HOLCOMB: John Perez is the MAGA Candidate Texas Needs.

John Perez is running to be the next Texas State Representative for House District 133 (HD133) – a district in Wesley Hunt’s backyard in west Houston. He is working to replace an incumbent who voted to impeach Attorney General Ken Paxton, and who continues to receive support and financing from failed Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan. More on that here.

Perez is an America First, Texas First candidate in his race which has no Democrat challenger for the general election, which means this primary is a winner-take-all contest. The Republican Primary ends on Super Tuesday, March 5.

He is the largest contributor to his own campaign, in an effort to remain uncompromised. At the same time, his opponent has taken lots of money from Dade Phelan, as well as the pro-amnesty/anti-Trump ‘Libre Initiative,’ and other RINO PACs such as Karl Rove’s Texans for Lawsuit Reform and the Associated Republicans of Texas. Much of this money has come in the last 30 days.

Perez’s platform is our platform. He is a champion for border security, election integrity, ending vaccine mandates, lowering property taxes, school choice, and – critically – getting rid of Dade Phelan and his merry band of Bushies. In the tug-of-war for the soul of Texas and America, John Perez is a steadfast anchor of conservative virtue who will pull to the right with all his might.

John Perez is not a politician. He is a self-made engineer (Chemical Engineering & MBA from Rice University) who founded and successfully ran several businesses with his wife, Colette (an engineer). He entered public service in 2021 when he ran for and won a Board Trustee seat in the Spring Branch Independent School District, one of the largest independent school districts in Texas. His character is beyond reproach, and he cannot be bought by special interests.

I am proud to call John Perez a friend and personally testify to his commitment to the State of Texas and America as laid out by our founding fathers and endowed with our rights by God. Houston needs him, Texas needs him, and America needs him in the statehouse in Austin.
