A Labour-linked influencer who was invited to Downing Street on Prime Minister Andy Burnham’s first day, and who says she advises Labour MPs, has marked Guy Fawkes Night with a sick joke about the shooting of Charlie Kirk.
“sources tell me Guy Fawkes is stable. please God,” Ellen Stewart, who posts on X as @algorecrave, wrote on Thursday. As of Thursday evening, the post was still up.
The post copies, almost word for word, one that conservative commentator Tim Pool wrote on September 10, 2025, after Kirk was shot: “Source tells me Charlie is stable. Please god.”
Guy Fawkes Night, marked across Britain every November 5, commemorates the failed 1605 plot to blow up Parliament. Effigies of Fawkes are traditionally burned on bonfires.
Stewart, 19, also runs the TikTok account @politicsprincess, according to the writer Hannah Camilleri.
In July, the BBC reported that a group of TikTokers aged 17 to 19, Stewart among them, were invited to stand outside No. 10 Downing Street, the prime minister’s office and residence, on Burnham’s first day in the job. According to the BBC, Burnham’s team gave the group access to him and footage of him. The influencers are unpaid.
In a June column for the pro-Labour website LabourList, Stewart says she advises Labour MPs and ministers on digital communications, and describes working with the office of Treasury minister Dan Tomlinson on a video.
The New World has reported that Burnham signed her can of BuzzBallz, a premixed cocktail, in a Wetherspoons pub.
Burnham’s team wanted Gen Z vibes. This is what it got.
