Left-Wing Mag Admits Trump NYC Fine is Politically Motivated.

Leftist magazine The New Republic (TNR) admits that the fine Judge Arthur Engoron handed former President Donald Trump for alleged business ‘fraud’ in New York is exceptional and politically motivated.

Writes TNR:

Is New York State treating Donald Trump differently from other real estate scofflaws in requiring him to disgorge $454 million by Monday? Yes. Would another such person who lied to banks and insurance companies about the value of his real estate holdings become the target of a major investigation by the state attorney general? Probably not. Was Judge Arthur F. Engeron, in handing down last month his $454 million judgment against Trump, trying to banish Trump from New York’s real estate industry? Possibly so.

TNR then goes on to quote a number of sources explaining how and why Engeron’s move is unprecedented. Clifford Robert, one of Trump’s lawyers, explains that the fine is “’the definition of an unconstitutional Excessive Fine and a Taking’ because, should Trump win on appeal, he’ll have suffered ‘harm that cannot be repaired.’”

Rich Lowry of the National Review observes that, “Tish James has used the power of the state to attempt, with some success so far, to destroy [Trump’s] business that he’s built over decades and humiliate him personally.”

Even the Washington Post, TNR points out, ponders if it is “fair to require Trump to post a bond of this magnitude to be able to appeal the judgment against him?”

TNR’s concession follows a similar admission from The New York Times that Trump’s bond in the case is “impossible” to pay.

Of course, putting Trump in an impossible situation may well have been the point. Attorney General Letitia James is already moving to seize Trump’s real estate assets.

‘Make New York Great Again!’ – Trump Posts Special Message to Hometown.

President Donald J. Trump posted a special message to New York on Friday afternoon, railing against the leftist judge Arthur Engoron, as well as Attorney General Letitia James.

“Arthur Engoron is a Rogue Judge who was intimidated by the big, nasty, and ugly mouth of [Letitia] James, considered by many to be the WORST Attorney General in the U.S. She is a Low IQ individual who campaigned for Governor, using my name, and got TROUNCED,” Trump characteristically stated.

“She and her PUPPET Engoron, who valued Mar-a-Lago at $18,000,000 when it is worth 50 to 100 times that amount, have destroyed all business prospects for New York State, that is already dying, or dead. But have no fear —When I become the 47th President, we will MAKE NEW YORK GREAT AGAIN!” he concluded.

The message comes on the heels of Trump remarking that he was going to be making a “big play” in New York state, with a possible Make America Great Again rally slated for the Bronx neighborhood, and even Madison Square Garden.

Ronna McDaniel Works for MSNBC Now. Seriously…

Former RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel has signed a deal to appear as a political commentator on NBC and MSNBC news programs. McDaniel resigned as chairwoman of the Republican Party earlier this month after she faced mounting criticism over questionable expenditures and lackluster fundraising. North Carolina Republican chairman Michael Whatley and former President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump, who will serve as co-chairs, have replaced McDaniel.

NBC and MSNBC are billing the hire of McDaniel as the addition of a critical conservative voice who will represent the supporters and views of former President Donald Trump. “It couldn’t be a more important moment to have a voice like Ronna’s on the team,” said NBC news editor Carrie Budoff Brown in a memo to staff. She added that Ronna McDaniel will provide “an insider’s perspective on national politics and the future of the Republican Party.”

MSNBC RONNA.

McDaniel will also appear on MSNBC, providing insights into the 2024 presidential election. The leftwing news network has become the hub for anti-Trump voices in the corporate media. MSNBC’s on-air talent has a long history of making absurd claims and pushing pro-Democrat propaganda.

In mid-March, MSNBC host Joy Reid accused conservative lawmakers of “demagoguing” over the murder of 22-year-old Georgia nursing student Laken Riley, allegedly by Venezuelan illegal alien Jose Antonio Ibarra. Reid added that “migrant crime is negligible,” so the legislation — in her opinion — isn’t needed at all.

‘AKIN TO DEFEATING HITLER.’

Mike Barnicle, a seemingly immovable fixture on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, has compared the efforts to defeat Donald Trump to World War II and the fight of American GIs against Adolf Hitler. Other MSNBC guests have backed restricting First Amendment rights, smeared Christians, and attacked rural Americans as ‘cultists.’

The move by McDaniel marks the latest attempt by a Republican Party official to cash in on a media contract. Speculation continues to mount that Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO) is retiring mid-term from Congress to pursue a contributor contract with a major corporate news network that some believe is CNN.

House Passes Democrat-Backed ‘Minibus,’ MTG Files Motion to Vacate Against Speaker Johnson.

Moments after the House of Representatives adopted a ‘minibus’ containing the second package of appropriations bills to fund the U.S. government and avoid a partial shutdown starting this weekend, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) filed a ‘motion to vacate’ with the House clerk. While Rep. Greene’s resolution is not in the House bill ‘hopper,’ she has not formally entered her motion on the floor, meaning — for the time — it is not privileged and will not require House leadership to act within two legislative days on a vote.

The passage of the appropriations package was the impetus for the ‘motion to vacate’ move, according to Rep. Taylor Greene. She told the press outside the Capitol that House Speaker Mike Johnson had blocked Republican attempts to amend the appropriations package and violated the 72-hour rule, which would give lawmakers time to read the legislation. The Georgia Republican said she has the backing of several other Republican Members of the House but wants to give her colleagues time to discuss a possible replacement for Johnson before she makes her motion privileged.

Earlier Friday, Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ) said he believed the Democrats now effectively control the Speaker’s gavel and balked at the House Leadership and Democrat-backed appropriations package. With the retirement of Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO) effective at the end of the day, the Republican House majority will be reduced to just two seats, leaving Speaker Johnson with no room for defections should Democrats vote along with Rep. Taylor Greene to oust him. Just two months ago, Rep. Taylor Greene warned against such a move.

Congress’s ‘Minibus’ Contains Dem Earmarks for Transgender Youth Services, $1.8M For Late-Term Abortion Clinics.

Several controversial Democratic earmarks have been included in the second half of this year’s congressional budget request, drawing sharp criticism from conservative groups. Included in the 1,000-page budget document, released in the early morning hours on Thursday, are earmarks aimed toward LGBTQ+healthcare’ facilities and late-term abortion clinics. Another Democrat earmark funds a multi-million-dollar research project on “gun confiscation.”

The non-profit group Americans Advancing Freedom has criticized the Congressional appropriations package, stating: “Congress can’t pass this legislation in its current form until these egregious earmarks are weeded out.” Conservative critics are also alarmed by what they perceive as a disregard for transparency, with the budget text released in the middle of the night and a rush by Congressional leadership to adopt the legislation.

Some of the Democrat earmarks include a $400,000 appropriation for Wisconsin’s Briarpatch Youth Services, a facility running the “Teens Like Us LGBTQIA2s+” program, and the “Gender Affirming Clothing Program.” The youth center offers pride-prom events as well, permitting LGBTQ youth to participate without parental consent.

Senators Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Bob Menendez (D-NJ) have also requested $400,000 for the Garden State Equality Education Fund. This major LGBTQ+ advocacy group provides certain undergarments for transgender individuals. Additional earmarks involve a $1.8 million request for a Rhode Island hospital performing elective late-term abortions and a $12.5 million appropriation for a National Institutes of Health study focused on firearm control, which opponents deem as ‘research’ into gun confiscation.

The House of Representatives is expected to vote on the appropriations package late on Saturday, with the Senate likely to take up the legislation quickly after that.

GOP Probes DOJ Attorneys On Hunter Biden Crimes.

The House Judiciary Committee, chaired by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), has filed a lawsuit in federal court to compel testimony from two Biden Department of Justice (DOJ) Tax Division attorneys, Mark Daly and Jack Morgan. House Republicans argue the testimony from the DOJ officials is integral to their impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden and his son Hunter’s business dealings.

Daly and Morgan are believed to have intimate knowledge regarding the decision to grant favorable terms in the prosecution of the President’s son for alleged tax crimes. The 59-page filing asks a federal judge to enforce congressional subpoenas previously issued for their testimony.

Concerns regarding the sweat-heart deal between Hunter Biden and the DOJ were brought to light by the House Ways and Means Committee late last year. Testimony from IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler alleged the DOJ ignored the severity of Hunter Biden’s tax crimes out of a sense of political favoritism.

The business dealings of Hunter Biden have come under increasing scrutiny as the House Republican impeachment inquiry moves forward. President Biden’s son is accused of hiding income to avoid paying federal taxes and hiding illicit earnings from corrupt business dealings. Additionally, House Republicans allege Hunter Biden used his access to his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, to secure lucrative business contracts.

House Republicans, moving to the next phase of the impeachment inquiry, expected to begin increasing their focus on the Biden family’s business enterprises and allegations they traded off of Joe Biden’s name and political access.

WATCH: Drone Footage Exposes 2000+ Illegal Migrant Tent City in America.

Officials in New York City have been keeping a massive tent shelter for illegals in Brooklyn shielded from the public. However, new details emerged regarding the facility, which is believed to house upwards of 2,000 illegal immigrants. Drone footage taken by citizen journalists has revealed the shocking extent of the tent facility.

The sprawling tent complex is located at Floyd Bennett Field, situated in the Marine Park neighborhood of Brooklyn. Corporate media coverage of the facility has been relatively scant. Only a handful of outlets provided detailed or consistent reports on how many illegal immigrants at the location.

Floyd Bennett Field began as a civilian-use airfield before being turned into a naval air facility. After the U.S. Navy closed its operations at the airfield, it was transferred to the National Park Service and added to the Gateway National Recreation Area’s Jamaica Bay Unit. The New York Police Department (NYPD) maintains a helicopter landing pad and facility on the property.

Since the start of the southern border crisis under President Joe Biden, New York City has seen an estimated influx of an estimated 175,0000 illegal immigrants. The massive number of illegals has placed tremendous strain on the city’s budget and sent rents skyrocketing as demand for housing has increased. It is unclear if any of the facility’s residents are scheduled for deportation.

Eurosceptic Non-Profit Launches.

Former Trump-admin officials Matt Mowers and Joe Grogan are establishing a non-profit called the EU-US Forum. Their mission is to expose what they term as threatening policies from Europe that are “infiltrating” their way into American governance, including mass immigration and the censorship of political speech.

As a former senior White House advisor at the State Department, Mowers says he is all too familiar with the impacts of such ideologies. “Thanks to the European Union’s left-wing dangerous agenda, Europe has become a hotbed for illegal immigration, the home to mass censorship of free speech, and a case study for the failures of socialism,” he said in a statement.

Together with Grogan, the former director of the White House Domestic Policy Council, the duo says their group aims to combat the spread of socialist policies — like electric vehicle mandates, universal healthcare, and the suppression of free speech — from the European Union into the United States. Their initiative will center around five key policy areas: business and corporate taxation, environmental regulation and policy, meritocracy, political censorship, and immigration policy.

According to Mowers, Europe has turned into a hub for illegal immigration and free speech censorship due to the EU’s left-leaning agenda. He stresses the EU-US Forum’s commitment to resisting “the radical policies originating in Brussels” from gaining traction among American voters.

The EU-US Forum’s policy initiatives reflect a more Eurosceptic stance that was dominant during former President Donald Trump’s first term in office. Meanwhile, the Biden government has undertaken efforts to strengthen ties with the European Union.

KASSAM: ‘Here’s What Could Kill The TikTok Bill in the Senate. Even for Me.’

Raheem Kassam, Editor-in-Chief of The National Pulse, believes a House bill forcing Chinese Communist Party-controlled ByteDance to divest from TikTok could be tighter, warning against Senate changes broadening its scope.

Kassam, who has previously debunked some of the myths around the TikTok bill targeting the likes of Elon Musk’s X, warned that there are some issues with “loose language” in the bill in comments to Puck News.

“Folks are rightfully concerned that these bills contain loose language that could be used to target other platforms or individuals,” he said.

“It’s unnecessarily muddying the waters on what could otherwise be a clean hit against the Chinese Communist Party and its propaganda interests, just because Biden and the [Department of Justice] said so,” he added.

Kassam expressed concern that “[i]f the Senate bill is any worse or broader than the House bill, there will be even wider-spread disquiet.”

The National Pulse chief does not agree with objections to the House bill raised by the likes of Senator Rand Paul — bankrolled by ByteDance investor Jeffrey Yass — that the CCP has no control over TikTok or that it amounts to nothing more significant than “a few dance videos.”

Concerns around provisions in the bill targeting companies “indirectly” held by a foreign adversary state may have more substance to them, however, with some fearing they could be used to target platforms such as Rumble and Telegram that have been less keen to censor conservatives than Silicon Valley.

North Dakota Votes on Age Limits for Congressmen, Senators, BUT…

North Dakota voters will decide on their June 11 primary ballot whether there should be age limits on their state’s federal representation in Congress. The ballot question asks voters to approve a state provision reading: “No person may be elected or appointed to serve a term or a portion of a term in the U.S. Senate or the U.S. House of Representatives if that person could attain 81 years of age by December 31st of the year immediately preceding the end of the term.”

The group backing the age limit initiative — Retire Congress North Dakota — gathered 42,000 signatures across the state, which they submitted in February to place the measure on the June primary ballot. Despite some signatures being disqualified, North Dakota Secretary of State Mike Howe says the group still achieved the necessary signature threshold, and the measure qualifies for the ballot.

While the issue has received significant support in polling of North Dakota voters — about 83 percent of voters view the measure favorably — it is likely not constitutional on the federal level. The U.S. Constitution lays out specific standards and qualifications for being able to run and serve in Congress. While the Constitution does lay out age minimums (25 years of age for the House and 30 years for the Senate), it does not specify a maximum age for serving in Congress.

Proponents of Congressional term limits have — for decades — acknowledged their proposals to limit the number of terms a Member of Congress can serve would require either an amendment to the Constitution or the voluntary acceptance of the limits by elected officials. Limiting the age at which one can serve in Congress would require a similar solution.

In 1995, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in U.S. Term Limits, Inc. v. Thornton that state governments could not enact further qualifications for serving in Congress beyond those enumerated in the Constitution.
