Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton says the “Republican establishment” is once again attempting to remove him from office, either by “cooperating with the Biden [government] to try to take me out with a federal case” or by resurrecting their failedimpeachment efforts against him. The America First AG warns the Texas House General Investigative Committee, notionally under Republican control but “largely controlled by Democrats,” will “stop at nothing to remove me from office.”
“Just like Biden’s relentless attacks on President Trump, establishment Republicans in Texas have joined forces with Democrats to launch a full-scale lawfare assault against me,” Paxton writes in an official statement.
“These lame-duck Republicans, who lost their primaries thanks to my support, are now conspiring with Democrats… [T]hese weak-kneed, pro-open-border Republicans will work with the Democrats to replace me with an AG who will turn a blind eye to voter fraud,” Paxton explains.
“Texas, this is a warning—they want to rig this election against Trump,” he continues, reiterating that the ultimate goal of the “Austin elite” is to install a new state attorney general who will “refuse to prosecute voter fraud.”
Paxton’s shambolic first impeachment unraveled thanks to readers of The National Pulse successfully lobbying Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick to force House impeachment managers to produce their “evidence” against Paxton.

Billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk has criticized mail-in voting and voting machines as being “too risky” on his X platform, formerly Twitter. “Electronic voting machines and anything mailed in is too risky,” Musk wrote, adding: “We should mandate paper ballots and in-person voting only.”
Musk, who also owns SpaceX and Tesla, shared several reports on security concerns around voting machines over the past decade. One of the articles shared by the South African billionaire outlines possible problems with voting machines using the Windows CE operating system, which was 20 years old at the time the article was published in 2016.
He also stressed the work of Professor Alex Halderman, who exposed “critical vulnerabilities” in voting machines in 2021.
In another post on X, Musk endorsed the use of paper ballots, quoting another X user saying Argentina was able to count as many as 27 million ballots in less than six hours. “This should be a requirement. If Argentina can do it, so can America!” Musk said.
Musk also backed the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act legislation, which is being pushed by House Republicans and aims to prevent noncitizens from voting in federal elections. Quoting a post touting the SAVE Act by House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), Musk wrote: “Those who oppose this are traitors. All Caps: TRAITORS.”
The SAVE Act revises the National Voter Registration Act to require proof of citizenship for individuals who register to vote and mandates the removal of all foreign nationals from state voter rolls.
Survey data published earlier this year reveals that Americans overwhelmingly support voter ID laws, paper ballots, and election day holidays, among other voting measures.

Billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk has criticized mail-in voting and voting machines as being "too risky" on his X platform, formerly Twitter. "Electronic voting machines and anything mailed in is too risky," Musk wrote, adding: "We should mandate paper ballots and in-person voting only."
House Republicans passed the Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act which would amend current federal voter laws to prevent noncitizens from casting ballots in federal elections. The vote for passage was largely along party lines.
The SAVE Act, sponsored by Representative Chip Roy (R-TX), was introduced in response to mounting concerns regarding noncitizen voters in states across the country. At the state level, Democrat lawmakers have expanded access to driver’s licenses for illegalimmigrants and other noncitizens. Subsequently, these same Democrat lawmakers have also backed laws at the state and federal level that require government forms—including driver’s license applications—to offer applicants the option to register to vote.
“Radical progressive Democrats are engaged in a wholesale attack on citizenship and what it means to be an American,” Rep. Roy said in a statement to The National Pulse following the SAVE Act‘s passage. He added: “We will only be able to keep this republic as a republic as long as our citizenship as Americans remains meaningful. That’s why I introduced the SAVE Act in the first place, and it’s why the People’s House passed it today.”
Without stringent proof-of-citizenship requirements—opposed mainly by state and national Democrats—noncitizens face few roadblocks to being added to state voter rolls. The National Pulse has documented instances of noncitizen voters and state legal changes that make noncitizens casting illegal ballots more likely.
The SAVE Act, which now heads to the U.S. Senate for consideration, would require proof of citizenship for individuals who register to vote at departments of motor vehicles (DMVs) and other state agencies. It also mandates the removal of foreign nationals from state voting registers.

Approximately 85,000 children who crossed the U.S. border as unaccompanied minors are missing after being placed with sponsors. Government whistleblowers shared this information with a Senate panel on Tuesday. They said that children are often placed with individuals who are not their relatives and provided evidence of abuse and trafficking.
Tara Lee Rodas, a whistleblower with a 20-year federal career, described her experiences at the Pomona Fairplex Emergency Intake Site, where she served as Deputy to the Director of the Federal Case Management Team.
One case involved a 16-year-old Guatemalan girl named Carmen, who was placed with a man claiming to be her brother but who subsequently posted child pornography online.
Rodas also stated that gangs like MS-13 are involved in child placement. Despite warnings, authorities retaliated against her rather than investigate her claims.
Whistleblower Deborah White alleges that sponsors are rarely vetted face-to-face and fake documents are pervasive.
“Children were not going to their parents. Children were being trafficked with billions of taxpayer dollars by a contractor failing to vet sponsors and process children safely, with government officials complicit in it,” she said.
The oversight of sponsors by the Department of Human Services involved minimal follow-up, typically limited to a single phone call 30 days post-placement. By that time, many children could no longer be contacted.
Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra maintains that no children have gone missing from HHS custody; however, whistleblowers clarified that this claim was technically accurate only until transportation companies delivered the children to their sponsors. The children often went missing shortly thereafter.

CNN CEO Mark Thompson announced a round of layoffs on Wednesday, totaling around 100 employees. The network chief said the shakeup was part of a new plan to transition the cable news network into the digital age. In recent months, the beleaguered news network has faced the lowest rating in three decades.
“Turning a great news organization towards the future is not a one-day affair,” Thompson said in a memo to staff. “It happens in stages and over time.”
He described these changes as a critical milestone in CNN‘s transformation. As part of this restructuring, approximately three percent of CNN’s workforce will be laid off.
Thompson envisions a subscription service that will generate over $1 billion in revenue. This initiative follows the short-lived launch and cancellation of CNN+ in 2022, following the merger of WarnerMedia and Discovery. His strategy also includes unifying CNN‘s disparate divisions of U.S. television, international television, and digital under one umbrella, aiming to utilize newsroom resources better.
Additionally, Thompson emphasized using artificial intelligence (AI) to further CNN’s mission, highlighting a “follow the sun” news model for round-the-clock global coverage. Consequently, CNN will expand its Hong Kong office and increase reliance on its London and Los Angeles bureaus. The CEO contends this will enhance the network’s response to unexpected news events.
The National Pulse reported last week that CNN media reporter Hadas Gold admitted the network—among others—failed to adequately cover Joe Biden‘s cognitive decline because they feared it would help former President Donald J. Trump‘s 2024 presidential re-election campaign.
Distrust in television news, especially at CNN, has likely had a far more detrimental impact on revenue than its programming or newsroom and bureau structure.

Former President Donald J. Trump has announced plans to prosecute individuals engaging in election fraud, suggesting billionaire Mark Zuckerberg should be cautious given his past election interference. Trump’s message was posted on his social media platform, Truth Social, on Tuesday, where he pledged unprecedented action against illegal election manipulation.
“All I can say is that if I’m elected President, we will pursue Election Fraudsters at levels never seen before, and they will be sent to prison for long periods of time,” Trump said in his post. He added: “We already know who you are. DON’T DO IT! ZUCKERBUCKS, be careful!”
Trump’s post was ostensibly in support of the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which mandates proof of citizenship for voting in federal elections. This follows an earlier Truth Social post in February 2023, where Trump accused Zuckerberg of cheating in the election, citing a report that noted an investigation into Zuckerberg’s $2 million donation to a Georgia election board.
Zuckerberg has continuously weaponized his companies against former President Trump and Republican candidates. The National Pulse reported shortly before the June 27 presidential debate that Zuckerberg’s Instagram was limiting users’ exposure to “political content.” Instagram had already imposed a requirement to “opt-in” to seeing political content, described in the app as content “likely to mention governments, elections or social topics that affect a group of people and/or society at large,” from users they do not follow.
The Facebook founder’s Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL) pours vast sums of ‘Zuckerbucks’ into what are supposed to be improved voter access initiatives, such as new absentee ballot drop boxes. However, the schemes overwhelmingly benefit Democratic-leaning areas, with election integrity groups arguing they grant leftists greater voting access than conservatives and are, therefore, unlawful.

Nevada’s Latino voters comprise nearly 20 percent of the crucial swing state’s electorate, making them an essential demographic for any presidential campaign wanting to win the state this November. For Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, however, concerns over the economy, illegalimmigration, inflation, and Biden’s health have seen their support among the state’s Latino voters plummet.
Speaking with The Washington Post, Nevada‘s Latino and Hispanic voters aired their frustrations with Biden and the Democratic Party. They expressed frustration with the cost of everyday goods, job competition with illegalimmigrants, public safety, and disillusionment that Biden will fulfill his campaign promises.
“I’m an immigrant, and I see that Democrats have been promising us immigration reform for years, and at the end of the day, we’re being ignored,” David Mungia, who works at a Nevada hospital, said in an interview. He added: “I want someone to earn my vote. Right now, I think Trump could offer us more than Biden.”
While some Democrats are looking to replace Biden with Harris at the top of the presidential ticket following the incumbent’s disastrous June 27 debate performance, she also struggles to appeal to Nevada’s Latinos. “I support us girls, and I would love to see a woman run the country, but I don’t think it’s gonna happen,” said Isabella Bello, a 21-year-old nursing student who revealed she’s voting for former President Donald J. Trump.
“She’s been on [Biden’s] side all this time and nothing was done on her side either as vice president. I think people want change for our country, and she isn’t that,” Bello added.
Recent polling has shown nearly two-thirds of Latinos support Trump’s plan to deport illegal aliens. Meanwhile, data shows that Latino and Hispanic voters overwhelmingly disapprove of Biden‘s handling of the U.S. border crisis.

Democratic election attorney and Russian collusion hoaxer Marc Elias is working to carve out a new avenue for backing candidates through ‘dark money‘-funded websites presenting as media outlets. Elias’s law firm is representing a liberal political website that claims to be a legitimate news outlet despite its primary content and activities more closely resembling a Super PAC.
The Morning Mirror, operated by Star Spangled Media, presents as a general-interest news blog that publishes a random assortment of stories without an author’s byline. However, as the 2024 election cycle kicked off, the blog began pushing stories touting certain Democratic candidates‘ records on abortion, with Star Spangled Media subsequently boosting these posts through digital advertising.
By claiming to be a for-profit media operation, however, Star Spangled Media can avoid standard campaign finance disclosures and could serve as a conduit for nearly untraceable Democratic ‘dark money.’
CAMPAIGN FINANCE QUESTIONS.
Star Spangled Media and The Morning Mirror’s partisan stories and digital ads are drawing scrutiny from Arizona‘s campaign finance regulator, the Arizona Citizens Clean Election Commission. The commission is investigating whether the media network is really a political entity—such as a political action committee (PAC)—that should be subject to the state’s campaign finance disclosure laws. Elias’s law firm, representing Star Spangled Media, insists the operation is a journalistic endeavor, not a political one.
“Star Spangled Media is a for-profit media company that is in the business of publishing and distributing original news stories, commentaries, and editorials,” Jonathan S. Berkon, an attorney at the Elias Group, argued in a letter to the commission in late May. Berkon contends that the ads are paid for through for-profit revenue, meaning Star Spangled Media is not a “covered person” under the state’s campaign finance law.
Despite indications that Star Spangled Media is a PAC moonlighting as a media company, the election commission maintains that without additional information, it cannot determine whether the Democrat-aligned organization violated the state’s campaign finance laws. The commission contends “it is impossible… to determine whether its political articles—many of which appear to be generated by using campaign created media—go through the same process as its non-political articles.”
“Because the Commission cannot conclude the press exception applies, the Commission cannot conclude that Star Spangled Media is not a covered person and does not intend to engage in campaign media spending,” the Arizona Citizens Clean Election Commission added, concluding: “Equally importantly, however, the Commission is not concluding the opposite—simply put more facts about Star Spangled Media’s internal operations and news presence in Arizona would be necessary for the Commission to reach a reasoned conclusion about whether the press exception applies.”

MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski has attacked Rep. Nancy Pelosi for refusing to endorse Joe Biden as the Democratic nominee, complaining that Democrats are fueling their own “self-destruction.” Pressed to back Biden, the former House speaker equivocated, saying it was “up to the President to decide if he is going to run.”
“We’re all encouraging him to make that decision because time is running short… and people want him to make that decision,” Pelosi said—despite Biden insisting the decision has been made and he is staying in the race, repeatedly and unambiguously.
“I think we all ought to take a close look, especially Democrat, at ourselves because there is a bit of self-destruction that is happening here. I really disagree with Nancy Pelosi, with her remarks,” Brzezinski complained. “She’s a close family friend. But Joe Biden is the president of the United States, and he says he’s not leaving. Those are his words. I suggest somebody think about, consider, believing him,” she added.
Since Biden’s disastrous debate with Donald Trump, Brzezinski’s co-host and husband, Joe Scarborough, has been less supportive of the 81-year-old incumbent. Despite having previously said that “this version of Biden, intellectually, analytically, is the best Biden ever,” he joined the chorus of pundits suggesting he should go after the debate.
“If he were CEO, and he turned in a performance like that, would any corporation in America keep him on as CEO?” Scarborough demanded.

In a three-to-one decision, the Georgia State Election Board has amended state election rules to ensure the number of ballots cast is the number of ballots counted for each day of voting. According to the rule change, the poll manager and two witnesses—sworn in as poll officers—will remove the ballots from the scanner box and present the votes to three independent poll officers for a hand count.
Each poll officer will proceed to count through the ballots cast. Once each of the three officers concludes their count, they must sign a control document denoting their tally. If the numbers of each count do not match with each other and align with the voting machine count, then the poll manager is directed to immediately identify the source of the inconsistency and correct it if possible.
Consistent ballot counts and custody have been an ongoing concern in U.S. elections, especially in Georgia. The National Pulse reported in May that a bombshell investigation by the Georgia Secretary of State’s office found that Fulton County had implemented improper procedures during its 2020 presidential election recount. Even more concerning, Fulton County election officials could not account for thousands of ballot images from their initial scanning. Additionally, duplicate images of some ballot scans were discovered, implying that votes may have been counted multiple times.
The Georgia State Election Board responded by issuing a letter of reprimand to the county and assigning a monitor to supervise the upcoming 2024 presidential election. Fulton County’s representative, Jessica Corbitt, claims that no proof of fraud has been found, and that the county is focusing on upgrading its election procedures and infrastructure.
