‘Suspicious Packages’ Sent to Election Officials Turns Out to be Flour.

Suspicious packages were distributed to election officials in at least six states on Monday. The states targeted were Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Tennessee, Wyoming, and Oklahoma. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and U.S. Postal Service are currently conducting an investigation into the matter.

This incident marks the second time within a year that multiple states have received suspicious packages aimed at election officials, causing disruptions during a critical voting period. The scare comes as early voting is underway in key elections, including the presidential race and various congressional and statehouse seats.

Several states identified a white powder in the envelopes sent to their election offices. Tests on the material revealed it was mostly harmless substances. In Oklahoma’s case, officials confirmed the substance to be flour. However, Wyoming has not yet disclosed the composition of the material received.

The packages prompted an evacuation of the Lucas State Office Building in Des Moines, Iowa. Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate indicated that their emergency protocols were immediately implemented. “We immediately reported the incident per our protocols,” Pate said following the evacuation.

Similar evacuation procedures took place in Topeka, Kansas, where both the secretary of state’s and attorney general’s offices were targeted. Topeka Fire Department says field tests showed no hazardous materials.

Previous similar incidents occurred last November, affecting several states. Some of those letters contained fentanyl.

‘Data Entry Issue’ Allowed Over 300 Noncitizens to Register to Vote In This U.S. State.

State government officials in Oregon are acknowledging that at least 300 noncitizens have been able to register to vote in the state since 2021. The Oregon Department of Transportation claims the illegal voter registrations were the result of a “data entry issue.”

According to state officials, of the 306 noncitizens who registered to vote, at least two cast ballots in elections after 2021. Noncitizens are prohibited from voting in both Oregon state and federal elections.

Concerningly, Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Administrator Amy Joyce says she expects state investigators to uncover more illegal registrations and potentially more instances of noncitizens casting ballots in the coming weeks. Just under half of U.S. states have some form of automatic voter registration (AVR) when an individual files for or renews a driver’s license or submits paperwork with a state government agency.

AUTOMATIC REGISTRATION ISSUES.

Oregon passed its automatic voter registration law just over a decade ago. Considered a “back-end” AVR system, when an individual files paperwork with the state, that information is sent on to state election officials who determine whether the individual is legally allowed to vote and subsequently register those eligible. Proponents of the system claim it is secure and avoids potential fraudulent registrations. However, in Oregon’s case, a simple data entry error appears to pose a significant weakness in its security.

Addressing the issue, Oregon Secretary of State LaVonne Griffin-Valade said those believed to have been registered in error “will be notified by mail that they will not receive a ballot unless they demonstrate that they are eligible to vote.”

Automatic voter registration has resulted in significant problems with noncitizen voters in several states. The National Pulse has previously reported on instances of fraudulent noncitizen registrations in Illinois and Pennsylvania. Even in states without AVR policies, noncitizens have been able to register and illegally vote, as shown by a federal investigation in North Carolina.

Democrat-Controlled PA Supreme Court Rules Mail-In Ballots Require Correct Date.

The Democrat-controlled Pennsylvania Supreme Court has overturned a lower court’s decision regarding the necessity of correct dates on mail-in ballots. The ruling, issued Friday, mandated that mail ballots must include the correct handwritten dates to be considered valid.

Last month, a lower court ruled against discarding mail-in ballots for incorrect handwritten dates on their envelopes. However, the state’s highest court nullified this decision after an appeal from the Republican National Committee (RNC) and the Pennsylvania GOP. Conservative attorney Mike Davis called the ruling a “Major win for election integrity in Pennsylvania” in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

The state Supreme Court’s ruling emphasized the procedural error in the original case.

“The Commonwealth Court lacked subject matter jurisdiction to review the matter given the failure to name the county boards of elections of all 67 counties,” the court stated in its order on Friday.

A coalition of Democrat Party-aligned voting rights groups, represented by the ACLU and the Public Interest Law Center, presented the legal challenge. They argued that requiring a correct date on mail-in ballots imposes an unconstitutional restriction according to state law.

Meanwhile, the high court’s decision did not address the constitutional arguments put forward by the Democrat-aligned voting rights coalition. This leaves the broader question of whether date requirements infringe on state constitutional rights unresolved and will likely prompt additional legal challenges to the law.

The Latest on the SAVE Act and the Spending Bill Showdown.

House Republicans are gearing up for a showdown over government funding, with the conservative-backed SAVE Act at the center of the storm.

What is the SAVE Act? It would require proof of citizenship to register for federal elections. The House passed the bill in June, but it was never brought to a vote by the Democrat-controlled Senate.

The conflict: Republicans, including Speaker Mike Johnson and Donald Trump, want to tie the SAVE Act to the upcoming short-term funding package. The deadline to pass the package and avoid a government shutdown is September 30. The bill is overwhelmingly popular with Republicans, but some are concerned about the political fallout that could come from a shutdown just weeks before the election.

  • For it: Trump recently wrote on Truth Social: “DEMOCRATS ARE TRYING TO ‘STUFF’ VOTER REGISTRATIONS WITH ILLEGAL ALIENS. DON’T LET IT HAPPEN – CLOSE IT DOWN!!!”
  • Against it: Republicans in vulnerable House seats like Rep. Nick LaLota in New York said: “Allowing a shutdown means we could lose the House majority.”
  • It’s worth noting that some Republicans are against it, not because of the SAVE Act, but because they don’t want to pass a “continuing resolution” spending bill that continues funding the government at current reckless levels.

Big picture: Last month, we reported that Texas found over 6,000 illegal aliens on its voter rolls. Similarly, Virginia also found over 6,000 illegals on their voter rolls. The margins of the upcoming presidential election will be slim. A few thousand illegals voting could be the deciding factor in key swing states.

What happens next? The combo spending bill + SAVE Act was supposed to go to a vote yesterday, but Speaker Johnson pulled it because he did not have enough Republicans’ support.

Congress Initiates Poll Watcher Program in Unprecedented Election Security Drive.

The House of Representatives is launching a new phase of the Election Observer Program designed to enhance transparency in the competitive fight for control of Congress. The initiative focuses on increasing accountability at the polls, particularly for races anticipated to have narrow margins in November.

Representative Bryan Steil (R-WI), Chair of the House Committee on Administration, expressed enthusiasm about the program’s expansion as the election approaches. “We’re excited to really ramp the program up, roll it out, as we come into the final eight weeks before the election,” Steil said. The program, which has been in use for several election cycles, allows congressional staffers to volunteer for poll watcher training. Upon request from congressional candidates, these trained observers can then be deployed to districts outside their own.

The Election Observer Program is part of a broader suite of efforts to maintain election security, which Steil prioritized during his tenure. “This is a program that’s been around for some time, and it’s been a successful program. My staff has participated in it, and I think it’s an important piece of the puzzle as we work to enhance the integrity and Americans’ confidence in our elections,” he stated.

Steil also highlighted the need to elevate the program’s visibility to ensure that candidates from both parties are aware of its availability. While the program has seen bipartisan participation in the past, Steil acknowledged that election integrity issues have become increasingly politicized.

In addition to the Election Observer Program, Steil has voiced concerns over a June executive order from Joe Biden to augment voter access with federal resources. He criticized the Biden-Harris government for what he perceives as a lack of transparency about its efforts, particularly in relation to noncitizen voting.

Democrats Are Trying to Unlawfully Extend Mail-In Voting AGAIN.

U.S. election officials again claim widespread delivery problems with the country’s mail system could cause election delays and disenfranchise voters. Similar claims were made by federal, state, and local election officials in the lead to the 2020 presidential election, though no significant delays occurred.

Claims of delayed mail processes that could impact the election have been used in the past—especially during the 2020 election—to obtain court orders or executive action to extend the early voting window or allow ballots received well after election day to be counted. Over the last several years, a series of court rulings found that many of these extensions and emergency changes in state election laws without the legislature’s approval were done unconstitutionally.

In a letter to U.S. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, the officials claim issues they say happened during the recent primary elections were “not one-off mistakes or a problem with specific facilities. Instead, it demonstrates a pervasive lack of understanding and enforcement of USPS policies among its employees.” ‘

“We implore you to take immediate and tangible corrective action to address the ongoing performance issues with USPS election mail service,” the letter reads before adding: “Failure to do so will risk limiting voter participation and trust in the election process.”

The two organizations behind the letter are the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) and the National Association of State Election Directors (NASED). The former’s election committee comprises some of the country’s most partisan Secretaries of State, including Adrian Fontes. (D-AZ), Jena Griswold (D-CO), and anti-Trumper Brad Raffensperger (R-GA). Mary Vigil, a former Democrat aide in the New Mexico Attorney General’s office, serves as the current head of NASED.

White House Threatens to Shut Govt Down If House GOP Moves to Bar Noncitizens from Voting.

The Biden-Harris White House is threatening to veto government funding if House Republicans do not remove the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act from a continuing resolution (CR). House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is signaling he intends to advance a CR that amends current federal voter laws to prevent noncitizens from casting ballots in federal elections and funds the government through the next six months.

“It is already illegal for noncitizens to vote in Federal elections—it is a Federal crime punishable by prison and fines. This behavior is wrong and the law clearly prohibits it,” the Biden-Harris government claims in a statement addressing the funding bill. They continue: “In addition, making a false claim of citizenship or unlawfully voting in an election is punishable by removal from the United States and a permanent bar to admission.”

“States already have effective safeguards in place to verify voters’ eligibility and maintain the accuracy of voter rolls,” the White House statement adds.

Despite the Biden-Harris government’s insistence that noncitizens voting is not a concern, evidence of their illegal election participation is mounting. The National Pulse reported on Monday that the Biden-Harris Department of Justice (DOJ) is acknowledging they have in custody an illegal alien who fraudulently assumed an American citizen’s identity and used it to “vote in multiple elections and obtain multiple United States passports.”

Additionally, survey data suggests a statistically significant number of noncitizens are illegally casting ballots in U.S. federal elections, despite the ban on doing so, due to inadequate vetting. According to Rasmussen Reports, 97 percent of noncitizens polled acknowledged having voted for a candidate in the 2020 presidential election. The survey included 2,466 likely U.S. voters, of whom 222 either stated they were noncitizens or did not know their citizenship status—meaning 10 percent of the sample had dubious legal voting status.

Montana County Overcounts Votes, Declares Wrong Winner.

Election officials in Montana have identified a significant overcount of votes during June’s primary, leading to the incorrect declaration of winners in two races. A post-canvassing audit of the Butte-Silver Bow County election revealed that 1,131 additional ballots had been cast compared to the total voters who participated. The vote inflation appears uniformly across the county’s various precincts.

The errors resulted in an incorrect winner being declared in a Republican precinct committeeman race and the wrong candidate being named in a county attorney general race as vote leader heading into a run-off election. State election officials have yet to determine the exact cause of the discrepancy.

However, County Clerk and Recorder Linda Sajor-Joyce is speculating the ballot overcount is the result of sample data not being cleared from the tabulation software. Even then, local news reports indicate Sajor-Joyce still cannot account for nearly a dozen mystery votes.

Election integrity activists stress the Montana situation as an example of the nationwide need for reconciliation processes when tabulating vote counts. The National Pulse recently reported that the Georgia State Election Board voted three to two on adopting a rule mandating the total number of votes cast to be reconciled with the total number of voters recorded for an election.

According to the rule, the total number of votes cast in each precinct must be reconciled with the total number of votes counted in the same precinct. If a discrepancy is found, the State Election Board will then determine the cause and develop a resolution in accordance with state law. The move comes in response to Fulton County, Georgia, having been found to have improperly scanned ballots in the 2020 election. Over 300,000 ballot images in the county remain missing.

Biden-Harris Govt’s Own Intelligence Officials Dispute Claim Russia Is Interfering in the 2024 Election.

An election security update issued by the Biden-Harris government’s Director of National Intelligence (DNI) contradicts—in part—Attorney General Merrick Garland and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Christopher Wray’s claims that Russia is actively interfering in the 2024 U.S. presidential election. Specifically, the DNI notice states, “the [intelligence community] has not observed any foreign actors seeking to interfere in the conduct of the 2024 elections.”

“The interagency election security community assesses that it would be very difficult for a foreign actor to manipulate election processes at a large enough scale to impact the outcome of a federal election without detection by intelligence collection, post-election audits, or the physical and cybersecurity monitoring of the decentralized and diverse election infrastructure across the country,” the DNI report reads.

Late last week, Attorney General Garland and FBI Director Wray announced the Biden-Harris government is indicting two Russian nationals for violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). At a news conference announcing the prosecutions, both Garland and Wray insinuated the two Russian individuals were at the center of a plot to interfere in the U.S. election. However, the indictment itself details a broader scheme to inject pro-Russia talking points into American news and heighten partisan discord among the populace.

The DNI does state that there are foreign operations aimed at boosting preferred candidates—something that occurs in almost every U.S. presidential election. To this end, the intelligence community notes that foreign actors “sometimes use cyber tools to collect information that helps them… embarrass or denigrate particular candidates through leaks”—likely referring to a recent hacking of former President Donald J. Trump’s campaign by Iran. The hacked documents and emails were subsequently leaked to several media outlets—though they have chosen thus far not to publish the illicitly obtained material.

DOJ Admits Illegal Alien Voted in ‘Multiple Elections.’

The Biden-Harris Department of Justice (DOJ) has admitted an illegal alien fraudulently assumed an American citizen’s identity and used it to “vote in multiple elections and obtain multiple United States passports.” Angelica Maria Francisco, described as an “undocumented individual” by the DOJ, faces charges of “false claims of citizenship in connection with voting, false statements in application for a United States passport, use of a United States passport obtained by false statements, and aggravated identity theft.”

Originally from Guatemala, Francisco has reached a plea agreement with prosecutors and is expected to plead guilty at a to-be-scheduled court appearance. She is known to have registered to vote in Alabama in 2016 and to have voted in the 2016 and 2020 primary and general elections—but the DOJ did not disclose who she voted for.

Data analysis suggests a statistically significant number of noncitizens vote in U.S. elections despite being legally barred from doing so. Overwhelmingly, they vote for Democrats.

House Republican lawmakers have put forward a Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act requiring proof of citizenship when people register to vote so the U.S. citizenship requirements for voting can be effectively enforced. However, Senate Democrats and the Democrat-controlled White House oppose the reforms.

An outright majority of Americans believe the Biden-Harris government has allowed illegal immigration to reach unprecedented levels in the hope that it will create a “permanent majority” for the Democrats over time.
