COLUMBIA, South Carolina — President Donald J. Trump is projected to win the South Carolina primary, humiliating his last GOP competitor, Nikki Haley.
Trump arrived in Columbia having spoken at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Maryland earlier in the day. The National Pulse was in attendance at the South Carolina event, which erupted in cheers when Trump was named the winner just moments after polls closed.
Guests in attendance included Congressman Nancy Mace, Brexit leader Nigel Farage, and Senator Lindsay Graham.
Speaking to the assembled hundreds of supporters at the South Carolina State Fairgrounds, Trump stressed the importance of party unity in the face of another four years of Joe Biden.
