Dem-Backed Illegal Charged With Staging ICE ‘Kidnapping’ to Solicit Donations.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A Mexican illegal alien backed by Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass (D) has been charged with allegedly staging her own “kidnapping” by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to solicit donations.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Yuriana Julia Pelaez Calderon, her daughter, Karen Bass, and federal law enforcement agencies.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Los Angeles, California, with events unfolding in June and July 2023.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Dangerous rhetoric that ICE agents are ‘kidnapping’ illegal immigrants is being recklessly peddled by politicians and echoed in the media to inflame the public.” – U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli

🎯IMPACT: The scheme diverted valuable law enforcement resources, according to HSI Special Agent Eddy Wang.

IN FULL

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is charging Yuriana Julia Pelaez Calderon, a 41-year-old Mexican illegal alien residing in South Los Angeles, with conspiracy and making false statements after she allegedly orchestrated her own “kidnapping” by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to gain sympathy and solicit donations. The alleged conwoman had received the public backing of Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass (D), who said in a July 1 social media post, “She’s a mother from LA—taken out of her car on her way to work, and then held in a warehouse as officers hoped she would ‘self-deport.’ No hearing. Just fear. This doesn’t make anyone safer.”

A press conference by Calderon’s attorneys and relations claimed she was abducted by uniformed men in unmarked vehicles on June 25. Attorney Stephano Medina alleged that Calderon was held by “bounty hunters” who attempted to coerce her into signing self-deportation documents. However, an affidavit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California alleges Calderon and others staged the incident as a hoax, with her daughter setting up a GoFundMe page to raise $4,500.

Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) launched an inquiry after the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) received a missing persons report. Investigators found inconsistencies, including calls Calderon allegedly made from “borrowed phones” that were traced back to her own number. Surveillance footage also contradicted claims of a forced abduction, showing Calderon calmly leaving the scene in a sedan without alerting nearby officers.

HSI agents eventually located Calderon in Bakersfield, California, where she continued to claim she had been “kidnapped.” U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli criticized the false narrative, stating, “Dangerous rhetoric that ICE agents are ‘kidnapping’ illegal immigrants is being recklessly peddled by politicians and echoed in the media to inflame the public.”

HSI Special Agent Eddy Wang emphasized the resource strain caused by the hoax, noting, “The real cost of a fraud like this is the amount of fentanyl not seized, child predators not removed from the communities, and human trafficking victims not rescued.”

Calderon faces up to five years in federal prison for each charge.

ICE Agent Dragged for a Block By Illegal Immigrant.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: An illegal immigrant allegedly dragged a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer with his van for an entire block during an attempted escape in Dallas, Texas.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Honduran national Jose Melgar-Rivas and ICE officers.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The incident occurred in Dallas, Texas, with details posted by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Attacks on our officers will NOT be tolerated. This resulted in multiple injuries to the officer’s body and ended with Jose Melgar-Rivas in cuffs.” – ICE via a post on X.

🎯IMPACT: The officer sustained multiple injuries, and Melgar-Rivas now faces charges of assaulting a federal officer alongside his existing removal order.

IN FULL

A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer was dragged for an entire block by a van driven by Honduran national Jose Melgar-Rivas during an attempted detention in Dallas, Texas. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) detailed the incident in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday.

According to ICE, Melgar-Rivas attempted to flee by accelerating his vehicle, dragging the officer and leaving him with severe injuries, including bruising and friction burns. The DHS highlighted the case as an example of the growing danger federal officers face, noting an 830 percent increase in assaults on ICE personnel between January 21 and July 14 compared to the same timeframe in 2024. The agency attributed this rise in part to inflammatory rhetoric from “sanctuary” politicians, which incites hostility toward ICE agents.

“Attacks on our officers will NOT be tolerated,” ICE stated on X. “This resulted in multiple injuries to the officer’s body and ended with Jose Melgar-Rivas in cuffs.”

Melgar-Rivas, who already had a final order of removal, now faces additional charges of assaulting a federal officer.

VOA Employee Charged for Alleged Death Threats Against Marjorie Taylor Greene.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A Voice of America (VOA) employee was arrested on federal charges for allegedly making death threats against Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and her family.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Suspect Seth Jason and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Arrest took place on Thursday; threats reportedly made between October 2023 and January 2025.

💬KEY QUOTE: “No one should have to live their life looking over their shoulder every day and wondering if those threats are about to be fulfilled and about to come true.” – Acting U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro

🎯IMPACT: The arrest highlights ongoing concerns about threats to elected representatives.

IN FULL

Seth Jason, a 64-year-old resident of Edgewater, Maryland, was arrested on Thursday after being indicted on multiple federal charges. Jason is accused of making death threats against Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), her family, and her staff over the course of more than a year.

The indictment alleges that Jason repeatedly called Greene’s district offices between October 2023 and January 2025, threatening to assault and kill her and her family. He also allegedly used phone lines connected to Voice of America (VOA) headquarters in Washington, where he was employed, to issue these threats.

During a news conference, Acting U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro stressed the severity of such threats, stating, “No one should have to live their life looking over their shoulder every day and wondering if those threats are about to be fulfilled and about to come true.” She also read one of Jason’s alleged messages, which said, “I am looking forward to your book signing. We are all armed and ready to take care of you.”

Jason, who had also volunteered as a reserve officer for the Anne Arundel County Police Department since 2016, is no longer affiliated with the department. In a statement, the department clarified that its reserve officers are unarmed and have no police authority.

Capitol Police Chief Michael Sullivan referenced a recent politically motivated shooting in Minnesota, emphasizing the need to hold individuals accountable for such threats. “This has got to stop,” Sullivan said. “We are going to work very, very hard to hold you accountable if you make these threats.”

The case is just the latest example of political threats and violence against conservatives, and comes just a year after the attempted assassination of President Donald J. Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, by shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks.

Businessman, Police Chiefs Indicted for Obtaining Visas for Illegals.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Federal prosecutors have filed a 62-count indictment against a Louisiana businessman and four senior law enforcement officials over an alleged scheme to use false police reports to obtain U-Visa status for illegal immigrants who paid them tens of thousands of dollars.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Local Louisiana businessman Chandrakant “Lala” Patel; Chad Doyle, Chief of Police for the City of Oakdale; Glynn Dixon, Chief of Police for the City of Forest Hill; Tebo Onishea, former Chief of Police for the City of Glenmora; Michael “Freck” Slaney, Marshal of the Ward 5 Marshal’s Office in Oakdale; and unnamed illegal immigrants.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The indictment was revealed on July 16, 2025; the scheme is alleged to have taken place from at least December 26, 2015, until July 15, 2025.

💬KEY QUOTE: According to the Department of Justice (DOJ), “[T]he defendants each face a sentence of up to five years in prison on the conspiracy charge; up to 10 years on the visa fraud charges; up to 20 years on the mail fraud charge; and Patel faces up to 10 years on the bribery charge. In addition, they could be ordered to pay a fine of up to $250,000 on each count. “

🎯IMPACT: The federal charges raise questions regarding the legitimacy of U-Visa status and the potential for the program’s abuse.

IN FULL

The U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Louisiana has moved to indict three local Louisiana police chiefs, a city marshal, and a prominent business leader over an alleged immigration fraud scheme that gamed the U nonimmigrant status (“U-Visa”) system.

According to the 62-count indictment, local Louisiana businessman Chandrakant Patel—also known as “Lala”—conspired from at least December 26, 2015, until July 15, 2025 with Chad Doyle, Chief of Police for the City of Oakdale; Glynn Dixon, Chief of Police for the City of Forest Hill; Tebo Onishea, former Chief of Police for the City of Glenmora; and Michael “Freck” Slaney, Marshal of the Ward 5 Marshal’s Office in Oakdale to fabricate crimes in which illegal immigrants or legal immigrants with expiring status would be named as victims or witnesses. This allowed the immigrants to falsely obtain a U-Visa, allowing them to remain in the United States legally.

Federal prosecutors allege that illegal and legal immigrants would contact Patel either directly or through an intermediary to request to be named as “victims” in false police reports, paying Patel tens of thousands of dollars for the criminal act. Subsequently, after payment, Patel would proceed to contact either Doyle, Slaney, Dixon, or Onishea in order to have a false police report, usually regarding armed robbery, created with the immigrant’s name listed as the victim or witness. This would then allow the immigrant to file an application for a U-Visa, with the police report nearly guaranteeing they would secure status.

Notably, the U nonimmigrant status or U-Visa was created in 2000 through Congress’s adoption of the Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act. The law’s intent is to aid law enforcement investigations by granting the ability to provide certain legal protections to illegal immigrants who are either victims or material witnesses to a crime—effecively removing the threat of deportation in exchange for their cooperation.

According to the Department of Justice (DOJ), “[T]he defendants each face a sentence of up to 5 years in prison on the conspiracy charge; up to 10 years on the visa fraud charges; up to 20 years on the mail fraud charge; and Patel faces up to 10 years on the bribery charge. In addition, they could be ordered to pay a fine of up to $250,000 on each count. “

California Professor Arrested for Attacking ICE Agents with Tear Gas.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A California professor was arrested for allegedly throwing a tear gas canister at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents during a raid on a cannabis farm suspected of forced labor and trafficking violations.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Jonathan Anthony Caravello, a math professor at California State University Channel Islands, ICE agents, federal law enforcement, and protesters.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The raid occurred last week at Glass House Farms in Ventura County, California. Caravello appeared in court on Monday.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Professor Jonathan Caravello was not ‘kidnapped’ by federal agents. He was arrested for throwing a tear gas canister at law enforcement.” – U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli

🎯IMPACT: Over 350 illegal aliens were arrested, and 14 children were rescued from potential forced labor and trafficking. Violent clashes erupted during the raid.

IN FULL

Jonathan Anthony Caravello, a professor at California State University Channel Islands, was arrested by federal agents during a raid at Glass House Farms in Ventura County, California. The raid led to the arrest of more than 350 illegal aliens, with allegations of forced labor, exploitation, and trafficking violations involving 14 children.

According to U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli, Caravello was charged with a violation of 18 USC 111 for assaulting, resisting, or impeding a federal officer. A number of far-left activists attempted to claim that federal agents had “kidnapped” Caravello; however, Essayli revealed that the professor was arrested for throwing a tear gas canister at law enforcement.

“Professor Jonathan Caravello was not ‘kidnapped’ by federal agents. He was arrested for throwing a tear gas canister at law enforcement,” Essayli said. Caravello appeared in court on Monday and was released on a $15,000 bond.

The California Faculty Association (CFA) labor union defended Caravello, stating, “Jonathan is a deeply committed educator and mentor who showed up for their students and immigrant communities—and for that, they were targeted.”

Bodycam footage reportedly showed Caravello throwing a tear gas canister at agents and resisting arrest. He later returned to the scene in different clothes and was identified as the alleged canister thrower. The affidavit also accuses him of using a megaphone with siren sounds to disrupt the ICE operation.

The raid, which is believed to be the second-largest single-state U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) worksite operation in history, saw violent clashes between ICE agents and approximately 500 protesters. Some protesters waved Mexican flags, and one individual allegedly fired a handgun toward agents. Federal law enforcement used tear gas to disperse the crowd.

Immigration authorities are now analyzing the criminal histories of the 319 detained illegal aliens, while the rescued children, primarily from Mexico and Honduras, are in care.

Dem DA Won’t Charge Trans Sex Predator Who Tried to Abduct a Child.

A left-wing Colorado District Attorney (DA) plans to drop charges against a transgender sex offender accused of trying to abduct a child from an elementary school.

The details: Solomon Galligan, 33, a registered sex offender, was caught on surveillance video entering the playground at Black Forest Hills Elementary in Aurora in April 2024.

  • The creep tried to snatch a young child but tripped and took off running. He was later found by police.

Incompetent: After a court-ordered evaluation, Galligan was diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and found mentally incompetent to stand trial.

  • Galligan will instead be sent to a mental health treatment facility.

Back up: Galligan was previously placed on the sex offender registry after being convicted of non-consensual sexual contact. He’s been in and out of jail for 12 years.

Did I mention he’s trans too? Galligan began hormone treatments in 2011 and publicly identified as transgender.

Backlash: DA Amy Padden, a Democrat, has faced fierce backlash for her decision to let Galligan skirt jail time.

  • Aurora City Councilwoman Danielle Jurinsky, a Republican, is leading a recall effort, saying her “progressive attitude will not be tolerated.”

The last word goes to Solomon’s own niece, who told reporters: “This has been like the fourth time… How the hell did he get released?”

Revealed: Dangerous, Criminal Pasts of Migrants at ‘Alligator Alcatraz.’

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: New details from the Florida Attorney General’s office reveal that migrants awaiting deportation at the “Alligator Alcatraz” detention center include those convicted of serious crimes such as murder, rape, and organized crime.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Florida Attorney General’s office, Communications Director Jeremy Redfern, several convicted criminals awaiting deportation, and President Donald J. Trump.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The detention facility, known as “Alligator Alcatraz,” opened earlier this month in the Everglades, Florida.

💬KEY QUOTE: “It’s known as ‘Alligator Alcatraz,’ which is very appropriate, because I looked outside, and that’s not a place I want to go hiking anytime soon.” — President Donald J. Trump

🎯IMPACT: The facility is housing dangerous migrants, including murderers and gang members, who are bound for deportation.

IN FULL

Florida officials have disclosed the criminal histories of several migrants currently held at a new state-run detention facility known as “Alligator Alcatraz.” The information, released by the office of Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier, outlines the serious offenses committed by several individuals awaiting deportation.

The left-wing press continues to spend their time amplifying false reports, but the reality is that there are monsters awaiting deportation within Alligator Alcatraz far worse than the monsters lurking in the surrounding Everglades,” said a spokesman for Uthmeier.

Among those detained is Lazaro Rodriguez Santana, a Cuban national who was convicted in Texas for sexual assault and for failing to register as a sex offender. Jose Fortin, a citizen of Honduras, was found guilty of second-degree murder in Miami-Dade County. Another Honduran detainee, Oscar “Satan” Sanchez, reportedly affiliated with the notoriously violent MS-13 gang, was convicted in New York of conspiracy to commit murder, assault, and charges under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.

Other individuals include Guatemalan national Luis Donald Corado, who was convicted of burglary and voyeurism, and Wilfredo Alberto Lazama-Garcia of Venezuela, wanted in his home country for murder and robbery, and convicted in the U.S. for conspiracy to defraud the federal government.

Particularly disturbing is the case of Eddy Lopez Jemot, a Cuban national with convictions for murder, arson, and assault. According to authorities, Jemot slit an elderly woman’s throat in Key Largo, Florida, and set her home ablaze. He also reportedly later threatened to behead another woman.

“Alligator Alcatraz,” located in Florida and opened earlier this month, is backed by the state government and expected to utilize repurposed Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) funding. President Donald J. Trump recently toured the facility and remarked, It’s known as ‘Alligator Alcatraz,’ which is very appropriate, because I looked outside, and that’s not a place I want to go hiking anytime soon.” He added, “But very soon, this facility will have some of the most menacing migrants, some of the most vicious people on the planet.”

Farage: The ‘Grooming Gangs’ Scandal Is Getting Even Worse.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: An English police force has launched an investigation into allegations that records were falsified in a “grooming gang” case involving a father’s attempts to rescue his daughter from Pakistani-heritage rapists.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Reform Party leader Nigel Farage, South Yorkshire Police, the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), and “Jack” (a pseudonym) alongside his daughter “Elizabeth” (also a pseudonym).

📍WHEN & WHERE: The events occurred in Rotherham, England, in 2005, with recent developments unfolding in 2025.

💬KEY QUOTE: “However bad we thought the grooming gang scandal was, it just got worse.” – Nigel Farage

🎯IMPACT: Calls for the Rotherham incident to be included in an official national inquiry into grooming gangs have intensified.

IN FULL

Reform Party leader Nigel Farage has raised concerns over Britain’s child sexual “grooming gang” scandal, stating it is “getting worse” following reports of police corruption in Rotherham, England.

These reports suggest that records may have been falsified to cover up two arrests of a father, “Jack,” who was attempting to rescue his daughter, “Elizabeth,” from a rape gang in 2005. South Yorkshire Police has confirmed it has launched an investigation into the allegations.

Farage said, “However bad we thought the grooming gang scandal was, it just got worse.” He also stated on X that “South Yorkshire Police have failed yet again in their duty to protect children.”

Jack reported that his daughter was abused and trafficked by a gang over a 10-week period. Despite making “hundreds” of reports to South Yorkshire Police, Jack claims it is he who was arrested twice while trying to rescue Elizabeth. Police records covering the period show inconsistencies, including an address listed for Jack that he did not live at until years later.

The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) reviewed complaints made by Elizabeth, upholding several but not the claim regarding Jack’s arrests due to insufficient evidence. In 2021, the IOPC referred the matter back to South Yorkshire Police, which has now decided to investigate itself.

The investigation coincides with Home Secretary Yvette Cooper‘s announcement that nearly 1,000 previously closed grooming cases have been reopened as part of a national inquiry into grooming gangs. Farage has called for the Rotherham case to be included in this inquiry.

A government-commissioned report on Britain’s grooming gangs, comprised largely of South Asian Muslims preying on working-class white girls, was released last month. It showed that in many cases, the ethnicity of the gangs was not recorded or was ignored. Notably, grooming gang abuse went unchecked for years because the police and other authorities feared stoking racism or being accused of racism if they tackled it properly.

Despite this, the report still noted that Pakistani-background men were vastly overrepresented in grooming gang activity, contrary to establishment claims that such overrepresentation is a myth.

Feds Offer $50k Reward After Man Opens Fire on ICE Agents During Raid.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A suspect reportedly fired a handgun at federal agents during an immigration raid in California.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Federal law enforcement officers and an unknown gunman.

📍WHEN & WHERE: July 10 at approximately 2:26 PM, near Camarillo, California, on Laguna Road.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Make no mistake: anyone who targets our agents will face the full force of federal prosecution.” – U.S. Customs and Border Protection

🎯IMPACT: The Federal Bureau of Investigation is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to a conviction.

IN FULL

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is offering a $50,000 reward for a man who was filmed firing on federal agents with a handgun during a July 10 immigration raid at a California marijuana farm. The incident occurred at approximately 2:26 PM on Laguna Road, near Camarillo, California.

The identity of the gunman remains unknown as of the time of publication, prompting an urgent call for information. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) emphasized the seriousness of the shooting, stating, “Make no mistake: anyone who targets our agents will face the full force of federal prosecution.”

The raid saw federal agents deploy rubber bullets and tear gas as pro-illegal immigrant agitators attempted to disrupt the raid, which was heavily criticized by Governor Gavin Newsom. “Kids running from tear gas, crying on the phone because their mother was just taken from the fields. Trump calls me ‘Newscum’—but he’s the real scum,” the Democrat railed on social media.

Trump’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) shot back, “Why are there children working at a marijuana facility, Gavin?” U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) subsequently confirmed that the raid uncovered ten illegal alien children, eight of them unaccompanied, at the farm, which is now under investigation for potentially exploiting child labor.

The Trump administration has blamed anti-ICE rhetoric from senior Democrats for increasingly violent attacks in recent days, including a sniper ambush at a Texas ICE facility that left a policeman with a gunshot to the neck, and an attempted mass shooting at a Border Patrol base elsewhere in the same state.

In California, one Democratic vice mayor has gone so far as to publicly berate the violent Latino gangs 18th Street and Florencia 13 for failing to confront ICE, suggesting they are not defending their “turf” against “the biggest gang there is.”
