❓ WHAT HAPPENED: The far-left extremist activist group Stand Up To Racism disrupted a vigil in Bristol, England, for Henry Nowak, who was murdered in late 2025 by 23-year-old Vickrum Digwa, a Sikh man who stabbed him to death with a religious dagger, then lied to the police that he had been racist. 📺 DETAIL: The vigil was held after Digwa was convicted of murdering the 18-year-old Southampton University student, who was stabbed five times while walking home from a night out in December 2025. Prosecutors said Digwa falsely claimed he had been the victim of a racist attack and acted in self-defense, a defense rejected as a lie by the jury and Digwa’s sentencing judge. The case sparked widespread public anger after it emerged at trial that responding police officers handcuffed Nowak when Digwa alleged without evidence that Nowak had been racist, dismissing the teen’s repeated pleas that he had been stabbed and needed help. Hampshire Police have since offered an equivocal apology for its treatment of Nowak, whose last words were “Please, brother, I can’t breathe,” and an external investigation is underway. Notably, the force has refused to release bodycam footage of the arrest. |
