WaPo CEO Tells Reporters: ‘I Can’t Sugarcoat it… People Are Not Reading Your Stuff.’

During a Monday meeting, Washington Post CEO and publisher Will Lewis reportedly explained to his staff: “We are losing large amounts of money. Your audience has halved in recent years. People are not reading your stuff. I can’t sugarcoat it anymore.”

The staff, however, appeared more concerned with diversity hires and whether or not a “woman of color” was interviewed for the role of Editor-in-Chief, now being taken by a former colleague of Lewis’s from the United Kingdom.

“I’ve had to take decisive, urgent action to set us on a different path,” Lewis told them, “sourcing talent that I have worked with that are the best of the best.”

The termination and replacement of Sally Buzbee apparently surprised staff on Sunday evening despite the paper continuing to lose power, influence, and money. Her replacement—from the centrist British Telegraph newspaper—has caused concern amongst those who prefer the Post to be used as a leftist propaganda rag rather than a newspaper.

“…given their previous affiliations with Murdoch and with the fiercely right-wing Telegraph newspaper – sometimes referred to as the Torygraph — there is a palpable fear in and out of the Post newsroom that the three men will drag the Post’s political coverage in a more pro-Trump direction.”

– Dan Froomkin, Press Watch, 2024

But the Telegraph is hardly “right-wing” anymore, nor is it at all “pro-Trump.” According to some, the reactions from Post staff have proved Lewis’s suspicions that the organization is being run for the benefit of far-left politics and politicians than its readership, which continues to decline.

Biden Border

Biden’s Border ‘Crackdown’ Allows 1.5 Million Illegal Crossings Annually.

Joe Biden signed an executive order on Tuesday that will allow approximately 1.5 million illegal aliens to cross the U.S. border annually. This executive order will facilitate the daily entry of 2,500 illegal immigrants through land crossings, totaling at least 912,000 individuals each year. The New York Post reports an even higher figure of 1.8 million annually.

Texas Representative Chip Roy (R) criticized the measure, labeling it a “political stunt” aimed at bolstering Biden’s standing in the polls. “Don’t be deceived by Biden’s latest move on the border,” Roy stated. “He’s trying to appear tough on immigration because he’s losing ground in the polls. Remember, he’s already let in over 10 million illegal aliens, and his new executive order will likely lead to at least 1.5 million more illegal crossings in the next year.”

The Biden government’s “parole” program, which allows immigrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela to fly into the U.S. at a rate of 30,000 per month, will continue under the new order.

Additionally, the CBPOne app, a tool used by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to schedule border crossings, has enabled 450,000 illegal immigrants to enter the U.S. over the past 13 months.

The executive order also includes exceptions for unaccompanied minors and other specific groups. These exceptions are not counted towards the daily 2,500-person cap. In 2022, more than 128,000 unaccompanied minors crossed the border and were admitted into the U.S.

Biden is invoking sections 212(f) and 215(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act to enforce these provisions, the same legal framework previously used by former President Donald Trump to limit immigration. The Biden regime will not implement measures to curb illegal immigration unless the number of immigrants crossing illegally averages 2,500 per day for seven consecutive days.

DATA: Americans Have Lost Trust in Their Judicial System. Who Knows Why!?

New polling data indicates that former President Donald J. Trump‘s conviction by a Manhattan jury on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records has undermined Americans’ confidence in the country’s judicial system. The YouGov poll, conducted from April 16 to May 31, reveals a decline in trust in the American jury system, particularly among independents and Republicans.

According to the poll, overall trust in the jury system fell from 54 percent to 51 percent within the six-week period. Independents’ trust decreased by four points, while Republicans saw a more significant drop of 17 points. Conversely, trust among Democrats increased by ten points, highlighting a widening 35-percentage-point gap between Republicans and Democrats compared to an eight-point gap before Trump’s conviction.

Despite the erosion of trust in the judicial system, the survey indicates that few Americans believe Trump‘s conviction will adversely affect his political prospects. Only 32 percent of independents and 18 percent of Republicans think the conviction will harm Trump’s campaign. Meanwhile, 58 percent of Democrats say the conviction hurts Trump. Overall, just 34 percent of respondents say it will negatively impact the 2024 Republican presidential nominee.

Further, the conviction appears to have a minimal effect on voter behavior among independents. Four percent of independents who initially planned to vote for Trump no longer intend to support him, while an equal percentage of those who did not plan to vote for him before the conviction now plan to do so.

Declining trust in the American judiciary has also been fueled by Democrat efforts to weaponize the Department of Justice (DOJ) and court system. The National Pulse reported last week that Democrats are ramping up efforts to undermine the legitimacy of the Supreme Court ahead of several major opinions being issued this month.

Girl Who ‘Milkshaked’ Nigel Farage is a Far-Left OnlyFans Whore… Obviously.

The woman who assaulted Reform UK Party leader Nigel Farage earlier on Tuesday has been identified as a 25-year-old OnlyFans model. Victoria Thomas-Bowen, who sells adult content on the controversial, pornographic website, was arrested on the scene for the milkshake attack.

Thomas-Bowen, a supporter of former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn, told reporters after the incident that Farage “doesn’t stand for me, he doesn’t represent anything I believe in, or any of the people around here.” When asked why she attacked the Reform UK leader, specifically with a banana milkshake, she said she “just felt like it.”

Meanwhile, the x-rated content creator‘s family, who describe themselves as Brexit supporters, expressed shock at Thomas-Bowen’s actions. In an interview with the Daily Mail, her brother Paul denounced his sister’s actions. “I have just seen it, and to be honest, I’m appalled,” her brother said. He added: “I don’t know where she is. I don’t want anything to do with her.”

A review of Thomas-Bowen’s social media also suggests a concerning lack of maturity. Like many x-rated models on OnlyFans, she aggressively promotes an Amazon.com wishlist and encourages her fans to purchase gifts for her from it. Among the items listed are a £4.99 gel-gloss nail polish, variously flavored vodkas, a £21.25 bottle of pomegranate-scented tanning lotion, sexually suggestive lingerie, and a LOVENSE remote-controlled vibrator.

The National Pulse reported earlier today that following the assault, Farage posted a short video of himself in good spirits, toasting viewers with the message, “My milkshake brings all the people to the rally.”

Biden AG Merrick Garland Says Scrutinizing Him Is ‘Attack on the Judicial Process.’

The Biden government’s Attorney General, Merrick Garland, is defending the Democrat-run lawfare campaign against former President Donald J. Trump on Capitol Hill on Tuesday. In his prepared remarks, released ahead of his testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, Garland accuses his critics of undermining the rule of law by propagating “conspiracy theories” and disseminating falsehoods.

Garland, the top legal figure in the Biden government, smeared Republican critics who continue to accuse the Department of Justice (DOJ) of coordinating the federal and state-level indictments against Trump. This past May, The National Pulse reported extensively on Matthew Colangelo, one of the top prosecutors in the Manhattan District Attorney’s office, and his prior work in the Biden DOJ. The former DOJ attorney and current state prosecutor is suspected of being a go-between for federal prosecutors and their state-level colleagues. Additionally, Colangelo has a history of pursuing partisan legal actions against conservative organizations and Republican lawmakers dating back to 2011.

“That conspiracy theory is an attack on the judicial process itself,” Garland said, chastising lawmakers who have raised concerns about possible ongoing communications between the Manhattan DA‘s office and the DOJ.

“Certain members of this committee and the Oversight Committee are seeking contempt as a means of obtaining — for no legitimate purpose — sensitive law enforcement information that could harm the integrity of future investigations,” Garland’s prepared remarks read. Additionally, Garland has voiced concerns that the recordings could be manipulated and utilized in pro-Trump political campaigns. “I will not be intimidated,” Garland’s prepared remarks emphasize. “And the Justice Department will not be intimidated.”

GARLAND IN CONTEMPT?

The Judiciary Committee and House Oversight Committee moved last month to hold Garland in contempt for refusing to hand over audio recordings from interviews conducted by Special Counsel Robert Hur with Biden last year. Hur ultimately decided not to prosecute Biden for criminal wrongdoing related to his handling of classified materials, citing the unlikelihood that the special counsel could secure a conviction.

More Senators Pledge to Block Dem Appointments Over Anti-Trump Lawfare.

Senator Josh Hawley and Senator Ron Johnson have joined eight other Senate Republicans in signing a pledge, organized by Senator Mike Lee, to block legislation not essential to American security in response to Donald Trump’s sham conviction in Manhattan.

“The White House has made a mockery of the rule of law and fundamentally altered our politics in un-American ways,” the pledge states. “As a Senate Republican conference, we are unwilling to aid and abet this White in its project to tear this country apart. To that end, we will not 1) allow any increase to non-security related funding for this administration, or any appropriations bill which funds partisan lawfare; 2) vote to confirm this administration’s political and judicial appointees; and 3) allow expedited consideration and passage of Democrat legislation or authorities that are not directly relevant to the safety of the American people.”

While the Democrats and Democrat-aligned Independents under Chuck Schumer enjoy a 51-49 majority in the Senate, it takes 60 votes to close debates in the upper chamber, empowering the Republicans to filibuster most legislation.

Whether Senate Republicans beyond those signed up to Sen. Lee’s pledge will use their power to block the Democrats in Congress remains to be seen. However, even Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, a longtime enemy of Trump, has expressed anger at the former president’s conviction. “These charges never should have been brought in the first place,” he wrote, predicting “the conviction to be overturned on appeal.”

The Manhattan case, brought by Democrat District Alvin Bragg and overseen by a judge who donated to Joe Biden and the Stop Republicans group, has drawn criticism across the political spectrum. CNN Senior Legal Analyst Eli Honig branded it an “ill-conceived, unjustified mess” that “contorted the law.”

Trump Allies Mike Roman, Ken Chesebro, James Troupis INDICTED for Questioning 2020 Results.

Three individuals who spearheaded the challenge to Wisconsin‘s 2020 presidential election results on behalf of the Trump campaign have been indicted by the state’s Attorney General Josh Kaul (D-WI) over their efforts. According to court documents filed early on Tuesday, attorney Kenneth Chesebro, former Trump campaign official Mike Roman, and James Troupis — a former judge and Trump campaign attorney — are charged with a single felony forgery.

The felony forgery charges stem from the three men’s role in organizing an alternative slate of electors and soliciting their signatures on paperwork attesting that former President Donald J. Trump won the state in the 2020 election. Chesboro and Roman were previously named as Trump co-conspirators in prosecutions in Georgia and Arizona over similar actions, though Chesboro has struck a plea deal in the Georgia prosecution. Troupis has not been previously charged in any other state.

As of Tuesday morning, Wisconsin‘s Attorney General hadn’t officially announced the charges, though the filings were publicly accessible on a court docket for Dane County, where the state capital of Madison is located.

While Democrats continue to insist that voter fraud did not impact the 2020 presidential election, recent evidence suggests otherwise.

The National Pulse reported in April that research from the Heartland Institute suggests that mail-in voting in 2020 was tainted by widespread fraud. Additionally, an investigation in Georgia into irregularities in Fulton County revealed that election officials used improper procedures during the election and cannot account for thousands of missing ballot images.

Louisiana Approves Surgical Castration for Pedos.

The Louisiana Legislature has approved a bill allowing judges to order surgical castration for those convicted of sex crimes against children under the age of 13. The bill now awaits the signature of Republican Gov. Jeff Landry. If signed, Louisiana would become the first state to implement such a punishment.

The bill was passed by the GOP-controlled legislature and gives judges the option to sentence someone to surgical castration following a conviction for certain aggravated sex crimes. These crimes include rape, incest, and molestation of children younger than 13. Currently, Louisiana and a few other states, such as Alabama, California, Florida, and Texas, permit chemical castration. This involves drugs that reduce testosterone levels and decrease sex drive.

Some states allow predator offenders to opt for surgical castration, but no state currently permits a judge to impose surgical castration directly.

“This is a consequence,” said Republican state Sen. Valarie Hodges during a committee hearing in April. “It’s a step over and beyond just going to jail and getting out.”

The castration bill received overwhelming support in both legislative chambers, with opposition coming mostly from Democrats. Notably, however, Democratic state Sen. Regina Barrow authored the legislation, arguing the need for an additional deterrent and punishment for such crimes.

“The legislation addresses heinous acts against children,” Barrow said during an April committee meeting.

Governor Landry has yet to indicate his intention to sign it into law. As Louisiana’s Attorney General, he generally pursued an America First agenda, moving lawsuits against the Joe Biden regime for pressuring and colluding with tech firms to censor Americans and asking the Supreme Court to reject 2020 election results in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan, citing voting irregularities.

Biden’s Stealth Amnesty: 350,000 Asylum Cases Terminated Without Review.

The Joe Biden regime appears to be granting “mass amnesty” for hundreds of thousands of migrants by stealth. Since 2022, the federal government has terminated over 350,000 asylum cases “without a decision on the merits of their asylum claim,” — allowing them to remain in the U.S. essentially unmonitored without receiving either a deportation order or a grant of asylum.

“This is just a massive amnesty under the guise of prosecutorial discretion,” said Andrew Arthur, a former immigration judge now with the Center for Immigration Studies. “You’re basically allowing people who don’t have a right to be in the United States to be here indefinitely,” he added.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) sources warn they have seen a spike in migrants committing crimes after their asylum cases were dismissed, pleading with the New York Post to “Please let everyone know what’s really going on.”

PUBLIC SAFETY.

ICE sources and immigration lawyers warn migrants no longer have to report to ICE after their asylum cases are dismissed. They also stress this makes it much harder to deport migrants even if they are caught committing crimes afterward.

“If the migrants, who ICE no longer controls or monitors, commit crimes after the dismissal, ICE will have to start all over and issue a new Notice to Appear in court and start the clock all over again,” one source explained.

Only 4,730 were allowed to remain in the U.S., with no grant of asylum or deportation being handed down in 2020, Donald Trump’s last full year in office. This rose to 18,119 in 2021, higher than any year of Trump’s first term, then exploded to 102,550 in 2022 and 149,305 in 2023. So far, in 2024, 113,843 migrants have been allowed to remain with no asylum decision, on top of 26,514 who have been proactively granted asylum.

Polls show over half of likely voters in the U.S. believe Biden is “encouraging” illegal aliens to enter the United States en masse to “create a permanent majority” for the Democratic Party.

By the end of his term, the 81-year-old is projected to have overseen an illegal immigration influx equivalent to all legal immigration through Ellis Island from 1982 to 1954.

Cops Shot by Venezuelan Illegal.

Two New York Police Department (NYPD) officers were shot early Monday morning by an illegal alien from Venezuela following an attempted traffic stop. The shooting occurred at approximately 1:40 AM at the intersection of 89th Street and 23rd Avenue. During the stop attempt, the suspect, identified as 19-year-old Bernardo Raul Castro-Mata, allegedly jumped off his scooter and fled on foot. As the officers pursued him, the suspect opened fire at them. They returned fire, hitting Castro-Mata in the ankle.

Both police officers were subsequently treated for their injuries and released from the hospital. One officer sustained a gunshot wound to the leg, while the other was saved by his bulletproof vest.

Donald Trump has warned of the rise in Venezuelan migrant crime, stressing the need to stop the ultra-violent Tren de Aragua gang, which also operates across Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, and Panama, from turning its foothold in the U.S. into an entrenched position.

The former president’s tough stance against crime has earned the endorsement of thousands of New York bodegas. He is polling surprisingly close to Joe Biden, who endorses pro-criminal policies, such as cashless bail, in the Empire State. Sixty-four percent of New Yorkers blame Biden for the migrant crisis, and 70 percent believe he is unfit for office.

Castro-Mata crossed into the United States through Eagle Pass, Texas, in July 2023. The burden imposed on law enforcement by criminal migrants has become enormous under Biden, with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) tasked with monitoring 617,000 illegals with criminal records or pending criminal charges — more than the entire population of the State of Wyoming.
