On Thursday, the House Judiciary Committee voted to advance contempt proceedings against Attorney General Merrick Garland over his refusal to hand over audio recordings of Joe Biden’s interview with special counsel Robert Hur. The move came shortly after Bideninvoked executive privilege to block the tapes from being released. The House Judiciary Committee began preparing to hold Garland in contempt earlier this month.
House Republicans have demanded the interview audio tapes for months, arguing that the recordings could reveal more about Hur’s conclusions regarding Biden’s mental faculties. DOJ officials have countered that the Republicans’ request for the audio is unjustified, noting that the complete interview transcript has already been made public. However, the Republicans contend in their report that although the transcripts reflect what Biden said, “they do not reflect important verbal context, such as tone or tenor, or nonverbal context, such as pauses or pace of delivery.”
Hur interviewed Biden last year over allegations of mishandling classified documents. Although Hur ultimately decided not to press charges against Biden, his final report described the octogenarian president as an “elderly man with poor memory.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has signed into law legislation emphasizing natural gas energy and dismissing the prioritization of climate change. The new law, which will be enacted on July 1, also restricts the establishment of offshore wind turbines.
“We’re restoring sanity in our approach to energy and rejecting the agenda of the radical green zealots,” DeSantis wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
The legislation, which reportedly removes the word “climate” in nine places, also encourages expansion of natural gas use, loosening gas pipeline regulations while offering increased protection against bans on gas appliances. A less publicized feature of the legislation includes the study of small nuclear reactor technology, the expansion of hydrogen-powered vehicles, and a plan to enhance electric grid security.
Opponents of the bill, like Yoca Arditi-Rocha from the Cleo Institute, claim the legislation serves the fossil fuel industry rather than the people by knowingly ignoring the warning signs of climate change.
The law also ends requirements that government agencies hold conferences and meetings in hotels certified by the state’s environmental agency as “green lodging” and that state agencies look at a list of “climate-friendly” products before purchasing.
The Florida legislation is part of a growing pushback against “green” policies meant to address “climate change.” Such regulations have severe economic consequences worldwide and may, in fact, be based on junk science.

In a move to recognize former President Donald Trump’s lasting impact on U.S. history and diplomacy, a group of House Republicans has proposed a resolution to award him the Congressional Gold Medal. This prestigious award, considered the highest civilian honor in the country, alongside the Presidential Medal of Freedom, commemorates those who have significantly contributed to U.S. culture and history.
The resolution, spearheaded by Florida Representative Anna Paulina Luna and co-signed by seven other Republican supporters, aims to celebrate Trump’s “exceptional leadership.” The former president oversaw the destruction of the Islamic State’s physical caliphate in Syria and Iraq, reversed the Barack Obama administration’s appeasement of Iran, and strong-armed European NATO members into increasing their contributions, among other foreign policy achievements — including a historic summit with North Korea. Famously, he was the first president since the 1970s not to lead the U.S. into any new wars.
However, in order for Trump to receive the Congressional Gold Medal, the resolution will have to win passage in both the Republican-majority House of Representatives and the Democrat-controlled Senate, which seems unlikely.
The House GOP has been rather limp in its support of former President Trump as the Joe Biden regime wages an ongoing lawfare campaign against him. Resolutions to expunge politically motivated impeachments, which ended in Senate acquittals, were promised almost a year ago, when Kevin McCarthy was still Speaker. These could have been passed without reference to the Senate, but ultimately went nowhere.

The Biden regime is repurposing federal foster care funds to pay for children wishing to change their gender identity. A document from the Children’s Bureau clarifies that federal funds can now be used by child welfare agencies to “support the provision of services, interventions, and supports to LGBTQIA2S+ children.”
Titled “Federal Funding to Support Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, Two-Spirit, Plus (LGBTQIA2S+) Children, Youth, Young Adults, and Families,” the document explains that child welfare funds can now be used to support kids’ “expression of their gender identity and/or sexual orientation.”
“[F]unding may be used in a number of ways to support LGBTQIA2S+ youth and allow them to participate in positive, affirming, age-appropriate activities,” the document states. “For example, Chafee funds may be used to purchase personal items related to supporting a youth’s expression of their gender identity and/or sexual orientation.”
The Chafee program was established to help children within the foster care system transition into adult life, with an emphasis on supporting education, housing, and employment services. However, with the redefinition under the Biden government, clothing and items such as chest binders and prosthetic penises are now eligible for federal funding.
The Biden regime has energetically engaged in the promotion of radical gender identity theory to children. Specifically, the government recently mandated transgender pronoun use in schools. It has also promoted the so-called “Transgender Day of Visibility.”

Republican lawmakers are lobbying the U.S. Secret Service to change the security plans for the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They argue that the zone designated for protestors is too close to the event, creating a “mandated confrontational area” where convention attendees will run into anti-Republican activists. The Secret Service is refusing to make any changes to the controversial plans.
“I’m not a security expert, but this just looks like an obvious area of concern here that I think needs to be changed,” said Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson, who held a meeting with the Secret Service’s director, Kimberly A. Cheatle, to request changes.
Previously, U.S. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell wrote to Cheatle expressing concerns about the current security plan. “I am deeply concerned about reports that the security perimeter around the Republican Convention site in Milwaukee may be creating a likely — and preventable — area of conflict between protestors and Convention attendees and delegates,” he wrote.
Cheatle claims she lacks the “authority” to change the current security arrangements, but Secret Service officials have briefed the press that they do not believe changes are justified.
Anthony Guglielmi, the Secret Service’s chief of communications, has insisted that “the security perimeter for the 2024 Republican National Convention is based on security considerations, including protective intelligence, risk, and threat assessments, and is developed to ensure the highest level of security while minimizing impacts to the public.”
DEI AND DANGEROUS INTENTIONS.
The Secret Service is accused of having undermined its effectiveness by pursuing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies under the Joe Biden regime. In April, an agent tasked with protecting Vice President Kamala Harris allegedly attacked her superior officer during a bizarre episode in which she pelted colleagues with menstrual pads. Agents have raised questions about her dubious record, suggesting she should never have been hired in the first place.
Concerns have also been raised that Democrat lawmakers and others are purposely undermining the personal security of Donald Trump and his supporters. After Bennie G. Thompson, Ranking Member of the Committee on Homeland Security, put forward legislation attempting to strip Trump of Secret Service protection if he is imprisoned in New York, legal analyst Alan Dershowitz argued the Democrats “want him killed.”
The RNC convention will be held from July 15 to July 18.

The 81-year-old JoeBiden suffered from a life-threatening aneurysm that had been misdiagnosed as a pinched nerve in February 1988. After having to take upwards of ten Tylenol a day to provide a modicum of pain relief, doctors discovered the dangerous warping of a blood vessel. If that vessel had burst, it would have likely been fatal.
Biden underwent an emergency surgery to correct the condition and head off its potentially deadly consequences. An aneurysm is a warping in a blood vessel, commonly as a bulge or bubble. Aneurysms can fill with blood and subsequently rupture. When ruptured, aneurysms are fatal in about 50 percent of cases. Even among those who survive, two-thirds will suffer long-term neurological damage.
In the case of Biden, his condition was so severe — stemming from both the misdiagnosis and the Delaware Democrat’s refusal to seek immediate medical attention even as the pain in his neck became unbearable — that a Catholic priest was called in to give him Last Rites. According to the Washington Post:
…Jill Biden, who had been ordered to stay out of the room, burst in, yelling at him to leave. “You’re not giving him the last rites. He’s not going to die,” she said, according to an account by Biden’s sister, Valerie.
Doctors, however, decided to engage in a risky surgery, which ultimately saved Biden’s life.
While in recovery, Biden suffered a pulmonary embolism. This is the sudden blockage of arteries that brings blood to the lungs and can also be a dangerous and potentially fatal condition. The initial February 1988 aneurysm was followed up by a second one being found later that year in May, with Biden once again requiring surgery.
Aneurysms can be genetic and continue to appear in a patient over time. At 81 years old, Biden’s history of aneurysms may raise additional concerns about the closely guarded state of his health. The National Pulse reported in February that Biden refused a cognitive test while receiving his annual physical.

Despite the Biden government’s claims to the contrary, corporate price-gouging has not been driving rises in U.S. inflation, according to research published by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco on Monday. The Biden regime has attempted to blame inflation on corporate America by deploying terms like ‘greedflation’ and ‘shrinkflation.’
Although markups were observed in 2021-2022 for vehicles and petroleum products, markups across all U.S. goods and services have been relatively flat post-pandemic. “As such, rising markups have not been a main driver of the recent surge and subsequent decline in inflation during the current recovery,” wrote bank researchers.
“Data for the current recovery show that the increase in corporate profits is not particularly pronounced compared with previous recoveries,” they wrote. “Markups also have not played much of a role in the slowing of inflation since the summer of 2022.”
The research is a direct rebuttal to the Biden regime’s efforts to blame corporate America for inflation. In a video released around the Super Bowl, Biden slammed snack manufacturers for selling smaller bags of food for the same price. In his most recent State of the Union address, Biden leveled similar accusations against large corporations, accusing Snickers by name of engaging in “shrinkflation” practices.
Inflation continues to be an issue for the incumbent Democrat, and more Americans have faith in former President Donald Trump’s ability to bring it under control versus Biden’s.

Biden’s vice president, Kamala Harris, caused controversy at the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies 2024 legislative leadership summit on Monday when she used vulgar language and appeared to tell young audience members to employ violence in pursuit of certain opportunities.
“We have to know that sometimes people will open the door for you and leave it open,” Harris said. “Sometimes they won’t, and then you need to kick that fucking door down.”
“Here’s the thing about breaking down barriers. It does not mean that you start on one side of the barrier and end up on another,” she said. “There’s breaking involved. And when you break things, you get cut, and you may bleed. And it is worth it every time.”
Harris‘s comments that “breaking” things is “worth it” even though “you get cut and you may bleed” may be seen by some observers as ill-timed. They come amidst mass protests, some of which have turned violent, against Israel’s war with Hamas in Gaza.
The vice president’s decision to use inappropriate language at an official event comes as the Biden campaign is struggling to attract young voters, many of whom are frustrated with his handling of the economy and formerly strong support for Israel.

Former President Donald J. Trump recently spoke about his youngest son, Barron, and his budding interest in politics. In a radio interview with Philadelphia’s Talk Radio 1210 WPHT, Trump spoke of his son’s enthusiasm for politics and academic acumen and revealed that the former First Son sometimes advises him on politics.
“He’s a smart one… he’s a great guy,” Trumpsaid of his son Barron, who will graduate from high school next week. The former President continued: “And he’s really been a great student. And he does like politics.”
Trump said that Barron occasionally offers politicaladvice. “It’s sort of funny. He’ll tell me sometimes, ‘Dad, this is what you have to do,'” he told the Kayal and Company hosts.
Barron, who recently turned 18, graduated from high school on May 17. Despite Democrat-aligned JudgeJuanMerchan — who is presiding over the Mahnattan-based hush money trial — initially ruling that the former President would not be allowed to attend Barron’s graduation. However, the decision has since been revised, and the former President can now attend his son’s graduation ceremony.
The National Pulse reported on Thursday that Barron Trump will serve as a Republican National Convention delegate for Florida, casting a presidential nomination vote for his father. Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and Tiffany Trump Boulos will also serve as delegates to the Republican Party convention on July 15-18.
Barron Trump has been the target of repeated corporatemedia attacks. Last week, The National Pulse revealed that the left-wing Daily Beast website fabricated a story about the former President‘s youngest son after failing to confirm rumors alleged by the site’s new ‘Chief Content Officer’ Joanna Coles.
