Migrants Jump the Line for Healthcare While Native Britons Wait YEARS.

British taxpayers fund in-hotel medical treatment for migrants as British patients face prolonged National Health Service (NHS) waiting times. In Sussex, England, the socialized healthcare provider received a notice period of under four weeks to deliver health services for 1,000 asylum seekers, with this figure later escalating to nearly 3,000 across Brighton, Crawley, Eastbourne, and Hastings. According to the British Medical Association (BMA), approximately 6.3 million patients are on NHS waiting lists, with half waiting over 18 weeks for treatment.

“British patients are waiting over 18 months for vital treatments, yet migrant hotels are being turned into makeshift surgeries,” observed Mike Jones, a spokesman for the Migration Watch think tank, adding: “This isn’t just a health crisis—it’s a betrayal of taxpayers who’ve spent their lives funding the NHS, only to be shoved to the back of the queue.”

IMMIGRATION PROFITEERING.

Clinicians treating migrants rather than native Britons are making substantial sums of money. In Cheshire, for instance, a federation of local GP practices secured a contract worth £132,000 (~$170,000) to supply “at-home” care for migrants.

In November, it emerged that some migrants are receiving private healthcare—a luxury few Britons can afford after paying their taxes to fund the NHS. Officials revealed this at a public meeting in Greater Manchester after locals voiced concerns that a new migrant hotel could overwhelm the area’s already strained services.

“They’re contracted with… a private doctors’ system,” said Nathan Evans, Conservative group leader on the council, attempting to alleviate concerns. However, the revelation only caused further outrage.

Top Lefty Editor Tells Dems to Punish Latinos Who Face Deportation Because Hispanics Aren’t Voting Left Anymore.

Jonathan Last, editor of The Bulwark, is arguing Democrats should not oppose President-elect Donald J. Trump’s planned deportations because migration-background voters are no longer voting dependably for the liberal party. “Democrats should spend exactly zero political capital stopping any Trump deportation efforts,” he wrote on Bluesky, a bolthole for leftists upset by X owner Elon Musk’s turn towards Trump. “It is madness to spend capital trying to help people who are no longer a major part of your electoral coalition.”

Last’s comments followed a story about “Rosa,” an illegal immigrant supportive of her children’s choice to vote for Trump in the 2024 election. Rosa expressed confidence that Trump would focus on deporting criminals rather than individuals like herself who have not had legal issues since arriving.

Conservatives highlighted the mercenariness of Last’s worldview, with one noting that Democrat opposition to deportations is supposed to be “about being a Good Person,” not political advantage.

“There was a political angle? That sounds like a conspiracy theory,” he added sarcastically.

2024 saw a massive swing to Trump among Latino voters, with almost 50 percent of Latino men under 40 backing the America First leader. Democrat-leaning commentators were aware of the swing even before Election Day, with one MSNBC contributor sneering that some Latinos were turning towards Trump in an attempt to “be white.”

CNN Faces Giant Law Suit After ‘Defaming’ Navy Veteran.

Judicial proceedings are set to continue in a case involving Navy veteran Zachary Young, who says cable network CNN defamed him in a 2021 report regarding the evacuation of Afghan families. Young, along with his enterprise Nemex, filed a lawsuit against the network after a segment suggested he charged excessive fees without guaranteeing safety or success during Joe Biden’s bungled withdrawal from Afghanistan. The broadcast displayed Young’s image alongside a caption mentioning “black markets” and high charges.

Judge William Henry of Florida recently determined that the case must go to trial, emphasizing that a jury needs to decide whether the term “black market” was intended to imply illegal activities by Young. According to his judgment, there is enough evidence suggesting CNN might have known the claims were false or acted recklessly.

Henry asserted that the trial could explore whether CNN acted with “actual malice,” particularly through the use of the phrase “black market,” which could lead to punitive damages.

The network offered no comment, but CNN aired a clarification on March 25, 2022, in which anchor Jake Tapper acknowledged an error in terminology and apologized to Young during a segment of his show, The Lead.

Some references used in the broadcast, such as terms like “exorbitant” and “exploit,” were deemed opinions by Judge Henry and thus not actionable. Moreover, the court concluded that Nemex Enterprises was not directly implicated as it was not mentioned in the report.

European Nations Are Already BANNING New Syrian ‘Refugees.’

Austria’s interim government has announced a suspension of asylum applications from Syrian nationals following the fall of Bashar al-Assad. This decision comes after Turkey-backed rebels took control of Damascus, prompting Assad to seek refuge in Russia. The 13-year civil war in Syria has displaced millions, with 4.3 million Syrians now in European countries like Germany and Austria following the migrant crisis of 2015 and 2016.

Chancellor Karl Nehammer has directed Interior Minister Gerhard Karner to pause Syrian asylum applications and revisit previously granted cases. The Interior Ministry confirms that Karner has been asked to devise a plan for the systematic return and deportation of Syrians, though specific details remain unclarified.

The announcement has also impacted “family reunification” chain migration, which allows refugees to bring their relatives to Austria. The Austrian government has put on hold 12,886 applications, 1,146 of which are related to family reunification.

Nehammer and Karner represent the People’s Party (ÖVP), which is embracing more stringent immigration policies in response to the rise of the populist Freedom Party (FPÖ), which placed first in the country’s recent elections.

Nehammer is currently engaged in coalition negotiations with parties other than the FPÖ despite its clear electoral success. Some Austrian voters are questioning President Alexander Van der Bellen’s decision not to appoint the FPÖ to lead government formation efforts rather than the ÖVP.

Terror-Struck Liz Cheney Grapples With Jail Threat.

Former U.S. Representative Liz Cheney on Sunday issued a panicked response to President-elect Donald J. Trump’s remarks about the imprisonment of members of the January 6 “unselect” committee. Cheney, one of only two Republicans to serve on the committee, railed that Trump’s comments were an “assault on the rule of law and the foundations of our republic.”

“Here is the truth: Donald Trump attempted to overturn the 2020 presidential election and seize power,” she alleged statement. “He mobilized an angry mob and sent them to the United States Capitol, where they attacked police officers, invaded the building and halted the official counting of electoral votes. Trump watched on television as police officers were brutally beaten and the Capitol was assaulted, refusing for hours to tell the mob to leave,” she continued.

“This was the worst breach of our Constitution by any president in our nation’s history. Donald Trump’s suggestion that members of Congress who later investigated his illegal and unconstitutional actions should be jailed is a continuation of his assault on the rule of law and the foundations of our republic.”

In fact, Trump instructed protestors to be peaceful and tried to arrange for National Guard personnel to be present to deter any violence well in advance.

MEET THE PRESS.

Speaking to Meet the Press, Trump accused Cheney, committee chairman Bennie Thompson of Mississippi, and others of having broken the law during their investigation, saying, “[E]verybody on that committee, for what they did, honestly, they should go to jail.” In particular, he cited the committee’s destruction of evidence after the Republican Party gained control of the House of Representatives.

However, he said he will not instruct his Attorney General or Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to investigate committee members—although “they’ll have to look at that”—instead focusing on achieving success as his form of “retribution.”

Raheem Kassam, Editor-in-Chief of The National Pulse, has previously described the January 6 Committee as a “national embarrassment,” warning their “abuse their power for the partisan persecution of their political opponents will remain a stain on America’s body politick for generations to come.”

‘STOP THIS TERRORIST’ – U.S. Govt Once Offered $10M Bounty for Syria’s New Leader.

Syria’s new leader, Abu Mohammad al-Julani, also known as Muhammad al-Jawlani and Abu Muhammad al-Golani, was once subject to a $10 million bounty by the U.S. government, The National Pulse can reveal. His Hayʼat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) organization is a designated foreign terrorist organization regarded as part of the al-Qaeda network.

Al-Julani, born Ahmed Hussein al-Shar’a in Saudi Arabia, is the leading force in Syria following the rapid collapse of Bashar al-Assad’s government, with HTS being the Turkey-backed rebel’s main force. He was formerly allied to the Islamic State in Iraq, and his al-Nusra group was a franchise of al-Qaeda.

Al-Qaeda released Nusra from this allegiance in 2015, likely for strategic reasons. At the time, al-Qaeda’s then-leader, Ayman al-Zawahirisaid, “The brotherhood of Islam that exists among us is stronger than any passing or changing organizational ties,” instructing al-Julani to integrate his jihadists into the wider anti-Assad movement.

The U.S. government was unconvinced by this rebrand, with the U.S. Embassy in Syria stating in a 2017 social media thread, “The core of HTS is Nusra, a designated terrorist org. This designation applies regardless of what name it uses or what groups merge into it.”

“HTS is a merger and any group that merges into it becomes part of al-Qa’ida’s Syrian network,” it added.

The Embassy also shared a digital ‘wanted’ poster of al-Julani branded ‘STOP THIS TERRORIST,’ offering up to $10 million for information leading to his capture.

ATROCITIES.

“Under al-Jawlani’s leadership, ANF has carried out multiple terrorist attacks throughout Syria, often targeting civilians,” reads al-Julani’s now-deleted page on the U.S. government’s Rewards for Justice website, referring to the al-Nusra Front.

“In April 2015, ANF reportedly kidnapped, and later released, approximately 300 Kurdish civilians from a checkpoint in Syria. In June 2015, ANF claimed responsibility for the massacre of 20 residents in the Druze village of Qalb Lawzeh in Idlib province, Syria,” the page states.

Nevertheless, Western powers now seem willing to work with al-Julani, with the British government considering removing HTS from its list of proscribed terrorist organizations.

UN Says 1.5 MILLION People Could Now Flee Syria.

The United Nations (UN) warned up to 1.5 million people would leave Syria as the jihadist offensive was gaining momentum. Rebels led by Saudi-born jihadist Abu Mohammad al-Julani and his Hayʼat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) group—formerly a branch of al-Qaeda—displaced 280,000 people in its initial phase, according to World Food Programme Director for Emergency Coordination Samer AbdelJaber.

“If the fighting continues at this pace, we anticipate up to 1.5 million people needing urgent support,” AbdelJaber said on Friday. “The situation in Syria was not easy before this escalation, so we’re looking at a crisis on top of crisis. And that’s why we’re really emphasizing the urgent need for funding,” he added.

Since then, President Bashar al-Assad’s government, backed by Russia and Iran, has folded rapidly, with HTS now in complete control of the territory formerly under Assad’s sway. This apparently swift end to the fighting could limit the number of Syrians who emigrate to escape the privations of war—but many may still flee, fearing reprisals under the new regime.

The Assad clan hailed from the Alawite sect of Shia Islam, regarded as heretics by the predominantly Sunni Muslim rebels. Syrian Christians and Druze may also fear the accession of a de facto al-Qaeda government, considering their mistreatment by al-Julani’s former comrades in the Islamic State group during earlier stages of the war.

Around one million Syrians migrated to Europe amid the 2015-16 migrant crisis, with chain migration swelling this number to 4.5 million over the following years.

Assad’s Syria Is Over. Here’s What We Know.

Syria’s 50-year Assad dynasty fell this weekend as rebels captured the capitol city of Damascus as President Bashar al-Assad fled the country.

The details: In less than two weeks, the rebel group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) captured key cities, Aleppo, Hama, and Hams, before eventually arriving at Damascus, where they faced no resistance from Assad’s forces.

  • Video posted on social media shows the rebels celebrating inside Assad’s former palace and emptying prisons.

Where were their allies? Assad’s two long-time allies, Russia and Iran, were unable [or unwilling] to help — as both are currently bogged down in their own conflicts in Ukraine and Israel, respectively.

Where is Assad? The Kremlin revealed that Assad, known for using chemical weapons on his own people, has fled to Russia and was granted political asylum along with his family.

Let’s talk about the rebels: HTS evolved from an offshoot of al-Qaeda in Syria. It’s led by Abu Mohammad al-Jawlani, who brands himself as a moderate freedom-fighter, despite formerly working under terrorist leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. The U.S. considers HTS a terrorist organization and has a $10 million bounty on Jawlani’s head.

  • The flipside: Jawlani issued an edict to his Sunni Muslim rebels, ordering the protection of Christians and Shiite Muslims in Syria, saying: “In the future Syria, we believe that diversity is our strength, not a weakness.” Pardon me for being suspicious of anyone who repeats the leftist mantra ‘diversity is our strength.’

Note: I’ve seen Jawlani’s name spelled three different ways in mainstream media. I’ve decided to use the WSJ’s spelling.

US and Israel strike: Following the fall of the Assad regime, the U.S. struck dozens of ISIS camps and operatives to prevent the terrorist group from seizing power. Israel conducted airstrikes on suspected chemical weapons plants in Syria.

Trump weighs in: President-elect Donald Trump reacted to the events, writing on Truth Social:

  • “In any event, Syria is a mess, but is not our friend, & THE UNITED STATES SHOULD HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. THIS IS NOT OUR FIGHT. LET IT PLAY OUT. DO NOT GET INVOLVED!”

Daniel Penny Acquitted in NYC Subway Chokehold Death Case.

Marine veteran Daniel Penny was acquitted of criminally negligent homicide in the subway chokehold death of Jordan Neely following extensive jury deliberations. A New York City judge dismissed the more severe second-degree manslaughter charge against Penny after jurors failed to reach a unanimous decision, enabling consideration of the negligent homicide charge.

Jordan Neely died on a subway train on May 1, 2023. Neely, 30, reportedly boarded a Manhattan-bound F train in an agitated state, shouting and making threats. Witnesses and police recounted that Penny, a fellow passenger, attempted to restrain Neely by applying a chokehold, captured in a widely circulated video. Despite emergency responders’ efforts, Neely was pronounced dead at the scene. A medical examiner later classified the death as a homicide due to neck compression. Toxicology reports revealed the presence of synthetic marijuana in Neely’s system.

Democratic Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg initially announced the charges against Penny on June 28, 2023. Penny, who faced a possible 15-year prison term, pleaded not guilty.

Throughout the trial, the prosecution presented Penny as having used excessive force, while the defense maintained that Penny acted to protect others on the train. The defense cited Penny’s military training and emphasized the absence of safer options to manage Neely’s behavior. The jury’s intricate examination involved reviewing police bodycam footage and testimonies from various witnesses, including passengers and medical experts.

The court conducted jury selection in late October 2024, assembling a panel consisting of diverse backgrounds. The trial officially began at the start of November. Closing arguments from both sides underscored differing interpretations of Penny’s actions, whether they were reckless or protective under perceived threat.

After four days of deliberations and multiple clarifications requested from the court, the jury signaled its inability to convict on the manslaughter charge, resulting in its dismissal. Upon review of the remaining charge, the jury rendered Penny not guilty of criminally negligent homicide, concluding the contentious legal proceedings surrounding Neely’s death. Penny, who had argued self-defense, faced potential imprisonment of up to 15 years if convicted on the manslaughter charge or up to four years for negligent homicide.

SHOCK: Mike Pence is Actually Doing Something Useful for Once.

Advancing American Freedom, a think tank founded by former Vice President Mike Pence, is campaigning for a constitutional amendment to maintain the current structure of the U.S. Supreme Court. The coalition urges U.S. senators to endorse the Keep Nine Amendment, which would preserve the number of Supreme Court justices at nine.

Democrat Senator Ron Wyden of Oregon introduced a proposal to expand the number of justices to 15 in September, which would have allowed a Kamala Harris administration to overturn the Court’s current conservative majority. Democrat Representative Jamie Raskin has also been pushing to expand the Court and control its justices through a so-called “ethics code.”

Advancing American Freedom warns that such proposals could make the Court a political tool, drawing parallels with Venezuela’s judiciary under Hugo Chávez. They contend recent court scandals, including draft opinion leaks and threats against justices, undermine the Court’s independence, and “court-packing” would destroy it altogether.

“With the recent election representing a resounding rejection of such proposals, it is time for Congress and the States to preserve the integrity and independence of the Supreme Court through a constitutional amendment limiting the number of justices on the court to nine,” their letter to U.S. senators states.

Under President Franklin D. Roosevelt, an attempt to add more justices to the Supreme Court was met with strong bipartisan resistance and was ultimately blocked in the Senate.

Signatories to Advancing American Freedom’s letter include leaders from organizations such as Students for Life Action, Concerned Women for America, and the Faith and Freedom Coalition.
