New polling from Rasmussen Reports—conducted on behalf of The National Pulse—shows that nearly half of voters believe government officials lie most or all of the time. The survey found that 15 percent of likely voters believe government officials lie whenever they speak. An additional 33 percent believe the government lies most of the time. Meanwhile, 40 percent of respondents said government officials lie some of the time. Just six percent said the government rarely lies, while only one percent said it never lies.
The new data suggests a concerning level of distrust in the American government and institutions critical to the nation. Such widespread suspicions about government information are likely due in part to the continued Democratic Party coverup of the 81-year-old Joe Bidne’s cognitive decline. The National Pulse reported on July 5 that even the corporate media was acknowledging a fairly widespread conspiracy by news outlets, the White House, and Democratic lawmakers to hide some of the more glaring moments when Biden appeared cognitively impaired.
Overall, 23 percent of those polled said they trust the executive branch the most. Meanwhile, 18 percent said they trust the judiciary, and just 12 percent said they trust Congress. Conversely, 39 percent of respondents said they did not trust any branch of government.
The highest levels of distrust in government were found among voters under the age of 40. Among this demographic, 58 percent say the government lies at least most of the time. Meanwhile, 47 percent of those between 40 and 64 say the same. The level of distrust drops to just 38 percent of respondents in the 65 and up demographic.
