From the moment President Joe Biden staggered into the CNN studio, mumbling to himself, it was obvious. It was going to be a rough night for Joe. For the first time in President Donald Trump’s life, he was not the center of attention on the stage, with not just the American public but, indeed, the world fixated on whether or not Joe Biden was fit to serve another term.
As if it wasn’t clear enough already, that question was finally put to bed tonight.
As we go to publication, Biden campaign strategists are blaming “a cold” for Joe’s miserable, agonizing, and mournful performance, while Democrat strategists at large are hurriedly boning up on convention rules in an attempt to oust Biden and replace him as the candidate at their Chicago meet in late August.
No kidding, the reviews are almost all stunningly bad for Biden. Shockingly bad. Mouth agape bad, as Joe’s often was on Thursday night, as he hurled half-finished sentences and explicitly false information at Trump, as the former President looked on, at times even seeming concerned for Biden’s own well-being.
“I really don’t know what he said at the end of that sentence, and I don’t think he knows what he said either,” Trump remarked at one point in the conversation, saying out loud what everyone at home watching was thinking.
Biden rambles.

“What on Earth are you talking about, Joe?!” millions of Americans may as well have suddenly cried out in terror while watching their President flustered, irate, and unable to complete many of his points without self-contradicting, tailing off, or just completely stopping mid-sentence.
And think about what other world leaders go to see on full display and what it tells them about the contemporary vulnerability of Joe Biden in this very moment. If Republicans don’t immediately start talking about the 25th Amendment, they’ll miss a trick. Because the Democrats will now face an at least semi-serious attempt to replace Biden anyway. In the event he goes down, you want to make the left have to own the reason why.
They tried to lump America with another four years of a clearly infirm leader simply to preserve their political power and were only forced to try and change that once their bungled puppetry was exposed, live, and in technicolor.
Thursday, June 27, was certainly a debate to remember. Thankfully for himself, Joe Biden has already forgotten it happened.
