Turkey Prepares to Destroy U.S.-Backed Kurds in Post-Assad Syria.

With Turkey-backed jihadists having ousted Bashar al-Assad in Damascus, Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan is preparing a major offensive in north-eastern Syria, which is controlled by the mostly Kurdish, U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). Erdogan, whose country is home to a sizeable Kurdish minority, regards the SDF as allies or an offshoot of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), designated as a terrorist organization for its armed resistance to Turkish rule.

“We will show that the time has come to neutralize the terrorist organizations present in Syria. We will do this to prevent any further threats coming from the south of our borders,” Erdogan has vowed, warning: “The end of the road for the terrorist organizations is near. There is no room for terrorists in the future of the region. The shelf life of the PKK terrorist organization and its extensions has run out.”

U.S. officials have observed a build-up of Turkish and Turkish-backed militia forces at the Syrian border and are pressing for “restraint,” while Kurdish officials have written to President-elect Donald J. Trump warning of a “catastrophic” Turkish invasion before he can take office.

GEOPOLITICS.

Turkey has been occupying two so-called “buffer zones” in northern Syria for years, directing much of its firepower in the region against Kurdish forces rather than the Islamic State and other Sunni jihadist factions. Indeed, the al-Qaeda franchise that has supplanted Assad in the portion of Syria he formerly controlled, Hayʼat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), is effectively sponsored by the Turkish government.

The destruction of Rojava, as the oil-rich Kurdish-controlled territory in Syria is known, would be a significant embarrassment to the U.S., drastically reducing American influence in the country and threatening Europe with another migration wave.

Meanwhile, Russian bases in the country established under Assad have—so far—been allowed to remain in place by HTS.

Death Sentence for Child Trafficker Upheld as Court Rejects Final Appeal.

The death sentence for a woman convicted of child trafficking has been confirmed by a court in China. The high-profile case dates back to the 1990s. The Guizhou Provincial High People’s Court on Thursday denied the final appeal of Yu Huaying, a 60-year-old found guilty of trafficking at least 17 children between 1993 and 1996.

Earlier this year, Yu was initially convicted of trafficking 11 children, but a retrial revealed her involvement in the sale of 17 minors. In addition to the death penalty, the court permanently revoked Yu’s political rights and ordered the confiscation of her assets.

Yu’s activities only came to public attention in 2022, when victim Yang Niuhua reported her to authorities in Guiyang. Yang, who was trafficked for 3,500 yuan in 1995, had been searching for her family and shared her experiences online. Her parents had died after her abduction, but she managed to find other relatives.

Yu’s illegal endeavors reportedly began with her own son, whom she sold for 5,000 yuan in the early stages of her criminal activities. She was assisted by her partner, Gong Xianliang, who died shortly after Yu’s arrest, escaping trial.

According to the trial court, Yu operated a “complete criminal chain” across regions, including Guizhou, Yunnan, and Chongqing, selling children through intermediaries in Hebei.

In the United States, child trafficking has become a major issue at the southern border, with thousands of unaccompanied minors being trafficked from Mexico. Around 85,000 children have gone missing after being placed with sponsors by the Biden-Harris regime, some of which are thought to be linked to people trafficking. Overall, as many as 291,000 illegal immigrant children have gone missing under the Biden-Harris regime.

Donald J. Trump pledged to lobby for the federal death penalty to be expanded to human traffickers in 2023, shortly after hosting a screening of the anti-trafficking film Sound of Freedom.

Escalation: UK May Deploy Troops to Ukraine as ‘Trainers.’

The British government could deploy troops to Ukraine, supposedly to train local soldiers, according to Defence Secretary John Healey. “The UK will step up our international leadership on Ukraine throughout 2025,” he said, adding: “We will enhance our offer of training to Ukraine and provide battle-winning capabilities.”

In comments made during his visit to the war-torn country, Healey emphasized the need for training to align more closely with Ukrainian needs. This move forms part of a broader five-point strategy outlined by Healey to enhance British support for Ukraine.

As part of this initiative, the British government announced on Thursday an additional $282.3 million in military aid to Ukraine. This package includes $115.4 million for the Ukrainian navy, covering small boats and drones, and $85.3 million for air defense mechanisms such as radars and counter-drone warfare systems.

British forces have trained over 51,000 Ukrainian recruits so far. While Foreign Secretary David Lammy had previously stated there would be no commitment of British ground troops in Ukraine, when asked about a deployment this week, he was equivocal, stating, “It is strength that Vladimir Putin will respond to… The truth is Putin is not a man you can negotiate with.”

Britain has been adamant about escalating its role in the Russia-Ukraine conflict since the election of President-elect Donald J. Trump, for instance, by permitting Ukraine to launch British-supplied Storm Shadow long-range missiles into Russia. Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer granted the permission despite President  Putin stating such actions would be considered an act of war.

Finland, one of NATO’s newest members, has warned against other members sending troops to Ukraine, even as peacekeepers. He estimates as many as 150,000 troops would be needed. Currently, the British Army boasts fewer than 20,000 infantrymen, leaving it ill-equipped to fight a conventional land war with any major power.

Mexico’s Leftist Prez Bends the Knee, Will Accept Mexicans Deported by Trump.

Far-left President Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico says her country will accept Mexican nationals deported from the United States under incoming President Donald J. Trump. The concession is a significant win for Trump and his border czar, Tom Homan, who plan to initiate one of the largest immigrant enforcement operations since President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1954.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Mexico’s Foreign Affairs Ministry said the Sheinbaum government “is prepared to work in coordination with federal, state, and local authorities in the face of possible mass deportations.” The ministry added: “We reaffirm the responsibility and obligation of the Mexican State to our fellow citizens so that they can have the confidence that they will be received in the manner they deserve in the face of present and future challenges.”

The move comes as President-elect Trump is threatening to enact economically crippling tariffs on imports to the U.S. from Mexico and Canada unless the two countries increase security at the U.S. southern and northern borders. Following the threat, Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau pledged to step up border actions, and earlier this week, the country confirmed it would budget $1.3 billion for new border security measures.

Meanwhile, in the weeks following the 2024 presidential election, Sheinbaum has spoken numerous times with Trump. The Mexican president has allegedly pledged to turn back illegal immigrant caravans from Central and South America as they attempt to traverse her country toward the U.S. border.

However, Mexico continues to assert it will not act as “a safe third country” for illegal immigrants from other nations being deported from the United States.

Trump Warns Johnson, GOP on Debt Ceiling: Resolve Situation by Inauguration or Face Primaries.

President-elect Donald J. Trump has expressed confidence in House Speaker Mike Johnson retaining his role—if he handles spending legislation to prevent a government shutdown correctly. “If the speaker acts decisively, and tough, and gets rid of all of the traps being set by the Democrats, which will economically and, in other ways, destroy our country, he will easily remain speaker,” he said. However, he warned, “Anybody that supports a bill that doesn’t take care of the Democrat quicksand known as the debt ceiling should be primaried and disposed of as quickly as possible.”

Trump differs from the GOP in that he rejects not only the current spending bill, which includes all manner of controversial provisions, but also a so-called “clean” continuing resolution (CR), which would keep the government running as is with no policy changes or new conditions. Instead, the President-elect wants an otherwise “clean” CR that also lifts the debt ceiling.

“If Republicans try to pass a clean Continuing Resolution without all of the Democrat ‘bells and whistles’ that will be so destructive to our Country, all it will do, after January 20th, is bring the mess of the Debt Limit into the Trump Administration, rather than allowing it to take place in the Biden Administration,” Trump argued in a Truth Social post early Thursday.

“Any Republican that would be so stupid as to do this should, and will, be Primaried. Everything should be done, and fully negotiated, prior to my taking Office on January 20th, 2025.”

Islam’s Western Capital: At Least 85 Sharia Courts in UK, 100,000 Sharia Marriages Conducted.

The United Kingdom is now home to at least 85 Islamic sharia courts. It has become a capital in the Western world for the Islamic legal system, with Muslims across Europe and North America increasingly looking to the informal courts for rulings.

Sharia courts began operating in Britain in 1982 and have grown to 85 courts, or councils, nationwide. They rule on issues of marriage and other family matters like inheritance.

At least 100,000 Islamic marriages have been conducted in these sharia courts, which also practice polygamy and allow men to divorce their wives by simply saying the word ‘talaq’ three times over.

Radical Islamist preacher Haitham al-Haddad founded one of the most prominent Sharia courts in the UK, has not only been labeled an extremist but was among several British Muslims to visit the Taliban after they captured Afghanistan. He once stated in a lecture that a man should be allowed to hit his wife physically and that others should not interfere and mind their own business.

Sharia courts do not have any legal jurisdiction in Britain but are still used by Muslims to work out issues of divorce, marriage, and more. Some have expressed concern that the courts are forming a parallel legal system within the country.

Stephen Evans, chief executive of the National Secular Society, stated, “It should be remembered that sharia councils only exist because Muslim women need them to obtain a religious divorce. Muslim men do not need them because they can unilaterally divorce their wife.”

“That’s why any regulation or accommodation of such a body would legitimize this inherently discriminatory outlook on divorce and gender relations,” Evans said.

BREAKING: Georgia Court Removes Fani Willis from Trump RICO Prosecution.

A Georgia state court of appeals has ruled that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and her office should be removed from the state prosecution against President-elect Donald J. Trump and his associates over allegations they interfered in the 202o presidential election. Previously, Fulton County Judge Scott McAffee had ordered either Willis or her lover and special prosecutor, Nathan Wade, to resign from the case. Wade promptly left the legal action.

“After carefully considering the trial court’s findings in its order, we conclude that it erred by failing to disqualify DA Willis and her office,” the appellate panel writes, continuing: “The remedy crafted by the trial court to prevent an ongoing appearance of impropriety did nothing to address the appearance of impropriety that existed at times when DA Willis was exercising her broad pretrial discretion about who to prosecute and what charges to bring.”

“While we recognize that an appearance of impropriety generally is not enough to support disqualification, this is the rare case in which disqualification is mandated and no other remedy will suffice to restore public confidence in the integrity of these proceedings,” the court added, concluding: “Accordingly, we reverse the trial court’s denial of the appellants’ motion to disqualify DA Willis and her office. As we conclude that the elected district attorney is wholly disqualified from this case, ‘the assistant district attorneys — whose only power to prosecute a case is derived from the constitutional authority of the district attorney who appointed them — have no authority to proceed.'”

The appeals court, however, denied Trump’s motion to dismiss the RICO case on due process grounds, although other dismissal motions are still pending.

Farage Warns Far-Left UK Govt Trump Team Opposes Giveaway of Strategic Islands.

Brexit leader Nigel Farage has warned British lawmakers that President-elect Donald J. Trump is seriously concerned by the far-left Labour government’s plans to give away the British Indian Ocean Territory to Mauritius. The territory’s islands host a strategic British-American military base.

The Reform Party leader communicated these concerns after discussions at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, where he met with Elon Musk and other key figures. During a session in the House of Commons, Farage highlighted the unease within Trump’s forthcoming administration about the long-term implications for the base on Diego Garcia.

“Let me assure you, there is very deep disquiet amongst all of them as to what this may mean for the long-term future of Diego Garcia and whether such a deal would hold, given the precedent of the deal break over Hong Kong,” Farage said. “They also can’t understand why we would surrender the sovereignty of these islands on an advisory judgment for a pretty obscure court,” he added.

Stephen Doughty, a minister in the British Foreign Office, claims the U.S. national security community supports a proposed deal to surrender sovereignty over the Chagos Islands that comprise the territory, claiming a non-binding International Court of Justice ruling that they should be decolonized threatens the future of the base.

MAURITIUS.

The draft plan involves transferring sovereignty to distant Mauritius—against the wishes of the Chagos Islanders the British removed from the territory—while maintaining a 99-year lease for the strategic Diego Garcia base. The base would see Britain make annual payments to Mauritius to facilitate the transfer, and boat migrants present on the islands removed to another British territory.

However, Mauritius’s newly-elected prime minister, Navin Ramgoolam, is already repudiating the agreement, arguing it is not generous enough.

Mauritius is aligned with the Chinese, leading to some fearing that if the deal goes ahead, the Chinese may be able to build their own rival bases on the islands. Farage has also shared similar concerns that giving away the islands will embolden China.

Farage wants a referendum for the Chagos Islanders on the deal.

Prince Andrew Withdraws from Royal Pre-Christmas Lunch Amid Spy Scandal.

Prince Andrew is skipping the British Royal Family‘s pre-Christmas lunch following criticism of his association with an alleged Chinese Communist spy. The lunch at Buckingham Palace is a private affair for senior members of the Royal Family and other relatives who will not join Christmas festivities at King Charles’s Sandringham estate.

Alleged spy Yang Tengbo was identified following the lifting of an anonymity order. He has firmly denied involvement in any espionage activities. Previously known as H6 in legal documents, Yang was a key figure in China for the Duke’s Pitch@Palace project. He visited Buckingham Palace twice in 2018 to meet with Prince Andrew and reportedly accessed St James’s Palace and Windsor Castle at Andrew’s behest.

Wang is believed to be associated with China’s United Front Work Department and had been invited to Prince Andrew’s birthday in 2020.

On Friday, the Duke’s representatives declared that Andrew “ceased all contact” with Yang when initial concerns surfaced. The Duke’s office further emphasized that their interactions were conducted through “official channels” and that “nothing of a sensitive nature” was ever discussed.

This scandal is just the latest for Prince Andrew, who has a history of befriending unsavory individuals, including convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Reports have claimed that Epstein filmed Prince Andrew and other high-profile individuals engaging in sex acts.

The British Foreign Office will not release secret documents relating to Prince Andrew until at least 2065.

Woke Church of England Archbishop Resigns Amid Child Sex Abuse Scandal.

A former Archbishop of Canterbury has resigned following allegations that he mishandled a sex abuse case involving an Anglican priest. George Carey, former Archbishop of Canterbury and spiritual head of the Church of England (CofE) from 1991 to 2002, stepped down following a BBC investigation that revealed he permitted a previously banned priest to resume his ministry.

His resignation letter, dated December 4, emphasized his lengthy service—beginning in 1962—and his approaching 90th birthday but did not address the specifics of the investigation. Reports state that Carey facilitated the reappointment of cleric David Tudor in 1994, five years after Tudor had been barred due to accusations of assaulting teenage girls.

The investigation suggested that Carey supported Tudor’s employment in a diocese, raising questions about his decision-making during his tenure.

Carey’s decision to resign coincides with pressure on Stephen Cottrell, who is scheduled to become the Church of England’s temporary figurehead. Cottrell, currently the Archbishop of York, allegedly allowed Tudor to continue in his position despite being aware of restrictions that prohibited Tudor from being alone with children. Additionally, Tudor had previously settled a compensation claim with one of his accusers.

In October, Tudor was permanently banned from the ministry after admitting to sexual involvement with two teenage girls in the 1980s, aged 15 and 16.

Carey’s resignation comes just weeks after Justin Welby resigned as Archbishop of Canterbury amid allegations that he covered up child sex abuse cases for a decade. A report claimed that Welby, a frequent World Economic Forum (WEF) attendee, declined to pursue a proper investigation despite knowing of the abuse since 2013.

Welby presided over a shift toward woke attitudes in the Anglican mother church, going as far as demanding “serious consequences” for anti-trans comments and giving tacit approval to homosexual activity.
