Ukraine Is Losing Again and Wants More Money Again.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky is demanding permission to strike deep inside Russia with Western weapons and more resources as Russian forces make a series of incremental advances in the Donetsk region. “It’s a serious challenge that we can’t use all the weapons we need to stop this enemy,” Zelensky told the French press, referring to the restrictions the West has placed on Ukraine using long-range Western weaponry to strike targets far beyond the front lines.

“Unfortunately, our partners are still afraid of this,” he said. Russia has threatened retaliation if long-range munitions donated by the West begin striking targets far beyond the front lines, with the West allowing Ukrainian strikes a short distance inside Russia already regarded as an unacceptable escalation of the proxy war.

Zelensky is reluctant to unilaterally extend strikes using Western weapons deeper into Russia, fearing this would result in donor countries reducing or even eliminating military aid. He also complains that Ukraine needs more Western weaponry: “We no longer keep it a secret that we were preparing 14 brigades. Do you think it is possible to stop [Russian forces] if only three out of 14 are equipped?”

Russia has captured a series of villages in Donetsk over recent days and maintains an estimated five-to-one artillery advantage despite a large injection of U.S. weaponry. The Joe BidenKamala Harris government has already announced yet another $1.7 billion in aid for Ukraine.

A French journalist who recently returned from Ukraine has said an increasing number of Ukrainian youths regard the war as hopeless, as it is “impossible to take back the Donbas by force of arms, and what’s the point if it’s destroyed?”

Venezuela’s Maduro Challenges Elon Musk to Televised Fight, Musk Accepts.

Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro publicly challenged billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk to a fight on national television following Musk’s social media claims of widespread election fraud in Venezuela’s recent presidential election. Musk took to his social media platform X (formerly Twitter), posting what opponents of the Venezuelan regime say are the actual election results, adding: “Major election fraud by Maduro.”

In addition, Musk reposted a message from Argentina‘s president Javier Milei stating: “Maduro, leave! Venezuelans chose to end the communist dictatorship of Nicolas Maduro. The data announce a crushing victory of the opposition, and the world is waiting for you to recognize the defeat after years of socialism, misery, decadence and death.”

In a televised address, Maduro responded to Musk, characterizing the tech billionaire as a threat to Venezuela. “Social media creates a virtual reality, and who controls the virtual reality? Our new archenemy, the famous Elon Musk,” Maduro said. “Do you want to fight? Let’s do it. Elon Musk, I’m ready,” Maduro said.

“I accept,” Musk said, responding to the challenge in a post on X before adding: ” If I win, he resigns as dictator of Venezuela. If he wins, I give him a free ride to Mars.”

In a bizarre turn, the Venezuelan dictator claimed the SpaceX founder and Tesla CEO intended to use an army to invade Venezuela, aided by his “space rockets.”

The contentious election saw both Maduro and his opponent, Edmundo Gonzalez, claim victory. Various exit polls suggested a win for the opposition, though the regime-controlled National Electoral Council declared Maduro the winner with 51 percent of the vote.

The Carter Center, a U.S.-based organization, expressed concerns over the electoral process, citing a “complete lack of transparency” and inability to verify the election results. They reported that the election did not meet international standards and thus “cannot be considered democratic.”

Establishment Attacks Populist Lawmaker for Warning School Kids About Knife Crime and Rape Gangs.

A populist member of the German regional parliament in Brandenburg has been criticized for speaking to schoolchildren aged nine to 12 in Potsdam about rape gangs and knife crime. Alternative for Germany (AfD) member Dennis Hohloch told media he felt it was his duty to warn the children. Germany—and Europe at large—has faced waves of migration from Africa and the Middle East, leading to rising social tensions and crime.

The AfD politician’s opponents, however, are calling the remarks inappropriate. Critics, like Social Democrat Steffen Freiberg, Brandenburg’s current Minister of Education, said that Hohloch should have been aware that teachers cannot state personal political views to their students, while others claimed the subject matter was not appropriate for children that age. Hohloch says the criticism is an attempt to silence him on certain topics and that he will not stand for it.

Brandenburg will see an election in September, and the AfD is currently the most popular party in the region. In prior polls, its support was surging among German youth.

Sexual assault and incidents of rape have become major issues in Germany. The National Pulse previously reported that a study documenting incidents of attacks shows that sine since 2015, as many as 7,000 German women and girls have been assaulted or raped by migrants, and that migrants are greatly overrepresented in sex crime statistics.

Attempts have been made to silence other AfD members recently. AfD politician Marie-Thérèse Kaiser was fined by a German court in May for daring to quote official German crime statistics during a debate, noting the alarming rates of sexual crimes among Afghan migrants in particular.

Far-Left Extremists Claim Responsibility for Sabotaging Railways.

Far-left extremists are claiming responsibility for sabotaging the French railway network just prior to the opening of the Paris Olympics. French media reports that an email linked to the far-left anarchist website “riseup.net” claimed credit for the arson attacks on the infrastructure of state-owned railway operator SNCF, impacting around a million people overall. Air travel was also disrupted as a result of bomb threats.

On Sunday, July 28, a far-left extremist student was arrested at an SNCF site in possession of wire cutters, spray paints, access keys to private SNCF areas, and a book on riots. The man, identified as Valentin M., was taken into custody after a train driver reported several suspicious individuals inside private SNCF areas to police.

Outgoing Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin has stated that investigators have identified a number of suspects who could have carried out last week’s sabotage, stating, “The question is whether they were manipulated or whether it was for their own benefit.”

There have been multiple concerns over possible terror threats to the Olympic games from radical Islamic extremists, with a video released by an apparent Hamas supporter claiming Paris would see “rivers of blood” for French support of Israel.

Over 3,500 people who applied for jobs related to the Olympics were rejected after failing terrorism and security-related background checks.

Paris Olympics Organizers Apologize for Anti-Christian ‘Last Supper’ Act.

The organizers of the Paris 2024 Olympics have issued an apology for a segment during Friday’s opening ceremony featuring DJ and producer Barbara Butch, a noted LGBT activist, and a number of drag queens and dancers appearing to mock the Last Supper of Jesus Christ and his disciples.

Thomas Jolly, the director of the ceremony, claimed in an interview with French media that the scene was based on The Feast of the Gods, a painting by Dutch artist Jan Harmensz van Biljert depicting pagan gods celebrating a divine marriage, with Dionysus, the Greek god of wine, at the center of the table, rather than The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci.

The performance drew criticism from multiple Christian leaders and conservatives worldwide, and many remain unconvinced by Jolly’s explanation.

The French Catholic Church’s conference of bishops labeled the scene as derisive of Christianity. American Roman Catholic Bishop Robert Barron also condemned the scene and rejected the apology as “woke duplicity” and “anything but an apology.”

After the ceremony, Mississippi-based telecommunications company C Spire pulled its advertising from the Olympics. A spokesman for the wireless provider said they were “shocked by the mockery of the Last Supper.”

Shortly after the opening ceremony, Paris saw a massive power outage. This followed the disruption of the railway network and air travel due to sabotage and bomb threats.

Ironically, the only building in the entire city that remained lit was the Catholic Sacré-Cœur Basilica.

Illegal Migration Top Concern Ahead of National Election in This European Nation.

According to a Eurobarometer survey published Friday, Austrians view illegal migration as the EU’s biggest challenge, surpassing concerns about the Russia-Ukraine war and climate change alarmism. Nearly half of Austrian respondents prioritized migration issues over other global issues.

The Eurobarometer flash survey 550, conducted from June 25 to July 2, 2024, surveyed 25,658 EU citizens online among the 27 Member States. Across the EU, 50 percent of respondents identified the Ukraine war as their primary concern, followed by migration and environmental issues.

Despite these worries, about two-thirds of EU citizens, including Austrians, express concern about the EU’s security over the next five years.

However, 58 percent of Europeans remain optimistic about the EU’s future, while 37 percent are pessimistic. Approximately half believe the EU economy will perform well in the coming years, though the other half are doubtful.

Austria is heading into a national election on September 29 as the populist Freedom Party (POe) led by firebrand Herbert Kickl continues to dominate recent polls. Kickl, who previously served as Austrian Interior Minister from 2017 to 2019, is totally opposed to mass migration, creating a campaign in 2023 dubbed “Fortress Austria” in which he called for border walls to be erected along Austria’s borders at immigration “pressure points.”

Concerns across Europe regarding illegal immigration, as evidenced by the Eurobarometer survey, have led to a surge popularity of other populist parties, particularly among young people.

In Germany, the Alternative for Germany (AfD) was reported as being the most popular party among those aged 14 to 29. Similar trends have been seen in France, where Marine Le Pen’s National Rally garnered nearly a third of the youth vote earlier this year in the European Parliament elections.

Olympic Opening Ceremony Sees Mock Last Supper Featuring Drag Queens.

The opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris is facing a barrage for featuring a group of drag queens and transgender individuals appearing to recreate Leonardo Di Vinci’s masterpiece, The Last Supper. While the exact intention of the display is unknown, users on X (formerly Twitter) took the performance as being intended to mock Christians. The Scottish Catholic group Sancta Familia Media labeled the performance blasphemy.

Another part of the opening ceremony revealed a beheaded woman in the likeness of Marie Antoinette, who was killed by violent radicals during the French Revolution in 1793, along with her husband, King Louis XVI.

The drag queen Last Supper comes after France removed Christian crosses from art promoting the Olympics this past March. The artwork, which depicts the Paris skyline, erased the cross atop the Dôme des Invalides, where Napoleon Bonaparte is entombed.

Responding to the controversial opening ceremony, Marion Maréchal-Le Pen posted on X: “To all the Christians of the world who are watching the #Paris2024 ceremony and felt insulted by this drag queen parody of the Last Supper, know that it is not France that is speaking but a left-wing minority ready for any provocation.”

A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE.

Anti-Christian sentiment and attacks on churches, cemeteries, and other locations have been a major issue in France for years. Several major churches and cathedrals have been vandalized or even set on fire, as was the case with the Cathedral of Nantes in 2020, in which a Rwandan migrant was arrested for the blaze. The same Rwandan man murdered a priest in the city just a year later.

Catholics in France, while a majority, have also been targeted repeatedly by Islamic extremists, including the brutal murder of Catholic priest Father Jacques Hamel on July 26, 2016, the same day as the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games.

Far-left extremists have also repeatedly caused violence against French Catholics. In 2021, a group of Antifa militants attacked a Roman Catholic procession in Paris that marked the 150th anniversary of those martyred during the 1871 Paris commune. Several elderly people and children were attacked.

Dutch Populist Geert Wilders Targeted by Disgusting Feces Attacks.

Geert Wilders, leader of the Party for Freedom (PVV), has receiving packages at his offices in the Dutch parliament stuffed with toilet paper and feces. The Dutch populist, whose party came first in the Dutch elections last year and is now part of the ruling coalition government, said on X (formerly Twitter), “Ok, it’s not a letter bomb, but still: would the person who sent me packages with toilet paper and feces via the Dutch Parliament address today and a few times before please stop doing so, it’s really too sick for words.”

For years, Wilders has been on the receiving end of death threats due to his anti-Islam views. He has previously called for the Quran to be banned in the Netherlands. For instance, aPakistani cricket player was sentenced to 12 years in prison last year for putting a bounty on Wilders’s head worth three million rupees (then around €21,000/$22,500) in 2018. Khalid Latif was tried in absentia in the Netherlands, and remains at large in Pakistan.

Earlier this year, Wilders softened his rhetoric on Islam and said he was scrapping prior proposals to ban the Quran and mosques, in order to make progress on agreeing a coalition with the establishment right.

While Wilders may have changed his public stance on Islam, he remains a steadfast supporter of Israel. He has suggested in the aftermath of the October 7 attacks that Palestinians should be relocated to nearby Jordan, arguing it was always intended to be the Palestinian state.

Several Arab states, including Jordan, Bahrain, Yemen, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), condemned Wilders for his suggestion.

Arson Attacks, Bomb Threats Plunge France Into Chaos as Paris Olympics Begin.

The Summer Olympics in Paris, France, are plunging into chaos amid a series of “coordinated malicious acts” targeting the city’s transport network. Arsonists lit fires inside pipes holding electrical cables crucial to the high-speed rail network across the European Union (EU) member state, and bomb threats shut down the Paris, Gare du Nord railway station and triggered an evacuation at the EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg hub at the tri-border area between France, Germany, and Switzerland.

State-owned railway operator SNCF says arsonists targeted lines serving routes from Paris to Lille in the north, Bordeaux in the west, and Strasbourg, which borders Germany and hosts plenary sessions of the European Parliament, in the east. Eurostar says services between Paris and London, England, are also suffering, with some trains redirected or canceled and many travelers suffering extended journey times.

The disruption will impact at least a quarter of a million people today, ahead of the Olympics’ opening ceremony, and a further 800,000 people across the weekend.

“The consequences on the rail network are massive and serious,” said outgoing Prime Minister Gabriel Attal. “I am thinking of all the French people, all the families, who were getting ready to go on vacation… Our intelligence services and law enforcement are mobilized to find and punish the perpetrators of these criminal acts,” he added.

As of the time of publication, the authorities have offered no suggestions as to who could be responsible for the attacks.

The French government has implemented an unprecedented security operation in hopes of safeguarding the multicultural capital during the Olympics, deploying over 45,000 police officers, 10,000 soldiers, and 2,000 private security agents.

Sellout Meloni Gets Key EU Jobs as Orban’s Patriots Sidelined.

Italy’s Giorgia Meloni, who has been currying favor with the European Union’s establishment since becoming Prime Minister, has secured several posts for her European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) group in the European Parliament. The Patriots for Europe group spearheaded by Hungary’s Viktor Orban, who has stood up to the EU more resolutely, have been totally sidelined.

The newly formed Patriots are the European Parliament’s third-largest bloc, with 84 Members of the European Parliament (MEP). Orban’s Fidesz party and Marine Le Pen’s National Rally (RN) are the main forces in the grouping. However, they have been excluded from all leadership positions in the European Parliament.

Meanwhile, Meloni’s ECR has gained multiple parliamentary vice presidencies despite having fewer MEPs than the Patriots, seemingly as a reward for submitting to the globalist groupings that hold sway in the EU.

The favor shown to the ECR over the Patriots, despite the Patriots having more seats, has triggered accusations of undemocratic practices.

ABANDONING POPULISM.

After the European Parliament elections, Meloni made it clear that she rejected an alliance with Orban, seemingly a natural ally.

The developments highlight the different paths undertaken by Orban and Meloni. The Hungarian leader, whose country now holds the rotating European Council presidency, is focused on stopping mass migration and trying to bring peace to Europe by visiting Ukraine, Russia, and China in attempts to facilitate negotiations.

Orban has also spoken with former President Donald J. Trump, who has promised to end the Ukraine war if elected President in November.

In retaliation for Orban’s overseas visits and for saying the EU has a “pro-war policy,” EU foreign affairs chief Josep Borrell stated that upcoming key meetings of foreign and defense ministers would be moved out of Hungary.

Meanwhile, Meloni has sought the approval of the EU establishment, putting more effort into supporting Ukraine than delivering on her election promises to stop slash immigration. In July 2023, she went so far as to parrot the establishment line that “Europe and Italy need immigration.”
