EXCLUSIVE: Bannon Prison Statement – ‘Biden-Harris Are Illegally Holding Me Past My Release Date.’

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Former Trump White House Chief Advisor Stephen K. Bannon has issued a blistering statement, sent to The National Pulse, explaining how the Biden-Harris regime is holding him illegally, refusing to accept his First Step Act eligibility, and incarcerating him longer than required in order to swing the election.

“Kamala Harris is the ‘Queen of Mass Incarcerations’,” Bannon told The National Pulse, “detested by black and hispanic men who are refusing to turn out and vote for her. She has done nothing to implement President Trump’s heroic First Step Act, in fact welcoming hundreds of thousands of hardened illegal migrant criminals while allowing US citizens eligible for early release to rot in prison. No mass deportations, but continual mass incarcerations.”

On August 29, 2024, Bannon filed a motion to reimpose bail or impose a period of supervised release. The government’s response to Mr. Bannon’s en banc petition has been pending for over 75 days. His lawyers say, “the Court should grant Mr. Bannon’s motion for bail pending completion of Supreme Court review, and order the Bureau of Prisons to release Mr. Bannon immediately.”

Bannon continued: “Harris will lose this election on her inability to get black and hispanic men to vote for her in Philadelphia, Detroit, Milwaukee, Atlanta, Phoenix, and Las Vegas. The four years she did nothing for family reunification of American citizen prisoners while genuflecting to illegal alien criminals is coming back to bite her. Her Indian heritage surely taught her: Karma is a Bitch.”

He concluded: “The Harris Bureau of Prisons is illegally holding me past my legal release date–trying to eliminate one of President Trump’s strongest advocates–these criminals reek of desperation.”

The First Step Act passed in December 2018 aims to reform the federal prison system by reducing sentences for non-violent offenders and focusing on rehabilitation. A key provision allows inmates to earn time credits through participation in educational and vocational programs, potentially leading to early release into pre-release custody, such as halfway houses or home confinement. The law also expands compassionate release for elderly or terminally ill prisoners.

Bannon is expected to be released on October 29th, though qualified for First Step Act early release last month.

Prison Guards Dismissed After Leaking Ghislaine Maxwell Attorney Emails to House Dems.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Prison employees at the facility where Ghislaine Maxwell is currently incarcerated has reportedly been fired after leaking the Jeffrey Epstein accomplice’s communications to Congressional Democrats, according to her attorneys.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein, Maxwell attorney Leah Saffian, the Trump administration, House Judiciary Democrats, and Federal Bureau of Prisons employees.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The revelations were made late Friday, November 14, after House Judiciary Democrats obtained emails between Maxwell and her attorneys.

💬KEY QUOTE: “There have been appropriate consequences already for employees at Federal Prison Camp Bryan. They have been terminated for improper, unauthori[z]ed access to the email system used by the Federal Bureau of Prisons to allow inmates to communicate with the outside world.” — Maxwell’s attorney, Leah Saffian.

🎯IMPACT: House Democrats are characterizing the breach as a whistleblower action, though it is legally dubious whether the leaking of client-attorney communications by a third-party federal employee engaging in unauthorized access would qualify as whistleblowing.

IN FULL

Prison employees at the facility where Ghislaine Maxwell is currently incarcerated have reportedly been fired after leaking the Jeffrey Epstein accomplice’s communications to Congressional Democrats, according to her attorneys. The revelation comes after House Democrats had somehow obtained emails between Maxwell and her legal team regarding a possible commutation of her sentence for her role in Epstein’s sex trafficking of minors.

“Contrary to Rep. Raskin’s (D-MD) assertion, Ms Maxwell has not requested a commutation—or made a Pardon—application to the second Trump Administration,” wrote Maxwell’s attorney, Leah Saffian, in a statement. She continued: “There have been appropriate consequences already for employees at Federal Prison Camp Bryan. They have been terminated for improper, unauthori[z]ed access to the email system used by the Federal Bureau of Prisons to allow inmates to communicate with the outside world.”

House Democrats are characterizing the breach as a whistleblower action, though it is legally dubious whether the leaking of client-attorney communications by a third-party federal employee engaging in unauthorized access would qualify as whistleblowing. “To protect the identity of whistleblowers we won’t comment on any information that could identify whistleblowers, including whistleblowers’ employment status. Any effort by BOP to intimidate, silence, or retaliate against anyone, including inmates and staff with information on Ms. Maxwell’s outrageous preferential treatment is unacceptable,” a spokesman for the House Judiciary Committee Democrats said.

“Dressing the improper action up as ‘Whistleblower Information’ does not mitigate the fact that the mails were both illegally obtained and put to unconstitutional purpose,” Saffian contends, characterizing the communications as “privileged client-attorney email” correspondence. She added: “For Rep. Raskin to seek to make political capital from such publication and from the content of personal emails between Ms Maxwell and a family member is both shocking and reprehensible.”

The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) has not directly confirmed that it has dismissed any employees over the matter. However, the federal agency did state: “While we cannot comment on specific personnel matters or ongoing investigations, the BOP reaffirms its zero-tolerance stance on misconduct and its unwavering commitment to accountability at every level of the organization.”

The British Govt is FINALLY Proposing Asylum Reforms. Here’s Their Plan…

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The United Kingdom’s Labour government has unveiled plans to overhaul the country’s asylum laws, supposedly to make it more difficult to seek asylum and attain permanent residence in Britain.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The Labour Party, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood, Reform Party leader Nigel Farage, and asylum seekers.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Unveiled by Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood in Parliament this weekend.

💬KEY QUOTE: “These reforms will block endless appeals, stop last-minute claims and scale up removals of those with no right to be here.” — Keir Starmer

🎯IMPACT: While parts of Labour’s far-left political base are already working to stop Starmer’s proposed reforms, skeptics suggest that the creation of new “safe and legal” routes for migrants to claim asylum could see the number of migrants overall remain the same or even rise, even if arrivals by sea and other clandestine means decrease.

IN FULL

The United Kingdom’s Labour government has unveiled plans to overhaul the country’s asylum laws, ostensibly to make it more difficult to seek asylum and attain permanent residence in Britain. The changes were unveiled by Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood in Parliament this weekend, with Starmer stating: “These reforms will block endless appeals, stop last-minute claims and scale up removals of those with no right to be here.”

Labour’s leadership is billing the changes as the most comprehensive and sweeping in the history of modern Britain. Asylum seekers, under the new policies, will face a quadrupled length of time before they can receive permanent settlement in the United Kingdom. Additionally, refugee status will now only be temporary.

According to Starmer and Mahmood, the current system allows so-called refugees to abuse Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) to essentially delay indefinitely their removal from the United Kingdom. The Labour government is seeking to enact new laws that clarify the meaning of a “family connection” which will legally limit the term to only a direct family member, such as a parent or child. In addition, the United Kingdom is seeking a multi-country review of Article 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights’ definition of torture, arguing it is too expansive and is being used to claim asylum status where it truly isn’t applicable.

While parts of Labour’s far-left political base are already working to stop Starmer’s proposed reforms, skeptics note that they include the creation of new “safe and legal” routes for asylum seekers, and could result in the number of migrants overall remaining the same or even rising, even if the number of illegal boat migrants falls.

Election polls consistently show Brexit-leader Nigel Farage‘s Reform Party outpacing Labour for a majority in Parliament, putting Farage himself on pace to be the United Kingdom’s next prime minister.

Notably, Farage’s popularity has soared in most part because of his outspoken stance on immigration and the need for drastic changes to the United Kingdom’s asylum laws. The data also backs Farage, with immigration and asylum reform consistently being the top issues for Britons.

Recently Fired UK Ambassador Caught P*ssing In the Street.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Former British Ambassador to the United States Lord Peter Mandelson was photographed urinating against a wall in Notting Hill, London, after an evening at former Chancellor George Osborne’s home.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Lord Mandelson,  George Osborne, and property owner James Reed.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The incident occurred on Wednesday evening in Notting Hill, central London.

💬KEY QUOTE: “There is no disguising my embarrassment.” – Lord Mandelson

🎯IMPACT: The incident adds to the controversies surrounding Lord Mandelson, who was ousted from his ambassadorship following revelations concerning his friendship with deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

IN FULL

Lord Peter Mandelson, the recently-ousted British Ambassador to the United States, was photographed urinating on a wall in Notting Hill, London, after leaving the home of former Chancellor of the Exchequer (Treasury Secretary) George Osborne on Wednesday evening. The wall reportedly belongs to James Reed, of Reed Recruitment, who expressed surprise that a neighbor did not offer Lord Mandelson a restroom. “It doesn’t seem very diplomatic,” Reed quipped.

An anonymous witness criticized Mandelson’s behavior, describing the Labour Party grandee’s behavior as “revolting” and more suitable for the crime-ridden Notting Hill Carnival.

Lord Mandelson apologized for the incident, citing a lengthy wait for a taxi as the reason for his actions. “I was stood up by two Uber drivers and kept waiting in the street for half an hour, and was bursting,” he claimed.

Lord Mandelson, a former European Commissioner and member of the Tony Blair and Gordon Brown Cabinets, has long been dogged by scandals and faced renewed scrutiny ahead of his ouster over his longstanding friendship with deceased child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, which he maintained long after his initial conviction for soliciting minors.

This has resulted in the loss of several honorary titles, in addition to his ambassadorship, including his removal from the list of honorary fellows at St Catherine’s College, Oxford.

Gunmen Kidnap Dozens of Girls from Boarding School.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Gunmen abducted 25 girls from a boarding school in Kebbi State, Nigeria, after killing the deputy head teacher and injuring a security guard.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The attackers, local police, military personnel, and vigilantes conducting search and rescue operations.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The incident occurred at 4:00 AM on November 17, 2025, at the Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School in Danko Wasagu, Kebbi State.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Police tactical units, military personnel, and vigilantes have been deployed for search and rescue operations of the kidnapped students.” – Nigerian Police Force

🎯IMPACT: The abduction highlights ongoing security challenges in Nigeria, where jihadist groups frequently target schools.

IN FULL

At approximately 4:00 AM on November 17, 2025, armed gunmen attacked the Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School in Danko Wasagu, Kebbi State, Nigeria. The assailants, carrying rifles, killed Vice Principal Hassan Yakubu Makuku and injured a security guard, identified locally as Ali, before abducting 25 girls.

The attackers fled towards Zamfara State, according to a teacher who spoke on condition of anonymity. Residents reported that the bandits infiltrated the area through Zamfara forests, bypassing two military checkpoints near the school. “One of the checkpoints is in Damarke… it is about seven kilometers from the school,” a local resident said.

The Nigerian Police Force confirmed the incident, stating: “Police tactical units deployed in the school engaged them in a gun duel. Unfortunately, the suspected bandits had already scaled through the fence of the school and abducted twenty-five students from their hostel to an unknown destination.” Authorities have since deployed additional police units, military personnel, and vigilantes to search for the abducted students and apprehend the perpetrators.

This incident recalls the infamous 2014 Chibok abductions, where Boko Haram militants kidnapped 276 schoolgirls, sparking global outrage. While some of the Chibok girls have been rescued or escaped, others remain missing. The latest attack underscores the persistent threat of mass abductions in northwest Nigeria, where armed, often jihadist groups frequently target schools and colleges for ransom.

Despite government pledges to improve security, such kidnappings for ransom remain a pressing issue in Nigeria. The Commissioner of Police in Kebbi State, CP Bello M. Sani, reassured the public of the command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property, urging residents to remain calm and vigilant while supporting police operations.

The National Pulse previously reported that President Donald J. Trump announced the designation of Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern (CPC) on October 31, 2025, citing severe violations of religious freedom and the persecution of Christians by radical Islamist terrorists. Despite the designation, the Muslim-led Nigerian government has denied allegations of a Christian genocide, while expressing a willingness to cooperate with the United States on counterterrorism efforts against Islamist militias.

MTG Hits Trump Over ‘Traitor’ Label, Says It Puts Her in DANGER.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) criticized President Donald J. Trump for calling her a “traitor” during a CNN interview.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, President Trump, and CNN’s Dana Bash.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The interview aired on Sunday during CNN’s State of the Union.

💬KEY QUOTE: “The most hurtful thing he said, which is absolutely untrue, is he called me a traitor.” – Marjorie Taylor Greene

🎯IMPACT: Greene’s remarks highlight growing tensions between her and the President.

IN FULL

On Sunday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) complained about President Donald J. Trump in a CNN appearance, sharing her upset about his “painful” comments about her. Speaking with Dana Bash on CNN’s State of the Union, she said, “The most hurtful thing he said, which is absolutely untrue, is he called me a traitor,” alleging that this might “radicalize people against me and put my life in danger.”

Greene claimed that Trump’s criticism of her could be linked to her stance on the Jeffrey Epstein files. Responding to probing from Bash about whether she suspected Trump was attempting to conceal something, Greene said, “I have no idea what’s in the files… but the questions everyone is asking, is why fight this so hard?”

Bash pressed Greene on whether her statements were driven by individual resentments, citing reports that Trump had advised against her pursuing a Senate or gubernatorial bid in Georgia. Greene claimed, “Actually, I never had a conversation at all with the President about running for Senate, or running for Georgia [governor]… I very much wanna do the job that I’m in.” She went on to attack the Senate as a “very broken institution that serves the uniparty and doesn’t serve the American people and how they vote.”

Greene also claimed that Trump’s comments about her are endangering her life in a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “President Trump’s unwarranted and vicious attacks against me were a dog whistle to dangerous radicals that could lead to serious attacks on me and my family.”

Responding to these accusations, Trump told reporters on Sunday, “I don’t think her life is in danger… frankly, I don’t think anybody cares about her.”

Notably, Trump released a statement on his Truth Social platform over the weekend urging House Republicans to vote to release the Epstein files, “because we have nothing to hide, and it’s time to move on from this Democrat Hoax.” He added: “The Department of Justice has already turned over tens of thousands of pages to the Public on ‘Epstein,’ are looking at various Democrat operatives (Bill Clinton, Reid Hoffman, Larry Summers, etc.) and their relationship to Epstein, and the House Oversight Committee can have whatever they are legally entitled to, I DON’T CARE!”

Michelle Obama Blasts America Over Female POTUS Talk: ‘Don’t Waste My Time.’

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Michelle Obama reiterated her lack of interest in running for President, citing the belief that the U.S. is not ready for a female leader.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Michelle Obama, Tracee Ellis Ross, and President Donald J. Trump.

📍WHEN & WHERE: October 2025, Brooklyn Academy of Music.

💬KEY QUOTE: “That’s why I’m like, ‘Don’t even look at me about running, ‘cause you all are lying,’” – Michelle Obama.

🎯IMPACT: The comments reaffirm Michelle Obama’s disinterest in entering politics while simultaneously chastising American voters for their supposed misogyny.

IN FULL

Michelle Obama has reiterated her rejection of any presidential bid, alleging that America remains “not ready for a woman” in the nation’s top job. During a discussion at the Brooklyn Academy of Music alongside Tracee Ellis Ross, she pointed to President Donald J. Trump’s crushing defeat of Kamala Harris in 2024 as a supposed telltale sign, rather than accepting that the former vice president’s loss was a rejection of Democratic politics. “Well, as we saw in this past election, sadly, we ain’t ready,” she said.

Mrs. Obama went on to say, “That’s why I’m like, ‘Don’t even look at me about running, ‘cause you all are lying.’ You’re not ready for a woman. You are not. So don’t waste my time.” She further chastised American voters by lecturing, “We got a lot of growing up to do, and there are still, sadly, a lot of men who do not feel like they can be led by a woman, and we saw it.”

The former first lady has consistently voiced her disdain for political office. Back in 2018, while speaking with Savannah Guthrie on the Today program, she unequivocally rejected embarking on her own political career: “Absolutely not. I’ve never wanted to be a politician. Nothing has changed in me. I want to serve… There are so many ways to make an impact. Politics is not my thing. It’s as simple as that.”

Officer Injured as Suspect Rams Police Cars During Immigration Raid.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A law enforcement officer was injured after a man allegedly drove a van toward officers, rammed their vehicles, and led them on a high-speed chase during an immigration enforcement operation in Charlotte, North Carolina.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The suspect, a U.S. citizen with a prior criminal record, and federal agents conducting immigration raids.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Sunday afternoon near the University City area in Charlotte.

💬KEY QUOTE: “During the chase, he attempted to ram into law enforcement vehicles—posing a serious public safety threat.” – Department of Homeland Security

🎯IMPACT: The incident highlights the risks faced by law enforcement during immigration operations and underscores the federal push to address public safety threats.

IN FULL

On Sunday, a law enforcement officer was injured during a federal immigration enforcement operation in Charlotte, North Carolina, after a group of officers were rammed in their vehicles by a suspect unconnected to the raid. The immigration raids, which have resulted in the arrests of at least 81 illegal immigrants, were part of a federal enforcement effort, according to Border Patrol officials.

The suspect, identified as a U.S. citizen, accelerated his van at officers conducting the operation near the University City area, according to a post on X (formerly Twitter) from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). After fleeing the scene, the suspect initiated what the DHS described as a “dangerous high-speed chase through a densely populated area” before agents managed to box him in.

“During the chase, he attempted to ram into law enforcement vehicles—posing a serious public safety threat,” DHS said in a statement. “As agents were boxing him in—the driver proceeded to ram law enforcement vehicles in an attempt to escape.” One officer was injured in the incident, and a firearm was later discovered in the suspect’s van, officials confirmed.

The DHS noted that the perpetrator has “prior arrests for resisting law enforcement, public disturbance, and intoxication/disruptive conduct.” The encounter occurred during a major immigration enforcement operation in Charlotte over the weekend, where U.S. Border Patrol agents were seen making arrests across the city of more than 900,000 residents.

DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin stated that the operation is part of a federal push to ensure “Americans are safe and public safety threats are removed.” Similar immigration enforcement raids have recently been conducted in California, Illinois, Oregon, and New York.

IT’S HERE! USS Gerald R. Ford, World’s Largest Aircraft Carrier, Arrives in Caribbean.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The U.S.’s largest and most modern aircraft carrier, USS Gerald R. Ford, has entered the Caribbean Sea, joining a significant U.S. military build-up near Venezuela’s coastline.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The U.S. Navy, Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro, and the U.S. State Department.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The USS Gerald R. Ford entered the Caribbean Sea on Sunday, navigating through the Anegada Passage.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Through unwavering commitment and the precise use of our forces, we stand ready to combat the transnational threats that seek to destabilize our region.” – Admiral Alvin Holsey

🎯IMPACT: The deployment increases pressure on Venezuela’s socialist dictatorship and enables potential U.S military action to remove strongman leader Nicolás Maduro.

IN FULL

The USS Gerald R. Ford, the largest and most advanced aircraft carrier in the U.S. Navy, has entered the Caribbean Sea. The Ford‘s arrival was confirmed by the U.S. Navy on Sunday, though the largest warship ever built had entered the U.S. Southern Command Area of Responsibility (USSOUTHCOM AOR) late last week. This move comes as part of a broader military build-up near Venezuela’s coastline, which has included warships, personnel, and stealth aircraft.

Meanwhile, SOUTHCOM has confirmed that at least 21 drug boats have been targeted since early September, resulting in 83 deaths, as part of a campaign against narcotics trafficking. Admiral Alvin Holsey, commander of SOUTHCOM, stated, “Through unwavering commitment and the precise use of our forces, we stand ready to combat the transnational threats that seek to destabilize our region.” Holsey also emphasized the importance of the carrier strike group’s deployment in protecting the Western Hemisphere and U.S. national security.

Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro, believed to be the primary target of the U.S. military buildup, has responded with a “massive deployment” of his own forces. Maduro, who is not recognized by many Western nations as the legitimate leader of Venezuela, is accused by the U.S. of leading the Cartel de los Soles, which the State Department designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) on Sunday. Maduro denies the allegations. A $50 million reward remains for information leading to his arrest.

President Donald J. Trump, when asked about potential U.S. action against Maduro, commented, “It allows us to do that, but we haven’t said we’re going to do that.” Trump also hinted at possible discussions with Maduro, stating, “The government in Caracas would like to talk.”

Over the weekend, Maduro made an increasingly rare public appearance before a small crowd of supporters. During the regime event, Maduro bizarrely appeared to sing John Lennon’s Imagine, before he called for peace in the region.

Trump Urges GOP to Release Epstein Files and Refocus on Economy.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: President Donald J. Trump urged House Republicans to release the Jeffrey Epstein files, emphasizing there is “nothing to hide.”

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: President Trump, House Republicans, and various Democrat leaders and donors such as former President Bill Clinton, Reid Hoffman, and Larry Summers.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The statement was made in a Truth Social post on Sunday evening, November 16, 2025.

💬KEY QUOTE: “House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide, and it’s time to move on from this Democrat Hoax.” – Donald Trump

🎯IMPACT: Trump’s call aims to refocus Republican efforts on economic issues and away from distractions like the Epstein case.

IN FULL

In a Sunday post on  Truth Social, President Donald J. Trump called on House Republicans to release the Jeffrey Epstein files, asserting that there is “nothing to hide.” He described the Epstein case as it relates to his administration as a “Democrat Hoax” designed to distract from Republican successes.

“As I said on Friday night aboard Air Force One to the Fake News Media, House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide, and it’s time to move on from this Democrat Hoax perpetrated by Radical Left Lunatics in order to deflect from the Great Success of the Republican Party, including our recent Victory on the Democrat ‘Shutdown,'” President Trump wrote. He added: “The Department of Justice has already turned over tens of thousands of pages to the Public on ‘Epstein,’ are looking at various Democrat operatives (Bill Clinton, Reid Hoffman, Larry Summers, etc.) and their relationship to Epstein, and the House Oversight Committee can have whatever they are legally entitled to, I DON’T CARE!”

The America First leader urged Republicans to focus on economic issues, such as affordability, inflation reduction, and tax cuts, which he claims are areas where Republicans are achieving significant victories. Trump also warned against Republican members being “used” and falling into what he called the Epstein “TRAP,” which he believes is more of a curse on the Democrats than on Republicans.

“Nobody cared about Jeffrey Epstein when he was alive and, if the Democrats had anything, they would have released it before our Landslide Election Victory,” Trump wrote. On Friday, President Trump suggested a DOJ investigation into Clinton, Hoffman, and Summers is imminent, telling Attorney Pam Bondi that she should begin preparations.

Trump Admin Issues Update on Shutdown Flight Disruption Ahead of Thanksgiving.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Flight traffic has returned to normal following the end of the government shutdown, according to U.S. Transport Secretary Sean Duffy.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: U.S. Transport Secretary Sean Duffy, air traffic controllers, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Administrator Bryan Bedford, and President Donald J. Trump.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The FAA lifted its emergency order at 6 AM ET on Monday, with normal operations resuming nationwide.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Air traffic controllers who didn’t miss a single day during the shutdown deserve a bonus! We are working on it RIGHT NOW!” – Sean Duffy

🎯IMPACT: The return to normal operations comes ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, a critical travel period for millions of Americans.

IN FULL

U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has stated that “flight traffic is back to normal as controllers return to towers” during the first Monday morning after the government shutdown concluded. Airports had cautioned that it might require several days to fully restore operations, following the cancellation or delay of thousands of flights by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) over safety issues stemming from inadequate staffing. With Thanksgiving—a peak travel period—set for November 27, getting back on track is essential for countless Americans.

Throughout the shutdown, numerous air traffic controllers remained at home without pay, although others kept working. President Donald J. Trump commented on the matter, noting that those controllers who stayed on the job would qualify for a $10,000 bonus. Secretary Duffy echoed this in an X post, declaring, “Air traffic controllers who didn’t miss a single day during the shutdown deserve a bonus! We are working on it RIGHT NOW!”

The FAA formally ended its emergency flight-reduction directive at 6 AM ET on Monday. FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford remarked, “The decision to rescind the order reflects the steady decline in staffing concerns across the NAS and allows us to return to normal operations.” He also thanked FAA personnel, saying, “I am grateful for the hard work of the FAA safety and operations teams and for their focus on the safety of the traveling public.”
