Marianne Williamson Unsuspends Her Campaign.

In a surprise move, Marianne Williamson, self-help author and 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful, has announced that she is “un-suspending” her presidential campaign. Williamson announced in a social media video following the results of the Michigan primary where, despite having previously suspended her campaign, she placed third behind Joe Biden and the “uncommitted” voters, slightly overtaking Minnesota congressman Dean Phillips. The decision to breathe new life into her presidential ambitions came as she expressed the belief that Democratic front-runner Joe Biden was not capable of defeating incumbent President Donald Trump, whom she referred to as a “fascist” and a “juggernaut of dark, dark vision.”

Williamson suspended her campaign on 7 February after failing to make substantial headway in the early state primaries of Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada. During her announcement, she drew attention to critical economic woes faced by the American public, such as medical debt and low minimum wage. She lamented that the government has become “of the corporations, by the corporations.” She also quoted Abraham Lincoln, suggesting that the government of the people was “perishing on our watch.”

Despite this announcement, Williamson remains notably behind in national polling averages, around 70 points behind Biden. Nevertheless, the campaign moves on to Super Tuesday, 5 March, in which 16 states and American Samoa will vote. With reference to Michael Bloomberg’s 2020 gain in American Samoa, Williamson alluded to the possibility of her victory in the territory. Williamson ended her address by imploring the American people to “spread the word” and challenge Trump’s “dark vision.”

DATA: Most Voters Say Democrat Lawfare Against Trump Is Election Interference.

A majority of voters believe Democrats are participating in “lawfare” against former President Donald Trump to compromise his chances in a future political race, a new Harvard Caps/Harris poll reveals.

When asked, “Do you think the Democrats today are engaged in lawfare – a campaign using the government and the legal system in biased ways to take out a political opponent?” Fifty-eight percent of respondents said yes. When the question was modified slightly — “Do you think the legal prosecutions of Donald Trump are fair and unrelated to politics, or do you think the democrats today are engaged in lawfare?” — 55 percent of respondents still agreed that the Democrats are unfairly using the legal system to remove a political opponent.

The poll, carried out in partnership with the Center for American Political Studies at Harvard University, surveyed 2,022 voters. Notably, a considerable 65 percent believed that President Biden shared classified and top-secret information with those penning his memoirs. Sixty-two percent think he should face prosecution for it.

The same poll revealed that Trump would still beat Biden in the election even if “convicted for inciting the Capitol riots of January 6th.”

REPORT: Biden Foreign Policy Flubs Have Emboldened a Nuclear North Korea.

President Joe Biden’s weakness in tackling global conflicts in Eastern Europe and the Middle East has emboldened North Korea and Kim Jong-Un. The communist dictator appears to have moved away from using nuclear weapons as bargaining chips for international aid and instead intends to use them for both deterrence – and worryingly – potential regional aggression.

In 2021, North Korea’s dictator Kim Jong-Un stepped up long-range ballistic missile tests — along with rolling out a range of new weapons meant for use in a regional war with South Korea and Japan. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has become a testing ground for some of North Korea’s newest weapons developments. The East-Asian communist state has sent 6,700 containers of munitions to Russia for use in Ukraine.

After former President Donald Trump engaged Kim Jong-Un, the communist state suspended long-range ballistic missile tests starting in 2018. Those tests resumed less than a year into Bidne’s presidency.  In 2022, North Korea tested its largest long-range ballistic missile yet. “This miraculous victory is a priceless victory,” Kim Jong-Un said at the time. Unlike previous tests five years earlier, neither China nor Russia condemned North Korea’s missile launch.

In January, the North Korean dictator announced he was abandoning peace discussions and possible reunification with South Korea. Now, the North Korean military is signaling it intends to take a more aggressive and combative stance in both East Asia and against U.S. interests in the region.

“What worries me the most is they’ve continued to increase the size and sophistication of their nuclear arsenal and delivery means,” said Siegfried S. Hecker, a former weapons inspector who has visited North Korean nuclear facilities, in an interview with The Wall Street Journal. Estimates now place the North Korean nuclear arsenal as high as 50 to 60 warheads.

Obama Staffers Say Biden’s Age, Mental State Are a ‘Very Real Issue.’

Top aides who served under former President Barack Obama say voter concerns regarding President Joe Biden’s age, health, and cognitive state are a very real problem for the 81-year-old’s re-election effort. Now hosts of the popular progressive podcast Pod Save America, Obama speechwriters Jon Favreau and Jon Lovett argue Biden has visibly declined compared to just a few years ago.

“If you watch Joe Biden speak, oftentimes he sounds frail, and he sounds more frail than he used to, even in 2019 and 2020,” Favreau noted before adding: “The voice sounds frail, and he shuffles more because of the arthritis in his back.”

Lovett contends, however, that the White House staff needs to get Biden out in public more, even if it means risking increased gaffes. The two Obama speechwriters agreed that the lack of public and press events is more likely to fuel voter concerns regarding Biden’s age than the gaffes.

“I’m sure that going out there means more missteps … more gaffes that start circulating, but if you don’t view Biden being out there as a net positive, then the argument he shouldn’t be running is right,” Lovett said. Favreau, in agreement with Lovett, added: “When world events seem like they are overtaking him and he’s not out there enough forcefully, that’s what’s getting people concerned.”

Another former Obama White House aide echoed the concerns of Favreau and Lovett. Former Obama senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer recently told the Courier that Biden’s age has become a “very real issue.” He said: “If Biden can’t assuage, particularly among his voters from 2020, then I don’t think he can win the election — so in some ways, it’s the crux for his campaign.”

‘Uncommitted’ Vote is ‘A Favor’ to Biden, Claims Michigan Organizer.

“Our movement is actually a favor to President Biden, the people around him,” said Abbas Alawieh, spokesman for the group Listen to Michigan, which organized the “Uncommitted” vote effort that garnered over 100,00 votes – or 13 percent – in Michigan’s Democratic Party on Tuesday.

Alawieh, a former chief of staff for the progressive Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO), added: “We’re telling you exactly what you need to do to win in Michigan.” With just three weeks to organize and a little over $200,000 in funding, Listen to Michigan launched a protest vote effort that has become a significant concern for Democrats and the Biden re-election campaign.

The campaign, geared to express discontent over the Israel-Hamas war and supported by organizational efforts like phone banks, encouraged voters to leave their ballots “uncommitted” instead of voting for Biden.

Biden obtained 81 percent of the vote with “uncommitted” achieving 13 percent, prompting pro-Gaza protestors to declare the results a victory.

Arab Americans form a substantial segment of Michigan’s population and are a key demographic for Biden’s bid for presidency. A considerable boycott by Arab-American voters could potentially shift the outcome of the general election. Significantly, the “uncommitted” campaign surpassed its target of 10,000 votes, a figure that had been previously pronounced underwhelming compared to prior Democratic primaries.

Michigan houses over 300,000 Arab Americans, making it one of the largest Arab populations outside the Middle East. With polls indicating a growing disillusionment among Democrats against Israel, the Biden campaign might find itself in a challenging position.

Former President Donald Trump captured over 750,000 votes in the state compared to Nikki Haley’s 294,000.

Poll Shows Trump Beating Biden by Up to 10 Points Across All Seven Swing States.

Donald Trump is maintaining his lead over Joe Biden in all seven swing states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

The former president’s poll lead over his 81-year-old successor is as high as 10 points in Nevada, with similarly high nine-point leads in North Carolina and Georgia. Biden officially won Nevada and Georgia in 2020, the latter by just 11,779 votes.

Trump polls six points ahead of Biden in Arizona, five points ahead of Biden in Pennsylvania, four points ahead of Biden in Wisconsin, and three points ahead of Biden in Michigan, where the Democrat is struggling to retain the support of Muslims angry at his stance on the Israel-Hamas war. Biden officially won all of these states in 2020.

Professor John Lott, a senior adviser for research and statistics at the Justice Department’s Office of Justice Programs, estimated up to 368,000 “excess votes” were cast for Biden across Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin in 2020.

Lott raised particular concern over the enormous expansion of absentee ballots in 2020, noting that “35 of the 47 countries in Europe ban absentee voting entirely” due to fraud concerns.

Trump Trounces Haley in Michigan Primary, But…

Donald Trump has emerged victorious in the Michigan primary. The former president had been leading by between 43 and 60 points in polls published before voting began on Tuesday. But a majority of the Michigan GOP’s delegates are awarded on Saturday, at a state party convention with its own chaos.

Saturday will see two GOP conventions, both claiming to be the authentic one that will assign 39 delegates versus tonight’s 16. One will be chaired by Pete Hoekstra, recognized by the Republican National Committee. The second convention is chaired by Kristina Karamo, the former official chairman whom Hoekstra ousted in January.

Karamo claims the ouster was illegal, while Bethany Wheeler, a state committee member, offered the following analogy:

“If this was a corporation, that’s the board. They’ve now fired the CEO, basically. She can fight it. But the fact of the matter is she was removed by the state committee, and now they are in charge.”

A judge also ruled Karamo is no longer chairman.

Donald Trump is expected to outperform expectations tonight, as things stand, while Joe Biden appears to be getting decimated by “Uncommitted” in the Democrat Michigan Primary.

‘You’re Losing Progressives,’ Far Left Leader Warns Biden As Campaign Panics Over ‘Palestine.’

Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) – a supposed whisperer for the American far-left – has warned President Joe Biden that his continued support of Israel in its war with Hamas is costing him the progressive vote.

Khanna revealed the conversation, which took place when he was campaigning with the President in South Carolina, in an interview with POLITICO about the Biden campaign’s desperate attempts at damage control with Michigan’s Arab and Muslim community ahead of Tuesday’s primary.

“I said, ‘You’re losing progressives, you need to change,'” Khanna said. “He said, ‘Ro, I hear you. I understand. I understand that people are upset, and I am pushing Bibi [Netanyahu].'”

Khanna also reported that Biden’s recent claims of an imminent cease-fire between Israel and Hamas were an obvious attempt to woo back Arab and Muslim voters in Michigan and progressives across the country. “Nothing in politics is a coincidence,” he said. “This is happening because the president is hearing that a large part of his coalition wants this war to end.”

Anti-Biden sentiment among progressives and within Michigan’s Arab and Muslim communities — key constituents whose support Biden will need if he hopes to win the state in the election — has grown substantially. “There is a deep sense of hurt and loss, pain, grief among the Muslim and Arab American community and the progressive community,” Khanna said.

Biden has dispatched numerous campaign surrogates to Michigan — a state he hasn’t visited since February 1st — in an effort to ramp up outreach to Arab Americans and win back progressives. However, popular campaigns in Michigan to get Democratic primary voters to vote ‘uncommitted‘ suggest the outreach has failed.

Previewing Tonight’s Michigan Primary Elections.

Both Republicans and Democrats head to the polls today for Michigan’s primary elections. And while Joe Biden is the only pony in the Democrat race, there’s serious drama brewing that could preview his challenges in the 2024 general election.

Previewing the Democrat primary: When polls open at 7 AM EST, Democrat voters will get to choose between Joe Biden, Rep. Dean Phillips, and Marianne Williamson or cast an “uncommitted” vote.

  • The latest poll has Joe Biden at 77 percent support, with Phillips a distant second with 7 percent.
  • The ‘uncommitted’ factor: A coalition of Arab and Muslim leaders in Michigan, led by Rep. Rashida Tlaib, are urging their fellow Democrats to vote “uncommitted” tonight to protest Joe Biden’s support for Israel in its conflict with Hamas in Gaza.
  • It’s estimated that Arab Americans in Michigan make up 3.1 percent of the population.

Previewing the GOP primary: For once, the Republican primary is the low-drama side of the night, with polling showing Donald Trump holding a dominating 57-point lead (78.7 to 21.8 percent) over his only challenger, Nikki Haley.

2024 implications: According to the official vote tally, Joe Biden won Michigan in 2020 by about 3 points (50.6 to 47.8 percent). But polling at the time had him down by almost 10 points. As we head into 2024, the polling is completely flipped:

  • Trump has led Biden in 7 out 8 of the most recent major polls. The most recent poll has Trump up by 4 points in the state.

DATA: Trump Beats Biden Even if Criminally Convicted.

New polling indicates Donald Trump would defeat Joe Biden by a clear eight points even if he was “convicted for inciting the Capitol riots of January 6th,” 54 percent to 46 percent.

Broken down by party affiliation, the poll of 2,022 registered voters had 91 percent of Republicans saying they would vote for Trump in November despite a Jan 6 conviction — undermining the narrative that the GOP base would abandon him post-conviction. Fifty-eight percent of Independents also said they would still vote for the former president.

Pollsters also asked who respondents would vote for if Trump is convicted in embattled Fulton Country District Attorney Fani Willis’s Georgia election interference case. In this scenario, Trump defeats Biden by four points, 52-48, with GOP support at 93 percent and Independent support at 55 percent.

If convicted in the classified documents case, Trump would tie Biden 50-50, with GOP support at 94 percent and Independent support at 39 percent.

A majority of poll respondents, 54 percent, said they believe the prosecution efforts against Trump are politically motivated.

Meanwhile, 72 percent said Hunter Biden “should serve jail time” if he is convicted of tax evasion, and 71 percent said Joe Biden should be impeached “if [he] was working with his son and brother to help bring in multimillion dollars fees from China, Russia and Ukraine while he was Vice President.”
