A civil lawsuit filed on Sunday accuses rapper and Democrat supporter Jay-Z, real name is Shawn Carter, of raping a 13-year-old girl alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs. The lawsuit, initially filed in October in the Southern District of New York, was refiled to include Carter as a defendant. The accuser, identified in the lawsuit as “Jane Doe,” alleges the assault took place at a house party following the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000.
The lawsuit claims that Doe was driven to the afterparty by a limousine driver who claimed to work for Combs. After being transported by this driver, she arrived at a house where she was allegedly required to sign a non-disclosure agreement. At the party, where attendees were reportedly using drugs, Doe asserts she was given a drink that caused her to feel disoriented. She claims Combs and Carter then entered a room she had retreated to and assaulted her.
The lawsuit was filed by Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee. This case marks the first time Buzbee has named another high-profile defendant in his series of recent lawsuits against Combs, which also accuse him of assault and rape.
Carter shot back at the lawyer in a statement issued late Sunday:

Combs, who has consistently denied the allegations, is currently facing criminal charges including racketeering and sex trafficking in New York. He remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn and is awaiting trial set for May 5.
