Democrat Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) referred to Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX), who is disabled, as “Governor Hot Wheels” during a speech to a Human Rights Campaign dinner in Los Angeles, California, on Monday. “[W]e in these hot-ass Texas streets, honey,” she said, adding: “Y’all know we got Governor Hot Wheels down there, come on now!”
Crockett, 43, went on to say that “the only thing ‘hot’ about him is that he is a hot-ass mess, honey, so um, so, yes! Yes, yes, yes.”
Abbott, 67, has been paralyzed from the waist down since 1984 as a result of being crushed by a falling oak tree while jogging. The National Pulse has asked the Human Rights Campaign if it endorses Crockett’s language about the disabled but was yet to receive a response at the time of publication.
Crockett is often involved in scandals, insulting Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) as having a “bad built, butch body” during a congressional hearing in 2024, and assaulting a reporter from Loomer Unleashed in the Capitol more recently.
