MAGA-world activist and influencer Isabella DeLuca was arrested on Friday in California. Court records unsealed on Monday revealed that she faces five charges for her involvement with the January 6, 2021 riot at the Capitol, including touching a table, as well as “demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building.” The case reveals how thin the federal government’s case against protesters has become, with other charges including “disorderly conduct” and “remaining in restricted buildings.”
According to the FBI, DeLuca touched a table as it was being passed from office within the Capitol to rioters outside through a shattered window. The bureau alleges the table was later used to assault law enforcement officers.
The government provided the following evidence:

DeLuca has accumulated a significant social media following, as well as having served as an ambassador for Turning Point USA and as an intern for Congressmen Lee Zeldin of New York and Paul Gosar of Arizona.
Timothy Desjardins, another defendant who allegedly used a piece of the table to assault officers, was previously sentenced to 18 years on separate charges.
