Vice President J.D. Vance confirmed the Department of Justice is investigating Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) over allegations of immigration fraud “right now.”

However, despite this focus on her brother, she also faces lesser-known but potentially more serious allegations related to her father, Colonel Nur Omar Mohamed, namely that she did not disclose her family’s role in allegedly committing war crimes in Somalia under the former Marxist-Leninist regime of Major General Siad Barre.
