A host on NBC News demanded that President Donald J. Trump release all of his medical documentation, stating that she wanted to see his cholesterol levels. During a recent appearance on NBC’s Meet The Press, host Kristen Welker grilled House Speaker Mike Johnson regarding President Trump’s medical records.
“You don’t want to know things like his cholesterol level, whether he’s dealing with any issue that we may not know about, if he’s going to be commander-in-chief?” Welker demanded.
“Kristen, listen to your question,” Johnson replied, arguing that “the American people don’t care about the cholesterol level of Donald Trump; they care about the cost of living and the fact they cannot pay for groceries because Kamala Harris and Joe Biden’s policies have put them in that situation.”
The Speaker said the former president’s “health is on display; everyone in America can see it,” adding: “The man works nonstop. He never quits.”
Last November, Trump’s doctor declared the president to be in “excellent health” and stated that his cognitive exams were “exceptional.”
Johnson stressed that the need to focus on issues that impact citizens’ daily lives is paramount, explaining, “That’s why Donald Trump is surging in the polls, because he’s doing this on stages, in interviews, nonstop, around the clock, and Kamala Harris has done nothing.”
The Harris campaign has made very few media appearances and interviews during the presidential race compared to Trump and his running mate, Senator JD Vance (R-OH). In the first 59 days of the Harris campaign, both Harris and Walz conducted only five interviews, compared to the Trump campaign’s 73.
