlement comes amid broader changes to the Department of Education under Trump. In March 2025, the president signed an executive order directing the department’s dismantling, aiming to return educational authority to states and local governments.

Earlier that year, the department eliminated over $600 million in funding for teacher training programs which promoted “divisive ideologies,” including diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. As part of this shift, the department’s workforce has also been significantly reduced.

Fueled by increased government revenues, including historic levels of money coming into the Treasury Department from President Donald J. Trump’s tariff policies, the second quarter deficit reading was the lowest in over half a decade.

“President Trump is taking control of unwieldy government spending to get the U.S. fiscal house in order. In response, financial markets have cheered the President’s accomplishments, with benchmark Treasury yields making new intra-year lows,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Wednesday, noting: “The budget deficit began to shrink dramatically beginning in the second quarter of this year when there was no overlap with the Biden administration. From April to September, the cumulative deficit totaled just $468 billion. This is the lowest reading since 2019 and is down nearly 40 percent from the comparable period last year when Biden was spending recklessly.”


The overall budget deficit for the 2025 fiscal year was $41 billion below last year’s total, though the federal government still added $1.77 trillion to the national debt, which remains a serious economic and political concern. However, the Treasury Department points to other government data showing a considerable improvement in federal outlays, which are largely outpaced by revenue, suggesting the U.S. fiscal situation will likely continue improving. In the second quarter, federal outlays rose by just 0.2 percent compared to the previous year, while in the third quarter, government spending fell by 2.5 percent.

Last month, the federal government reported a budget surplus of $198 billion, a nearly $118 billion increase from the $80 billion surplus widely touted by the former Biden government for September 2024. Thousands of protesters gathered outside the Citywest Hotel in southwest Dublin, Ireland, on Tuesday night, following reports that a ten-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted by an asylum seeker housed at the facility. The Citywest Hotel, Ireland’s largest, was recently purchased by the government for approximately $162 million to serve as a permanent accommodation centre for migrants. The decision has faced strong opposition from locals, with ongoing protests and a petition gathering thousands of signatures.

The alleged assault occurred between Sunday night and early Monday morning. The suspect, a 26-year-old migrant whose asylum application had been rejected last year, with a deportation order issued earlier in 2025. However, he was not actually removed from the country.

The man required an Arabic interpreter during court proceedings. The young girl, who was in state care, had reportedly wandered away from her guardians during an outing in central Dublin before encountering the suspect.

Irish Justice Minister Jim O’Callaghan condemned the protest. “The weaponising of a crime by people who wish to sow dissent in our society is not unexpected,” he said.

The unrest follows a pattern of similar incidents across Ireland over the past two years. In November 2023, violent riots erupted in Dublin after a migrant was accused of stabbing three children and a woman outside a school. Cummings’s order aims explicitly to prevent ICE agents from making so-called “collateral arrests,” where immigration enforcement agents executing an arrest warrant also detain other illegal immigrants present in or near the courthouse. The Democrat-appointed judge threatened that he would back the directive by ordering the arrest of any ICE agent who violates it.

In response, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) defended the actions of ICE agents, arguing that courthouses should not be exempt from law enforcement activities. “We aren’t some medieval kingdom; there are no legal sanctuaries where you can hide and avoid the consequences for breaking the law,” DHS stated. “Nothing in the Constitution prohibits arresting a lawbreaker where you find them.”

Notably, two major alleged H-1B visa mills, Cognizant and Tata Consultancy Services, are among the firms moving away from an over-reliance on cheap foreign labor.

“On H-1B, we have significantly localized our workforce in the U.S.,” said Tata’s chief human resources officer, Sudeep Kunnumal, on a recent earnings call. He added: “We believe our business model will be able to adapt quickly to any changes in immigration policy.”

The Trump administration’s new application fee likely had a direct impact on the company’s decision to move away from reliance on cheaper foreign labor, as data shows the multinational IT firm is one of the largest sponsors of H-1B visas.

Meanwhile, Cognizant—another IT consultancy firm founded in India along with Tata—has begun stating on new job postings that it will “only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without the need of employer sponsorship.”

The Trump White House has defended the unusually high fee compared to past administrations as necessary to encourage companies to focus on training and expanding the American labor force and its skill base.

Last week, The National Pulse reported that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a major globalist lobbying entity representing 300,000 corporate interests, had filed a federal lawsuit calling in the $100,000 fee. “Many members of the U.S. Chamber are bracing for the need to scale back or entirely walk away from the H-1B program, to the detriment of their investors, customers, and their own existing employees,” the Chamber complained in its filing.

Britain’s Home Office—roughly equivalent to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security—states that 42 migrants have been returned to France as part of this arrangement, which was introduced earlier this year by Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron. Despite the fact that it entails Britain taking a migrant from France for every boat migrant that is returned, it is supposed to deter boat migrant crossings by raising the possibility that such journeys will be wasted. Parias is not the first illegal immigrant influencer to face legal trouble. Earlier this year, Venezuelan influencer Leonel Moreno was deported after using TikTok to encourage illegals to squat in unoccupied homes. His videos, which often showed him flashing cash and mocking U.S. laws, drew national attention.. Immigration authorities confirmed his deportation in March.

Another deportation involved Leidy Tatiana Mafla-Martinez, a Colombian national known for organizing anti-ICE protests and posting videos of enforcement actions. Mafla-Martinez was removed from the U.S. in October after what federal officials described as multiple violations of immigration law.
