Monthly ICE Arrests Hit 50,000, Up by 70% Since February.

New data has revealed that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested nearly 50,000 migrants in July, marking a record high during President Donald J. Trump’s second administration.

Texas and Florida accounted for nearly 20,000 of the arrests, reflecting their extensive use of 287g agreements that enable local law enforcement to collaborate with federal law enforcement. In the month prior to Trump taking office, arrests sat at just 8,000.

The increase in arrests is the likely result of the agency’s workforce being expanded with roughly 12,000 new hires, along with the President’s decision to maintain traffic stops as part of ICE operations. This new data also means that President Trump has achieved more monthly arrests than his predecessors, even surpassing the peak of monthly arrests during former President Barack Obama’s tenure in 2011.

A new survey has revealed that France’s Marine Le Pen is leading all potential opponents in the 2027 French presidential race, reflecting a growing rightward shift across Europe.

According to the DESNZ, every role in the industry sustains an additional 4.4 jobs in the wider supply chain.
