Obama Advisor Says Biden ‘Threats to Democracy’ Messaging is for The ‘Privileged’ Who Don’t Worry About Inflation.

Democratic messaging about alleged threats to ‘democracy’ resonates only with ‘privileged’ Americans who don’t have to worry about inflation, said David Axelrod, a former adviser to Barack Obama.

“I think that the people who are sitting around their kitchen table talking about this are people who aren’t concerned about what they paid for their groceries that are on the kitchen table,” Axelrod said during a discussion on CNN’s “The Source” Monday night.

“If you’re living with the concerns about inflation and sort of the day-to-day concerns of life, if you’re — if you don’t have the privilege not to, then you’re probably not talking about that,” he said.

The Biden campaign has leaned hard into its “democracy” messaging as it has become increasingly clear that Bidenomics has failed and that most Americans lack faith in Joe Biden’s ability to steer the economy successfully.

Last year, Axelrod called for Biden to drop out of the race due to former President Donald Trump’s strong poll results. In response, Biden allegedly called Axelrod a “prick.”

Jamie Raskin Says He’ll Introduce Legislation To Disqualify Trump From Ballot.

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) has announced he’s drafting legislation in collaboration with other Democrats, including Reps. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) and Eric Swalwell (D-CA) aimed to disqualify former President Donald Trump from the November presidential ballot. The move directly responds to a unanimous ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court, which maintained Trump’s eligibility to run for office in Colorado and other states.

The proposed legislation seeks to leverage section three of the 14th Amendment, asserting that individuals who’ve committed insurrection should be disqualified from holding office. “The House of Representatives already impeached Donald Trump for participating in insurrection by inciting it. So, the House has already pronounced upon that,” Raskin said during a Sunday appearance on CNN.

On Monday, the Supreme Court overturned a decision by Colorado’s state supreme court that disqualified Trump from the Presidency, citing the 14th Amendment’s insurrection clause. In the unanimous decision against Colorado, the justices wrote: “We conclude that States may disqualify persons holding or attempting to hold state office. But States have no power under the Constitution to enforce Section 3 concerning federal offices, especially the Presidency.”

While the Supreme Court’s ruling ended Democrat efforts in several states to bar Trump from the presidential ballot, Raskin and his Democrat co-sponsors believe his legislation is an alternate legal pathway to end the presumptive Republican nominee’s eligibility. The National Pulse has previously reported that some Congressional Democrats are also considering refusing to certify the 2024 election results should former President Trump recapture the White House.

THE QUIET PART OUT LOUD – Top Dem Lawyer Marc Elias Boasts That Trump Can’t Get Fair Trial in D.C.

Marc E. Elias, a prominent Democratic election attorney, raised concerns about the potential impartiality of a Washington, D.C. trial for former President Donald Trump in the wake of his primary defeat to Nimarata ‘Nikki’ Haley.

“In a city of 700,000, Donald Trump got 676 votes in the GOP primary. A tough jury pool,” Elias posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Elias, founder of the “Democracy Docket,” often represents Democrats in cases related to election disputes. He played a significant role in the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections, advocating for changes to voting laws that proved to be crucial for Democratic turnouts in critical states.

Former President Trump is facing criminal charges led by Special Counsel Jack Smith in the District of Columbia in connection to his efforts to contest the 2020 election outcome. Although generally involved in voting issues, Elias played a pivotal role in pushing the “Russia collusion” hoax.

Michelle Obama Issues Statement on Presidential Run Rumors.

The communications director for Michelle Obama has issued a statement concerning the long-standing rumor that the former First Lady is in the running for the Democratic nomination in the event Joe Biden is not top of the ticket.

“As former First Lady Michelle Obama has expressed several times over the years, she will not be running for president,” said Crystal Carson, Michelle Obama’s director of communications. “Mrs. Obama supports President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ re-election campaign.”

Former President Barack Obama has also pledged his support for Biden’s re-election, while a Biden campaign statement read:

“President and Michelle Obama were enormously helpful in the fight to beat Donald Trump and elect President Biden and Vice President Harris the first time, and we are grateful to have their voice and their support in the fight for the fate of our democracy this November.”

First Lady Jill Biden was asked about Michelle Obama as Biden’s potential running mate back in 2020. She retorted: “You know, I’d love it if Michelle would agree to it. But I — you know, I think she’s had it with politics. I don’t know. She’s so good at everything she does. That would — that would be wonderful.”

What You Need to Know About Super Tuesday.

Donald Trump is looking to put the final nail in the 2024 primary season coffin tomorrow as voters in over a dozen states head to the polls.

Super Tuesday is the biggest voting day of the primary season. On the Republican side, 15 states choose their nominee, and over 33% of delegates are up for grabs.

Let’s talk about those delegates: Candidates must win a majority of the 2,429 delegates up for grabs (1,215) to secure their party’s nomination. Currently:
Back to Super Tuesday: The states in the spotlight include Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, and Virginia.
  • Eight hundred fifty-four delegates are up for grabs.

Winner takes all states: Many big states voting on Tuesday have “winner take all” primaries. So whoever has the majority of votes will take all the delegates. There will be massive pickups in states like Texas (150 delegates) and California (169 delegates).

Zoom out: According to the Real Clear Politics average of all Republican primary polls, Trump leads Nikki Haley, 78.7% to 15.3%.

Big picture: While there aren’t enough delegates up for grabs on Super Tuesday to technically put Trump over the top, by the end of the night, he should be close enough to put an unofficial end to the GOP primary season and focus on the general election.

Anti-Misinformation AI Flagging Factual Stories As False.

Artificial intelligence hired by the Washington Secretary of State’s Office to monitor potential electionmisinformation’ has flagged multiple factual stories from The Center Square regarding evidence of noncitizens illegally voting. Logically — a UK-based AI company — was contracted by the Washington Secretary of State last year to scan for “false content” on various social platforms, including X (formerly Twitter).

The state contract with Logically tasks them with using their AI tools to identify “harmful narratives” concerning Washington’s elections and generate reports for the Secretary of State’s review. Last summer, Logically generated several reports, which included stories published by The Center Square regarding Washington state’s election laws and an incident in which a foreign national avoided prosecution after illegally voting 28 times.

According to the Logically reports – which don’t address the factual claims made by the news outlet – these stories were flagged as ‘misinformation’ because of how social media users interpreted them. The UK-based AI company flagged the first story because some social media users who read it concluded “…no government agency in Washington State has the mandate or authority to verify citizenship of registered voters, and some users claimed it represents intentional negligence by Washington authorities to enable voter fraud. Users claimed that this leads to foreign nationals regularly voting in Washington’s elections.”

The second story from The Center Square – regarding a foreign national who voted illegally 28 times – was flagged because it may “…motivate individuals to call for stricter voter registration laws and more oversight of the process.”

Derrick Nunnally, a spokesman for the Washington Secretary of State, said neither Logically nor the Secretary of State has used the reports to push for censorship of news stories. Nunnally also insisted the reports have not been used to push for labeling any social media users as having spread ‘misinformation’ either.

Biden Campaign Co-Chair Claims Deporting Illegals Will Harm America.

Democratic Texas Representative Veronica Escobar claimed there would be dangerous economic repercussions for deporting illegal immigrants. Appearing Friday on CNN Newsroom With Jim Acosta, the co-chair of President Joe Biden’s 2024 re-election campaign criticized former President Donald Trump for calling for the deportation of illegal immigrants.

“Democrats have been willing over the decades to not just address border security as a whole, but also to address our workforce needs and to make sure that we remain a country of immigrants,” Rep. Escobar told Acosta before adding: “Immigration is good for us economically.”

Escobar called former President Trump’s pledge to deport illegal immigrants “horrific” before claiming Trump wants to “take us back to an era where people feared being in their own country simply because they belong to a minority group.” The Biden campaign official insisted that “it is impossible to deport every undocumented person in this country.”

Illegal immigration has increased at an alarming rate under the Biden government. President Biden’s initial acts in office included repealing several Trump-era border policies, such as the Muslim travel ban and the Border Wall project.

The ongoing border crisis has become a top issue heading into November’s presidential election. Polling has consistently indicated voters overwhelmingly believe Trump is best suited to end the border invasion.

Supreme Court UNANIMOUSLY Rules Trump Must REMAIN on Ballot.

The Supreme Court of the United States has ruled that President Donald J. Trump may not be disqualified from the ballot by states, in the Trump v. Anderson case, brought by the 45th President of the United States in challenge to the state of Colorado’s attempts to keep him off the ballot.

Specifically, the opinion release Monday morning states: “We conclude that States may disqualify persons holding or attempting to hold state office. But States have no power under the Constitution to enforce Section 3 with respect to federal offices, especially the Presidency.”

The unconstitutional Colorado ruling was backed by billionaire George Soros, and the Colorado ruling was presided over by justices linked to former President Barack Hussein Obama, as well as donors to Hillary Clinton. The dissenting judges revealed at the time they had seen “nothing like” the court session that booted Trump from the ballot, adding: “I have been involved in the justice system for 33 years now, and what took place here doesn’t resemble anything I’ve seen in a courtroom.”

The National Pulse’s Will Upton detailed three months ago how and why the Supreme Court would overturn the Colorado decision. Last week, House Democrats signaled they would attempt to block a potential Trump election victory certification if the Supreme Court ruled in this way.

The ruling effectively puts to bed the multitude of Democrat-led attempts to kick Trump off the ballot in a number of states.

Massive Labor Union Endorses ‘Uncommitted’ Over Joe Biden.

The largest labor union in Washington state — the United Food and Commercial Workers — with a membership exceeding 50,000, has endorsed an ‘uncommitted’ stance for next month’s Democratic presidential primary. Union leaders cited concerns regarding President Joe Biden’s lack of political strength and his support for Israel‘s war against Hamas in Gaza as reasons for the endorsement choice.

Following an executive board vote on Wednesday, the union called Biden “an ally to workers” but expressed a lack of confidence in defeating the presumptive Republican nominee — former President Donald Trump — in the November election. According to the union’s statement, their recommendation to vote ‘uncommitted’ reflects a belief that this approach could strengthen the position of the eventual Democratic nominee.

Meanwhile, the union has pledged support for whoever may be the eventual Democratic Party nominee — promising to dispatch resources, staff, and members to campaign in any swing state to support their bid to defeat Trump. This move, though, underscores an implicit discontent within the Democratic base, as some factions remain uncertain about backing President Biden for re-election.

The divisions among Democrat rank-and-file were on display earlier this week in Michigan, a state with a significant Muslim and Arab American community opposed to Israel’s war against Hamas. About 13 percent of Democratic primary voters chose ‘uncommitted’ over Biden. Because of the solid anti-Biden showing in Michigan, at least two ‘uncommitted’ delegates will be present at the Democratic National Convention in August. The Washington union applauded the Michigan voters who opted for ‘uncommitted,’ urging Biden to endorse a lasting ceasefire and halt U.S. funding for the conflict.

JOE-BOTS! Tech Firm Aids Dem Election Efforts with AI.

A technology supporting Democratic candidates is leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) in its election outreach endeavors. Tech for Campaigns, which uses digital marketing and data for campaign purposes, is now utilizing generative AI to create digital advertisements and fundraising emails. These tools are ‘AI-aided,’ meaning they are managed and vetted by humans, and form part of a broader effort to help underfunded campaigns conserve resources and succeed in competitive races.

Jessica Alter, the co-founder of Tech for Campaigns, confirmed that the model has already produced results. The group, which originally utilized generative AI tools like Google’s Bard and ChatGPT, now plans to roll out its own suite of AI-enabled tools labeled “TFC Learning Engine.”

In 2023, an experiment across 14 Virginia campaigns showed that AI-aided emails garnered three to four times more fundraising dollars per work hour than solely human-written ones. “It can help generate ad ideas. It could help generate even regular marketing material like flyers and signs… and if you have data, it can help you analyze that data and pull out insight,” Alter said.

Generative AI garnered attention following the 2022 release of OpenAI’s product, ChatGPT, and has since expanded, offering tools that generate text, images, human voices, and video from simple prompts, diverging from previous AI technology that merely manipulated existing media.

However, this development occurs amid controversy surrounding AI’s use in politics. OpenAI declared in January that it won’t allow its applications for political campaigning. The Federal Communications Commission outlawed AI-generated robocalls following an impersonated call of President Joe Biden. AI companies have signed a pledge to prevent their algorithms from election interference use, and a bipartisan task force centered on AI was formed by House leaders to examine legal accountability for AI-caused election interference.
