The Greek government has warned the current conflict between Israel and Hamas will only accelerate the rate of illegal migration into Europe, a trend that is already led by Palestinians.
The Greek Minister for Migration, Dimitris Keridis, complained to a national broadcaster the ongoing war is bound to add pressure to the entire European continent and will only be exacerbated if domestic affairs in countries such as Lebanon, Egypt, and Libya further deteriorate.
“[A]s if the multitude of flashpoints in northern Africa and Syria were not pushing thousands of migrants and refugees to Europe already, now this,” Keridis argued before adding that illegal migration will not cease even if Israel succeeds in removing Hamas or the leaders of the terrorist organization due to the instability of the region.
Greek authorities have seen illegal migration double in 2023 compared to last year’s figure of 18,780. Palestinians account for around 22 percent of illegal entries into the country, followed by Afghans, Somalis, and Syrians.
As a result, the government demanded the European Union increase its budgets for tackling illegal migration alongside Cyprus, Italy, Malta, and Spain earlier this week.

Far-left Philadelphia activist and journalist Josh Kruger, shot dead in his home in early October, allegedly began a sexual relationship with his suspected killer, Robert Davis, when the latter was just 15.
Kruger, 39, received substantial media coverage after his killing due to his vocal defense of the soft-on-crime policies of Soros-backed District Attorney Larry Krasner. He had previously worked for the city administration, and prominent Democrats including Krasner, Senator John Fetterman, and Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta paid tribute to him following his death.
The family of Davis, who remains on the run as of the time of publication, now say Kruger, who was HIV positive, began a homosexual relationship with the black teen when he was just 15. The suspect’s mother says he told her Kruger “wanted me to do some stuff I didn’t want to do, and if I didn’t do it, he said he was going to blackmail me.”
While these allegations are currently unconfirmed, police sources have told local media “disturbing” content has been found on Kruger’s phone, which has been turned over to the Special Victims Unit for further investigation.
In 2018, Kruger said accusations of pedophilia against gay men such as himself were a “centuries old smear” and “part of a strategy to target LGBTQ people with violence.”

Donald Trump’s attorney, Alina Habba, did not fail to tick a box to request a jury trial in the New York civil fraud case despite widely circulated claims. Judge Arthur Engoron amended his comments of “nobody asked for” a jury trial on Wednesday following the false reports, arguing the claim “keeps coming up”. He explained that New York Attorney General Letitia James “clearly checked off non-jury” before the proceedings began.
“It would not have helped to make a motion, nobody forgot to check off a box,” Engoron explained, adding the punishment sought by the state of New York is an “equitable” remedy rather than a “legal” remedy.
Habba, who was forced to defend herself and the former President’s legal team amidst the false accusations, said in court following clarification, “Thank you, your honor. Press, did you hear that? I didn’t ‘forget to check the box’.”
Attorney General James is accusing Trump of corrupting his relationship with banks and insurers for over a decade by giving them financial statements that inflated his net worth. However, she likely arrived at this conclusion by deflating the estimated worth of Trump’s assets, such as his Mar-a-Lago mansion, which she claimed was worth just $18 million, despite a nearby patch of trees selling for $150 million. She is seeking $250 million in damages.

House Republicans have introduced a resolution to expel Representative George Santos (R-N.Y.) from Congress after he was charged in a 23-count superseding indictment in a New York District Court earlier this week.
Representative Anthony D’Esposito (R-N.Y.) took to X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday afternoon to announce the move: “Today, I’ll be introducing an expulsion resolution to rid the People’s House of fraudster, George Santos.”
“I know that Ethics has been a little busy, but, you know, it’s time that we see some results,” he added.
D’Esposito further explained the resolution has been co-sponsored by several other New York House Republicans, including Nick LaLota, Mike Lawler, Marc Molinaro, Nick Langworthy, and Brandon Williams.
To oust Santos from Congress would require support from two-thirds of the House, a milestone Nick LaLota says is attainable. “I predict this resolution is going to catch fire. Many people feel how we do,” Lalota stated.
This is not the first instance of the House attempting to remove Santos as House Democrats sponsored a resolution to expel him from Congress in May this year. Yet, Republicans voted to refer the motion to the Ethics Committee, which has investigated Santos since March.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has launched his most brazen attack on former President Donald Trump to date, claiming Trump “attack[ed] our friend and ally, Israel” and falsely claiming he “praise[d] Hezbollah terrorists” during a speech in Florida.
The clip of Trump’s speech, however, undermines the claim. In context, it is clear the 45th President was referring to how “smart” Hezbollah leadership has been in comparison with the Biden government’s capabilities.
“I read all of Biden’s security people, can you imagine, national defense people, and they said ‘Gee, I hope Hezbollah doesn’t attack from the north, because that’s the most vulnerable spot!'” Trump said.
“You know, Hezbollah’s very smart, they’re all very smart. The press doesn’t like when I say it… I said that President Xi of China, 1.4 billion people, he controls it with an iron fist, I said he’s very smart – they killed me the next day,” he recalled.
In lock step with the corporate media, DeSantis chose to misrepresent this as “praise” for America’s enemies, rather than a sober warning not to reveal weaknesses that terrorists could exploit.
Terrorists have murdered at least 1,200 Israelis and 22 Americans and are holding more hostage, so it is absurd that anyone, much less someone running for President, would choose now to attack our friend and ally, Israel, much less praise Hezbollah terrorists as “very smart.”
Trump described the Hamas raid as “savage” in the full version of his speech, and recalled how he “fought for Israel like no President in history, but then Crooked Joe Biden came along and tossed Israel to the bloodthirsty jihadists” by loosening sanctions on Iran and restoring aid to Gaza and the West Bank.
DeSantis’s claim that Trump attacked Israel also bore no resemblance to reality, as the 45th President was discussing Israeli intelligence failures, not the nation as a whole. Indeed, a full 86 percent of Israeli respondents to a poll released Thursday say their government’s failures were to blame for the Hamas attack.
DeSantis’s team have also been amplifying prominent neoconservatives in their attempt to frame Trump’s comments negatively, with national spokeswoman Carly Atchison sharing a post by war hawk Fox News correspondent Jennifer Griffin alleging the former president was “criticizing Bibi Netanyahu and Israel and praising Hezbollah as ‘smart.'” Griffin, in turn, was sharing a post by a Democrat PAC known as Meidas Touch, which was explicitly formed by the far-left to attack Donald Trump.
Neoconservatives have been using the backdrop of the Hamas attack on Israel to try and foment a new war with Iran.

Inflation ticked up in September with the cost of goods up 0.4 percent over August according to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) report released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). Overall prices were up 3.7 percent compared to this time last year, slightly higher than the 3.6 percent forecasted. The increase in inflation was driven primarily by increasing costs for food and housing.
Heritage Foundation economist E.J. Antoni says that because of high inflation, the typical American family is now $7,300 poorer than they were in January of 2021. Antoni also notes that the average American worker is now paying more in the hidden tax of inflation than they are federal income taxes.
September’s CPI report also suggests that the Federal Reserve is a long way off from its 2 percent inflation target. The annualized trend since June 2022 remains elevated at above 3 percent with no signs of decelerating.
Opinions remain mixed on whether the new CPI data will push the Federal Reserve to institute another interest rate hike before the end of the year. Antoni believes the Federal Reserve will raise rates by 25bps at their next meeting. Jason Furman, who served as the chair of the Council of Economic Advisors during the Obama administration, says the September inflation number “Doesn’t come close to the bar for a hike in November.”

Poland, which became one of the first major countries in the West to vote in a national conservative government in 2015, faces a make-or-break election on Sunday, with globalist former premier Donald Tusk poised to return to office at the head of a coalition of left-leaning parties.
Tusk, who abandoned his post as Prime Minister of Poland to take up a much better-paid position as President of the Council of Europe shortly before his party Civic Platform was thrown out of office in 2015, is now eyeing a political comeback. He accuses Law and Justice of “systematically planning, in cold blood, to take Poland out of the European Union.”
Despite its skepticism about the aspirations of politicians in countries like Germany to turn the EU into a fully-fledged United States of Europe – and its willingness to refuse to implement EU policies such as compulsory migrant quotas – Law and Justice denies these accusations.
Law and Justice, commonly known as PiS, also accuse Tusk of being a German puppet, – one of its election adverts featuring the German ambassador calling up PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński and telling him what to do, with Kaczyński replying those days are over.
PiS has organized a number of referendums to take place on the same day as the election. One of the most pertinent relates to the state retirement age, which Tusk increased to 67 but which PiS reduced to 60 for women and 65 for men – despite resisting the mass migration which is supposed to be necessary to pay for aging Westerners.
Even more pertinent is a referendum on migrant quotas, which the EU is once again trying to force on Poland in response to the Mediterranean migrant crisis.
Tusk’s party agreed to migrant quotas before PiS replaced them and reversed the decision.

Jimmie Akesson, leader of the populist Sweden Democrats, has suggested that migrants who commit crimes or refuse to integrate into Swedish society should be stripped of their Swedish citizenship.
Akesson argued in a recent interview with a Swedish newspaper the country’s migration policy – over the past decade – has been built upon a lie insinuating people who migrate to Sweden want to become Swedish. In fact, “they don’t want that,” he asserted.
“We have a situation where people live in Sweden, as citizens of Sweden, but they still can’t speak Swedish. They have no connection whatsoever to Swedish society. They are only here to commit crimes. They bring down the reputation of Swedish citizenship and Swedish passports internationally,” he explained, before adding: “Sweden now needs to get away from all this … I don’t think there’s any other solution than to start looking at tearing up citizenships.”
Sweden – a country of ten million people – has become notorious throughout Europe for its increasing struggles to accommodate and integrate the over one million people who have arrived in the country over the past decade.
Crime and gang violence have skyrocketed in recent years, with Sweden ranking only behind Mexico in terms of the number of hand grenade explosions occurring in a country not actively involved in an open conflict.

The United States is a “large enough, big enough, economically viable and vibrant enough country to be able to support both” Israel and Ukraine under Joe Biden, insists National Security Council strategic communications co-ordinator John Kirby.
“Both are important,” Kirby said – although whether American taxpayers really can fund the Israeli and Ukrainian militaries simultaneously appears questionable.
U.S. officials have already lamented a “mountain of steel” was built up for the Ukrainian counter-offensive this year, which has achieved very little progress and certainly no breakthrough with little time left before the Autumn rains render further operations unviable. They do not believe similar “mountain” can be found for the Ukrainians to undertake a second such counter-offensive, as “it doesn’t exist.”
Biden himself has already publicly admitted American ammunition is now running “low” – causing Donald Trump to rebuke him for undermining national security – and has had to resort to restocking Ukraine with cluster bombs, outlawed by many U.S. allies for their tendency to litter the ground with unexploded submunitions which kill and maim civilians for years.
Such reserves as still exist will doubtless be further depleted by the decision to send munitions to the Israelis, announced shortly after the Hamas terror raid on the Jewish State over the weekend.

A United States Navy sailor has been charged with conspiring alongside a foreign intelligence officer and accepting a bribe in exchange for providing sensitive military information to the Chinese, according to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).
Wenheng Zhao, a petty officer, received just under $15,000 over 14 separate bribes from a Chinese intelligence agent between August 2021 and May 2023. In exchange for the money, Zhao supplied China with information, photos, and videos of a large American military exercise in the Indo-Pacific region, detailing the time and location of the maneuvers.
Zhao, 26, pleaded guilty to the charges in California on Tuesday afternoon. He faces up to 20 years imprisonment if found guilty – five years for conspiracy and 15 years for bribery.
“Zhao’s guilty plea is an acknowledgement of the betrayal in selling sensitive military information to the Government of China. The FBI reminds all government officials to remain vigilant in reporting potential recruitment efforts by foreign actors…” said the DOJ in a statement.
The same day Zhao was charged, another Navy sailor was accused of similar offenses. Jinchao Wei, 22, has been charged with providing detailed information on weapons and aircraft systems on the USS Essex, to which he was assigned. Wei, however, pleaded not guilty in San Diego.
