I think it’s a very smart ad that doubles down on three of his big themes: ‘I’m going to cut off the head of ISIS, I’m going to stop Muslims from coming into the country temporarily until we get a hold on the situation, and I’m going to build a wall and make Mexico pay for it.
And unlike a lot of candidates, especially first-time candidates who are tempted to run soft auto-biographical ads, Trump has done something smart, which is to double down on the issues that are his signature issues, and I think it’s a very good ad.
