Indianpolice forces killed 29 suspected Maoist rebels in the central state of Chhattisgarh on Tuesday, just three days before the start of India’s presidential election.
Law enforcement authorities initiated a raid in the Kanker district following crucial intelligence about suspected communist rebel activities. In the ensuing skirmish, three security personnel suffered injuries. The after-action led to a recovery of several firearms.

The clash traces back to a seemingly never-ending conflict that began in 1967 when Indian forces found themselves locked in a struggle with Maoist rebels across various central and northern territories. These rebels, also known as Naxalites, agitate for more employment opportunities, land rights, and wealth for India’s economically impoverished indigenous tribes.
According to the Indian government, the dissidents pose the gravest internal security challenge for the nation. Drawing direct inspiration from Chinese communist leader Mao Zedong, they persist with disruptive activities mainly in Chhattisgarh, often making government forces and officials the targets of their aggression. Chhattisgarh is among the poorest regions of India but is rich in minerals.
Indian Home Minister Amit Shah has resolved to uproot the communist insurgency from this embattled state, describing it as the “biggest enemy of development, peace and bright future of youth” and stating that “We are determined to free the country from the scourge of Naxalism.”

The entertainment and media company BuzzFeed—once well-known for publishing the fake Russiagate dossier on President Donald J. Trump but refocusing in recent years on online quizzes, listicles, and AI-generated pop culture content—announced late Thursday that it is facing significant debts after registering a $57 million revenue loss in 2025. As a result of its deteriorating financial situation, BuzzFeed executives have “substantial doubts” as to whether the company can continue to operate—at least as it exists now.
Since the media company went public via an initial public offering (IPO) in 2021, BuzzFeed has struggled, like most legacy corporate media outlets, with declining readership and a lack of ad revenue. While BuzzFeed’s debt situation has improved compared to its position just three years ago—when it was $165 million in debt—the company remains in costly ownership entanglements with the far-left blog HuffPost and the social media-based food network Tasty.
“We’re exploring strategic options to complete the work we started years ago and position the Company to operate profitably on a sustainable basis,” Matt Omer, BuzzFeed’s CFO, said on its earnings statement, seemingly suggesting that the company may yet again restructure and either spin off or shutter some of its acquired properties like Huffpost. Still, such measures may not be enough, as the company has indicated it does not currently have sufficient assets to fund its 2026 cash obligations.
Notably, former Republican presidential candidate and current Ohio Republican gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy took a 7.7 percent stake in BuzzFeed valued at approximately $6.81 million in 2024. At the time, the stock purchase made Ramaswamy the fourth-largest shareholder in BuzzFeed, behind major investors such as Comcast, NEA Management, and Hearst Communications. In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Ramaswamy indicated his intent to “engage in a dialogue with board or management about numerous operational and strategic opportunities to maximize shareholder value, including a shift in the company’s strategy.”
Despite an initial push for changes in BuzzFeed’s business model, it is unclear what interest or role Ramaswamy now has with the company.

Former Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema (I) has admitted in court filings to having an adulterous affair with her former bodyguard, Matthew Ammel, while he remained married. The admission is tied to a lawsuit brought by his estranged wife, Heather Ammel, in North Carolina, under the state’s alienation of affection law.
Sinema states that the affair started around five months before Matthew separated from Heather. According to her declaration, the two became romantically involved in late May 2024, with their first physical encounter occurring on May 27 in Sonoma, California. The relationship involved additional intimate encounters in places including New York City, Washington, D.C., Aspen, and Phoenix.
Sinema’s legal argument centers on jurisdiction: she asserts that none of the conduct related to the adulterous affair took place in North Carolina. Her team maintains that because the relevant sexual activities occurred outside the state, North Carolina courts lack personal jurisdiction over her, and the case should be dismissed on due process grounds.
Heather Ammel initiated the suit in September 2025, claiming Sinema sent romantic messages to Matthew even when he was in North Carolina—including an alleged photo of Sinema in a towel. Sinema has denied sending any such photo and says she had no knowledge of Matthew being in North Carolina during the relevant period.

A Marine expeditionary unit, consisting of 2,200+ Marines aboard three U.S. Navy amphibious ships, is being directed to the Middle East, as confirmed by two U.S. officials, says ABC News.
The Wall Street Journal also claimed to have sources on Friday, stating: “The Pentagon is moving additional Marines and warships to the Middle East as Iran steps up its attacks on the Strait of Hormuz, according to three U.S. officials. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has approved a request from U.S. Central Command, responsible for American forces in the Middle East, for an element of an amphibious ready group and attached Marine expeditionary unit, typically consisting of several warships and 5,000 Marines, the officials said.”
The 31st MEU, which is typically stationed in Japan and operates within the INDO-PACOM region, is now being tasked to the Middle East. A Pentagon source told The National Pulse that the Department of War does not comment on troop deployments for the purposes of operational security, though did not outright deny the story, when asked.
While the deployment does not indicate an immediate ground force operation in Iran, it provides commanders with land, amphibious, and aviation assets that can be utilized if necessary.
The unit is equipped with a squadron of F-35 fighter jets and a squadron of MV-22 tilt rotor Osprey aircraft, enhancing its operational capabilities.

Ayman Mohamad Ghazali, a 41-year-old naturalized U.S. citizen originally from Lebanon, drove his vehicle into Temple Israel synagogue in West Bloomfield, Michigan, on Thursday in an apparent ramming attack. Neighbors of Ghazali alluded to a possible motivation for the attack, claiming he had lost several family members, including a niece and nephew, in a recent Israeli airstrike on Lebanon. The act of terrorism resulted in the death of Ghazali, injuries to a security guard, and a fire that partially burned the temple.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Detroit field office, which is leading the investigation, is calling the attack a “targeted act of violence against the Jewish community.” However, the bureau has yet to issue any official confirmation of Ghazali’s motive.
Ghazali—a Lebanese national—entered the United States in May of 2010 on an IR1 (Immediate Relative) immigrant visa after filing fiancé petitions in 2009. The IR1 visa allows the foreign-born spouse of a U.S. citizen, married for at least 2 years, to obtain legal permanent residency upon entering the U.S. Notably, Ghazali applied for naturalization in 2015 and was granted citizenship in February 2016.
According to neighbors in the Dearborn Heights neighborhood where Ghazali lived, his brother, a niece, and a nephew were believed to have been killed during an Israeli airstrike. At least one neighbor indicated the deaths of Ghazali’s family members may have occurred just days prior to his ramming attack on the Temple Israel synagogue. Dearborn Heights Mayor Mo Baydoun has subsequently confirmed that Ghazali “lost several members of his own family, including his niece and nephew, in an Israeli attack on their home in Lebanon.”

The House Oversight Committee is requesting to speak with one of the prison guards on duty at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, New York (MCC New York), on the night convicted pedophile and financier Jeffrey Epstein allegedly committed suicide. In a letter sent on Friday, March 13, Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) formally instructed Tova Noel, a guard at MCC New York, that she is slated to appear before the Committee for a transcribed interview on March 26, 2026.
“Due to public reporting, documents released by the Department of Justice, and documents obtained by the Committee, the Committee believes you have information that will assist in its investigation,” Chairman Comer wrote. Already, the Oversight Committee has conducted extensive interviews with former Attorney General Bill Barr, former Labor Secretary Alex Acosta, Ghislaine Maxwell, Les Wexner, former President Bill Clinton, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, as part of its broad inquiry into Epstein, his death, and ties to government officials and other public figures.
Noel was fired as a guard following Epstein’s death, with her superiors alleging she had falsified records to make it appear she had done her rounds in the prison unit that morning. Further, a handwritten note from an inmate at the MCC New York, and released as part of the U.S. Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Epstein Files, claims that guards were overhead discussing Epstein’s death and how to cover it up. “If he is dead, we’re going to cover it up and he’s going to have an alibi, my officers,” the guards were allegedly overheard saying. The same note indicates another inmate accused “Miss Noel” of having killed Epstein.
Subsequently, the transcript of a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) interview with Noel revealed that she had conducted several searches for Epstein’s name on the internet from 5:42 to 5:52 AM on August 10, 2019. Epstein was found unresponsive in his cell at around 6:30 AM. Noel, in the same FBI interview, also acknowledged that she was the last person to see Epstein alive.
Meanwhile, late last month, Mark Epstein, the brother of Jeffrey Epstein, claimed that an upcoming report will definitively prove his brother’s 2019 death was not a suicide. “They are concluding, and doing the report that will come out shortly, which is being peer reviewed, for a number of reasons showing it couldn’t have been a suicide as they had claimed,” Mark Epstein said. He went on to assert that the forthcoming document would back his view that Jeffrey Epstein was murdered, stating, “It will conclusively show it was not a suicide… then who killed him and who had him killed.”

📍WHEN & WHERE: Since 2014, with significant developments in 2023 and 2024, involving locations such as Barbados, Ghana, and New York.
💬KEY QUOTE: “Litigation is a powerful, but underutilised, tool in the African reparations movement.” – OSF-backed organizers
🎯IMPACT: The campaign aims to pressure the British government and other Western governments to pay out reparations to ethnic minorities and the Third World.
IN FULL
The Open Society Foundations (OSF), founded by George Soros and currently chaired by his son Alex Soros, has played a major role in lobbying efforts to extract slavery reparations from Britain. Drawing from its roughly $23 billion endowment, the organization has directed hundreds of thousands of dollars toward groups advocating for compensation.
The reparations push gained formal momentum in 2014 through the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), and broadened in 2023 to encompass African countries—despite the fact that many African rulers profited handsomely from the international slave trade, and continued to practice it at home until being forced to give it up by the West in general and Britain in particular.
OSF has helped facilitate collaboration between Caribbean and African advocates and officials, including by organizing a “study tour” in Barbados and by backing a significant summit in Ghana. That gathering contributed to a unified declaration committing to seek remedies for supposed historical injustices.
OSF’s support has included grants such as $350,000 to the University of the West Indies in 2023 to promote awareness of “reparatory justice” and foster stronger Caribbean-Africa ties, along with $300,000 to Ghana’s foreign ministry that same year. In addition, the foundation helped organize a 2024 summit in New York, where the leader of Barbados called for the Church of England to provide reparations for its role in slavery.
Bolstered by this backing, the African Union has advanced its own reparations initiative and is exploring legal avenues to apply pressure on Britain. The OSF-funded African Judges and Jurists Forum has focused on crafting legal arguments and cases to push the reparations agenda.
Notably, Britain abolished the slave trade in 1807 and slavery in general in 1833. It then spent decades at considerable cost attempting to stamp out the slave trade globally, with the West Africa Squadron of the Royal Navy intercepting around 1,600 slave ships and freeing around 150,000 slaves, losing up to 2,000 sailors in the process. The British also worked hard to stamp out slavery in African kingdoms such as Ashanti and Dahomey, as well as the Arabs’ slave trade in East Africa and the Barbary slave trade in North Africa, which targeted white Christians.

IN FULL
Senior U.S. government officials, including President Donald J. Trump and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, are indicating that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has been seriously wounded and possibly disfigured. Confirmed to have succeeded his father—former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed on the first day of joint U.S.-Israeli strikes against Iran on February 28—Mojtaba Khamenei has yet to appear publicly or through a pre-recorded broadcast. Even stranger, Mojtaba Khamenei’s first address as the new Supreme Leader on Thursday was issued as a written statement and read by broadcasters on state media.
“Iran’s leadership is in no better shape. Desperate and hiding, they have gone underground, cowering. That’s what rats do,” Secretary of War Pete Hegseth stated at the Pentagon press briefing on Friday, assessing that Iran’s political and military leadership continues to degrade. He noted, “We know the new so-called not-so-Supreme Leader is wounded and likely disfigured.”
“He put out a statement yesterday. A weak one, actually, but there was no voice. And there was no video. It was a written statement,” Hegseth continued, adding, “Iran has plenty of cameras and voice recorders. Why a written statement? I think you know why. He is scared. He is injured. He is on the run.”
The War Secretary’s revelation regarding Mojtaba Khamenei’s physical condition echoes similar assertions made by President Trump on Thursday. “I think he is damaged, but I think he’s probably alive in some form, you know,” Trump said, while reemphasizing that he does believe Khamenei—despite the lack of public evidence—is still alive.
Mojtaba Khamenei’s ascension as Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran comes despite having no prior government role nor significant position within the Twelver Islam religious sect. Notably, some in the intelligence community believe that the Thursday address issued by the new Supreme Leader was neither authored nor dictated by him, but rather composed by the remaining senior leaders in the regime’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

🎯IMPACT: The move is the latest delay tactic being used by Robinson’s attorneys after they dragged out a motion—and subsequent hearing—for weeks in a long-shot attempt to disqualify the entire Utah County prosecutor’s office from the case last month.
IN FULL
Tyler Robinson, charged in the assassination of Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder Charlie Kirk, will appear in court today as his defense team seeks to limit public access to certain court filings, as well as restrict media coverage and exclude cameras from an upcoming April 17 hearing. The move is the latest delay tactic being used by Robinson’s attorneys after they dragged out a motion—and subsequent hearing—for weeks in a long-shot attempt to disqualify the entire Utah County prosecutor’s office from the case last month.
“Specifically, Mr. Robinson seeks to take evidence in a closed setting regarding the unfairly prejudicial and misleading media coverage and the improper statements of government officials in order to avoid republicizing the same,” the defense filing reads, continuing, “Mr. Robinson also asks this court to take evidence regarding the privacy violations detailed in the ‘motion to exclude cameras’ in a closed setting, to, again, avoid reiterating the violative material.”
The attorneys for the 22-year-old Robinson plan to present what they claim is evidence of “harmful and prejudicial media coverage” at the hearing in April. “While there is simply not enough time to present all of what is referenced in the ‘motion to exclude cameras,’ the compilation anticipated will highlight the most egregious and most concerning media coverage impacting Mr. Robinson’s case,” the filing states.
Courtroom cameras and media presence have been a constant point of contention for Robinson’s defense team. On several occasions, they have pushed Judge Tony Graf Jr. to either limit or ban the recording of proceedings. While Graf has been sensitive to the defense’s argument that showing Robinson’s handcuffs or leg shackles on camera would be prejudicial, he has otherwise been reluctant to limit the media’s presence.

A U.S. Air Force KC-135 refueling aircraft crashed in western Iraq, resulting in the deaths of four crew members. Two more are missing. U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Friday that “four of the six crew members on board the aircraft have been confirmed deceased.” The identities of the deceased are being withheld until next-of-kin notifications are complete.
The incident occurred in what CENTCOM called “friendly airspace” and involved a second KC-135 aircraft, which landed safely, though reports indicate it sustained tail damage. The crash is under investigation, with officials stating it was not caused by hostile or friendly fire.
In a separate incident, a drone attack struck a joint French-Kurdish Peshmerga base in the Erbil area of northern Iraq, igniting a significant fire. The assault injured six French soldiers and killed one. French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed the fatality, complaining, “The French soldiers there have no connection to war or conflict. They are simply military advisers legally present in Iraq.” The attack was carried out using two drones against the shared facility.
The region has seen further drone attacks targeting British and U.S. positions, with Iranian-origin drones noted as a key danger. In Erbil, British forces intercepted some incoming drones. British Defence Secretary John Healey alleged the “hidden hand” of Russian President Vladimir Putin may have been involved in the attack.

🎯IMPACT: With Thune unwilling to scrap the filibuster or attempt to pass the bill using a talking filibuster, it is extremely unlikely to pass.
IN FULL
Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) announced on Thursday that the SAVE America (SAVE) Act, a voter ID bill backed by President Donald J. Trump, will be brought to the Senate floor next week. The legislation requires proof of citizenship to register to vote and photo ID to cast a ballot.
While Thune claims he supports the legislation, which Trump and the MAGA movement strongly support, he has rejected calls to change the Senate filibuster rule to ensure its passage, citing potential unintended consequences, and is unwilling to attempt to pass it using a talking filibuster, meaning it is almost guaranteed to fail. Speaking from the Senate floor, Thune stated, “I can’t guarantee an outcome on this legislation, but I can guarantee that we are going to put Democrats on the record.”
The House advanced the SAVE America Act last month on a mostly party-line vote, with Representative Henry Cuellar (D-TX) being the sole Democrat to support it. Democrats and voting rights activists argue the bill could disenfranchise millions, while Republicans point to polling that shows voter ID measures and barring noncitizens from voting are overwhelmingly popular among the public, including Democrat voters.
Senator Mike Lee (R-UT), who introduced the bill, and other proponents have pushed for a return to a “standing filibuster” to allow for its passage with a simple majority. Meanwhile, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) has suggested attaching the legislation to a must-pass bill, such as the reauthorization of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).
President Trump has pushed election reforms hard ahead of the 2026 midterms, calling for voter ID requirements and threatening to veto other bills until the SAVE America Act is passed. “It must be done immediately. It supersedes everything else. MUST GO TO THE FRONT OF THE LINE,” Trump declared in a Truth Social post on Sunday.
